Great place to take my little dog, she had an ear infection and was not feeling well. Even though they were very busy, they took the time to speak with me, explain how to clean her ears, run tests to properly treat her, everything I could ask for in a vet. And I really appreciate them being able to fit me in on a busy Saturday morning. Highly recommend!!

Wait times wasn’t horrible especially for a walk in. The doctor and her assistant were super friendly and loving to my dog. You can tell they genuinely love animals and had my dog feeling better by the end of the day! The prices weren’t too bad either.

My dog was injured they were able to see him immediately showed concern and compassion. Took great care of him and healed him up good as new I will definitely return with all my pets

When the vets in Arcadia turned my sick dog away, Charlotte Animal Hospital didnt even hesitate to take my boy straight back. Even though I still lost my boy, they were so very kind and understanding.. I also received a Condolence card with all of their signatures and loving thoughts. I have taken several of my animals here now, and they are always cheerful very happy to help in any way they can to make your fur baby feel better. They always call or send a message after your visit to see how your animal is doing. I love that they do that, it lets you know they really do care. I wont take my animals anywhere else. I came in to get my 2 cats their leukemia vaccinations. The wait was pretty long, but I expected that. The receptionist even told me about about wait on the phone, which I found very considerate. They have a social distancing plan, the employees all wear masks and they encourage customers to wear masks as well. The employees were very respectful. They seemed to really love animals, which was reassuring. My cats threw a bit of a temper tantrum, but I was quite surprised with how effectively the vets took care of it. I also thought it was helpful that you are allowed allowed pay in the examination room instead of at the front desk. I would imagine it makes the process quicker. Overall, my experience at the Charlotte Animal Hospital was great. Thank you. 😊

The wait is ridiculously long! They need more Drs . Staff says its always this busy. The front desk girls arent as friendly as you would expect for an Animal hospital. The vet techs were really great! You can see they love animals. The prices are very high. You can always expect a couple hundred dollars bills. Give a year round resident a break.who bring multiple pets for shots and exams.Tooth cleanings ! They do have a reptile specialist and thats why I stay....

Doctor Dawson was very sensitive and honest. He in my opinion is awesome. He explained in Lehman terms exactly what our pet (Bella) was experiencing. Unfortunately he had to be the bearer of bad news. We appreciate the up front honestly and the way he delivered the news. Now we feel confident we will make the right decision at the right time to part from our most cherished family member. I highly recomend Charlotte Hospital. The entire staff were friendly.

This was our first time at Charlotte Animal Hospital and we were very impressed by the cleanliness, the professional staff and the caring that exists for both us and our pet. I am here from Texas visiting relatives. One of my fur babies got sick. I called FOUR local vets, all said too bad, were booked up. The last one was kind enough to say try Charlotte Animal Hospital. Susan, answered my call and was so sweet. Assured me some one would see my baby. We did have to wait (which was expected) but every person we encountered was sweet to the dog. The vet was kind and took time to explain what was wrong. And the price was so low I almost passed out compared to Texas vets. Great job to everyone there! Thankful to you guys! I took my older miniature Dachshund to the clinic for a couple health issues. The news was not good, but the staff went the extra mile to do all they could, made sure they took the time to do the correct tests, without doing anything unnecessary and they made sure she had the medication to make her as comfortable as possible. They are compassionate and professional and we are blessed they are here for us!!

No matter what pet I bring to the clinic there is always a veterinarian that can assist with their need. One stop shopping, sort of. I have always felt confident in the care given to my pet family. Everyone is friendly and willing to assist. They always answer my questions or find the answer.

We have seen three of the veterinarians at Charlotte Animal Hospital with our new puppy for health checks and vaccinations. All were very professional and attentive. The reception desk ladies and vet techs are also quite friendly and professional. My only grow is the ridiculous amounts of wait time to actually see the doctor. Appointments are typically two hours, with only about 5-10 minutes actually with the doctor. Please consider setting appointments.

