Without Hannah The Pet Society, I could not afford my dog. I have never heard of or encountered any other “pet health insurance“ or low-cost veterinary services that come even close to the value HPS offers. Every single thing is included in their plan. I pay my monthly premium and their training classes, vet appointments, behavioral specialist, dental cleaning, x-rays, bloodwork are all included.HPS takes wonderful care of my elderly terrier. He has some chronic medical conditions and they do x-rays and other extensive tests on him whenever necessary, and actually demand a high level of care from me as the pet parent.My dog was a rescue terrier from the streets of California who has a permanently fractured hip, dental neglect, definite emotional trauma, and abuse that we know at least included being shot by a BB gun. His care is a combination of physical and psychological, and Hannah The Pet Society is set up in a way to handle that. They are the equivalent of a dual diagnosis facility… But for animals!He went to their groups and training classes, and saw a behavior specialist veterinarian over the course of a few months when we were doing intensive training and rehab. He has three prescriptions a month through them that are all included in our monthly premium, just like his appointments and all of the procedures he undergoes. He had very bad dental neglect before I rescued him, and Hannah has given him a full dental cleaning just about every year, which involves sedating him etc.They are instantly available on the phone during their business hours and are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about any topic and can relate it to your dog specifically, cross-referencing your question with what’s on your animal’s chart. If you have a question that their techs can’t answer question they will take specific notes, talk to their medical team, and call you back the same day. The people who answer the phones are actually friendly, trained and educated and are happy to answer any questions.Like I said, without this coverage I could not afford to give my dog the quality of life that he deserves. Dealing with HPS is always a pleasurable experience and almost feels a bit fancy! They have a little “doggy limo” that will come pick your dog up if you don’t have time or don’t drive. They will trim your dog’s nails and express it’s anal glands every time they come in, and you can actually just ask them to do it and they’ll just do it real quick if you stop by. It feels so luxurious to have them doing so many tests on your dog as needed instead of dealing with a typical vet where your financial limits determine the quality of care your animal can get. I know what it feels like to go to the vet and have them say “Well, there might be an issue with this… but we can’t tell you anything until we can run a blood panel and that’s going to be $600.” Living that way and dealing with your pets health that way is such a nightmare and I really do tell everyone I know who expresses concern about their pets about Hannah! HPS is simple and clean and competent and very, very accessible with their app, website, and phone calls or email.I rarely write reviews, but I took the time to write this one because of how much they’ve done for me!

Bad service. Undertrained staff. Horrible place to work. Truly hope they do better for their current employees. For a veterinary clinic to not provide mental health coverage…….. it’s horrifying. Hope that they get a phone system that works. Hope that they get a vaccine reminder system that works. So many hopes for this company.

My roommate highly recommended Hannah Pet Hospital and I finally signed up! Dominek Ferrucci was so helpful on the phone, answered all of my questions, and took the time to review everything with me. I so appreciate the time and care that he took, it makes me feel very reassured about my choice! Hannah was able to get my dog in to be seen immediately, even as a new client. Thank you!

We now have our third pet with Hannah. The staff is caring and attentive. My only gripes are length of time for non-emergent appointments and due to recent health scares pets must be dropped off rather than parents there in room for exam. Id much rather be there to interactively advocate and ask questions for my kids. I will say that Hanna is a great value. The monthly fees may seem high but considering what you get over the course of a year (especially with older pets) its very much worth it.

I had amazing help from Dominek since the first day we got in contact about Hannah. Due to my work schedule and replying slow he was very patient with me & still made sure I was interested & checking on me.He answered all my questions that I had & even questions that I had about my 11 week old puppy.When we went through the enrollment process he made sure I understood what I was signing & how Hannah worked. I really appreciate everything he has done for me already. I would recommend talking to him if you guys are interested in enrolling for Hannah or have any questions.

I have been a Hannah member for 8+ years. Sadly, my cat Lucy passed away in March 2021. The Hannah team was AMAZING! She received the very best care possible. I have now decided that I can open my heart again to a new cat. Of course I called Hannah and I received excellent customer service in getting my Birdie signed up. Dominek Ferrucci made everything so smooth and such a positive experience. I look forward to another very long and happy relationship with Hannah.

