I was hit by one of their garbage trucks, I was on my bicycle, I had the right of way, I didnt have a stop sign. The driver said he seen me and pulled out in front of me anyway, he said he had a big truck and I should of stopped, I luckily wasnt hurt but my bike was trashed. The cop sided with them saying it was both of our faults, apparently pedestrians dont have the right of way anymore. Corporate is unresponsive and the local company is honking at me and blocking the crosswalks now. There is video of the whole thing. Your supposed to stop behind the stop sign, not over the crosswalks in front of the stop sign.

My card is charged each month and service is paid for. However, since October they have not picked up my trash. Finally after 3 weeks it was serviced even though I called every week. I must Still call each week because they wont pick it up?? Bill is paid! Same response: we will look into this. Solution: NOTHING!! Not even a phone call! Who operates like that?? I would like a job, I will take less pay and make sure customers are treated as if they matter and get what they pay for. Absolutely unacceptable. Republic should be embarrassed and ashamed of this allowed behavior!

Trash pickup has been reliable but recycling pickup extremely poor. After at least 3 weeks of the bin not being completely emptied (no obstructions in the bin), my recycling has not been picked up at all for 2 weeks. I have made multiple phone calls (after holding for 20+ minutes each) and reported issues online without success. The 602 phone number actually connects to their offices in North Carolina and they are totally out of touch with whats happening across the country in Phoenix. They take notes and promise pickup the next day but it never happens. I am paid up thru September and recently learned that if I cancel my service before the end of September, I will not be refunded for payments already made. I cannot recommend this trash service.

No call no show for 7-7 residential service, requested and confirmed by customer support on 7-6, on 7-8 customer support indicated someone reported pick up made, serious integrity issue, was informed a supervisor would call me to confirm 7-8 or 7-9 pick up, NO Call and no follow-up by customer support, Republic is quickly losing credibility, sounds like you have a leadership failure in Colorado, note on hold wait time was 20 to 30 minutes both days

Republic services has the worst customer service! Our experience was with the account rep Francisco Arayuo and his manager Brenna Sanchez. We took over the management of a property in March/April 2020, my assistant contacted Republic trash to get details on the current services because the owners were really unhappy with the service provided at the property and requested that we get quotes from other vendors. She spoke with Francisco at Republic Trash and he provided her with a quote. After reviewing the quote and comparing it to 2 other vendors, Republic was the highest priced and provided the worst service out of the 3 vendors so we decided to go with another vendor who has been our trash vendor at other properties we manage. After providing Republic trash 30 days cancellation notice. Francisco then let us know that we were in contract until 2021! Why did he not tell us when we called initially?? Or is it Republics policy to quote people and disregard letting them know they had an existing agreement? It was very deceptive. What made it worse was after we brought this up to Francisco and his manager Brenna, they blatantly denied that they did anything wrong. Since we already signed a new agreement with the new vendor, we cannot get out of the contract. However, Republic Trash is claiming liquidated damages even though this could have all been avoided had their rep simply acknowledged there was an agreement already in place, we would have continued with their poor service until the agreement was up. Francisco repeatedly would not provide Brennas manager info and nothing has been resolved because he claims he owns the company and can make the decisions for the company. He contacted me to let me know that there is no one else for me to speak with about this and hung up on me. We have made attempts to call the corporate office however that number does not work. This company is the absolute worse when it comes to customer service and care less about their customers once they sign an agreement. It is not about make a sale but keeping the clients that is already there! I do not recommend this company and have pulled all the agreements that have come due. We have only 1 property left with Republic Trash and will be switching the moment it expires!

Apache Junction switched from RAD to Republic less than a year ago and the service at our business has been terrible. We have to call almost every week as the miss our pickup. Trying to run a business with trash overflowing and spending time calling every week is beyond ridiculous. Have asked many times to speak with a supervisor and have been put on continuous hold or no call back. Currently filing a complaint with Apache Junction as I am on hold.

