We lived there for one year and we were having great time in this neighborhood. Reasonable rent, also reasonable charged for the cleaning fee.The maintenance and the management are great people and they do have quick responses for every concern you may have.Occasionally they will host events and invite some food cart around which is great to try some new food just walk down to office. The only thing I can complain is lack of parking space. We have two cars in the house which is fine since we have have the garage. The neighborhood is so nice, there are several beautiful park around there and the grocery store are nearby.Definitely recommend this apartment and thank you guys. We were having a great time living there.πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°

Ive lived here for a little over 5 months. Ive mostly had good experiences. The maintenance team has been great usually and even replaced my whole kitchen faucet recently, which i wasnt expecting -- I figured theyd deal with the small leak by patching it up and calling it a day. Thanks Joe and Jim!There are a couple of reasons for the missing star. One is that, while theyve generously replaced some items for new ones, others that require replacing (like older appliances that are not properly functioning) have not been replaced and theyve sort of shrugged off the fact that they are not working well (specifically the range fan and the dish washer). The other reason is that in my specific experience, management has not been personable whatsoever. Ive never met anyone here in person.I moved during a weird time and had to accept and place a deposit on an apartment Id never even seen in person. Thats somewhat understandable (although during my apartment hunting many complexes at the time were doing self tours which is a lot more reasonable), but youd think they would have taken the time to later do a social-distance-safe visit just to check in how things were going, especially since there were many small aspects I had to report at move-in. Unfortunately, I did not even receive a follow up email post-move in to see ho everything worked out. Maybe they are just too busy, but I just thought that was very odd.The apartment is spacious and the neighborhood is nice and mostly very quiet. I pay quite a bit of money (more than the listed price since the included bills are bit high) so I would have expected an above-average experience. So far its just been average but I like our place.

House rent is way too costlier than other apartments in the neighborhood.

In 2 words: stay away. Our 1 year at SOFI Cedar Mill has been nothing short of a huge disappointment and troubles, quite the opposite picture than what their lousy sales person had mentioned before we signed our lease. Let me explain a few of the issues we’ve had:1. Any questions we asked before signing (basic questions one would ask before signing a 14 months lease) were not clearly answered and when asking for clarity, the feedback was β€œthere’s a lot of people interested in the flat, if you do not sign, it’s ok” including a scene in front of another person that had just seen the apartment before we signed. Not speaking English very well (had just moved here from abroad) I was in shocked and felt discriminated. In other words, we got rushed to signed the lease and I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. (That person no longer works at SOFI, it seems)2. After signing the lease, that same person wouldn’t let us report anything wrong with the apartment in writing, saying things like (pointing at stains on the wall or carpet) β€œoh this is OK, no big deal, no need to report, the carpet is changed after you move out anyway”. Which turned out to be a critical mistake for us, and made us understand why they did this at move out. (See below)3. Our new house was finished ahead of schedule, so we had to move out 2 months before the end of the 14 months lease. On top of paying the 1.5 rent as a penalty (as expected per lease) here’s how the move out process went: they would not accept a move out inspection so we could make sure everything was left like when we moved in supposedly due to COVID-19 (even though their office was still open… sketchy) and provided with unclear move out instructions. We left the apartment in even better condition than it was found, but because we could not report little issues when moved in (#1 above). They came back with photos of things damaged for years, charged us with an enhanced carpet cleaning (even though it was supposed to be replaced as per #1) as well as apartment cleaning. After I showed photos I took after inspection, they back tracked and said the apartment was clean but the cleaning fee was a β€œsanitization fee” (not mentioned anywhere in the lease, or the Oregon law). When I read this I threatened to sue them in small court claims and they then back-tracked their offer to refund part of the cleaning fee.All of the other reviews mentioning noise issues (a real and painful issue there) as well as plenty of appliances issue, poorly repaired are all true. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this residence, any of SOFI’s residences or Cushman & Wakefield properties. I will now move forward with court and report them to the Better Business Bureau. Onward.