Had a really great experience working with a gentleman named Dominek Ferrucci. He made signing up really easy and got my puppy who was having a bad allergic reaction seen same day. He even texted me throughout the day checking in to see how she was doing. Within a few hours after appt her hives were all gone! Got my friend here. They have perfect insurance. You dont actually own pet but you can. If you want to you can. Whats happens is, your the pet parent and own the pet you then pay a monthly insurance and any time you need a vet, the visit 100% free. Thats right no out of pocket from you. Even if it costs $6,000.00

This place okay so this place takes care of the thing I love most in this world my dog and with it comes to peace of mind that I know that I pay once a month and anything that happens to her is covered. The peace of mind I get the mat knowing that I get away so much money a month and I couldnt afford paying a $2,000 vet bill if she were to get hit by a car I cannot live with myself if I had to put my dog down because of money I am gladly paid monthly for it. The only reason they dont get a higher score is it is very hard to get a appointment you normally have to wait at least two weeks but they do try to get your pet meds to them a but quicker then that. Also I have ask them for months to trim her nail or dental care and have not done it

I called yesterday to try and get my dog on the pre-existing plan I have my cat on with Hannah and Dominek Ferrucci was such a tremendous help! I wasn’t able to sign up immediately because I had to talk to my partner to confirm our decision, so Dominek went ahead and texted me so we could keep in contact and even texted me this morning to check in! He was readily available, provided timely assistance and answered all of the questions I had about adding my dog to my plan. It’s so extremely helpful to be able to sign up and schedule our first appointment over text rather than needing to call again. Being so busy and stressed with an injured pet, Dominek made sure we were taken care of and scheduled for next week, right when we need to be seen! Awesome service these past two days, can’t recommend enough 💫

I was an existing member with Hannah with previous pet. I got new puppy recently and had to take to vet just for Vacinations and flea/tick medications, general check up and schedule spraying for her. Initial Vet cost was $400, not including $800 spaying fee for surgery. That didnt include any post medications. In one visit I spent the equivalent of four months services with Hannah, adding spaying cost bring to a year worth services for just 2 visits to vet. Pet insurance cost 75 to 120 per month and didnt cover everything (actually only about half of Hannahs services) not including training.Hannah has always been great, friendly, know you by name, and facility always well kept/clean. I called Dominek Ferrucci with Hannah who was very knowledgeable and polite. He answered all my questions and easily explained services and monthly fees. I dont know why anyone would have an issue with Hannah Pet Socuety, its a no brainer. And the rumor they own your pet is not true, its verbiage in contact so they are able to provide service with no deductibles - you can cancel service with them (there is a cancelation fee) but you still keep your pet. If you want to keep paying high money for traditional Vet service and pet insurance going it covers, then go for it.

I found out about Hannah toward the end of my sweet cat Dora’s life. Through the process of seeing and diagnosing her, and even having to say goodbye, they were compassionate and prompt to respond, and I really felt like I had a partner in making one of the most difficult decisions in life. In particular, Dominek Ferrucci was available whenever I needed him with all the information I needed, as well as consistent warmth and understanding. Months later, he’s helping me with planning for the care of our next kitten before they even come home! Highly recommended, they go above and beyond to work with your needs.

