We called Stahl to replace our bathtub faucet because it was giving us problems. The two guys who came out - Cory and John - were great! Professional, kind, focused on the job, answered all of my questions. And the price for the job was fair and exactly what was quoted. Ill be using them again for future jobs.

Service: Replace washing machine outlet valve- At the door, I kindly asked if he can wear shoe covers (either his or those that I provided). He refused and said he already swiped them off to car mat.- While I am on mask (which by itself tells I care about it), I asked if he can wear a mask but he didnt even bother to respond.- After 10-15 minutes, he asked if there is a bathroom in that floor. I thought he was gonna check something inside. He just got in and peed standing up (telling from the sound of it), not sure even if he washed his hands afterwards.- It took one hour to replace a valve and he charged me $85 for just for the part that is commonly available at $35 online and nearby. 1-hour labor rate of $110 is normal I guess.I was planning to have them done a couple more plumbing jobs but changed my mind. Never again with Stahl!

Cory came out - same day as our request - and immediately fixed our issue. He was kind, professional, and wore a mask (we are very Covid-safe and have an infant) the entire time. He even fixed a secondary issue and told us how to prevent / fix it in the future. I recommend them highly and will use them again.

Ive used only Stahls since buying my home 20 years ago I trust them to not rip me off which is HUGE. The technicians are always really nice.

The expectancy that one has for anyone whos invited into your home to perform the task set out, is one of professionalism. You are contracting with the company you are paying for service.and if your employees Damage property then they should be held accountable.. that is Not what happened.and after calling and receiving nothing but snowjobs and blame passing to downright denial l know this company isnt for me.

We had the garbage disposal replaced by Stahl plumbing at our daughters condo in Pittsburgh. They did a great job and completed the work on time.

Thus Company has NOT finished the job my Mom hired them to do. They left very large holes in her kitchen ceiling . Hopefully they will stand by their word and take care of this problem. She trusted this company and they let her down.

Was used by my contractor for a business project. According to him they were never responding or available. Had to wait for them a lot and so it delayed things. Found a leak last week. Took them a week to show up. The guy did not turn the water off before looking at pipe. The water starting pouring in my commercial kitchen. I would not recommend at all.

Scheduled 2 commercial backflow test on 1/13/2021. One location their plumber said we do not have the device. He will give me an estimate how much to install one. He said there is no charge on this one, since he did not do anything. Then I brought him to another location. He said he need half hour to finish it. I said I will leave the door open. Just call me after you finish it. He never called me back. I went there 1 hour later. He left already, and left the door open. I have been waiting for estimate, test report, and receipt for 2 days. They never sent me a email, receipt, and test report. I called office on 1/15th, 18th, and 25th. Reception said will have plumber call me back and explain. I have never got a call back. Now I end up to dispute 2 charges with my credit card company. It is not poor service. It is no service. Please do not bother them.

Very capable helpful plumbers. Fixed problem 2 other companies couldnt remedy. Also came out to investigate new leak. Found it was related to furnace & would not take any fee. No one does that! Honest & reliable.

Be careful with Stahl plumbing. The first time they came to fix the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink. Turns out, after having them come over, they said it needed to be replaced with a new one for ~$400. I had to go fetch the new garbage disposal myself. The worst part was that after installing the garbage disposal, they told me they werent able to install the switch for the disposal, and that I would need to call them for another ~$200 to install that. Im now stuck with using the electric panel (the main switch) in the apartment just to turn on/off the garbage disposal. Absolutely ridiculous. (Not to mention, the person who came in was rude and condescending.)The second time involved a leaking toilet tank. I called up the resident maintenance person in my apartment and he told me I needed to get a plumber to replace a single piece in the bottom of the tank, and recommended Stahl plumbing. So I decided to give Stahl another shot -- a huge mistake. First of all it takes a week just to schedule someone to come in (mind you, this is a week without using that toilet). As always, it gets worse. The plumber who comes is not only rude but incompetent. For one, because the toilet tank was leaking upon flush, he asked me for a towel to soak up the water. No problem, I give him the only spare towel Ive got, but kindly ask him to avoid using the other towel as I needed it for personal use. The moment I walk away, he uses the other towel in the bathroom anyway without a word. Seems unbelievable, but its true. In terms of the quality of work, pictures speak way louder than words -- see attached the result of his visit. By the way, his work of art costed $100. Now he wants to come back another day to get the entire toilet replaced (seems like a pretty typical move for Stahl...).In any case -- dont make the same mistake I did by trusting this company. Absolute terrible service and pricing. If I could give 0 stars I would.

