Great gym but the staff that works here is rude as hell. I understand no one likes to deal with customers but you took this job as a customer service role. Jesus Christ.

Place is pretty good. They keep it clean. The temperature is a tad to cool for my liking.

Only 3 stairclimbers. They are not a more up to date model and the thing I dislike about them is that it doesnt have a good place to put the towel and the water bottle sits awkwardly. Gym is definitely more structured for weights than cardio. Stairclimbers are awkwardly placed in front of the bathroom and walkway.

I love Planet Fitness. At least I did when I belonged to the Penn Hills facility. I recently joined the Edgewood Planet Fitness and it’s been a bit of a disappointment. The air conditioning has been out for a week - a week with summer temps and high humidity. It’s brutally uncomfortable inside. There’s also a leak in the roof so they have buckets on the floor to catch the raindrops and yellow police tape cordoning off the machines that are all wet.Also, a week ago I complained in person and in an email that the TV sets are not on the correct channels. Workers told me only the manager can change the channels. I guess the manager didn’t look at my email. I know, that’s a minor thing, but it’s a sign that there’s little attention to detail here.I still love Planet Fitness. But this one needs some TLC.

I love Planet fitness and have been a member for 5 years. I joined at the club in Penn Hills which is my preference, but I do go to Edgewood planet fitness when Im taking care of business Im the area. However, I feel Penn Hills has the better equipment and service. They can get a little snippy in Edgewood.

The best deal on earth. 10 dollars a month for a gym membership at a gym with everything you need?? And all the equipment is nice and staff is helpful. Plus if you pay extra 10 u get access to trainers and tanning bed and more. I used to spend over 100 a month just in my wifes tanning. Now I pay 20 she has unlimited tanning and gym access.

I bought a membership when I was told it is a 24/7 gym. This is false they are open 23 hours Monday through Friday. And only 7-7 Saturday and Sunday. When I asked for a refund the general manager was extremely rude and even hung up on me! On top of that it is usually not very clean, I have been to other planet fitnesses that are much nicer, this one constantly smells and has dust and dirt throughout the entire gym.

I just relocated to Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and was a little hesitant to visit this location after reading some of the reviews. Needless to say I am glad I stoped by today!The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! This club is clean and everyone was wearing a mask😊 Not to mention the perfect temperature inside! I look forward to working out here! Please look past the negative reviews and give this club a try!

I used to go to LA Fitness and all their equipment is always broken and their AC never works. Planet Fitness at least prioritizes having functional equipment. I don’t know how much workers get paid, but I hope it’s at least $10 an hour or I will reduce my rating.

I have a Black Card I go to many different Planet Fitnesses this one is the worst. Usually you’re greeted, no big deal then when you leave someone usually says have a good one. This Planet Fitness no one utters a word, to busy on there tablets I guess! Place is usually out of paper towels and it’s not clean compared to the others. They have some rude people working there!

Excellent!! Bez more and different type of machines. Less fees !! Cleaned surfaces. I am really happy to do the exercise in Planet fitness.

Has a decent number of different machines, only 4 barbells and too many people that wanna use them, though.

I hope the management or owner puts up a collection bin on the front desks to take contributions to replace the defective paper towel dispensers that have worn out handle gears

I go planet fitness once or twice a week cause I’m not really losing any weight I’m just tighten up bones and my body. I’m very active when it comes to work out 💪🏽. When I try to be.

Clean very well kept club right near the heart of Pittsburgh. From a workouts standpoint it has everything you need

Cancelled around October 2020 and was told there should be no further billing. Later discovered this was untrue and was required to file disputes through my financial institution (luckily they returned favorably). However, this Planet Fitness location refuses to cease attempts and refuses to speak to anyone by phone. I’m currently in the process of contacting an attorney to hedge their blatant deceptive practices that are likely going unreported. Save yourself the headache (and record keeping leg work) and join LA Fitness in Monroeville, or another local fitness provider. I wholeheartedly would give this place zero stars if that were an option. I am also following up with consumer protection agencies in the hope that it will force a change in these shady practices, or some semblance in accountability/penalty.

