Had a great time for my wifes birthday. Food was pretty good and the views were even better. It was fun to walk around the boat and hang out on the outside top deck and see all the lights after the sun goes down. Drinks were a little high priced for us but we still had a great evening. I would definitely recommend.

Had an unpleasant neighbor on the boat and relayed this information to a team member because it was my first experience but it was a memorable for not so good reasons.3 days later I received an unexpected phone call because I never left my information. They asked for me to come back with my family and enjoy a new experience.I was very thankful for the gesture.The food was OK! Pre cooked but flavorful and bottomless mimosas! Beautiful scenery!

My Mother suggested we try this lunch cruise! My daughter never been to west coast before! We had an amazing staff, talented pianist, fun waiter, the chicken was amazing, everyone was super friendly seem to love their job, which is becoming rare these days! Highlight was Captain Todd letting her take the helm for min and really drive the SPIRIT! She loved it they gave her a certificate too! A++++ highly recommend for ALL ages!

The boarding process when smoothly, we was greeted and seated in a timely manor, our picture, had others in the background, the food.. it made my stomach roll, it didnt agree with my system. My date steered the ship, great experience for her. Nothing exciting happened, but overall experience was okay. Pry wont do it again. The biggest disappointment was, it wasnt a paddle boat. I expected to board in cascades locks on a paddle boat. Maybe that was my fault.

I took my girlfriend on this cruise just a few days ago and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was kind and courteous, the entertainment was pleasant, and the food was delicious! I will be recommending this dinner cruise to anyone who will listen. My only suggestion is to put heaters on the top deck above the couches (she got really cold 😉). Other than that the time we spent was immaculate.

My mom and I had our Mother’s Day 2020 Portland Spirit cruise canceled last year and had to rebook. They offered a gift card with no expiration date, which we took.I have to mention that my mom is also handicapped with a power chair, and it was one of THE best experiences we’ve had with accommodations.. I mean, they went above and beyond to make me and my mom comfortable as possible. Thanks to the Portland Spirit crew, we absolutely loved it!

Cruise was amazing. Coming from b out of state, this was an excellent way to see the sights along the river. The crew was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Dinner was amazingly well done. Definitely recommend taking this cruise for anyone that would like a relaxing evening on the river

The ride was a beautiful one and the hospitality is always superb. Im not a fan of the seafood platter but its worth a try at least once if you like seafood.

This was an amazing experience from start to finish! It was our very first time and we will definitely do these again sometime. We had family from out of state visiting and they loved it. The service was great, including assisting one of our passengers who had limited mobility. All staff members were friendly and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. The food was good, the AC was a nice touch, the views were fun, it was an overall fantastic experience!

Nice boat, food was very good. The only problem was fruit flies were very bad that evening and made eating or drinking very difficult, only made it part way through entree before flies got to it. Server was apologetic. Still expensive few bites. Enjoyed piano throughout dinner.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing experience here on the evening dinner cruise of Portland. Our waitress Maddie was outstanding and super helpful with giving us ideas and suggestions on which drinks and dishes we wanted to try. The views from the front, back, and windows always had something to look at throughout the whole cruise. The food was good and the drinks were great, and strong! We will definitely be coming back to try the brunch cruise.

The cruise lasted from 7pm to 9:30pm. There was a live pianist, we got a window seat on the ground (idk if thats the right term) floor and the whole ride was beautiful. I would definitely recommend for a date, party, or business gathering!

We had ladies night on the Portland spirit roaring 20s theme. It was so much fun. The food was great. The staff was amazing ! The pictures came out great. The other guests was friendly. Would highly recommend. They have covid restrictions to do their best to keep everyone safe. I can respect that. The view is a plus. Great evening.

Atmosphere and views were good, food was tasty. Service sucked. Forgot our salads, everyone around us was done eating before we got our food (45 minutes later). If you could get a staff members attention, which was hard as they didnt make eye contact, then you might be lucky to get your request in 20 minutes, if they dont forget (had to make multiple requests for a beer and a coffee). Oh, the piano guy had some talent, broad range of music.

