I would recommend to anyone visiting Pittsburgh!! 🙌😁 We spent a week in Pittsburgh and I did quite a bit of research to find a best stuff to see in Pittsburgh… and this was one of the most exciting parts of the trip!! 😌 It’s a very complete tour of the city and it’s different monuments, sites to see, museums, and history!!Our tour guide was knowledgeable, funny, and interactive with us! And our bus driver was a good one ☝️ but also a safe one 😉Frank and Ken, our driver and our guide!!Fun. Memorable. Complete. 😇👏Also, please remember to stay seated on the bus and DO NOT try to touch the bridges as you drive under them 😬😏

Had a quick day trip to Pittsburgh and enjoyed this tour with my 5 and 7 year old kids. We loved the tour! It was a great way to see around the city without the hassle of driving around. We sat on top and had beautiful weather and really enjoyed the tour guide - lots of information and funny jokes. He was really good with the kids. My cousin, that lives in Pittsburgh joined us and even she learned some things. i highly recommend this as great way to enjoy a few hours and get to know the city.

This was an amazing tour! The first thing I notice was how clean the bud was. Immaculate! I have done tours all around the United States and this tour bus was by far the cleanest I have ever seen! All the seats where clean, the floors, even the sides of the walls where clean! Kimmy and Shannon, who where the guides where so knowledgeable and funny. The bus was always on time when picking up from each stop. The cost was great, we not only got a tour but could get on and off the bus to sight see in the process. Even got to meet the owner of the company who was professional and you could see the prideful he took in his company and the quality of his product. Awesome experience!

Great overview of the city of Pittsburgh. Bus was comfortable, Shannon, the guide, was knowledgeable and fun. Rich, the driver, handled the bus thru some pretty tight places easily and safely.The guide provided us with a great map of the city showing all 21 stops we would make. The map wasnt to scale, but it gives you a feel for the layout of the city.For a few dollars more, you can get a hop on and off option. This lets you get off at any of the stops, spend some time there, and get back on when the bus comes by again.On the top level of the bus, you could see much more of the sites. On the bottom level, it was air conditioned.,.. Well worth the price of admission on a hot and humid day.

Very enjoyable tour where we learned so much about the city! Ken and Jim were great, made us feel welcomed to Pittsburgh and kept us laughing. Sit up top for the best views! Highly recommend.

When checking in for the tour Sarah, an employee of The Pittsburgh Tour Company greeted us (me, wife & daughter) with a smile, prepared to answer any questions we had. Jim our Tour Guide and Richard, the Driver were stellar. Highly recommended this tour to obtain good insight of the layout of Pittsburgh along with hearing/understanding the history and current information about the City.

A little over an hour with a quick witted and punny tour guide made the morning very entertaining. Definitely a great way to start off the morning as a Pittsburgh visitor. Its hot up there on the upper level so be sure to bring something to keep you cool! Youll certainly know the city a lot better by the end of the tour and find some new food spots along the way!

Im local & have brought out-of-town guests on this tour more than once; every time we had an excellent tour guide and driver that made the trip fun, educational and memorable. You get better views on top of this double-decker bus than you can on a trolley or in your own car. Definitely worth the expense, so many great & convenient stops.

We did the hop-on-hop-off tour today. My husband and I have lived in the Burgh for several months and my parents are visiting from Chicago. We learned so much about our new home!!! Vince was very knowledgeable and entertaining and the driver pulled some impressive maneuvers in these narrow streets. We got off twice, once for the Duquesne incline and once to eatI would totally recommend this company to anyone visiting or even locals who want to familiarize with new neighborhoods or learn some fascinating history. Today is November 23 and we have a great experience with Buck and the driver (so sorry I didn’t get his name on here) They were fantastic!! We learned more about Pittsburgh from these fellas today than we could of imagined. It would have taken weeks for us to accomplish what they did! Trolley was super clean and they were on point! They were very friendly and VERY knowledgeable! We enjoyed the day very much with their guide! Thanks to you guys!

Took my second tour today to show my niece from OK some of the sights of Pittsburgh. Our guide, Vince, and driver, Rich, were both super friendly and informative. The tour was so much fun and Vince kept us laughing while learning about the city. We are planning on doing this again around Halloween. I highly recommend the tour to locals as well as visitors to the Pittsburgh area.

Vince was a great tour guide. I learned so much from him about Pittsburghs history and current culture. He taught us fun facts about the buildings and people of Pittsburgh. After the tour, I was sufficient enough to tour the city on my own terms.

Excellent customer service.We started the tour late in the day, but we bought the hop-on hop-off tickets. Kenny, the driver explained us there wouldnt be enough time to hop off anywhere, that we would be better off doing the whole tour instead. When I asked if we could get a refund for the difference between our tickets and the tour only tickets, he promptly texted his base and I got an email indicating a refund had been made within minutes.

This tour is exactly what people are looking for! Everyone was super friendly. It was easy to join the tour! The tour guides were very informative and gave us great suggestions for things to do. And not mention the tour itself covers every area you would want to see. I highly recommend this to anyone!

We called ahead and worked out a good pickup time due to the many events around town, which may have otherwise led to a hard time with syncing up with the bus. Once we set our pickup time and stop number we were all set and enjoyed the ride. We decided not to hop off, and so the tour lasted for approximately two hours to circle back. Thoroughly enjoyable and informative. Wear a hat and shades because the 2nd floor seats are exposed and it can get warm up there.