Only missing barbell/cross-fit area to do some Olympic style lifting or bench press, plenty of space to cater to that as wellRest of the gym is clean and spacious

I lived in Swissvale for a while and then had moved and couldnt get back out there to cancel my membership due to how far it was and for other reasons. I tried more than a couple times to reason with the manager there to cancel my membership over the phone, he wouldnt even get on the phone with me when I called once. It wasnt suggested to me to write a letter until months later of them charging me for a membership I didnt use that I sent the letter. They then got the cancelation letter and STILL charged my card anyway. The way things are done at this PF is completley ignorant and wrong. I will be calling corporate about the way my membership experience was handled there.

Don’t go here. There are plenty of other gyms. Had my locked locker pried open and had myPants ripped through the crack till they could get my wallet out. If you look around the locker room you can see plenty of evidence of other lockers being pulled open or broken into. Shady gym.

Most people are actually wearing there masks if not the staff has come 8ver and told them they need to be.

The staff is kind and professional and the space is clean. They ensure members are wearing masks & wearing them properly (unlike the Natrona Heights location where so many members dont even have masks).Ive, in fact, decided to only go to the Edgewood location due to how well they are following guidelines.

The manager when asked why customers werent wearing masks in the gym as their sign on the front door communicated that you must, called the cops instead of actually addressing the question to remove said customer. I just cancelled my membership after witnessing this. Clearly since This manager thought it was appropriate to call the cops I decided that Id rather not have the cops called on me for such a simple matter and went to the north Versailles office where I could feel slightly safer in cancelling without thinking I would have to encounter a cop for a simple question. I will not be returning here and honestly since the management seems to not know how to answer questions you probably wont want to either.

I love this gym. They really are true to their mantra of a judgement free zone. The employees go out of their way and recognize me when I walk in as well. I also love the option to tan. Environment is very clean, spacious, and they have a great variety of equipment. The price is unbeatable as well. They also have pizza night I believe once a month? (Dont quote me on the frequency of it as Im not 100% positive).

Ever since this place has been opened, they have been very good at keeping the place clean and up to par to keep people safe! I am not a person to freak out over the covid situation, but for the people who are worried, this place is the place to go! People being cautious and staff being cautious as well and very clean 24/7!

Kind of ghetto at this location depending on the day/crowd. A bunch of older men yelling and talking loud but not working out, just walking around and hanging out at the front desk. First time I went it wasn’t super busy (still a good amount of people though) and it was just the regular chill gym atmosphere. Not terrible for $10 a month and there’s a nice selection of machines, the girls at the front desk are usually nice (notice I specified girls). If there’s gonna be a “lunk alarm” then people shouldn’t be allowed to be unnecessarily loud and obnoxious in the gym either.

Friendly staff. I wish they had pre-saturated wipes for cleaning equipment.

I’m not wasting my time on writing a description. They’ve already wasted my time and money. The worker have very poor communication skills and do not know how to keep customers. Ppl not wearing masks left and right. Just a really bad experience.

Great place to workout. The classes are fun, challenging, and will definitely leave you sweating. Everyone working here is awesome and very helpful! I definitely recommend!!

Overall dirty and crowded. Not my “home” PF, but I wanted to try this one out a few times while at college. Every other PF I’ve been too the staff is constantly vacuuming, wiping down machines, cleaning tanning beds, etc...I have never seen a staff member here do anything besides stand behind the desk. There’s always balls of hair and dirt stuck in the machines & tanning beds.

I really like this planet fitness. Usually always a good amount of people there but never too many where you cant get in a good workout. Staff is friendly and helpful. Place is always clean. Judgement free. Big fan of pizza Monday and bagel Tuesday!

