Have lived here for a few years now and it’s been great lately! Maintenance had been quick to respond to any problems that may arise. There’s a new office team now and they are very helpful and friendly. Love the new resident activities and movie rentals too!

My cars an others cars have been broken into an my disabled sons been beaten up an had his toys stolen an management wont do anything to change it. Even though theft is an eviction. But its not the manager its their management not letting them help the community. An it mold every winter no matter what you do. But its a beautiful place with some great people that look out for each other.

In general I have enjoyed living at CW. I was irritated a few years ago by many patios overflowing which boxes, furniture, and junk. that has substantially resolved. Im grateful my rent has not been increased as it allows me to be able to stay here. I very much enjoy the landscaping and love my view of the grassy dog area. There have been times when residents were loud or shouting but they appear to have all moved out. I have always had quick responses to any maintenance requests. I do have ongoing issues with the chronic dampness and presence of spiders. I do the best i can with both issues as i dont see a fix for them. im happy here and would hate to have to move.

Though the apartments themselves are old, they can be made into comfortable, homey spaces. The office staff can sometimes be difficult to reach, but are dependable in an emergency and have always been kind and helpful. The complex is very conveniently located, too.

Total bait and switch. Ad listed one apartment at low price, we get there to fill out application and receive a tour and they say that apartment had an application go through. BUT they do have one for nearly $100 more about month. They said the deposit would be $99. Their website lists the deposit as $400. With 1 months rent. We pay the $80 application fee and are approved. Then they say the total cost is $1000 deposit and 1 month rent. Forget this!

The rent price is reasonable compare to others apartment in the area, but the room and appliances are really old. During winter time, you can feel the wind blowing into your room. They will tell you the deposit will be 50% of your monthly rent, however, when i showed up, they wont give you the key unless you put down the whole month check for deposit. I lived there for almost 3 years, things started to change as it look more trashy, but overall the community was great.

This place was one nightmare after another. halfway thru the year, our downstairs residents left and they started cleaning and spraying. at that point, i started to get bed bugs crawling up all my walls. they came out of little holes from the where floor meets the wall. and when we complained, they hired pest control at our expense. they covered the mattresses and sprayed everything but of course the bugs kept coming back.from that point, i had to give up the bedroom, and sleep in the living area with lights on to prevent them from crawling all over me. I tired numerous sprays, i took everything apart in my room, threw away my bed, washed all my clothes, emptied the room and still they kept coming.anyways, aside from that the area is not the safest. there was a hit n run inside the complex one time, and cops were always coming and going. cant throw away anything personal in the garbage since the homeless are always digging threw it. one time a homeless person set up camp right in front of our door in the winter. and it was on the third floor!! again, had to call the cops to remove him.last issue happened when we were leaving. we informed the manager couple months in advance, however, the company replaced him and when we were ready to leave the new manager claimed we had never informed them regarding leaving. and so we were charged an extra months rent for this hell of a place. i couldnt stand the conditions so we left and paid rent on two places for that month.if you care for your SAFETY, your SLEEP, your PEACE, your HEALTH, and your MONEY, i encourage you to avoid this place at all costs.

Look elsewhere, these apartments are so poorly managed its sad. Never answers the phone/returns calls. There is always either no one at the front office or some one that has no idea what they are doing. The landscapers do a terrible job, people let their dogs poop everywhere. Take your money to people that at least pretend to care because these people really dont care and it shows.

My wife and I have lived here since 2008. We love the grounds and all the trees. We have a son who is able to utilize the playground and being able to check out a movie from the office is always a special treat. Keep up the great work Cornell Woods!I have read some of the reviews and would like to respond however, as a long-term resident I have witnessed more then most. The management has always practiced transparency and been quick to take care of any issues whithin our apartment. While I notice many complaints regarding vagrants and unwanted characters I aslo see those same individuals placing blame on the management and complex. It is not their responsibility to police the area. There is a Neighborhood Watch sign posted when you enter the community. Please know that no matter what, it is the people here at Cornell Woods who make the community and whithout you speaking up and out to the proper authorities no blame can be placed on anyone but yourselves. So the next time you feel unsafe then please call Cornell Security or your local non-emergency number and dont run off and complain about nobody doing anything about the problem.

Ive been a resident at Cornell Woods for only a month, but my experience so far has been beyond my expectations. David and Diana have both been prompt and caring with any question or concern Ive had. They want you to feel at home, and will go above and beyond to do so! Ive had two small maintenance requests so far, and only 5-10 minutes after submitting my request, the maintence man (I dont recall his name) was at my door to fix it. I was so thankful for this fast and friendly service! The apartment itself is a bit outdated, but clean. The neighbors have all been respectful and friendly. My only complaint is that the walls are not very soundproof, I can hear my neighbors conversations at times. But its what I was expecting for an older building.I will continue to update my review as time goes on, but so far I am happy to call Cornell Woods my home!Update: 5 months later and I am still very happy with Cornell Woods. The new leasing office staff are very friendly and helpful. Maintence has been great. No complaints!

They will up your rent at the end of every lease agreement. We started out at $760 a month and within two years they are asking for $980 a month. On top of that out pet rent went from $15 a month to $25 a month. They do not care about you as a person.

This place use to be decent. Had effective management and maintenance, plus the community was decent. As for now, if you enjoy living next to a bunch of meth junkies you’ll fit right in. They are in the garages day and night doing god knows what and fixing vehicles like a shop which is against the tenant/landlord policies. If anything is said to them they will follow people to their residence threatening them? Management had been notified NUMEROUS times, same as corporate and nothing is done. Security and police have been called many times. And the topping on the cake is half of these groups aren’t on any lease agreement yet are allowed to stay. Great accountability as always CTL management. I will not be renewing my lease due to safety issues...apparently CTL is more concerned with money and it shows

Its a horrible place! Theyre complete liars and will try to rob you. The maintenance was horrible and they have no idea how to run the place. Theyll try to charge you more. Dont even check the place out, it will be a complete waste of your time. The inside of the apartments are outdated and you will struggle with controlling the mold. We had to throw away alot of furniture that was ruined by the mold problem.