We just did this for a work event and it was AWESOME. Due to the forecasted rain, we went with 2 trolleys to hold 60 people rather than the double decker bus. Our tour guides were fun and this was a great way to learn more fun facts about the city. Even if youve lived here your whole life, there was still so much to learn. Vince and Mike were our drivers and Sara was our MC and she was THE BEST! She kept it interactive and fun!

Hop on hop off within the city. Costed around $35 per adult. Helped us see through the entire Pittsburgh downtown. The co ordinator did a great job of explaining.

We were lucky to catch the first ride of the season on the Double Decker Bus Tour. I have done many of these hop-on-hop-off tours in other cities (London, Paris, San Diego...) and Pittsburgh my new hometown, did not disappoint! The weather was fabulous so we rode up top and got a fabulous view and perfect picture opps of our beautiful skyline, the rivers and the quaint sections of town the tour covers (it doesnt miss any!) We learned quite a bit from our enthusiastic and cheerful tour guide, Abby. We hopped off in the North Side and resumed the tour hopping on downtown; so we missed the Strip District section, so we will have to take another ride for the whole enchilada. Definitely recommend for visitors or those who enjoy being a tourist in their own town!

If I could give this tour 6 stars I would. We had absolutely no problems with boarding, bus ride or anything else. The staff was professional and very helpful. I had no idea where to board or get off, with the schedule it was simple. We had 2 senior adults and 2 young children and couldnt be happier with the tour. I highly recomend this tour to anyone looking for something fun to do on the city. Very happy to have this service in Pittsburgh.

We live in Southside and had out of town guests. It was the perfect thing to do. Learned a lot and got off and on for a few sites. Easy way to see the city. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Fun and will do it again with other out of town guests. A++++

Dont buy hop on/off option...with the frequency (only two buses plying) and you can only do one trip in a day. Anyway I would propose looking at their map and drive/uber to those places of interest and if you are a family then in total you would pay much less

After 4 years of coming to Pittsburgh and taking the double deck bus tour every year I think this will be the last. Got off at a 2nd stop and was back in plenty of time but the bus never showed and we are stuck waiting for another hour. In the hopes the next bus actually shoews up.

Great way to see Pittsburgh without having to deal with traffic and parking!Great narration and corny jokes made this a very enjoyable ride.We took an Uber to dequesne upper station and then rode the incline down to the bottom to meet with the double decker bus, they took our Visa card no problem for the Hop onHop off tour.You can join the tour at any stop and pay for it on the bus.We got off the first time at Grandpa’s candy store, WOW! every candy known to man here!The dried plant/flower shop was beautiful, it smelled so nice inside, and the metal piece store was very cool!We got back on a the next bus and hopped off at the Point Park and went to the history museum (fantastic) and the huge fountain!We were getting hot and tired at this point ( it was in the very high 80’s and very humid!)So we called for an Uber and returned to our hotel. I wish we could have continued the tour but we will be back to finish it!Well worth the money, and the totally best way to see so much of Pittsburgh!

The tour guides information was great! The bus ride is dibilitating!! If you have the slightest anything you cannot stay on the bus!! The bus has no shock absorbers !! The ride was horrific..it was like being thrown around on the worse ride at an amatuer amusement park! I DO NOT RECOMMEND for seniors, children, people who get car sick or have any physical ailments!!

The first time I took this tour with my parents when they were in town visiting we had great time and learned a lot about the city. So when my fiance and I decided to have our wedding here in Pittsburgh, many of our out of town guests decided to make a mini weekend vacation out of it. None of them had been to the city before and I loved this tour so much the first time that we decided to take them on the tour on Saturday 11.14.15. There were 21 people waiting outside of the Omni William Penn hotel, but we never got on the tour bus.The online schedule states that as of November they have Just The Tour, which was fine, but no where does it state that the company only runs 1 not 2 buses. So we waited outside the Omni 20 min early so as to not miss the the 11:50 bus stop and nothing. We called after some time had passed and a lady with the company told us then that there was only one tour bus and the next one passes by at 1:08. Ok fine, we waited around for that bus, but it never came either.Again we called, same lady answered. I explained that we had spoken before and again explained we had 21 guests waiting to take the tour bus from the Omni at 1:08 as she stated in the previous conversation but we never saw it. Even the hotels valet and bell boys told us where to wait for the bus since it always passed by.She said we must have missed it because it did pass by but on the Grant Street side of the hotel like the website states. Mind you the website and the tour schedule state that the bus passes by on the William Penn Way side of the hotel, not Grand Street.According to her the bus was too far along to turn around for us, so the next time to catch it would only be if we got to the South Side Works by 2pm. By then it was already 1:40 and getting 21 people in multiple cars to the South Side would be cutting it close, so we asked if the bus would wait since they had cut off the last leg of the tour and this was our only chance. The reply was that it would only wait 5 minutes. After going back and forth with her and asking to speak to a manager or someone else she hung up on us. We were all quite disappointed and will not be going on any other tours with this company again.

I was going to check out a Pirates game and figured it would be a good time to take a tour of Pittsburgh.I learned about this company when I saw them advertised on Groupon. The staff were very nice, but the service itself was terrible. They decided that since there were not a lot of customers on the day I was there, they would cut the services early. Unfortunately, we were not made aware of this until we picked up the bus after our first stop on the tour. They were supposed to drive through three more times afterwards, but we were told that would no longer be the case.I would probably have argued with the staff, but since I used a Groupon, and saved money in comparison to a cab, I decided it wasnt worth it. If I would have paid full price for the service, I would have been a lot more angry about the situation. Just because a service does not get as many customers as it had hoped, it does not excuse them from terminating there service after payment has been made. I would never use this service again and would suggest that others seek a different tour service.
