Amy is the absolute best! I came in for a last minute appointment and she stayed much longer after hours to get me prepared for an upcoming wedding. She always takes her time and I’ve never been disappointed with her work. Only thing I can complain about is that they should find a new receptionist..she is NOT very pleasant and she’s the first person you see when you walk in..at the very least give a smile and pretend you enjoy your job. All other staff has been extremely helpful!

You’re told to wash hands as soon as you get there! I felt very comfortable especially with covid which is very important to me! I never feel rushed. I never feel influenced to get something I don’t want. My nails are exceptional. I do spend a little more coming here but I feel like it’s worth it to not leave unhappy & for a pleasant clean pampered vibe😍🤗 Ask for Amy!

Ive been going here for a year now and today was not a very pleasant experience. The young man who did my nails didnt even speak to me he talked with the other technician next to him in their language and talked on his phone which I find very rude. When he started to paint my nails I told him it wasnt the same color as my toes he said it was that the girl that did my pedicure said it was, its not!!!! I visited your shop last year when I was on vacation and when I returned home I told everyone about your shop how beautiful it is and how polite everyone was, but after today I cant say that anymore. What I experienced today was what I dealt with where I use to live and I changed nail salons all the time. There should be a no cell phone policy when you have a customer at your station and dont speak another language while you have a customer it makes us feel like your talking about us and you dont appreciate our business. Im a very good tipper but someone else will be getting my money from now on.

My favorite nail salon in southwest Florida and I’ve been to a lot! The staff is amazing, it’s ridiculously clean and the free mimosas don’t hurt! I highly recommend 👍

Service is always wonderful, staff is friendly, and the quality of work is fantastic! They give complimentary drinks while you are getting services done. I had a glass of champagne with my pedicure. I asked for a flower design on my big toes and my nail tech hooked me up with a super cute flower on each big toe. I will be going back soon for acrylic nails, no one else does them as well as Essence.

Never going anywhere else. So worth it! I have tried so many places and nope.. anyone you get here is great at what they do. And if they cant .....someone who can will assist! Also had a Mimosa !!

My toe was cut during pedicure and nothing was ever said. She tried to hide it. The women who did my manicure was very rude. Instead of asking me to change hands she grunted and just pointed to dryer! She used way too much polish which made it gook up and then she kept blaming me for hitting the nails on dryer! The lady that did my daughter’s nails was very nice but really didn’t understand what was requested! When we went to pay, I have no idea how they came up with figure but $214.00 seems outrageous for two sets of nails and two pedicures ( lowest pedicure was asked for )! Will not be returning.

This was my first time here and I wasnt dissatisfied in the least bit. They were absolutely amazing. The place was very clean and everyone was very friendly. The prices are affordable and they do amazing work. I might have found my new place.

My appointment was at 12:00. I was still waiting at 12:55. I told them I was going next door to grab something to eat. I explained that I would be back in five minutes. When I got back, my nail tech had taken someone else. I spoke to the owner of the nail salon, Don, and there was no apology whatsoever. I have never waited that long at a nail salon. I had made my appointment over 2 weeks ago.

I asked for an acrylic full set - I received that but very poor quality. I just moved here from Sarasota and am used to quality service. The nails I received were WAY shorter than what I asked for and I left with acrylic on my skin. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. If I had more time I would have gone back in and asked for them to be removed. 0/10 recommend especially if you’re looking for service comparable to Tampa/Sarasota.

Today was my first time here. David did such an amazing job on my nails! Very gentle & a perfectionist. They got me right in and seated within 5 minutes of walking in the door. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

I don’t usually leave reviews nor do I complain about a slightly imperfect set of nails but I HAVE to. I made an appointment and still had to wait (20 minutes), I watched the receptionist serve almost everyone in the place a drink and not even offer me anything, I watched someone walk in with the same appointment time as me get seated before me, I got denied the simple design I requested (it’s a sheer pink to light purple ombré) and the shape of my nails are all kinds of random (I like a medium ballerina). I called to let them know I was dissatisfied with all of these things and emphasize I am one of the most easy going people so the experience had to be bad for me to even request a refund & the manager shrugged it off. I know that I’m not the sole source of income for this establishment but it took a lot for me to get to this point and it was almost laughable for him? I work hard for my money, I shouldn’t have to settle on one of the only forms of luxury I can provide myself nor should I be hustled for the repairs. The tech drilled one nail significantly shorter than the rest, so because I don’t want them all that short I now have to pay for you to fix something that should have been done right the first time? I’m just confused and frustrated that I even had to go through all of this.. horrible customer service. I won’t say the tech herself is horrible because she got it right ONCE, maybe she was having an off day today but I refuse to give any more of my money to a business that could care less about my satisfaction. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere!

I live in Sarasota but drove all the way to Port Charlotte because I knew Don can do the most amazing nail designs! It couldn’t be any more perfect!

I scheduled a mani-pedi fo noon, they did manicure first which started a bit late, no big deal. Finished it , was not offer hand lotion or hand massage that I get at most places. I was put in a pedicure chair & told some one would be with me shortly but after 15 minutes no one came. In that time no drink was offered. I left after paying for the manicure. Once home I noted I have hardened dipping powder on several fingers & cuticles are poorly trimmed because he used the rotor tool. I will not be going back.

Worst manicure I have ever gotten. No soak, no cuticle care, no lotion and horrible shaping. Dremeled the top of my nails.