Republic states they have to have a phone call from the customer in order to cancel service. I have been on hold over 20 minutes and still waiting to talk with a human to complete my cancellation! And the trash and recycle bins are beat up from prolonged use and I have to pay up to $45 for pick up? Republic does not indicate per bin or in total. Better information and an email address needed for less frustrating communication with this company! Or more persons answering their phones! Still waiting.....

Wish I could rate in the negatives. Sat on hold for 30min to schedule a bulk trash pick up for our street scheduled for tomorrow. I was told rudely that the schedule is full. I said, “but you’re already coming down my street” I was told I had to call earlier and the cut off was an hour ago. Every time I’ve ever dealt with this company, the immature rude and seemingly annoyed employees don’t give a $@!? With such low reviews and ratings, how do they keep going? That’s the world these days. No accountability. Sad and annoying.

I worked here for 3 years . I got hurt for a second time recently do to a reported safety issue that didnt get fixed (not a shocker). I was on medical leave and the company tried making me come back against doctors orders so they didnt have any missed worked injurys. They never paid me for my missed time and they ended up firing me do to no call no shows even though I was still in the middle of working kinks out between republic and my doctors and was told during my no work restrictions by my boss to not contact him anymore . How can I call off when you tell me not to communicate with you anymore ? This company could care less about the back breaking workers . All they care about is the office people . They through a father out on the streets with no workers comp pay and declined his unemployment during a dam PANDEMIC! Do not work for these guys !

I signed up with Republic, after having no problem with their services through City of Buckeye, while moving to a new home. I had to call/email every time for pickups, they never came once on time at my new house. This went on for nearly two months. The customer service was very pleasant until I chose to cancel my service, at which point the kid I was talking to became abrasive, looked to interrupt me when I was speaking, and even suggested the missed pickups were my own fault, insinuating a driver had made it on time once, and didnt see a can out (if I put the can out, its the night before, it was there), then had the gall to admonish me that I not put any more trash in the cans. Duh. You think I dont have trash service somewhere else if Im cancelling the service? Never mind that they werent picked up, theyre already full? Not very bright that one. This was on 12/11/2020. I was told the cans would be removed on the 18th... I expressed disbelief at the length of time and reconfirmed it several times with him.Shocker, its a week later (12/18)..... they havent been picked up.If you have a choice at all in your service provider, you should probably avoid this service. Most of the reps I talked to were nice, and the service is cheap if you can get them to show up without getting to know customer service 2x a week, but I couldnt, and I have better things to do than talk to the customer service department every time they miss a pick up..... which was literally every time over the course of 7 weeks I used them directly. Seems as if they arent answering to a city, they just dont care.Ive told them Im expecting a full refund of everything I paid them, not expecting Ill see that, especially since Im now seeing that they try to charge people for cancellation. What a joke. I hope anyone who can avoid this company, does._________________Update 12/22These guys are just outright liars and thieves, but the CCRM team below is talking to me. The people who manage the route here are either lying through their teeth, or so incompetent they cant see 2 cans that are literally on the edge of the road, and have been since the 11th of December. I get it. The only positive thing I can say is that CCRM, when they respond, are polite and professional as possible.I cancelled my service on 12/11/20. I was told then that any reimbursement would be released within 6 weeks. Its now 3/1/21... Ive seen or heard nothing about what should be a full refund. I emailed them about it Friday (2/26), and as of yet, have not heard anything back. No reason to increase any star rating yet, well see what happens.

This is regarding our service in Eastern Pennsylvania. In 2018 when a competitor entered the area we were promised a competitive rate. It lasted for one quarter. Our rate steadily climbed from $100 to $191 over a two year period. The local competition is offering rates of 69 and 95 for the same service. When I discovered that Republic was cheating me I brought it to their attention. They refused to credit me the over $400 over charge. They were willing to lower the rate to $128 of course once they were caught cheating.Don’t trust them. Make sure you have a competitive rate.