Hannah the Pet Society will harm your beloved pets more than it will help them.Edit: Hannah The Pet Society has now responded to my review above claiming that I’m not a member nor have I visited either location. LOL based on what? The name you see on my review? That is my maiden name, so yeah you probably won’t find me in your records by that. But to completely deny I am a member is ABSURD. I’ve been a member with my two cats since fall of 2017. And have been to BOTH locations. We were lied to about the contract and then rushed into signing it. Since signing, my cat has had sneezing episodes like crazy and every time we take her to get checked they just send us home with antibiotics that don’t help. Traveling is very stressful for her and so to have to bring her so much, with NO SOLUTIONS BEING IMPLEMENTED, is not something I prefer to do. During a visit, they closed the kennel door on her tail and so it is broken now. My other cat came home with fleas from his last visit. I am allergic to fleas, and now dealing with health issues. I have addressed these concerns with Hannah’s and they just completely deny any accountability and tell me that I can cancel my contract (after paying them $350 to transfer my cats back into my name). I am BEYOND frustrated and in the process of cancelling now.Edit 2: the company has reached out to me to address these issues after I updated my review. Francesca was so kind and actually willing to listen to the issues I was having instead of just telling me that I can cancel. For that, I am amending my review to give four stars. Yes, the way my cats have been treated (or not treated) is not acceptable, but I truly felt that Hannah’s (Francesca specifically) is trying to make it right and Francesca let me know that they have gone through . With utmost compassion for what has happened, she worked very willingly with me to provide a solution for my family.

Update:. We came into your clinic and called multiple times. No one tried to resolve anything. When we demanded that you cancel our membership and return the ownership of Mr Pepper to us, then you tried to resolve the problem. But by then it was too late. You cancelled our membership and returned ownership of Mr Pepper to us, and we have the records to show that. What you have not done is to send his records to his new vet like you promised that you would. Still waiting.We took our Mr Pepper up there because he wasnt feeling well. They ran a blood test and told us we would hear something in the next 24 hours. It was the next week, after we called multiple times, before we got a call back. It was during a telehealth visit so I had to let it go to voicemail. I have called them multiple times and went up there once to get the results. The only thing that the receptionist ever tells me is what they cant do. They never offer to help me, or follow up to make sure that the vet calls me back. They never call me back at all I will not pay anything else to them because obviously they dont want my business. Avoid this place. They only want your money. There are three vets within a mile of me. Thats where I will take Pepper to.

Hannah is Terrific! Weve been with Hannah for several years since we adopted our Cool SuperDog Karl! He has been a True Joy and his health has been maintained/sustained by the Excellent and Competent Staff each and every time Karl needs a Check-up, vaccines,or any other treatment/medicines he might need. Absolutely the best place!!! My dog went to 2 hospital for a foreign body lodged in his small and large intestine and they didn’t offer payment plans and bill was over $3,000 after calling so many places and no luck I felt hopeless and thought my poor pup was gonna die on me but I called Hannah pet clinic and they saved my Lowlows life and offered me a payment plan I couldn’t refuse I’m so grateful and thankful for them thanks to the doctors nurses and especially thanks to Sarah for helping me through the process and getting Lowlow taken care of ☺️❤️

Anna G. at the Tigard location is wonderful! Our two small dogs have a lot of anxiety when it comes time to going to the vet for anything big or small. After several unsuccessful nail trim attempts, it was a relief to find Anna and her team take on the challenge and successfully work with our boys and trim their nails. Anna gave a detailed report of how things went and specific advice and education for next time. We also had the pleasure of working with Anna a second time when one of our boys was attacked by a dog at the park and needed stitches and a drain. It brought us comfort knowing she was there taking special care of our scared, painful, and anxious boy. Thanks Anna and the team at the Tigard location!

Any time I’ve had a question or concern they have addressed it quickly. In the final months of my dog’s life, her medical needs were extensive. I can’t describe how thankful we are to have worked with Dominek Ferrucci to get our cat into Hannah. We used Hannah previously on our last cat who was FIV positive, amongst a myriad of other health issues, all the way through the last chapter of his life during this pandemic, and had a difficult, though very well supported, experience because of their help. We recently adopted the sweetest little street cat with a couple of big pre-existings. After initially being turned down because of those, and the panic that we may have to take him back to the humane society, he went to bat for us, and our absolute charmer of a new bud, and Hannah will now be his pet-care provider. I would like to share an experience I just had with an amazing Employer, Dominek F. We had a 911 emergency. I had to call literally 5 mins before closing time. This man stayed later then his shift and helped me figure out our situation to get our pet the help she needed. His costumer service was amazing. Made me feel so good about enrolling my pet back into hannah with 0 regrets. I appreciate the time he gave us and the professional customer service. I felt the need to share my experience and give this man a compliment because not every employee will go out of there way or stay later to help someone. I’ve had experiences of someone telling me they’d call us back and never hear back from them. Again I appreciate Dominek and hope to work with him again ❤️