It took three attempts over three days for this company to install my water heater correctly. In the meantime they broke my drain pain, dripped solder onto my carpet, broke a floorboard, and left their trash in my parking lot, only to charge $900 over their original quote.

We called Stahl Plumbing, Heating and Cooling for a backed up floor drain. They returned our call very quickly, and came immediately. The workers were professional and friendly. They also worked efficiently and quickly unclogged and fixed what needed to be fixed. Overall, I was very satisfied with their level of service, and I will be using their services in the future!

Technician serviced my boiler did very little , all to tell me that I need a 500.00 part. Prior technician serviced me without that part and my boiler ran very well, he even let me know it wasnt necessary to have that part. If you manually fill the tank and than regulate the pressure, that part isnt needed.

They professionally installed a Hot Water Heater and were able to solve our bathtub problems..Very nice and honest over the phone. I would definitely recommend them for plumbing issues.

I paid $480 for them to snake plumbing. Still had clog but they wouldnt come back and fix without charging $300 an hour. They did not fix when they were here.

We just had a great experience with these plumbers. We ended up having to have our whole yard dug up to replace the water line from the street to the house. The men who did the work were quick, careful, and nice. They even helped me empty the mesh filter on our bathroom sink when it got filled with dirt (because when they replaced the line some dirt naturally gets in). They had to pour cement in our basement and it looks great. We actually had to leave town before the work was done and returned to it looking great. They even brought in a package that was left on our front porch while we were gone.

Came to fix a leaking water heater. Told me I needed a new water heater. Since it was only 4 years old at the time, I decided to get a second opinion. As it turned out, the pressure valve needed to be replaced. A $25 part! And they wanted to replace the water heater and charge me $1400 or more. When I called to speak to the boss, he had the gaul to say that he thought I WANTED to have the water heater replaced. I had been their customer for decades before this. Always had been satisfied with their service before this happened. Cant trust them with anything now.

We just had a routine maintenance check on our heater yesterday. The tech was on time, fast, and very friendly. We will definitely be using Stahl Plumbing in the future for any heating / plumbing needs. Thanks again!

I had Stahl plumb in a shower in our remodeled master bath. I asked for copper but they insisted that Pex would be a better option. Of course a year later the connection sprung a leak behind the shower wall and they refuse to warranty any of their work. They also did not glue down the sub floor like I requested and the tile floor cracked. They are one of the quickest responding plumbers to look at and schedules jobs...too bad they have no pride in their craftsmanship and their installation is lazy at best.

I will never call Stahl AGAIN for help. Charged for a job that they did not do. Called and spoke to the apparent owner and that was a waste of time. He told me that this was my fault because I dont know how to use a tape measure. I will find another company for help.

We have been using this company for several years. We have had the same problems of heater which is not starting to ignite for 3 years in a row. We had to call them 6-7 times and 2 times last week. We changed the parts, cleaned...etc. They still could not find the problems and heater worked only for a few days. This morning I called them again and asked them why we still have the same problems for a few years. And the lady started to raise her voice and angry. Apology first!! and dont be angry!! This is the end of the business with them.

Have had continuous issues with them not fixing the entire problem but rather just putting bandaids on it and charging you with a fill visit. Guy came in to work on the triple sink in my kitchen, was here for 5 mins and left saying everything was done and fixed. Nothing was fixed. Have had multiple visits to fix issues on my sinks that never get resolved. Maybe their hvac is better but if you need plumbing work done, beware.