We have a small freezer that died. We called a repair service to empty the freon. He advised me he cant get tags to indicate that freon was removed. He then took the compressor out which means the box has no freon. Republic wont take it because there is no tag! IT DOESNT HAVE A COMPRESSOR THEREFORE THERE IS NO FREON! There seems to be a total disconnect with common sense.

I dont believe these negative reviews. I hear other employees on the phone with customers. They are professional and have wonderful working relations with their clients or customers. I can tell by how they speak to them, the tone and how the calls are wrapped up. There is no apologizing and the conversations are pleasant. As a company, we take a lot of pride in how we support the company, how we treat each other and how we do our jobs, as well as how we interact with the community. This is the best company Ive ever worked for. Theyre great!

I have experience working with Republic Services in at least 20 divisions and they are great for the most part, responsive, responsible, with great service, however the website is awful, entirely inappropriate for a company that generates 10 billion dollars yearly in revenue, it seems like they dont care about the website, which is a big shame.

This is the best company Ive ever worked for! I worked in a commercial waste landfill and we followed all landfill regulations and completed our regular inspections and sample testing without cutting corners. Management was excellent and we were well treated, safety was practiced, and the 5 Rs that make up the Star guided our way of life on and off the job.

They are trying to ruin an already established neighborhood stating that it is industrial but yet they need a re-zone hearing because it is residential. We do BOT need these transfer stations near neighborhoods especially one as established as North Peoria. Move somewhere else! Stay away from.our community!

Service was actually good until recently. Their drivers cracked both my containers and I requested they be replaced....five weeks and a dozen calls later...nothing. The rep I spoke with 8/28 admitted they are severely shortstaffed and cant handle all the requests. I suggested they consider offering a living wage. Guaranteed to fix the problem. Most of the people I have spoken with have been nice but powerless to do anything except make note of complaints. And oh yeah....their prices will be going up but they couldnt say how much. I was just disconnected from their customer service number because they cant handle the volume of calls! What a lame company. In this day and age, especially with social media you cant suck and stay in business. BTW that email they keep giving to address complaints....crickets. If I could give NO STARS I would.

DO NOT USE THEM EVER! I have been a customer for 10 years. They missed two pick-ups this month. They have been rescheduled . . . twice. They have still not picked up the trash. I have called several times. They claim to have escalated the issue and they keep rescheduling a pick-up that never happens. I asked them what I could do to resolve the issue, and they have no answer for me. I cant even speak to anyone who knows whats happening. The worst part is I asked for a credit for the missed pick-up and they only offered $3.60 even though I pay $125 per month.Ridiculous. Im still waiting for a call or at least the trash picked up . . . while I call Waste Management to schedule service from now on.

The drivers are great! They are the only reason why I gave a 2 star rating. Customer service is horrible & prices are insanely high. I was told that my recycling service would cost $35.70 every 3 months, which isn’t bad. Today, however, I received a $47.17 bill that was strictly for them To deliver my recycle bin to me; my local offices are just 10 miles west of me, if that. Called the customer service number & got the run around. Being on disability, I can’t afford surprise bills like this. It is my feeling that they should absorb that cost, as I was not informed of it ahead of time. Being a multi billion dollar corporation, they can more than afford to do so. Take care of your customers, Republic Services, or you will lose this brand new customer to one of your competitors.!

DO NOT SIGN THAT CONTRACT!!!! It will be harder to get out of that contract than it is to get a divorce! Republic Services is the absolute worst business I have ever came across. READ THE CONTRACT! Their contracts are designed so that there is no way they could ever be at fault for a customer wanting to cancel their service. This is a snippet right from their contract “Any notice of termination under this agreement by customer shall be void unless sent via certified mail, return receipt requested, and actually received by company.” It’s 2018 and you have to send certified mail to cancel a contract. But then even when you do that, they can simply say “I never received it, even though you have a return receipt because our contract states we have to actually receive it, and I can just say we didn’t”.There are no protections for you as their customer. They will handcuff you and not let you go no matter how much you have to kick and scream. They have the money to spend on lawyers, which I’m sure is a huge part of their revenue stream. They are designed to pray on their customers. Horrible horrible horrible company. Check out guys at Weinberger; family owned & operated, and they keep their customers by providing a great service, NOT by holding their customers ransom by their contract.