We got there did not have an appointment and my friend and I wanted manis and pedis. We got the pedis together and got some nice nail art. I didn’t think my tech was done with me because I still had paint on both my legs and foot. My friend had started her mani and I was seated. They ended up moving me to the seat next to her because someone else was going to be using that station. Okay no problem. I assume this woman was a manager, older lady walking around barking orders. She beckoned for me to come and sit at a station and then told me I don’t need anything taken off so she made me sit down in the seat I was at before. No communication or anything. By the time someone even acknowledged that I wasn’t being helped, my friend was already almost done. I was not happy and the so called manager knew this and didn’t even try to speak to me or even apologize. I’ve heard good things about this place and I’m EXTREMELY disappointed in this experience. This visit was to treat my friend for her birthday. I’m happy she was able to get what she wanted at least. There was a very nice man who apologized to me at the very end. He was in between customers. I appreciate you!

I was so pleased with my experience! My nails came out absolutely stunning. Everything and more then what I could have asked for. Everyone was so sweet and kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommend! I also highly recommend Mia she is so sweet and did a phenomenal job again so knowledgeable and so helpful in making decisions on my nails. She has natural eye for detail an is incredibly artistic.

Such a great place! The employees are so friendly! $$$ing is great and the service is bomb! We had 8 girls there for a birthday party, all ages and they did a great job on all of us. They have TONS of chairs.

Been using David at Essence for 3 yrs now. He never disappoints. Have on occasion used other techs there and always happy when I leave. The salon is beautiful. The owners (Don & Vicki ) are very nice and accommodating and the pricing is comparable to other salons in the area. Very comfortable atmosphere, clean and sanitary.Highly recommend!!!

Honestly this place is entirely way too over priced!! I went in today to get a FILL. Paid $47.. for “nail art”. Which was literally one singular line down the middle of my nail?? I’ve never paid so much for something so basic and simple. The tips of my nails were not even painted, my nails aren’t even the same shape and size. No way I should’ve paid so much! Cant imagine how much they would charge for anything more.

I absolutely love essence! It is the only place I will go to get my nails done. They are so friendly and my nails look perfect every time I go there. Everything is an amazing quality for a good price!

Vicky charged my Daughter for a poor job and when they all started to break on day 1, she returned to have them fixed to get charged again (day 6). Owner does not replace polish so theres not many color choices.

Beautiful spa with tons of chairs for pedicures and nails. We walked in and were helped right away. A person in my party couldnt wear a mask so they put us in a back room that was more of a private area.

Love the work the nail techs do always looks so nice however they have lost my business due to the lady at the desk. Tried explaining an issue to her and the first thing thay came out of her mouth was “I don’t care” and continued to be rude and not listen to a thing I had to say. Unacceptable. Will never be back unless she’s gone.

My wife used to come to Hannah , she is so nice and does beautyful job, I don’t know why she left. The front desk lady was so rude , I never seen anyone evil like her. She told us Kerry will do better job, we tried her that’s such a bad experience ever, we were in and out less than an hours, Kerry did a terrible job on my wife nails , all of them fell in the next day and the messy color still on the cuticle. She did my wife pedicure in 15 minutes OMG..... I couldn’t believe I paid more than $100 for My wife service last only 1 day.Bad service and rude customer service, don’t waste your money in this place.

I posted on Facebook that I was looking for a new nail salon and I had multiple responses to go to Essence 2. So I called to make an appointment and I was placed with someone less experienced. I asked for something specific and he got close but the nails were wonky, very thick and all different lengths. I called back and told them I was unhappy and wanted them to take them off and refund my money, the lady on the phone insisted she wanted to make this right. She got me in that day with one of the best nail techs, Tony, and he took them off and gave me a brand new set. He even added some fun jewels at no additional cost. I was so pleased with their value in customer service. Thank you Essence 2 for making my experience something unforgettable. All my friends love my nails!

Front desk worker wrecks the experience every time I am in. I always come here and go to Christina who does amazing work, except 3 times now I have made an appointment and come on time and I have to wait 45 minutes because they took someone else when I had an appointment, the front desk lady does not care and Doesn’t try to find a solution. when I asked how long my wait would be she said she didn’t know. I asked her if she could go see so I knew if I should leave she sighed and started being very rude and even rolled her eyes. I love the place it is clean and my nails are always amazing but I’ve stopped coming here because the front lady is SO immature and rude.

Thank goodness I found this place! I was starting to think I couldnt get a good dip on my nails outside of TN! ....Vivian was awesome, and it seemed they had alot of regulars... Prices were reasonable ( less than what I pay in TN for the same services).

Was nice - I like a long leg rub - was just ok and a little pricey.

First time trying this place and the girl picked the wrong color. When I realized it was not the color I wanted she said it was too late and I could try that one next time. No apology or any kind of discount. The lady at the front desk didn’t care either. I work in retail and that level of service is unacceptable. The price was way too high to get that type of service. Very disappointed.

Nice pedicure/massage great. Problem was, Ethan, who painted my nails did a bad job. Had to repaint a nail. Instead of taking off the polish, he dabbed off parts of it and repolished. It left bumps. He was not knowledgeable about regular polish drying. He said 2 minutes, lol The woman beside him corrected him...said 15. None of my nails look great. He had to get me a different color for my toenails, after getting a few nails started and the polish being clumpy. Didnt have anymore of the the color I originally picked. I still gave him a 20% tip...he tried. I wont go back though.