The maintenance crew is awful. My apartment did not have electricity working in a summer and they refused to show up in the evening because it was after 5 pm!! Read your lease carefully because they will verbally tell you things which are not true and not part of the lease. I wont trust the management at all.

The staff made it very easy to move into our new apartment and took safe measures to social distance / wear masks due to covid. This was very much appreciated after a sudden cross-country move from the east coast. Our moving container shipped and the packing company had some difficulties with dropping off the pod for us. The maintenance technician, Joe, saved the day. He stepped up and not only helped us with finding a spot for our container close to our apartment, he also stood by to make sure everything went smoothly. Thank you, Joe!Very happy with our choice to move here!

We have lived at Sofi for the last 3 years and recently moved to a bigger apartment in this same community. Although we had no specific complaints with the earlier sofi team - the current one led by Kaydi and supported by Ashley and Maria is just excellent. They go out of their way to help and made the move to our new apartment easy for us. Plus Kaydi did not rush us for a decision at the end of our lease and gave us enough time to renew. Also both Ashley and Maria have always been responsive to any of our concerns and the maintenance team is prompt and efficient. Kudos to the team at Sofi! We hope our stay here will continue to be as pleasant as the last few years. The only downside is the community does not have amenities like a pool, clubhouse or gym but it is well connected and close to downtown and the apartments are spacious and well maintained with the timberland park just next to it.

This apartment complex has been home to me for nearly 3 years now. Sofi at Cedar Mill staff have the upmost professionalism, and they provide the most welcoming feeling once you walk in through the front office doors. Maintenance is on point, and very timely in case of any issues. Very quiet neighborhood, beautiful & safe estate, and highly recommend for any family needing a place to reside with comfort.

We’ve only been living here for only 2 days and we love it! We’ve actually been scouting and waiting to move into here for a few months and let me tell you the staff here is amazing!First off I would love to start with the team/management here at SoFi Cedar Mill. Maria the leasing consultant had initially showed us around the property and the unit we were interested in months prior. She has a great and positive energy which had put a smile on our face already! Kaydi (property manager) and Ashley (assistant property manager) do a great place managing this place! They are so quick with replies/requests and pay attention to great detail. And that was very important to us because we believe communication between the tenants and management is key. They made our transfer/move from our old place to here so much easier and smoother. It’s a small team here at SoFi but they work as if it’s a team of 10. I am so confident in this place and I feel so reassured and safe here with how organized they are! Our last place was terrible with organization and would always lose our paperwork! As for the property itself, it is gorgeous! The maintenance and landscaping is so well kept here! The grass is always cut and everything is so clean and inviting! There’s trails and beautiful walkways throughout the property. The unit we have is Bayberry floorplan and it is pretty big! We get our own garage and a huge deck/patio. Our neighbors are so friendly and clean! Trash and recycling is literally a 50 ft walk instead of half a mile away from our unit like our old place. All of the buildings are so lit and bright, definitely feel safe at night here.I guess I would have to say the two main reasons why we love this place is because of the unit’s floor plan and the great team here at SoFi.

I am probably one of, if not the longest staying resident at this complex. I moved in two days after my building was done.I have seen the changes, and I will reaffirm that the current staff is beyond excellent in what they do and their day to day operations. I have only had one maintenance request in the 8+ years I have been there and it was handled promptly and to a five star degree. Before Sofi management group took over, there were certainly problems. There was a time where I lost my job and asked the front office if I could get an extra two weeks. The lady at the front desk said yes and then two weeks later I had an eviction notice, that while re mediated, still cost me an arm and a leg to take care of. Again, not the current management staff. I only bring this up to give a side by side comparison of how bad it was compared to now.Another time, during the switch over to sofi, I had a rent check that was lost but I was able to show that it was not on me and everything was taken care of immediately. So all in all definitely a 4.5 place to live based on 1.) The staff, and 2.) Safety and security. Also, while I am bad with names, one of the newer ladies (Maria?) is amazing. the most friendly, professional and up beat person I have met (and I am not a young man) .. you wont have a package sit for more than an hour without a phone call and she is always a great person to interact with.I would be remiss to not mention a few things however that do take some getting used to.1.) Somewhere in the apartment complex is a little dog who barks non stop from about 11pm to at least 5am. Impossible to sleep with window cracked. I dont know how this persons neighbors can deal with it ... This same dog has been at the complex for a few years now.2.) During the spring and especially the summer, groups of people walk through the apartment complex after 10am (very much a park like setting) without any regard to those of us that have to get up before the sun. Probably not a fair thing to mention in a specific apartments review since that probably happens in many complexes, but still should be known for any potential renters.3.) There are zero amenities. No gym. No pool. No community center and while I did know that moving in, my rent was also significantly lower.Regardless, I love this place and I hope to be here for the foreseeable future!