These guys are a scam. After they sent out Stevie Wonder to pick up my recycling, Ive called to have them send out another pickup... they never did. 4 times in a row Ive called and have them promise to send someone out by the next business day, no one ever showed up. They tried claiming its because of my address... the house hasnt moved, in fact, its quite stationary!When cancelling, the fee to remove the containers is almost as much as the bill for an entire quarter! I dont even know how this is legal. Do not sign their contract.

Up to till August of 2017 Republic did a good job here in Georgia, they collected the trash and recycling with no issues. Missed pickups were extremely rare and corrected immediately. That changed. During one three day period their customer service lied to me four times. To me a lie is when someone tells me something will happen and it does not. Four times I was told a missed pick up would be be rectified and a pick up made. Four times it did not happen. Try to get past the Great Wall of Customer service and you find it a difficult task. I flagged down one of their trucks and asked the driver for a phone number of someone other than customer service to whom I could speak with ( after so many lies I stop believing or wanting to talk to an organization). As he was instructed he gave me a business card. The number on the card was to customer service. Truck personnel are well trained in how corporate wants to keep customers at arms length.

This company is a complete unethical corporation that keeps sending bills and threats of collection without being transparent as to why bills keep accruing in the fact that service was cancelled. I am extremely disappointed that the board of directors for this company does not step in to set employees straight and have them work honestly. Terrible customer service and very irresponsible, needless to say unprofessional, handling of customer calls in the Fremont, CA office. I spent HOURS ON HOLD, was GIVEN WRONG COLLECTION DATE, and PUT ON HOLD AGAIN EVEN AFTER REACHING AN EMPLOYEE. No callback, no response to missed collection, and you just get put on endless hold over and over.You have no choice but to call them to schedule bulk waste item - cant be done by website or the app. There is mention of an email address for bulk waste pickup scheduling. Emailed that address, and no response after a week. This company has had plenty of time to offer any response for missing scheduled pickups, but there is none. This is simply put an absolutely irresponsible and unprofessional company.

Very very dishonest company. Do not do business with these guys. They would frequently not pickup, and claim the dumpster was blocked. Calling them to figure out why was always the most miserable experience. They would always claim the dumpster was blocked, we would show them on our security camera this was not the case and never could get any help. Then they would change us to come back. We finally mailed them a letter and emailed them to cancel, both of which they claimed were not received. Canceling was a nightmare! I wouldnt recommend this company to my enemies. STAY AWAY!

It is here to serve the stockholders and it shows with absurd price increases, terrible customer service, and a stock price that has skyrocketed in the past 5 years. Their online customer service reps have been fully trained to say No . No to credits ... No to reasonable and fair practices. They say Yes only to price increases and BIG ones. They handout 20% + price increases without flinching. They dont respond to letters, phone calls, etc. Ignore customers. Nothing redeeming about them. I suggest you find a neighbor and share services from another supplier to save money and avoid Republic Services completely.