This was our second visit to Charlotte Animal hospital in the last few days for my two Dogs annual checkup . We just moved to Florida full time, the staff got our records up to date and vaccines given . We have used the clinic over the past few years and are quite satisfied with the care our dogs have gotten. It is a walk in clinic no appointment needed so you need to be a little patient but worth the wait. Would recommend.

I took a very sick dog I rescued to the Hospital and they took care of her Immediately. After many tests they gave me a special diet and pills. Within 2days my puppy was active and alert. She is doing much better now Thank you Charlotte Animal Hospital.

Sharon and Amanda in the office were very pleasant and most helpful as we were new to the Charlotte Animal Hospital. Dr. Norris and her assistant were very patient with our cat, who becomes a tyrant every time he is in the Vet exam room. Dr. Norris was very thorough and most helpful with the dietary guidance for our 10-year old cat. Other Vets have just dumped our cat out of his carrier on to the exam table, Dr. Norris said that they have strict rules not to do that. The manner in which Dr. Norris and Amanda handled our tom cat kept him more calm than we had observed with any other vet.We would certainly recommend Charlotte Animal Hospital to those who are looking for quality care for their pets.

I started using this office during Covid and the fact that I didn’t have to make an appointment really fit my lifestyle because I work a lot and never know when I’m off. I’ve brought several dogs to them and always chose the first available Veterinarian and each visit was a different doctor and they are all great. Today I had Ken Dawson and he is so far my favorite vet there . He had great energy and seemed to take extra time and care when explaining things to me . All the techs are really great too but I’m terrible with names .All in all a great place to trust with your pets care .

We took our cat in on Saturday 7/24/21 and unfortunately they had 4 emergencies. We had to wait so long. I wish they would take appointments. We waited it out because we felt our cat needed to be seen that day, not wait til Monday. Otherwise, we feel that we always get top notch care for our pets from a highly knowledgable and caring staff. Perhaps they should do walk ins on certain days and appointments on others? I only did 4 stars because of no appointments available, walk in only.

OMG ! I cant remember the girls names. There were 2, the one that checked us in the room, such a sweetheart and I think one was named Natalie she assisted Dr Dawson with COCO .The staff we had the contact with were all excellent and so was the the Doctor. Did not rush, answered all questions and very professional. Even the check in while outside the young lady who took the call was very pleasant.Definitely a good staff.

Used to love these guys. When my cat was sick a few years back they took amazing care of her and were very compassionate and thorough with the treatment. But my dog and thinking he needed dental work because of the symptoms: Gradual decrease in appetite, drinking more, licking the lips etc. Dogs Record from several months prior documented Early stages of kidney failure. This time Doctor failed to Pick up on the fact that many of the signs of kidney failure mimic those of dental issues. Long story short after six extractions which I have no doubt were needed, dog still would not eat. Finally on the seventh day when I took him back for the second time they did a blood test and discovered his kidney functions were way off. Kept him for a couple days and provided fluids. Second day on fluids I was promised a call to discuss his progress and whether he was going to stay overnight again. Never received that call. The next morning found out that his kidney functions were worse than when he went in. Bottom line is we had to put dog to sleep. Can’t help but wonder if it would have played out ldifferently if the doctor had recognized the original symptoms as those of kidney failure and not of dental issues as This pet owner had assumed what is the problem

Can’t say enough good things about this animal hospital. They treated my puppy better than a lot of medical offices have treated me. The vet, the assistant and the front desk staff were all spectacular!

No appointments necessary, so I was able to pop in after work one day and get my kitty’s rabies vaccine updated. 20 minutes in and out. It’s not always that quick, understandably, but I love that I have the flexibility for easy stuff like that.

The wait was long ,but it was worth it! The vet was amazing and they handled my dog with great care and experience! He has fear biting and the exam was quick and jack never even tried to nip or bite . Fast and efficient! And he took the time to make sure I understood everything. Why this may have happened and what I should possibly expect in the future as far as him being prone to further problems .