Today i tried to call to ascertain information about canceling My membership at this location. Sha’ron(spelling?) answered the phone and was immediately dismissive of my questions. I tried to explain my fear of coming into the store because of COVID 19. He kept talking over me and wouldnt let me ask my questions. Told me to take it up with corporate. I asked to speak to his manager. He said he would be in “anytime after nine” since it was already after 9 i asked when i was supposed to talk to them. He told me i was “getting smart” and proceeded to hang up on me. When i called back he let it ring for several minutes before picking up. I tried again to ascertained the same information. He told me i was using “abusive” language and hes allowed to hang up on people If he thinks they are being that way. He was again combative and refused to answer my simple questions about what he was telling me.So, against my better judgement, i went into the physical location. And talked with Sha’ron directly. It was now 10 o’clock and still no management. When i gave him my key card he told me to throw it away myself, because of covid 19. He sarcastically said “your wearing your mask aint ya” so i replied that he wasnt wearing his properly with his nose and upperlip hanging out of the mask. He motioned to a small bit if plexiglass and “explained” to me that that small bit of plexi protects me somehow? After this he proceeds to tell me that he could have helped me cancel my membership if I had “gone about it the right way” i wonder what way that was? Was i supposed to beg? Was i supposed to be polite to this employee that was rude and dismissive from the get go? I never swore or called him names, all i did was ask him to clarify the vague information he was giving me. Worst customer service experience I can remember. I was planning on rejoining once the pandemic was under control, but now I will consider taking my business elsewhere. I plan on making a formal complaint against this employee. Hes on some power trip and is putting peoples lives at risk.

Great place to work out for a great price. Staff is friendly, even when cancelling memberships(stopped going and stopped kidding myself about going, NOT because of the business). Everything is clean, Lots of machines and classes available for members. Just remodeled so everything is new.

I just went there and was told there was a problem with my account. I drove over a half an hour to get there and had no idea there was an issue. I promised to fix it as soon as possible as it’s been a long day and I just wanted to get a nice workout in. I worked a 10 1/2 hour shift and just wanted to get a quick workout in around 10pm. She told me I could not workout because it’s a closed membership. I have been a loyal member for over a year and I was sent on my way with no help but a phone number on a sticky note. I just wish she could’ve been more empathetic about my situation.

Amazing place to workout, but the guy who works in the reception during the night hours is just too rude, somedays he just is on the phone yelling and takes the frustration on the customers. For no reason he says that the massage chair is out of service while there is someone using the massage chair. Management should keep good receptionist at the front desk not someone who is rude and acts according to his mood

Just started going here about a month ago and no complaints. Its a bit small and can get a little packed on busy days, but the location is convenient, the facility is clean and the staff is great! My girlfriend and I go there 3-4 times a week. $20/month, unlimited gym/tanning/massage chairs. Cant beat it.

I think it is important to add my brief experience here. My wife and I are moving very close to this gym, but havent moved completely yet. We were staying at our new house for about three nights before heading out again until May. We wanted to get a sample of what this gym was like and to see if wed like it - who knows - we might have liked it and thus purchased a membership when we come back in May. I was looking for decent exercise equipment and friendly staff. We asked how much it would be to exercise for about an hour to see if wed like it. They said it would be $20 each for my wife and I. $20! For an hour to exercise! For a membership they apparently charge $10 a month AND youre allowed to bring a guest for free. Since we dont know any current members and we were going to pay $40 to exercise we left. I would say $10 would be understandable, but $20 each and a rude attitude from the front counter folks? What a disappointment. This is a great way to make sure prospective gym members dont return.

A nice 24 hour gym that closes far more than you would expect. For example, they closed for Xmas Eve, and Xmas day. They took off two days for New Years.

Well stocked, clean facilities with no one bothering you. Its a really desirable gym in which to work out.