Words do not express how bad the customer service is with this company. I dont understand how they are still in business. I have 3 pages of notes about trying to 1.have them take out a dumpster and 2. Charging me for services they did not provide. I have spent HOURS trying to resolve my issues. No stars should be available. We had a 2ft cubic yard dumpster for 2 years. Service was fabulous! We sold that property and moved 1 block down the street. I called numerous times to have dumpster moved. After nearly 4wks, we received a different dumpster, and our initial dumpster was left on the property we sold. It remained there for nearly a month. Received a bill in July for 4xs the amount of normal monthly price. Its is now Mid October, I have been calling since July regarding my bill, which is now $553. Absurd. They have relocation fees, service interruption fees, fuel charge fees and other miscellaneous BS fees that WERE NOT discussed when I spoke to representatives. Ive called numerous times trying to rectify my bill, all they can say is We apologize for any inconvenience, we truly understand and We can expedite the request. No one NEVER calls back. I get mail and automated voicemails. If they cant make me happy, Im definitely not gonna make them happy. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians there! So, when I called today, after all the headaches I went through the past few months, yep, I let Mercedes have it. I did tell her Im sorry for cussing at her, but the whole situation was bs!! I told her to cancel my service completely, that the dumpster needs to be moved by Monday. I told her since the dumpster has wheels, if its there after Monday they would have to find their dumpster because Im gonna roll that motherf$@!&* elsewhere down the street! Republic Services contracts are complete bs. They never follow the rates at which are agreed to on the contract. In addition to the blatant illegal activity regarding their contracts they also lie about their services. They always market that they are 99% reliable and essentially never miss pickups, but after analyzing the service I have received from Republic around the country shows that we have missed 32.3% of pickups in 2015. After reviewing how they could miss so many, I got on with the scheduling department and they showed me how they are technically not missing any pickups because when they cant service you on the proper day they just reschedule it themselves and then treat the new schedule they made up as not missing the original date. Hopefully Republic will come forward and improve their services instead of operating illegally, but if not I have started the process of a class action against Republic.

Republic has a CEO making 8 million and across the country the reviews are all the same. SLIMY billing practices backed by lousy drivers. They are trash company that has a policy of NEVER LIFTING A FINGER. Their policy, they only take bathroom and kitchen trash in bags in the can they make you over pay for. They charge you to take away the trash can when you finally have had it with them charging you for anything outside of the bathroom / kitchen trash They actually look at what is going into their truck and the drivers are instructed to 1 NOT GET OUT OF THE TRUCK, and 2 notify the office if there is something outside what is acceptable trash so they can charge you extra. I just canceled my service. the last pick up the guy didnt get out of the truck to move a Styrofoam block that had leaned against the trashcan so he used his truck arm, grabbed the trashcan, crushed the Styrofoam made a mess of my yard and drove away. PATHETIC policies and a horrible business model and the CEO makes 8 million. Worst waste management company ever! Avoid them at all costs if possible. Disrespectful, to me and my wallet. They are out to make money off of every customer. You have been warned, Go elsewhere for service. In my opinion of course.

I am very disappointed with this company you can pay your bill but do not expect them to pickup trash on the days they are suppose to. I have called on three different occasion about my trash not being picked up. First no one can tell me the reason why not (no special holiday that seen or knew about), second do not expect anyone from management to call because its not going to happen, and third when you call the corporate office it is only more shuffled bs that was given to me. I would not waste the time nor the money with this company.

Bad drivers who slam dumpsters before 6am, Many times I contacted them. Then when you complain they move the dumpster around the corner. Complain again when the driver still continues to do it and they try and tell you that the guys who moved it around the corner will address the issue again. Slamming dumpsters next to homes is illegal before 7am.

We used republic for the last three years! Rates were being increased yearly close so 15-20%; id call to get a more reasonable increase and finally, this year they simply never got back to me.I contacted the sales person to cancel my account...that was over a month ago; I have an email confirmation that its closed and the date when my bin will be removed.The day after it was to be removed, the new company brought their bin and their bin was set outside the garbage area, in my open parking. Nearly a month later, bin is still there occupying my parking and after multiple calls and escalations its still there and guess what: I got a bill for June!The most ridiculous circumstance! I was told Id have to call back and get it escalated to level two and if that doesnt work Id call back yet again to get issue escalated to level 3!!! Are they going to compensate me for my time? Ridiculous!!

