Kretzlers food is always excellent. The servers are friendly and aim to please. I usually get wing dings or the hot sandwiches. They sometimes run out of their wonderful potato pancakes. I dont worry about some of the patrons not wearing masks, because I always do, and practice social distancing. The prices are good, the food is wonderful!!!

I was recently here for a baby shower and it was very nice. And the room was very private. Ive been to kretzlers plenty times before and had no Idea the room was even there. Also the staff was nice and very attentive.

Held our reunion dinner in their banquet room. Very flexible in allowing us to decorate, set up A/V, take photos, etc. Food was GREAT. Staff was on top of presentation, service & bussing. We had a great time – consider having your event here.

Food was good as usual. Not enough staff. The waitress was going non-stop so no coffee refills, water and longer waits than before. Was just thankful they were open.

Mediocre at best. Salad made w/ iceberg lettuce, mostly the white stuff! Waitress was insolent! Burgers were good size but otherwise average. Our burgers came with cheese, which I did not ask for nor was I asked about; only to see when the bill came, that cheese is extra! Atmosphere is pleasant.

Great family style bar/restaurant. Portions are generous and the prices are low to mid. $27 for 2 entrees and an appetizer. Bonus points: the Sweet Habenero wings were perfectly cooked and the flavor was outstanding.

Friendly staff and very attentive. Lunch was great and served quickly. Will go back again.

Bad service. Waited almost 1/2 hour for food, which never came. Told us they only had 2 Cooks. Meanwhile one of them was screwing around drinking at the bar. After waiting 1/2 hour for food, the waitress asked if we still wanted our food. Worthless garbage of a restaurant!!!

Service was good. However for the second time i got less then a pound of wings when I paid for 2 lbs. They clearly arent weighing the food just guessing. Idk what happend this used to be my go to place. Something changed in the kitchen. They clearly dont care anymore

Our serves was trouble.Our waitress spent more time on her cell phone.than anythingCOULDNT GET HER ATTENTION. I ordered the fish sandwich with potatoe pancakes and mac and cheese. Never got potatoes pancakes asked for mqc and cheese.came in a gravey dish freezing cold.On Friday its always potatoes soup at 4pm they were out.used to love this place but it has totally fell apart.

Have always loved Kretzlers food - especially their fish and macaroni & cheese on Fridays. But surprised/dismayed to walk into the bar portion to pick up my takeout and see very few wearing masks or social distancing. I wish I had known. Might have skipped take out, or asked for curbside. Food great, though!

We will be there every Friday now that we know that they are standing up for themselves and restaurants as a whole. We both know that this is political. More need to take the stand that kretzlers have. Kudos!

Good fish, good coleslaw, good potatoe pancakes, good service, good prices.

Food was good. I had a 6oz. Strip Steak, baked potato and a house salad and freshly baked bread. Steak was very tender. The bread was amazing. My only complaint was the steak was kinda bland. No seasoning or else I would have gave 5 stars.

Stay away from the lenten fish fry. Ive been sitting here, waiting to pick up for over a half hour. Ordered an hour and a half ago. No clue when the foods coming. Its a joke.

One of the best fish sandwiches in Pittsburgh!!Only complaint all the condiments are brought out in one use plastics. I understand if they were takeout orders. When I asked about this practice. They do this because how busy the are doing Lent. It wasnt Lent. Food for thought, you might want to revisit your usage of plastics.

Good was delicious,love the fish and Mac. Servers are friendly and they hustle to please the customers. They were very busy as usual,one serving of Mac and cheese was not hot. We eat here frequently, we like Kretzlers.

The food and service were very good. Would have been a 5 if the food was just a little hotter. We were at the end of the line so maybe it was hot in the beginning.Would definitely recommend and will go there again.

Best fish.

A variety of tempting entrees with very good side-dish choices. I had tender liver and onions with gravy...delicious! I also recommend the seafood soup. And the potato pancakes were a delightful surprise. They are crisper and have more potato flavor than any other restaurant I have experienced. I am including restaurants with a German menu.

We had a Christmas party here in the back banquet room. The food was delicious and plentiful for the cost, and the service was wonderful. Ample space for the amount of people that we had, and decorated very festively for the season.

This is a hidden gem in the North Hills. First impressions are how friendly the staff is here. Food is good, served quick and hot. We love the fish here. Plenty of parking, clean bathrooms and restaurant. Come as you are no need to dress up, simple food and atmosphere.

Food was good, however our server didnt seem to know too much about the menu. This normally doesnt bother me, but she had to check with the kitchen on 2 different occasions (daily special and daily vegetable) which delayed our ordering a bit.Definitely a good place to grab some quick tasty bar food though!

