Staff are really helpful and pleasent atmosphere.

Food and atmosphere were outstanding. Looks refreshed since the last time I was there.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the South Baldwin Social Club on 04/29/17. We planned our wedding from out of state and werent able to see anything in person until the week of the wedding. The hall looks even better in person than it does in photos and videos. We liked being able to setup the hall Thursday night instead of Friday. Our only complaint is due to lack of communication during setup. Apparently someone said during setup that a few additional guests were coming. In actually we were short a few guests. We would have liked for someone from the hall to confirm with us (bride or groom) before taking money out of our security deposit to pay for these phantom guests. We chose Stratwood for the catering and we got a lot of compliments on their food and service. Would highly recommend them.

Beautiful hall. Bar set up was perfect. Buffet was nice. Roast beef came out cold but was corrected. Definitely enough space. Staff was great. Enjoyed myself.

Our family recently held a wake at the GV Social Hall which is managed by the same people who own the Gianna Vias restaurant. They were wonderful to work with in planning the luncheon for more than 75 guests, especially given the short notice and situation, and really did all the work in making it a special day for our family and guests. The food was excellent and service staff were very professional, and numerous guests commented on how convenient and clean the banquet hall was. We would highly recommend the GV Social Hall and Gianna Vias for a wedding, reunion, funeral wake, etc., in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.

My boyfriends sister just got married here over the weekend. It’s a very nice venue! The catering staff did a great job with everything. Their event coordinator Shelly also did a great job with all the decorating!I would recommended for sure for a local place to have a wedding or event!Edit: tried to add a photo but it’s not letting me atmAlso want to add bc of older comments. This place is under new ownership I believe. Gianna Via in castle Shannon run and cater the events and they do a wonderful job!

Really nice banquet hall. Be choosey on the caterer though. Staff was very helpful. Good amount of parking! Sort of out of the way location. No big deal - listed on GPS.

I was here as a guest for a wedding and was treated poorly by the bartenders. The bartenders were judgemental and opinionated. They asked me what it felt like to know I drank a six pack, and they also asked if I was driving in an obnoxious way. They made me feel uncomfortable and their judgments were unneeded.

Just went to to a wedding here and it was beautiful inside! Could not tell it was simply a social hall

Not aloud 2 have a shot but can have mixed drinks. As a smoker. I was not allowed 2 walk outback into the smoking area with my beer. Felt like I and others where treated like children.