I had to take my older Shih Tzu in because his eyes were all swollen and red. He just felt awful! I really thought they were going to tell me it was time to put him down, but instead they ran some eye test and gave me prescriptions and sent him home to rest! He was so much better the next day after taking the prescribed medication. I couldn’t believe the change in him. Thank you Dr. Dawson for being so awesome! I take all 3 of my dogs here and will not go anywhere else!

They call themselves “animal” hospital, but it should just be cat and dog hospital. Only one person in this place knows anything about rabbits, which they consider “exotic”… rabbits are literally EVERYWHERE and are a popular pet… so, that being said, why are they called an “animal” hospital when they only treat cats and dogs on a daily basis?

I brought my dog in as an Emergency, my pupHad been attacked by a large dog, that was on 4/13. They took care of my dog immediately & released him to my care that evening. Due to the type of injuries, the wounds needed to be keptOpen to drain, I have taken Indy back many times, she is still recovering, I appreciate thatDr Cronin has taken over as the lead vet.He is compassionate & has always takenExtra time to explain things & pit my mind at ease. I would recommend Charlotte Vet Hospital, they took good care of my pup!

They are NOT trying to get in your pockets. I have been so scared to taking my animals to the vet because I watch too many movies and they were just so nice and ACTUALLY listen to your concerns and treated my animals like they loved them. I have taken my puppy there for shots and neutering. The staff is very friendly and their response time when you call are quick. I believe that my puppy gets great care with everyone at Charlotte Animal Hospital. The one thing I wish they would change is have appointment times, maybe appointments in the morning and walk in during afternoon hours?? Either way I will always rely on Charlotte Animal Hospital for my puppies needs.

Despite strict Covid practices in place here, pets & their owners are treated extremely well! I have been very happy with Charlotte animal hospital! Each vet there that we have dealt with has been very professional and knowledgeable. Our favorite has been Dr. McDonough. He was able to accurately diagnose the hard to identify issue our dog was having. He personally called me both times and discussed what was going on and answered all of my questions. One of those calls was a Friday evening after hours! They have always been accommodating about getting our dogs in and send the reminders of shots and what we need to have done. The only drawback is they do not take appointments so sometimes it can be somewhat of a wait but they work as fast as they can to get to each patient. I would recommend them to anyone!

Charlotte Animal Hospital has always been very caring when I have a problem with my dog. My YorkiePoo had to have a tumor removed from her liver and they were all so professional and my dog is fine and it’s been 8 months since the surgery. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

Dr. Drake was fantastic with my son and me. We had many questions regarding our leopard gecko and he was patient and answered them all. At the end he was done and left and while we waited to check out we thought of 2 more questions. Instead of the tech relaying the message for us, Dr. Drake came back to the room.ALL of the front staff were amazing. I watched them clean and sanitize every surface area. I watched them interact with everyone that came in, and even through their masks you could see their smile. Thank you all!

I took my bernese mountain dog there because of a n infected hot spot on his head they were very professional they made my dog feel very comfortable and fixed him up in no time, they werent my primary vet because we just moved here but they are now I highly recommend them

Im a snowbird so finding a good clinic to care for my Corgi was a top priority. Charlotte Animal Hospital did an excellent job caring for her during a recent medical issue. They were very caring, communicated well and very professional. Id highly recommend this clinic.

I took my Shiba to see Dr. Drake yesterday to get an allergy shot and have her ears checked. She does not like going to the vet and does not cooperate very well. I always ask for Dr. Drake as he is so good with her. Yesterday his assistant was John who was excellent also. Both of them treated my dog with compassion and patience. I will always try to have them when I need to take her to be seen and would (and do) recommend Charlotte Animal Hospital to anyone who asks for a good place to take their animals .

The staff is great and the Doctors are the best.However, taking care of your pet is not what it once was. Demand for pet care is overwhelming the ability to provide care that pet owners need. Much time spent waiting. Also, cost has approached the cost of human care. All this has caused me to make the decision to never own another pet. Truly sad for me and needy pets.

Excellent response time on the first call I made. They were available same-day with the expected wait time. Very good process of having the parking lot spaces identified and the way they managed the queue of traffic.And of course, the time with the doctor and diagnosis and treatment were excellent. I also appreciate that there was not attempt to upsell more services as so often happens. We are fostering 2 cats in addition to the 2 we own. We will not hesitate to bring any or all of them in.