Ive been going for the last few months. I go pretty early (5AM), and the gym is not crowded and incredibly clean. The staff members are always nice, and I cannot say enough about the cleanliness - they mop the entire place multiple times per day.Plenty of machines, and space for mat workouts, but the free weights area is on the small side. Overall its a good fit for me - its cheap, clean, lots of equipment, and people keep to themselves (I prefer to be left alone)

I did call to talk to the manager. Left my name and number for them to call me at 830 am. The front desk said they would be in at 9. Its 7:00 i still have not received a call. I will be canceling this evening. BUYER BEWARE THIS FRANCHISE IS ANOTHER MONEY SUCKING GYM. YOU CANT EVEN GET A RESPONSE FROM THE GYM. I tried to call corporate they were no help. And a generic response from tbe owner...

I was in there on Saturday. As I came through the door I pulled the front door over my foot pulling my pinky toe out of my shoe, bending it backwards breaking it. K was at the desk and was the most helpful as also being professional at the same time. K had someone bring me a chair, and took all of my information down and got me an ice pack. K also got the manager on staff to fill out an accident report. I was treated so well and they kept me calm and made a potentially bad situation good. I love this place and will return soon.

I’ve talked to many people about the issue of the machines randomly shutting off during workouts. This has been over a year. They shut off, restart, and you can’t keep track of time or miles. Everyone I’ve talked to (customer-wise) shares the same issues on the ellipticals, and the staff seem to be aware every time I mention it.It’s super laid back in here and I like that, but apathy and “chill” are two different sentiments. Please start caring about our experience here. Being fit and active can be difficult enough, motivation-wise, please don’t make it more difficult.

Sign above cooler says 50% off drinks with a black membership. Reach into said cooler and grab a muscle milk. Go to check out, ask for the 50%. They said it doesnt qualify. Look at the sign, look at the associate... Apparently the sign is for *some* drinks in the cooler, though they dont specify which until you go to pay.

This is a large one story facility that is always clean. You never feel cramped in this location. Recently underwent a complete remodel with new everything ( including work-out machines). The locker rooms are large and have all new tile. Four shower stalls in the mens locker room. Stand-up as well as prone tanning booths. Hydro and regular massage chairs for black card members. Lots of TVs to view when doing cardio. Very non-threatening vibe. Busiest between 4 and 6 pm.

Its a great gym for beginners and pros I like to keep to myself or bring a friend along everyone minds their business so there never any drama they have relaxing spa with tanning, massage chairs, and red light bed for your skin

A home away from home... Dont stress eat stress work out.... Only thing they need to improve is how often the refill the wile stations

Not one of my favorite planet fitness locations. The male trainer was extremely rude when I asked him a question. He seemed like he was too good for that place. The location doesnt have a lot of the newer equipment that some of the other ones have (water rowers, bosu balls, stability balls). The showers were gross and had hair all over the drain. The staff was too busy talking to each other to help the members.Glad I was just passing through and this wasnt my base location.

Its an okay place if you are looking for a quick basic workout. There are less machines than other planet fitnesses and a lot seem to be out of order so you have to wait. No one seems to clean the machines either.

I have never been to a gym before. I got my workout from walking everywhere, back packing, landscaping. I got older, found vidya games...beer...I got soft. I enjoy the experience here so far.Trevis will work you. I signed up for an orientation to the gym and a stretch class. He walked me around and talked about the equipment and what it does during the orientation, which gave me a bit more confidence in just showing up.The stretch class was a different story! I expected simple stretches to loosen up before a workout, boy was I wrong. It started out simple, and turned into a workout before I realized what was happening. I had to leave because it was too much for me, I didnt hate it and it hasnt discouraged me from returning to this gym.Trevis recommended signing up for a ton of classes to help me meet the goals. I had listed them during orientation, and his recommendations were a bit intimidating to me as a newbie. They seem like great ideas, but I am just easing myself into this lifestyle. Maybe after some time exercising I can feel confident to take some classes.