Dont get a bottom floor apartment. You can hear all the water flow in the piping in the walls and its loud. The washer and dryer is right next to the bedroom, and you can hear everyone use their washer. It all runs down my bedroom wall. Tenants arent supposed to do laundry after 8pm, but no one seems to follow that rule. Sewage is expensive too - Im single and its a flat fee of $50/mo. Im working most of the time and have never been charged that much at my previous apt homes. Theylease rep never mentioned that rate before I signed the lease either.

I moved out of Sofi on July 2018. After moving out, I got a letter from Sofi saying I need to pay $200 by August 19.So I paid the full amount on August 3. However, it was not reflected on their system and my bill was forwarded to the collection agency (got to know it recently by the mail sent from the collection agency). So I sent 5 emails to Sofi during last two weeks but didnt get any reply. Today I called the leasing office several times, but no one got my call. Very very frustrating experience and ABSOLUTELY do not recommend Sofi.------------------------Update: finally got a reply from Sofi and they are working on it. So I changed my rating from 1 to 2.

Lived here for five years. When we moved in it was great, but it was a company called Timberidge. The complex changed hands a few times over those years. Sofi is by far the worst of the ownership groups. They are unde staffed in the office and maintenance crews. They never once fixed our unit, I mostly took care of maintenance. When we moved out, it took them 30 days to give us our final bill and when they did they tried to charge us interest on the 30 days.Location is great, but the Sofi team really ruined what was a so so apartment complex.

The apartments themselves are really nice and new. Heating wasnt great but we had a real nice time however their entire process for moving out was extremely unprofessional. I was charged an outrageous moveout fee of $955 and had no reason for carpet replacement. Their logic was that since i am Asian there was a strong smell of curry in the house. I know for a fact that we didnt even cook in the house for the last month since our leases overlapped. That was a dangerous allegation to make since they had no proof whatsoever. They charged us for painting the walls when we had done them already and their painting bill was 200 though they charged us 300 and refused to calculate a revised new amount based on the actual bill after we insisted on looking at everything. They had no real proof for a reason for carpet replacement and honestly, they are not allowed to charge us for normal maintenance(the carpet has no stains and no visible damage and the floors in the kitchen are not carpeted). And they showed us the lint from the drier and painting over the heaters (which was there the day we moved in) as reasons for our bill and even challenged us to go to court. I was thoroughly disappointed with the whole experience with the wall painting and the carpet issue and the random charges since all the bills they show you are for a bulk set of apartment cleaning and painting and they do not have anything specific for yours with any sort of professional evaluation or reason to do it. I only chose this place because i had heard the same about the neighbouring apartment but its all the same. The manager was trying to shoo us away giving us her card as there were people touring the complex. No fake reviews will cushion this one. I am willing to pay for any justifiable charge like the cleaning fee for the kitchen they charged us but this was clearly baseless. Move in at your own risk and take pictures of every single nook and corner and submit it back and make sure you ask for paint, repaint the apartment and make them inspect it. They will tell you its inconvenient to do an individual move out inspection and its totally cool to do it in bulk but if you insist, some of these things could be avoided.
