I’ve had Haendel and Spencer for several haircuts and they’ve both been great. Great conversation, attention to detail, and workmanship. Highly recommend.

Wiechman was absolutely fantastic. Haircut and beard trim came out styling and the atmosphere was equal parts fun, funny, and welcoming. This place will be my regular place to go for a cut and a trim from now on.

Crows Nest is head and shoulders above all other barbers Ive experienced. I went into the Portland location to get a cut recently and was blown away at the service and cut provided by Kettric. The vibe and styling in the shop was awesome too. Kettric took his time and made sure every detail was perfect. Its tough to find a good barber who you can trust to just make you look good without any guidance. I wont go anywhere else anymore. Thanks Kettric and Crows Nest!

I have been going here for almost 4 years now. 100% of the time I’ve been so happy with my #crispycut. I usually get a low bald fade and texture on top. Janae is so cool and everyone in there is super nice and funny. Hendel has also given me a trim and I was really impressed cause I caught him off guard Haha. Super professional, great atmosphere, good people. 10/10 would and HAVE recommended it to so many people-always when they say they like my haircut.

No show. They just didn’t show up at my appointment. So I waited around a half hour, a guy called said he’d be right there, then when he arrived he “had stuff in his hands” and couldn’t acknowledge me, which is fine, so when I walk in he goes, “Uh...you guys have an appointment?” (I had my son with me)...somehow, me waiting a half hour outside his shop and I’m the imposition on him. Who else is coming in your shop and waving you down when you head in? Yes. Yes, I had an appointment. You guys didn’t show up.

We were passing through Portland and I had heard great things about Crows Nest Barbershop. We visited on a Sunday and a few people were ahead of me and expected for a walk-in. Appointments are suggested on busy days of the week. Worth the wait, my fiance says best haircut I have ever had.. I agree with her! Excellent Cut/Style and I recommend to anyone!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Was visiting Portland from the UK and found this place through the excellent reviews online. Walked in for a beard trim without an appointment and they accommodated me straight away, gave me an awesome trim, some great chat and plenty of tips for the rest of my trip.Shame I dont live in Portland as this would be my go to barber from now on - cannot recommend highly enough!!

Just arrived from out of town for work! Was able to make an appointment on Sunday which was great! The barber shop was very nice and great atmosphere! Haircut was flawless! If your passing through I would highly recommend stopping in for a fresh fade!

No lie, I was scared getting my first cut because I had never gotten a bald taper from a girl before (no offense). But after getting the cut I knew right away she was a pro, A+ on this one. It’s hard to find a good barber in Portland, let alone at a good location. But this was a sick find for sure. I’d highly recommend this place. Frank and all of the workers are dope. Worth the money too.

I highly recommend the Crows Nest Barbershop. Ive lived in Maine for nearly 20 years now and finally have a shop that I can go to. Being African American, Ive had difficulty finding barbers in the state as they have little to no experience cutting ethnic hair nor are they familiar with the kind of hairstyles I desire. This was the case until I found Frank, I told him exactly what I wanted and he knew precisely what I was talking about. My fade and line up were sharp and crisp. Prior to going to Crows Nest, every few months I would travel 10 hours to my hometown to get a decent haircut. Frank, you have a customer for life!

We were visiting Portland for the day and decided on a whim to try to get our one year old son his first haircut. We walked into the Crow’s Nest, saw how busy it was and realized it probably wasn’t going to happen. But the owner, Frank, took us right away and within 8 minutes gave our boy (who refused to cooperate and cried the whole time) the freshest ‘do. I wish we lived here so I could bring him regularly. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Eh.... what can I say. The place was ok. Kinda a tourist trap right in the Old Port. Price wise its almost as much as Roosters in Boston but only half as good. They were really busy when I got there. Im assuming thats the reason the barber used an electric razor on my neck to shave me after a beard trim instead of a straight razor. I also got a head shave (using a straight edge) but it was done poorly.... with lots of stubble. Just very disappointed overall.

Stopped by on our way through town and received the best fade I’ve had, Janae perfected every detail. The barbers here are experts with a lot of experience, I highly recommend this place!

While visiting Portland I was in desperate need of a haircut. I ended up going to one of the highly rated locations on Yelp. It was an okay cut, but it seems I ended up paying more for the gimmicks of the location. They didnt have a pomade I needed so while walking around my wife and I happened to walk into Crows Nest....Wow! I really wish I would have came here first. The owner offered me a free cleanup. He didnt talk bad about the other location but said he felt my cut could look a bit better. He was right. He was meticulous and had his guy finish off my cut in a way that looked much better for my hair type. The next time I visit Portland, Im going to make sure I need a haircut and visit Crows Nest.