Recently had my fathers funeral wake at Kretzlers and the food and the staff were top notch. From the initial meeting to plan it, to the packing up of the extra food, everything was great! Their prices were very reasonable, they catered to all of our requests, and the service was wonderful. Thank you for ensuring quality food and service in a time when we didnt need to worry about anything else.

Went for pick up, the lady taking payments was rude to everyone, turning customers away, the lady delivering the good for the kitchen was really nice, reviewed orders with everyone. Another girl was very nice she saw I was waiting there a while asked my name and checked on my order and updated me without my asking. The food was good, no complaints on the food just a little bland added things at home.

We have been passing by this little gem for a very long time. The parking lot is always full- so we pass it and go somewhere else. We said screw it and went in for a couple drinks one night. Nice place and the food was good! (We sat at the bar BTW.) We have been back twice since then and will go back more in the future!

Pretty decent. The fish sandwich was good and the staff was really nice. It has kind of an old German tavern asthetic on the inside and out. I recommend giving the place a try if you happen to pass it up.

We went there for fish on Wednesday. We arrived at 5:20. We never got our food until 7:30. Absolutely ridiculous. If I wasn’t there catching up with a friend, I would have left. People were seated after us And were served and were finished before we got Our food. We kept asking what the problem was and they couldn’t really say. Very, very poor service. They seemed more interested in filling takeout orders than taking care of customers in the restaurant.

Service is always excellent even when they have a full house. Looking forward to a return visit. It has a great atmosphere.

Decent food, decent beer selection, decent liquor selection. Average service and really disappointing was the fact that the wife I was turned off and whenever they told me theyd turn it on they never did even though I kept asking and probably asked 5 times total while I was there. They werent busy at all either, the bartender who is going to turn on the wifi just never did.

Good place to take the family to eat or have a drink at the bar.Food is decent and consistent as long as you eat there.The only problem I have dealt with every time is ordering for pickup. Unless you check every item in your bag at pickup they will miss an item or two. The last time I ordered a dozen wings they gave me 7 wings. When I called to talk to the manager they refused to let me talk to him!

Kretzlers is phenomenal, the food is always to die for and service is fantastic. I dont think I have had any bad food from the menu. Highlight dishes are their fish sandwiches, Hoiges, and their Octoberfest menu when in season.

The menu has a lot of different things but I like the German items, or at least the German influenced ones. Everything is hot and yummy! They have a good variety of appetizers also. They have TVs if you want to watch what ever game is on too!

Slow but friendly service. We had some trouble with one of our meals not being entered but waited so long for our other meals we couldnt wait any longer. The waitress did offer the kiddo some ice cream which he ate in lieu of his dinner.

The take out has really gone down hill. We ordered 2 fish sandwiches on toasted well buns with 5 tarter sauces. When we opened the dinner at home what we received were buns that were NOT toasted at all and only 2 tarter sauces. What a disappointment. We will not be ordering from them anymore. The fish sandwiches were known to be good but things have gone down hill at this restaurant. Sad

The fish sandwich is still good but the other food has gone downhill. I guess they dont care because of the bar business. Once the kids take over a restaurant they usually go the route of making everything as cheap as possible while jacking up prices and this place is the same. The mashed potatoes are unbelievably nasty which is sad because there are plenty of not bad tasting instant potatoes are the market. Meatloaf horrible, prime rib disgusting they need to go back to the old recipes when their food was good.

Called to order fish sandwiches for the family, for lent. Was told the order would be ready in 45 minutes. I arrived roughly 55 minutes after placing the order, only to stand and wait for another 30 minutes for the food only to be told there was no order put in and that they are sorry. How kind of them.....

First time here. The hostess wasnt very welcoming. Her tone seemed like she didnt want to be bothered. Server seemed really flustered even though it wasnt that busy. We all ordered burgers, and they were hot and really good, but we waited 15 min from the time we got seated to get our orders taken. Then we waited about 35 minutes to even get our food. In the mean time, she barely checked on our table. Maybe once or twice. Wont go back.

My first visit, lots of parking easy to get to from main roads. Menu looks good but it took forever to seat us. Other people ahead were complaining about the long wait. Service was ok nothing special. Seemed like lots of regulars talking with waitresss.

Service was good, food was delicious. I had a burger with bacon and mashed potatoes. Nice thick, crispy bacon. Its a treat thats hard to beat.

It was not good on Friday for lent me and my mother pick up the food for a family get together. The order was 5 fish meals with fries and5 mac n cheeses and when I walked in I stood at the bar for 5 minutes until the bartender talked to me and about 4 minutes later he gave me the food and by the time I got home to eat we really didn’t want to drive all the way back to get our order messed up again, and to believe I gave a $30 tip

The fish is very tasty! My brother goes every Friday. I am so jealous! Because I live in AZ.
