I love barbershop and how ita a place for a guy like me to go, hang out, and get a nice haircut or clean up. I was actually going to a nearby coffeeshop when I passed by. I stepped in and asked if anyone had time for a quick line up. I had just gotten a haircut over a week ago and didnt need a full haircut. I wanted to experience this place. I dont really frou frou salons that are able to give me a quick trim. I like places that are able to give a good traditional haircuts but also able to be good on the razorblades and give fades. Mario took good care of me for $25. I would like to come back again someday and make a appointment for haircut. Great service, moderate price, somewhat difficult street parking.

Culture Barbershop is literally the best of the best. I have been son picky through the years of getting my hair cut. They have it down to a science. Jesus is the man and has taken care of me sense day one of being in Portland. I’m from New York originally where there are authentic barbershops and truth be told Jesus does it better. I am new into town . I am melinated and have kinky,curly type hair. I am partucular about the fade and tape line. After 40 years of hairs cuts you can feel the razor on your head and know that barber is a artist. I was pleasantly surprised by Louis performance. Perfectionism in the evenness of the fade,artist precision line with a straight edge razor. So now the fear of new barber shops are gone from this visit . I dare someone to try to cut my hair better than Jesus did today. Not only that, everyone in the shop was leaving with fresh cuts. These guys are like the 95-96 Chicago Bulls but with scissors and could honestly make MJ’s hair look good. Either come here or stay home and let your mom go in the cupboard to give you a bowl cut because that’s what every other barber will give you compared to here.

Jesus has been my barber for about 7 years. I’ve followed him through a couple of places because his thoughtful customer service, technique and vibe are where it’s at.He’s made each shop a special place with his presence so when he told me he was opening a new place, I wasn’t surprised his hard work and perseverance came through with a shop like Culture. He hand picks his people who work there and everyone puts in 100 to make the experience comfortable.If you’re looking for a consistent but also inventive and special barbershop, look no further than Culture.

Was wanting a fresh cut before going on vacation and this was the perfect spot. Relaxed atmosphere and a solid playlist! The cut was spot on. Definitely check this spot out!

Went in for a haircut and was able to easily book online. Mario, my barber, was super professional and listened to what I wanted and what my previous barbers did. He took his time and gave me a clean fade, looks great. Went to work and everyone commented on the fresh cut and the girls even wanted to touch the smooth sides. Not bad for $37 cut. Oh by the way he hooked me up with a discount for my first visit. Highly recommended!

3 Stars because overall the experience was fine, the Barber was friendly and the store was clean — however I’m mixed so I have hard hair to cut, still I was left with a good fade but the top was uneven and cut to far. Could’ve took a little more time, if you have very curly hair when it grows out, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED! i booked w/ jesus 2 weeks ago to get a fresh haircut before my trip to miami,and this guy cancelled on me the day of the haircut. I messaged him repeatedly asking for other options but he has left me high to dry. Not professional and not a good way to treat a first time customer who was excited to use you! Why would you not call and try to reschedule?? now im stuck right before my trip.....

New cozy barbershop in the Pearl right next to Field’s Park. Clean, welcoming, and solid location. The barbers there have perfected their craft. Except for Jake, he could use a little work.

Angel has been my barber now for a while now and always does a great job, asks what you want and tries his best to make it happen, cold fades. Jesus has been cutting my sons hair as well and is great at cutting kids hair as well and the shop is overall a welcoming environment. When in PDX make sure you hit up culture.

I havent been to barber in Portland since I moved, so having family tell me about culture and the good barbers I had to check it out. The shop is A one, customer service Awsome. It has officially become the shop to go to when I visit again.

The staff are perfectionists. Ive been a customer of theirs for years. They do subtle fade work and have a sense of style. You will be the best version of yourself when they are are finished. Seriously, do yourself a favor. Everyone likes to look good. The locations not bad either.

Its a very clean, well lit, well run place. I worked with Jesus and he understood exactly what I was asking for and was very personable. The haircut took 30 minutes and he made an amazing wave and fade in my hair. He explained about some products that I could use and I left very excited by my haircut. I have gotten lots of compliments by my friends. I will definitely go back for my next haircut.

Jesus has been cutting my hair for about 7 years now, and he always does an amazing job getting me exactly what Im looking for (even if Im not very good at describing what I want).The barbers here are always friendly and the atmosphere is low-key. Im never left waiting for more than 2-3 minutes to get my cut, so the whole experience is pretty quick and efficient. Also, theres always parking near the shop, which is pretty rare for a spot in the Pearl. Id highly recommend checking this place out for a haircut.

Several TVs with sports on.Very attentive and will listen to what hairstyle you’re going for and can adapt on the fly.These guys will take care of you!

Culture Barbershop definitely lives up to the hype! Jesus has been my barber for over a year now and I couldnt be happier. Hes friendly, knowledgeable, and one hell of a barber. Came in for a clean cut before a job interview and Andy Hak did not disappoint! The energy of the shop is great, and Andy, as well as the staff and other barbers were extremely professional.
