We had a fantastic experience with them. We went on 4th of July weekend and everyone in the team were extremely helpful and co-operating in the whole process. We were traveling and reached late than our scheduled time, but Bike the Burgh Tours still made sure that our tour does not get cancelled or postponed. This amazing guy our guide, Kane in the picture took us to some fantastic spots which we as a first timer would have never be able to visit as a tourist. He explained the historical significance of some of the spots and was very detailed and cautious as we were navigating throughout the city. He took extreme diligence and care to make sure that all the people in the group are together and does not get lost while touring the city. Last but not the least our cycle experience was superb, comfortable and fun.

Our family came in from Southern California to drop our youngest daughter off at Pitt. H2P We booked a bike tour for all six of us. Had a great afternoon getting to see the sights and getting to know the history of Pittsburgh.Everyone in the office was super nice and inviting. Got us all hooked up with bikes right away and off we went. Kane was our guide who was awesome from the very start. Great fun attitude with tons of knowledge about the city. Saw a ton of things and got a great feel for the city.Bikes were great as well. Super easy to get around and cruise throughout the city. Pittsburgh is beautiful with so much to see. Cant wait to come back to visit. Thanks againBret F.

This is a bike rental and bike tour store. You can rent bikes for an affordable price (by the hour or by the day), or join one of their bike tours around the city (which inclues bikes and helmets). They offer bike tours practically everyday, even today on Memorial Day. My husband and I rented bikes today and rode around the rivers and bridges for 2 and 1/2 hours, and paid $35.31 for both of our bikes, helmets, and a bike lock. The lady at the store today was Val and she was amazing, she patiently explained how to rent the bikes, helped us pick the right bikes and helmets, and helped us adjust the seating on the bikes. The bikes were clean with a bag in the front to carry stuff and a water bottle holder, and Val gave us a bike lock to lock our bikes if we ever need to stop for awhile to eat or sighseeing.More people need to check out this place! Its on Penn Ave at the convention center, next to jimmy johns and across from the Westin. The bike lane is right in front of the place, so you can just head right out.

I went on the downtown tour a few weeks ago. Kane our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer almost all the questions we threw at him - it was also very clear that he was an avid learner and passionate about sharing knowledge. The tour was 3 hours but it felt like it passed very quickly because we were all having a great time. Definitely a well executed tour and well worth the time and money.

We did the Bikes and Brews tour with Christina and had an excellent time. I was as much looking forward to the history as the beers and Christina did not disappoint. The ride was excellent. A few hills, but nothing you couldnt handle with just a little grit. The breweries were excellent, and more than anything, we found a few places wed like to introduce to friends and family next time. The bikes were in great condition and drinking water was available at every spot. Would happily do this tour again and thoroughly recommend it to anyone whos visiting.

We enjoyed it so much, we came back the next day and rented them again. We would highly recommend renting Bike the Burgh bikes. We would give them a 10 out of 10.

I went on the Bike the Burgh tour last October (a little late writing this review hahaha) and had a really great experience. The rentals were very comfortable and Harry (our guide) took us around and explained everything really well. Before the tour begins Harry provided some information on how to be safe especially through the city, so if youre not an experienced rider thats not a problem at all. He was very engaging and had so much information to share. You get to see so much of Pittsburgh and learn about its history. I was glad to do a tour on the first few days itself as it helped me get familiar with the area. Its the best way to learn about a city and with Bike the Burgh Tours Im sure youll have a great experience too!

We dropped in on a whim and what a great find! We rented high quality bikes (adjusted to our height), picked up an excellent bike map of Pittsburgh, and received friendly service from Val... all for the same price as if we rented those heavy clunkers you see on the corners around downtown. This is definitely the best way to explore Pittsburgh.

They place is easy to reach, right on Penn Ave., at the Convention Center. On line reservations, no walk-ins. The price is reasonable, and they quickly corrected an error I had made with the reservation. The bicycles the had were not great (no quick release seat adjustment), but they were ok for 1-2 h rides. They have maps, locks and helmets available.

During COVID-19 you run out of things to do, but thankfully I was able to meet Val and Dave. These people are not only the most kind people I have met so far in Pittsburgh, but they go above and beyond to ensure you have the best biking experience. They give you a bike map, helmet, bike lock and youre ready to go! Ive been renting bikes from Bike the Burgh for a few months with no issues and totally worth the small price to cruise around the scenic parts of Pittsburgh.Go rent a bike today and I guarantee youll be back!

She offered lots helpful information about the city and really made us feel welcome.- The route is well thought out. My wife and I went on a Bike the Burgh through downtown this week. We had a great time! Both of us were not too familiar with downtown Pittsburgh--but felt this tour was a great way to get acquainted.Val is an exceptional tour guide and very Pittsburgh proud. Her enthusiasm for the city was catchy. She used the buildings and sights as a stepping stone to weave in layers of Pittsburghs story. It was very engaging and interactive. The biking was not strenuous or scary. (Were regular bike riders) The route and stops were well thought out.Great location for the start of the tour as it is right by the automated bike rentals, the bike rental shop we used, a large public parking garage and a T stop.If we get back to Pittsburgh well take another tour for sure.

We had fun conversations with her and she made our visit quite interesting. She is very enthusiastic and passionate about her work. She knew the minute historical details of all the places we visited and answered all the questions we had. We are glad that she was our tour guide. The bike seats werent the most comfortable but we stopped often enough that it wasnt too bad! Overall HIGHLY recommended!

Did a tour the Friday after Thanksgiving. Weather cooperates. David lead an almost private tour (given a last minute group cancellation it was just our group of two and Davids brother. It was an easy ride around a fascinating city, one that looks better, feels livlier, and is more bike friendly each time I come. The tour was a perfect mix of riding, stopping, chatting, and joking. There was even a friendly contest that I won (keep your eyes open for winged horses). A perfect way to see the Burgh, even for those, like me, that visit often.

Location/Facility: Bikes are brand new, helmets are adjustable to fit and water is provided upon your needs. Location of shop is underneath the Convention Center on Penn Ave. beside the bike path.Needs: Bring a pair of shades and dress appropriately for the weather. Be well rested, fed and ready to explore the city. The Ride: The city of Pittsburgh has come a long way to incorporate bikes into road traffic. You ride in a group at a leisurely pace through the city, using trails where applicable. You should be conscientious to your environment and prior experience of biking in a city is a plus but not a must. The Tour: Val/Dave were on point. Val led the tour and provided information that, being from the city, was completely new and was awesome to learn. She had a thorough knowledge of the neighborhoods, history, architecture, art, and future projects pending. She had a great balance of knowing how to provide information in a useful and fun way without having a dull moment.Overall: I highly recommend to anyone as the primary way to see the city. She incorporated all the key points to tie the city together with an identity that is what makes us so proud of our home. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! Keep up the good work Val and biketheburgh!

Ive been on two Bike The Burgh tours so far - Pittsburghs History (through Lawrenceville, the Strip, and Downton) and Prominent Pittsburghers - and they were both awesome! The tour is relaxed, you can ask questions, participate in the dialog and instead of being talked to, feel that you are part of a conversation. As a 20-year resident of this city, I learned something new on both tours. The biking portion is what gives the tour that special touch. Its so fun to pedal through a city and get a first-hand look at cool neighborhoods, cool architecture, and cool landmarks. Definitely put this on your To-Do list!