The plumber came to level out the bathroom floor for the toilet in my home and did not turn off the water before he started cutting into the floor. He cut into the water pipe and flooded the ceiling and had to fix the water pipes in the floor. The company charged me for the entire time he was there even though I told them what happened. The lady at Stahl told me that the plumber did not report any problems. I said of course he is not going to tell you he flooded my ceiling by cutting the pipes by mistake. charged me $1200 for a $600 job.

They do not get back to you or answer emails. Once you get them to respond they do good work.

In my line of work...i have to deal with various trade companies from plumbing to hvac to electricial companies....i have been using shahl plumbing at every hotel i have been director of maintenance,and i can tell you without a doubt...they are the best and most responsible plumbing company i have ever used.....they are extremely professional....always on time......do great work and clean up after themselves....i have never been dissappointed when i have needed them...i would recommend them to anyone

Weve been dealing with a national plumbing chain over the past few months. We paid them to replace a belly in a pipe in our basement (Im certain this was needed). We had a second backup and they wanted us to replace a 25 length of pipe, which would have required jackhammering out our basement floor.When I asked them whether they could just clear it, they told me it wasnt possible with cast iron. Thats nuts.I had the local Stahl folks out (and I wish I knew the name of the plumber that was here) and they saved me a good $7000. They were able to pressure jet out the entire run of pipe and restore it to almost new appearance. They even fixed a leaky faucet thats been bothering me for years just because they were here.Great folks. Ill continue to go with them.

They were at my home 2 weeks ago. I have been using them off and on for about 15 years for furnace maintenance and plumbing repair. Buy I was completely displeased with the last service call. He came late and apparently he was hoping he was my last call and he rushed though the job would be an understatement. It was a quick fix but then I turned around he was already back in his truck writing up the receipt. He also managed to run over 3 of my neighbors garbage cans leaving 2 unusable. But he never told me. My neighbor works from home and when he finished working he knocked on my door. They did replace them but had a funky attitude about it. The cans were on the side of the driveway on a grassy knoll area and once he hit the one u would have thought he would back up and not just continue to run the remaining 2 over. Dont think I will be using them anytime soon.

Had Tom as my technician, he addressed the problem we had (a corroded valve to our fridges water dispenser) and fixed it in a very timely manner. As a member of a blue collar team, I appreciated that he was friendly and honest about the problem and how to fix it. The prices were a bit higher than I had expected, but for getting serviced on a holiday, I cant really complain too much. Would recommend them for basic plumbing/pipework needs.

I scheduled an appointment for 3 pm--came home early for work. Received a call from the service person at 3:40, saying he is over an hour away, in traffic. I consider this very poor service.

On one of the coldest nights of the year, my furnace went out. The blower motor was making a weird noise and then shutting down. I called Stahl after normal business hours and left a message with their answering service. Got a call back about 30-minutes later. The woman on the phone was very up front about their after-hours labor rate and offered me the option to wait until normal business hours, but said that if it was an emergency she could have someone out within a couple of hours. Since overnight temps were going to hit single digits, I decided it would be best to take care of the problem right away.About an hour later, the tech called to let me know that he was on his way. He was very friendly and personable, and clearly explained everything that he was doing with the furnace. He had the needed part on his truck and was able to get everything fixed in under an hour. For an after-hours, last-minute appointment I thought the total cost was very reasonable.

Didnt solve furnace problem still charged $98.00 for 7 minute visit. Dont get me wrong the guy was nice. Just ineffective. I was told someone would call me back to fix another heating / cooling issue, its been a month... I called another company. Thats a shame though because I bought a water heater also from Stahl . Very very disappointed.

We had a pipe issue right before a snowstorm and only Stahl had a plumber able to make it to us. In only 45 minutes, our drainage problem was fixed and we could dry out our house. John Duffy was our plumber and he explained the problem, took care of it quickly, and was very polite. We would highly recommend them for emergency plumbing.