We have four pets with Hannah, two cats and two dogs. We have been with Hannah for over two years. When we call they are able to get us appointments in a timely manner. I read other reviews regarding front office staff being rude, I have not ever encountered any rude or demeaning staff at Hannah. They always treat our animals and us humans well. We did some training with Polly who is amazing!One of my cats had a lump and they saw her in a timely manner and kept her for a day for observation. They ran tests and determined it was a benign issue. I am thankful that my cat is ok and it didn’t cost me anything more than what I pay monthly for her to stay for a day and get tests ran. The predictable payment when one of my pets need care is where the value comes in with the monthly payments. My only issue is that there isn’t a Vancouver location, which is semi concerning if we ever have a pet emergency.Overall, I am grateful I know my pets will get the care they need and I am not worried about extra cost or the stress of not being able to afford care.

Hannah’s Better Business Bureau rating is a D- and for good reason. We’ve been with Hannah for around 6 years. If your experience is like ours, over time, they will charge you more, while offering fewer services. The front staff will treat you like garbage, laugh at you, place you on a vindictive, forever-hold. Your animal will not see the same vet regularly. You will get conflicting advice on administering medication, to the detriment of your pet. Even still, you will rarely talk to an actual vet. If you take your skittish dog in for training, they will accuse you of hitting your dog and won’t believe you when you assure them otherwise. It’s not actually YOUR pet. Hannah owns your animal. You will regret ever signing up with Hannah. There are some pluses. Our cat developed diabetes about four years ago even though they stopped providing food and pest prevention (both of which were included when we signed up) and upped the monthly fee, we do not have to pay for insulin. When I became ill and could no longer care for our dog, we were able to quickly find a good family through Hannah. Regardless, I will never recommend Hannah The Pet Society. Check out Trupanion. You can go to a vet you TRUST, have care paid for upfront, and know that you, rather than a business, owns your pet.

WARNING: You are giving up ownership of your dog. When you sign up with Hannah the Pet Society, they maintain ownership of your dog, and you essentially get to lease them for $80+ a month (that’s the puppy price - I believe adult dogs are cheaper). To end the “membership” you must pay over $300 to transfer the ownership back to you. The fee is annoying, but the real insult is that they are technically the owners of the dog that I raised. To be clear, I got my dog from a third party and not at all through HPS. I thought I was just signing up for a typical vet service.They claim to provide training, but it is difficult to come by. I became a member in November and wasn’t able to get my dog into training until January. The trainer is only available about once a month because she is booked so far out. This is not her fault; they need to hire additional staff to improve availability. Hold times are often long. I’ve waited 25 minutes on hold. Again, a sign that they are understaffed.I have never spoken to my dogs vet - in person or on the phone. The assistants are all very nice, but it would be nicer to know that there is actually a vet back there caring for my dog.I don’t know how this type of adoption model is allowed to operate. They are using your dog as collateral to make sure you stay as a member or pay their ridiculous fee. I will be calling their office tomorrow to pay $387 to buy MY DOG back from them.Strongly encourage you to read Hannahs page on Better Business Bureau before registering.

I got my two buddies on with Hannah roughly a year ago. Since then, my little Bear (dog) has had quite a bit of work done...teeth pulled, he has a serious heart condition, which he had to be transported to the other facility to get testing done, etc.....I could have never done any of that without Hannah. I am poor. I have never had phone calls asking me to find new clients. I have never ever went without care. When I call, we discuss then he comes in. If you are looking for quality care (medical AND dental) at a low monthly rate, with NO co-pays, meds included, and access to 24 hour emergency hospital....then this is your place. Plain and simple. Love you guys Hannah and thank you for all you do. ETA: over the weekend Bear crossed the rainbow bridge. Hannah was extremely helpful in this process. I want to thank all of you 4 the care you provided Bear in his golden years. You will be seeing me again soon...:)