This experience was lovely. We had a late breakfast so did not have lunch, (I heard mixed reviews about the food and decided to eat elsewhere). I wanted to be on the top of the boat to see the sights and did not want to eat in the dining area for that very reason. It was relaxing and beautiful. We gave this 2-hour trip to my husband for his Fathers Day gift. It was so peaceful and lulling that he actually drifted off to sleep for a while. My daughter and I mostly stayed by the railing to see the scenery, the amazing homes along the shore and to feel the breeze coming off the water. It makes for part of a nice day

This is an absolute must if you’re visiting Portland or locals looking for a great anniversary or birthday dinner. Every time I’ve been has been a magical experience! The food is great, prompt, and the atmosphere is unmatched. (Pro tip, go up to the viewing deck while you’re waiting on desert)

It was my sons and daughter in-laws anniversary. Everything was very nice. Service was outstanding, food was good, and over-all a pleasurable time. One thing that I did not enjoy was the dirty and streaked windows. With the sun shining on them, all you could see was dirty water streak marks.It was a good trip.

Sunday Brunch is the best. The bottomless mimosas, piano player and leisurely jaunt on the river is just what you need to unwind and forget your troubles. Ive done this cruise 3 times and am ready for a 4th. Absolutely worth the 3 hr drive from my town to take THIS cruise

My husband loves bridges and I’m recovering from knee surgery so what better way to spend a few hours than on a boat where we could sit back and relax ?! We took the sightseeing tour on a Saturday. The drinks on board were good and so were the appetizer options. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the announcements.

Everything about our experience was great! It started off with a nice reminder text with the location and boarding time. I thought it was really helpful. After arriving I was pleased to see they had their own parking lot! very convenient for downtown Portland. The staff greeted us right away and we waited as they took everyones photo before boarding the boat. Multiple members of the staff greeted us and chatted on our way down to boarding. After entering we were seated at a nice window seat and our server came over immediately with a snack tray and took our drink order. She came back promptly with our mimosas and explained how the menu worked. As it is usually buffet style but due to covid it was platted. We were able to order as much as we wanted and could order just bacon or just crab as well (which I did many times) the presentation of all of the food was great and the flavors were all really good, anytime we wanted more of anything it was very fast to come out. Mindy our server was on top of making sure our drinks were never empty and did an amazing job of checking in often. The bartender also walked over to fill our drinks as well and chatted with us. I was pretty excited and full before the boat even departed! As we took off from the dock they announced that we need to go back to the dock to pick up two late passengers, which I thought was actually pretty nice of them to turn around and go get them. No one else seemed to care either. As we cruised towards the Sellwood area we decided to get up and go check out the different areas of the boat. We went up on the top deck where it was nice to hear they were talking about a few of the sights and where we were. They had some nice seating on the top deck and we were able to snag a seat on their sectionals. It was a lucky day for us and it didnt rain and it wasnt to windy. After coming down from the top deck they had a cute platter of desserts ready for us! I loved having a little sample of everything. Overall I had a great time! I cant wait to come back to do it again!! From the food, staff and experience everything really exceeded my expectations.

When we pointed out they never came back with an answer they got snotty with us.Other than that the cruise was lovely and air conditioned on a nice hot day in Portland.

Get ready to set sail on a magical adventure! The Portland Spirit knows how to treat their guests! Even through the pandemic their accommodations were on point. This tour took place along the river and even with the Oregon rain it was still so magical. They had amazing food, a beautiful atmosphere 😍 and wonderful live music 🎶. The enjoyment goes on and on. They had information not only throughout the cruise ship but also being spoken throughout the tour. There was even a gift shop on board to take home souveniers!! I give them 5 stars 🌟 hands down it was an amazing experience and I will definitely go again.

Overall, the cruise was a nice experience but the food definitely needs work. Came here for dinner and had high expectations especially for the price we payed. I was extremely disappointed with the soggy food and frozen cheesecake. Would not recommend!

Wonderful post COVID adventure for the family. The brunch food was delicious and the safety precautions were on point. We felt very safe and even on a rainy day it was lovely to spend two hours coasting the beautiful Willamette and catching up in person with those we haven’t seen enough of!

Beautiful views of the river banks as the ship leisurely cruises down (and up) the Willamette. The food is quite good and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Parking is so much easier now that the ship departs from a dock in SE and there is a huge parking lot. Great for celebrations of any sort, or just as a nice treat for yourself. Check Groupon for some very good deals before booking.

It was a beautiful view of area enjoyable ride, but the spirit can use some decorations inside and outside of the ship was to plain no color, no pictures, no flower or lights on the dining table there nothing to meaningful what to remember about the ship or romantic if people would use as their first date out it would be boring and the service and waitress uniforms can be suitable specially waitress uniforms. I understand it just a scenery cruise 🛳, but it can be a memorys moment for couple 💑 that want to spent a romatic day or night outing with their love 💘❤💕💖💙💗 ones

Great Easter family cruise. Staff and Captain were very friendly. Kids are allowed to stear the ship when accompanied by a parent. Excellent choice for adults and children. This run as it was on Easter was a family atmosphere and good time.