Disgusted. A man driving a stahl vehicle got out of his running car in a busy intersection and threatened to punch my friend in the face because we got in front of him. He claimed he had a baby in the car (why he would abandon said baby in a running car half way in the intersection, not sure) and how dare we cut him off. Called the company owner- he didn’t care one iota - hung up on me.

Called several times and a lady that answers is very rude (always) and lacks customer service skills. Lost paper work for warranty of previous installation. Expensive . A 40 dollar part at Lowes was quoted by Stahl would have cost 250.00 and took 10 minutes to fix by someone else .

Stahl plumber got out of his truck, while it was running, in a backed-up highway condition (apparently with a baby in the car) and threatened to attack the driver of our car because he felt we had cut him off. We called Stahls office and the owner refused to do anything about the situation, despite providing make, model, and license plate of the vehicle. We also filed a police report.

Called them for an emergency dead water heater on Christmas weekend. Came same day an did great work. Super expensive but they charged what they quoted. Other plumbers did not return call such as Sembower Mikesell.

I have had 4 bad experience with Stahl plumbing now. When they enter your home for repairs they leave it a mess. They have no care or respect for you or your property. They will bill you whatever they want some time double what they said, even if they don’t fix the problem or have the right equipment. They are a big scam just like the rest of theses big service company’s. Being involved in the real estate and construction industry I will be makeing sure they are removed from the referral lists.

I have been pleased with the service at Stahl’s for my plumbing and HVAC needs. My air conditioner stopped working and they recommended replacing the motor which did the trick. My AC is over ten years old and it was a great savings not having to purchase a new one. They have been reliable and honest with their repairs.

Plumber fixed downstairs leaks but has to come back for upstairs leaks.

They have failed to fix our A/C unit many times and left us in the unbearable muggy heat for weeks. The response we received is that someone simply forgot to order parts and have made no effort since forth to schedule another appointment. Do yourself a favor and dont pay their unreasonable prices for little to no service.

The Plumbing work is done quickly and efficiently and they are respectful throughout. The issue is with the heating and air department. I have a commercial building and needed the AC fixed. We decided to use a Nest system, which l was told later by another heating and air company, is not meant for a commercial space and cant be installed. Stahl however did not tell me this and tried installing it for an hour, even trying to add additional and unnecessary wiring, and drilled a hole through the wall to try and make it work. The Stahl employee then said there was something wrong with the face of the thermostat, and once we order a new one, we would be good to go. My husband suggested to him before he left that he try re-installing the old thermostat, which he spent an additional hour doing and couldnt get that to work either, meaning if we had listened to him with his first suggestion, we would have wasted $200 buying a new thermostat. He then said he didnt know what the problem was, and maybe we should have a electrician look at it. He still charged us $200 for 2 hours of tinkering around with no definite resolution at the end. I then hired a guy from Torbich heating & air, who knew exactly what needed to be done, gave me an exact set of instructions on how to go about it, and it was done in 2 days. The gentleman from Torbich also said that Stahl should never have added the extra wiring, because he had to fix their mistake in order for the air to kick on, which was an additional cost for me and more of his time taken up as well. Although this was all brought up to Stahls heating and air department, they refused to give a full refund for their mistakes, the waste of my time or their shortness on the phone with us. Sadly, because of the experience with the AC, I will not use Stahl again.

The 1st and 3rd visit by your plumbers did a good job.(unthawing pipes and replacing a counter top.) The 2nd set of plumbers were not the expert recommended by the 1st plumber. Therefore they were unnecessary and they were not the SPECIALIST THAT was needed. AND WE WERE CHARGED FOR THE 2ND SET WHO KNEW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT THEY HAD TO DO and they said so. I reached out to your company 2 times and a wrote slew of letters with NO RESPONSE. Weve dealt with your company for at least 10 (TEN) years and find your lack of response disturbing to say the least.. Youve left us no choice so we are now lodging a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office.