I have searched everywhere for affordable pet insurance but was not happy with the rates other companies gave me. Im so glad I found Hannah pet society! I am able to not stress about co-pays, or any other out of pocket expanses other than the monthly membership (which is so affordable!!) when it comes to my pets health. I brought my dog and senior cat in today for their first visit! I am very happy that their first visit went extremely well. I was nervous since it is my dogs first time at the vet but the vet assistant was very kind and made my baby feel comfortable enough to follow her into the building. Thank you Hannah Staff for the love and care you give to all of our fur babies. I look forward to becoming a life long member!

I used to pay $72 a month for having a cat with Hannah which they provided food but now they take the food away and still charge the same price. When I want an appointment I must leave my cat there from 7:30 to 4:00 and then they will call me at the end of day for me to come pick my cat up. This is ridiculous and inhumane. Not good service for a pet service to mistreat animals like this. They blame covid but really no excuse. Prices are high for lousy service.Update: They have now 4 hour appointments because us people have voices our displeasure. I hope they will go back to 1 hour appointments so I can stay with my pet and provide comfort in times of distress. A check up after all should not take 4 hours and thankfully not 8 hours anymore.

I have Hannah for my elderly service animal, I will only take him to the Tigard location. He is 15 years old and has needed lots of services. Every time i have trusted the Portland branch to take care of my boy they have caused more harm. He has come home covered in feces when he went in he had just had a bath. They wrapped his head so tight after surgery his lips began to sell I had to take his wrap off by their direction and then he had to have the surgery again.

I was feeling super uneasy about the communication from the staff here regarding my Pup’s care. I was so confused because my older dog has been a member for 7 yrs and we have never had an issue. I made phone calls and felt like they were always too busy to answer my questions or address my concerns so I sent an email laying it all out.Today I received a phone call from Heather about that email. She took the time to address my concerns, answer questions, and most importantly take accountability for her team’s ball drops. Thank you Heather.I am feeling much better about my kiddo’s future care here and I can say I am a proud member of the Hannah Family. I am giving 5 stars regardless of my recent poor experience because they are taking steps to improve.Cheers to your team’s hard work and perseverance during these tough times of 2020. Very poor customer service. Left waiting for groomer to call me after dropping off my dog for half hour, left them my phone number to call back on for grooming appt, and deliberately called my wife and woke her up, even though I explicitly mentioned to call my number . This happens multiple times. When I call back to ask why I wasn’t called, they then respond and tell me they left voice mail, and when I asked if it was my number, the response is all annoyed and non-apologetic. Customer service is lackluster and unprofessional

The absolute worst service. I took my dog to the emergency location because he was having diarrhea and vomiting and he stayed over night. No x-rays were done to rule out a blockage, after I was told an x-ray would be done. It’s as if the staff have no clue what they’re talking about, every phone call gives different information. When the vet called to “update” me he gave me the typical “nothing looks wrong but here’s 4 different medications” and they were all the manage the symptoms instead of fixing the problem. He doesn’t even have something as simple as an updated weight in his records. The staff all go around all my questions. I’m a nurse so I know what questions to ask and I know when the answers don’t make sense. If I wasn’t a healthcare professional I might fall for the “monitor and bring back if anything changes” bs. Just say “we don’t know what’s wrong because we didn’t run proper tests like an x-ray” and go on with your day. This is only one bad experience out of several. If I could give a negative rating I would.

Been a member for 4 years. Was very happy with the pet training until they changed the schedule and I could no longer go due to work schedule. The service with my dog is very hit or miss. I have to fight to get a doctor to call me and I have probably been in 20 times for the same problem

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR INSURANCE/MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM. You will not get the services needed in a timely manner. They will make you wait weeks for necessary, important, and even emergency care. If you do make it to that appointment youll be lucky if they actually get to the treatment. Half the time they give pets back with no procedure and horrible excuses as to why. Then they make you reschedule and again you have to wait weeks. This is a horrible place that is harming animals by refusing to provide proper care in a timely manner.

