This is my first full engine rebuild. These guys are obviously slammed busy (which is a good sign) and they still took the time to discuss the options I had to consider, my goals, and budget. Building a gen IV BBC stroker for nitrous in 2020 is kinda crazy with all of the LS options out there, but these guys heard what I was trying to do and pointed me in the right direction. Felt good to talk to someone knowledgeable that wasnt trying to steer me into spending money, and actually pointed out ways I could save a few bucks. Highly recommended.

Jerry,Randy, and Alan have been great to me in all my engine rebuilds. Very knowledgeable in knowing the right stuff in building motors.Even Randy came out to help me get oil pressure on a build that they did for me years ago. How many builders do that for their customers thank you guys at Central build number 4 now.

These guys are super knowledgeable, super friendly. I felt like the price was good for rebuilding my Chevy small block marine 5.7. Jerry and crew made it perfect and it served as a great workhorse engine for several hard seasons of work. Im dropping it off again today for another rebuild because I trust these guys with my business!

I brought an intake / exhaust manifold in for surfacing on Monday afternoon and it was finished Tuesday morning. The work was done right and at an extremely reasonable price to boot.Super cool old-school shop that does good work fast and for a fair price? Hard to find and even harder to beat!

Had my heads rebuild there and they did a great job. they did it for cheaper than everyone else and were very honest, and professional about their job. I liked this place and I would have them rebuild my heads again. go to these guys, they are good at what they do, they wont jerk you around. If they dont know something they wont bullshit, they will tell you they dont know. I respect and like that about them....

I had Central Cylinder Head perform all the machine work on my Ford 351c approx 4 years ago. They completely rebuilt my heads. They decked the block, bored the cylinders 30 over, line bored my cam journal, machined my crank 10 under. Then called me to ask if I wanted my rods bored because I had everything else done on the motor. I told them I couldnt afford to because I was already over on my budget. I received a call later that afternoon and they did them for no charge because they had another set they did and the machine was already set up. They did an awesome job for a great price. My 408 Cleveland stroker motor puts out 436hp to the tires of my 1978 Bronco and I have had absolutely no problems with the motor. Central cylinder head does awesome work and I recommend them for any machine work you may need. Thanks.

Had my Chevy small block rebuilt and had some mild performance parts installed, the guys were great and the owner is great guy! have a few hundred miles on it and runs awesome! Good price, good service,and excellent work.

These guys did an entire block prep, bore and cylinder head job for me at a great price... plus they supplied a nice rebuild kit at a better price than what I could find anywhere else. No BS, straight to the point and friendly.

Ive tried many of the rebuilders in the metro area with mixed results and now only take my stuff to Central.I cant believe those other reviews are talking about the same shop. Over the last 15 years I have had two engines for boats remanufactured at Central and the first one is still performing with almost 2000 hours on it. That was a 181 CID chevy 4 cylinder.The most recent engine, a 350 CID chevy, has almost 200 hours on it since May and is one of the best SB chevy motors I have ever owned out of 20 or so.They tore it down, told me why it failed and then recommended steps to make it run right. When it was done I picked it up and installed it. Since May 2012 this engine has seen severe use in three states and has been 50 miles out in the pacific ocean 10 or 11 times on trips lasting up to 18 hours. Short of racing nothing is harder on a motor than service as a boat engine.I go out with complete confidence in this engine and have had only oil changes to worry about all summer. I look forward to many more years of reliable service.Central has the experience and know how to build you an awesome motor if you have the sense to listen to what they tell you.Oh and then there are the many welding repairs including cast aluminum outdrive housings and other very expensive parts that saved me from replacing them.

Wes , So the other day when you called and inquired about machine work i answered the phone in the shop. Sometimes there is A lot of back ground noise and it may not be the easiest to hear the person on the phone. So when i asked you if you could repeat the question i thought you had asked me if it were an Indian meaning Indian motorcycle engine. So i asked if you could hold so i could get to the phone in the office where there is much less noise. When i picked the phone back up you apparently already hung up.