My experience is from January 2017. Stahl come to my home 2 times with in two days in Jan 2017 to repair clog and then again to replace stack and pipes to the cost of about $800. Jobs were done ok, but plumbers left water leaking in basement. I called Stahl to report this no reply for 3 days called again and asked to speak with manager, secretary was rude and screamed at me and then the owner got on the phone and spoke to me in an extremely rude and derrogatory manner when all i wanted was the water leak in basement fixed. I am just reporting this now as I was not aware of the this forum to rate this and other services until recently. I was so disappointed to hear the own of this company speak to a customer who paid for their services and only requested thethe job be completely as paid for. WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. AM ONLY GIVING 1 STAR TO ENSURE MESSAGE WILL POST.

Have had a number of good experiences with Stahl, most recently last week when they located a gas leak in the basement (I thought it was coming from the water heater, they found it at a pipe connection above the clothes washer). The repair job was reasonably priced.

I have been a loyal Stahl Plumbing customer for over 12 years and would not go anywhere else for my plumbing and HVAC needs!

They installed a faulty part, ok that happens. The night we called about it and started asking questions the receptionist hung up. They called us back said theyd be at the house before 12 PM the next day. At 12:07 called and said he was on his way. At 1:50 I called to ask how much longer because I have work and the receptionist got an attitude and when I started giving her my address she yelled at me. 20 minutes later the repair man showed up. The repairman was nice and in and out as fast as he could since I told him I had to leave for work soon.

Very poor customer service. My mother called them out to look at her furnace they blew it up. Then the tech laughed about it. When my mom started asking question the tech got pissed off started swearing and stormed off. When we called the company the heating supervisor got pissy with me cause I called to tell them about their tech being rude and she started cutting off my Sentences and then pretending like her phone was breaking up and kept hanging up on me.Total hacks and rip off artist. I will be giving them a bad review on every review website to make sure they dont rip anyone else off. I will also be calling the BBB to file a report.Hopefully this helps someone from making a mistake in calling stahl.

On the Friday before Christmas we realize our drain was backing up so I call Gillece and they said they could be here on the Tuesday after Christmas when the guy came he gave us an estimate of $11,000 to $15,000. I then called Stahls and spoke to Roger who told me not to sign anything. Stahls came out on Wednesday gave us an estimate and started the repair on Thursday and Friday, they will be back on Monday to put down the cement. Stahls came in at $5,000. My husband and I are very happy with Stahls. I will never call Gillece again.

My husband and I have used Stahl a few times for plumbing repairs on our house and thought they were pretty decent. Recently our central air conditioner stopped turning on, so we called them to check it out.The repairman came and messed around with our digital thermostat, tightening wires & changing batteries, and kind of snarkily blamed us for the AC not turning on, as he thought our thermostat was hooked up incorrectly. We found this odd, as it had never been a problem in the three years weve had it, but shrugged it off.He told me he got the AC running, as he claimed it wasnt working due to not being hooked up correctly to the thermostat (weird?) then gave me the expected sales pitch to call them back when its warmer out (it was 45 degrees out that day) to give it a full routine check up.Its been pretty cold out during the past month, so we hadnt tried to turn it on again until the other day. Sure enough, my husband tried to turn the AC on and it wouldnt turn on at all, just the fan part. We think the repairman somehow confused the AC with the fan, when he told me he fixed the thermostat and got it working again.I called Stahl and told them what happened and the woman who answers the phone got really defensive and started yelling at me! I was very nice and calm when explaining the situation, so there was no need for this. Besides the whole issue with not doing the job properly and then not admitting to it, we dont do business with companies who are rude to us. They no longer will have our business for plumbing or HVAC.

Avoid at all costs. They charge 235$ an hour, which of course they dont tell you. When I called to voice my frustration a belligerent Roger (owner) berated me in saying it was my responsibility to know these costs upfront. If I could give zero stars I would.