I have read so many horror stories since joining Hannah the Pet Society, and I really dont understand them! I have had nothing but a great experience there every time. The whole owning your pet thing is a little hard to wrap your brain around, but I agreed to it and have had no issues. The staff have always doted on my girl every time weve gone in by giving her pets and treats and love. Training was great, and the vet who signed me up was fantastic and caring. I ended up canceling due to me living in Washington and it being too far. The cancelation fee was actually less than they told me, and I agreed to it so it wasnt some hidden cost I didnt know about. They also offer a payment plan if you cant pay it all at once. When I called to cancel they told me someone would be in touch within the week. I called Monday and they called back Thursday and got it all wrapped up on Friday. Everything went down exactly as they explained it to me day one. Nobody was ever any less than pleasant. I honestly have had a great experience at Hannah the Pet Society.

If you love your dog, do not bring them here. We brought our dog in for a scheduled surgery (that we had to wait 2 months for) and they thought she was there for a teeth cleaning. No one seems to have any idea what they are doing or what is going on over there. They removed a mass and 2 months later still wont return our calls to tell us WHAT the mass actually was. They also left her in a cage for over 5 hours while she was waiting for her procedure which was not necessarily and extremely distressing. We are completely in the dark with regards to our dogs healthcare and worse - when you sign up for this service they OWN your pet and you have to BUY them back. This is one nightmare after another and we are still trying to figure out how to get out of it.

(Updated!) SCAM SCAM!! Extremely un-professional staff and crazy policies! I took my dog in to get neutered a total of three times, Not once was she actually neutered! They said she was to aggressive. First off she is a dog in a cage that you already had me drug up before arriving, and again she is already being help in a kennel at this point! Secondly this is the same dog that cuddles with baby’s and loves everyone she meets after five seconds of giving her affection! Thirdly this is your job!!!! All I asked was that you did your job! Paying almost $90.00 a month for what? Then I had come to some hard times because of my job and you know COVID-19!, I couldn’t pay the monthly fee’s for essentially nothing at this point. They called repeatedly treating collections, when I had already told a staff member of these hard times. Three months later I have my pay back to normal and want to make things right so I don’t owe them anything and they want to charge me upwards of $600.00. I can’t wait for a rude comment from someone high up at Hannah!(Your telling me in a public forum that I’m lying about the time frame of me losing income do to Covid-19 and that my dog was neutered) I have proof that both these statements are bull face lies!! I’m not even asking for my money back from when you couldn’t do you job! I’m asking that you do the right thing and let me out of this contract with out your crazy fees!

I have had three pets signed up with Hannah for the past 2 or 3 years. Prior to Covid I would have given them 5 stars but over the past year customer service has declined drastically. I have friends and family that have had similar or worse experiences than me over the past year. I know that there had to be some changes due to Covid but I feel that there’s been a major dip in communication. Both myself and family members have had issues communicating about the care that our pets need or the care that they received. My biggest complaint is I can’t ever get ahold of someone to help with billing issues. My husband has left several voicemails for different issues and our calls are never answered or returned. I’m getting pretty frustrated. I’ve referred several friends and family members and I get embarrassed that I referred them and then they receive less than stellar customer service. Again, pre-Covid I had 0 complaints, but things have definitely changed.

This place has the worse service you can imagine. I mistakenly enrolled my dog at Hannah´s. I never get to talk to a vet, instead I talk to always very busy assistants who are in a rush, and rarely read the chart ot vet notes. They make up stories as why my dog couldnt been seen and why they forgot to call us to pick him up. They have recommended the wrong piece of recovery equipment for a surgery. Keep calling my male dog female. They keep running out of medication prescribed by their vet and forget to call when it finally comes in. To get an appointment takes over 10 days and they do frequently cancel last moment or take the dog in but is not seen, as mentioned earlier. I never get to see what happens inside, but my very friendly Golden retriever is afraid and refuse to go in. I made a huge mistake by enrolling my dog here. Be wise and do not make the same mistake. It is extremely expensive to get out of the contract