Im very pleased with their care they provided for my old feline (whitie). He was a stray cat for many years. I was finally able to bring him into my home, and the first place I took him too was Charlotte animal hospital to get all his shots and to learn about his health. I found out he was FIV positive* and was given extensive detail about what that was. Whitiey was recently very sick, and I took him a couple days ago to CAH to receive care. Its so helpful that they do walk-ins. The wait time wasnt long, and they immediately did his temperature. He was 103°, and they checked his blood and ran many tests. I found out his platelets are low. His red blood cells are clumping. His white blood cells are low. They gave him Prednisone & a antibiotic. And hes doing GREAT :) My only dissatisfaction was they told me that his annual checkup from 1 year ago stated that he was also positive for FelV leukemia. No one ever told me about that. And I feel thats super important, and Im just disappointed that Im just now hearing about this. I would have loved to treat him sooner. Im hoping its not too late. Other than that, theyre a wonderful vet/hospital. And Im very grateful for them.

We love Dr Norris so much. She is soo kind and very friendly and she takes the best care of our dogs. You can tell she loves her job and what she does. The staff at the front and on the phone are always very friendly as well and go above and beyond for our dogs also. They also send out emails after you’ve visited to make sure everything is going alright which is such a nice gesture when your pets aren’t feeling well. I trust them 100% and it takes a lot to earn my trust.

Great place 2 take my dog 4 quality health care!

We are non residents living here for 5 months out of the year in SW FL.. Our indoor cat was out for about 1/2 hour....came back in and noticed he was bleeding .Heard about this emergency hospital and brought my 6 year old cat in for deep wounds to base of tail from another animal . The vet tech took him in right away..Shaved around base of tail exposing deep wounds. Cleaned it up, flushed it out, gave antibiotic shot then sent us home with only instructions to keep indoors for at least 45 days. Cost over $300.00which is least of worries.It looked like to us that stitches were needed as was deep puncture wounds.A week later and to another vet today.... Via our granddaughters assistance.Surgery needed right away.. Keeping overnight for a recleaning, observation, pain medication and scheduled for tomorrow morning.Horrible infection set in and dead skin . May now loose his tail . The wounds continued to get worse each day .Tried calling back Charlotte Animal Hospital, but was given answering machine stating to leave reason for call ! This is suppose to be a hospital for animals...for emergency cases etc...with first come first serve basis.In addition to their procedures, Pain medication , drain line , and a cuff to keep him from licking wounds should have been given with detailed instructions on how to clean til healed , with checkup scheduled.I may loose my baby because of their neglected unprofessional manner.

They were very informative on their health issues and even responded to my call instantly with answers to my questions on their medication dosages.

I was down in visiting my mother when DOT changed laws on Service animals and they wouldnt let my dog fly because her vaccinations were due next week. They got us in, and helped us out so much. Took care of Ebony in their usual fantastic manner. He came home looking great after his ordeal (anesthesia chamber and being handled for his tests, etc). Being feral even though he lives in the house, he survived with his usual aplomb The other cats shadowed him most of the day, wondering why he smelled the way he did. Charlotte Animal Hospital is so great with my Dogs. They spend time with you and explain everything that is going on with your Pet. Great place that we have been going to since we moved here in 2017.

My first visit was about 3 weeks ago. I knew before I went in that they do not make appointments. I went early parked, called to let them know whatSpace I was in and it was a 2 hr wait not a problem. So now 3weeks later I bring the puppy back. There were about 4 cars in lot and by the Time they opened maybe 11 cars in the lot now. It took 25 calls before I was able to get someone to answer to let them know what parking space I was in.The receptionist was very kind and tried to explain and I wasn’t blaming her at all she was doing her job. My issue wasn’t in waiting but not being able to get thru on the phone. If this is what they want people to do is call I should not have had to call 25 times . There were a lot of wonderful reviews it’s just not for me so I will not be returning.