Great dinner, be sure to get the upgrade for the appetizers, the bread with the cheese is really good. The observation deck after dinner was amazing.

So I wrote a review about deceptive advertising. They took it down. Bought tickets for sternwheeler out of Cascade Locks. No mention when I bought the tickets that the sternwheeler wasnt running due to mechanical problems. Hed some other 3 level boat not near the expetience that it would have been on the sternwheeler. They should have told people about the problem at booking

Well what can I say I work here and I actually love my job we have 4 different dinner boats we are very reasonably priced I have worked here 6 years and I plan to retire here. We are family owned and operated and we offer a dining experience like no other. So come check us out and when you do tell them I sent you for the VIP tour.

Very over priced for what you receive. From others who have gone on the cruise to the reviews expect much much more. My husband and I booked the Cascade locks dinner cruise and wished we would have chosen a different cruise. The ship needs updating/ work along with an swift attitude adjustment for the staff. My husband and I are younger folks who worked hard to be able to enjoy fun outings such as this. We were absolutely uncomfortable from the moment we walked into the grill before even boarding the ship. The waitress didn’t seem thrilled to be aboard nor happy to answer any questions we had.The food was amazing tasting! The bread was delicious I will say BUT VERY SMALL PORTIONS FOR $150!! I understand we didn’t know what the heck the proper dinning edict is for a dinner cruise but when we were greeted and shown to our seats nothing was said and instead we were treated with snooty attitudes or two servers stood there wide eye staring at my husband instead. A simple “food is served roughly xx mins apart would have been really nice to know. We had gone to explore the upper decks and enjoy the views between the courses and each time we wondered back to the lower deck to find our food just sitting cold waiting for us. To summarize it up save your money and just do the site seeing tour instead (which runs at the same time.)

I booked a lunch cruise since our 10 anniversary was canceled due to covid last year. We invited my 9 yr old, since he had never been on a boat before. It was amazing. My son didnt so much care for the food, but over the bread. I was a great relaxing time.

My hubby and I have celebrated anniversaries & birthdays on the Portland spirit. They always make it a very awesome & special experience. The evening tour on the Spirit, going down and back up the Willamette, and going under all of our beautiful bridges, which youd never see otherwise. It is really magical, BUT esp in the evenings. (Bring your coats, even in the summer.) Its absolutely astounding. For one trip, we did the Columbia Gorge dinner on the steernwheeler, in its self is something else also. The views up and down each river, are well worth the money and the memories.They take pictures, at an additional cost you can get copies, of course. I think its kind of neat, its the little things. Personally. The food is always.. well everytime -weve- been, is extraordinary. Even the salad, seriously though!! Its top notch and well worth it. Every penny.Live amazing pianist & great staff (for most part, seems like some were bent out of shape for having to work Christmas eve, idk but I know our tip was worthwhile)

We were looking for a fancy take-out option and came across an ad for Portland Spirits New Years Eve dinner special. The price-point was just right for our budget for a special stay at home during Covid New Years celebration! We didnt have high expectations, but we were blown away with the quality of the food, the taste, even the take-out containers used! The food was scrumptious and was thoughtfully prepared and packaged. All I had to do was pop the tops and line up the containers in my oven when we were ready to dine. I am so happy we took a chance and went with Portland Spirit! I am anxiously awaiting an announcement for a Valentines Day take-out dinner! Cant hardly wait to see whats on the menu! Good job Portland Spirit!!! You are making celebrations special, easy and delicious! Thank you!! ❤

I came here last weekend to celebrate my dads 70th birthday with my immediate family and his siblings. We were really pleased to see how seriously the Portland Spirit was taking the covid guidelines, since most of our family members are over 70. Everybody raved about what a great time they had, and they were looking forward to taking another trip, this time we will probably check out the gorge location. I also want to mention that Our server, Luis, was very attentive and had a great sense of humor. All the other staff members were friendly and helpful, too. Looking forward to taking another trip soon!

But was an experience I loved it the food needed to be a little bit better but the view of the boats it was fantastic

My companies Christmas party was on the Sternwheel and it was amazing. The staff is fabulous. The food is on point. The atmosphere is great. I had a really good time. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