If I could give ZERO stars I would but its making me give 1. This company is HORRIBLE. If you need a large waste container delivered dont waste your money here! call a different company! We paid almost $700 for a 40 yard container to be delivered on 5/2 the container was scheduled and paid for on Friday 4/27 and scheduled for delivery on 5/2. We were told by the customer service dept that they had till 6pm to deliver it. I called around 4pm and was on the phone for 2 1/2 hours....thats right 2 1/2 hours just to be told it wasnt going to be delivered and that they didnt have the online order that we placed. Although I had a confirmation email and they def took the money out of our account. lol what a joke!!! They said that the online company they use is 3rd party and that it didnt communicate with them to get the order placed? AND how is that my problem!! sounds like a company problem they have and I have lost money waiting on this to be delivered. Im def calling the corporate office to complain about the horrible experience with this company. Mr. Corona in the Arizona office was the ONLY employee who was able to offer me any help with this, everyone else just passed me along while i was on the phone 2 1/2 hours. Kudos to Mr Corona for knowing his stuff!

This Company is Horrible! Been lied to by Customer Service, Drivers and the like, next call is to Corporate in Arizona. Have had a scheduled bulk pick up for a week and the trash is still sitting there. Allied or Waste Management is a better choice and will probably be going back to one of them.

Unless you are Oscar the Grouch, you never really think about the garbage service until there is a problem, right? Our big blue trash can supplied by Republic was starting to crack and break and it slowly was getting worse. I kept on procrastinating dealing with this until the can was like almost cracked in two. Reading reviews online (Google /Facebook) i was preparing for the worst as I read stories of it taking weeks to get a new can. My experience was different..all i did was take a clear photo of the broken can, and sent it to republic via their Facebook page/ private message, asking them to take care of this. Long story short, within 48 hours it was done and I had a brand new can delivered at my house & they hauled the old one away. This was all done via Facebook private messaging. That would be my advice to the people; dont go old school and call on the phone; its 2016.. email/ contact online, and include PICS to prove your point about a badly broken/ cracked can to get a replacement. They took very good care of me and were highly responsive. Well Done, Republic.(especially Nicole) :)

Awful company, rotten service, rising prices, missed pickups, changes in schedule with no notifications. They have a call center you can call, but the only escalations they can make is to call the local office to tell them you arent happy -- the local office is where the losers are located that arent doing their jobs. They must just laugh when the call center tells them about an unhappy customer. Losers.

STAY AWAY! Do not use, even if you have no other options!Monday’s between 5-6am Republic Services is to pick up our garbage. We have been customers since the end of 2012, during this time we have had constant instances of being missed in both good and bad weather. We are only allowed one can of garbage - missed pickups - no adjustments on account.Most recently our pickup was missed on 2/11/19. We called that afternoon and were told it was due to “weather conditions” and the pickup would be Tuesday morning 2/12, leave the cans out on the road. This would be acceptable, except for the fact that this entire area did not have bad weather until Tuesday 2/12 late morning and throughout the remainder of day. Of course, no pickup on 2/12 so every day, sometimes multiple times per day, my husband called customer service. Every time he was told to leave the garbage out, somebody will pick it up. On 2/18 a rep told my husband that we should not have to pay for a week and she transferred him to another department to have the bill adjusted. He was supposedly transferred and conveniently the employee was whispering into the phone and then she hung up on him. He called back and there was no record of his previous call, another girl gave him an attitude and when he asked to speak with a manager she refused at first then transferred him to yet another person who was not listening to anything my husband said and kept repeating that the company is on a weather delay.This is absolutely the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. We finally had a pickup on 2/19. So from 2/5 - 2/19, they did their contracted job once. Furthermore, to make matters worse, we have a shared driveway with five homes. It is pretty far from the road down to our house. We could not keep pulling two cans up and down the hill every day, especially when we were told they would come before the end of the day, the next morning, etc. This inconveniences our neighbors due to the cans half blocking the mailboxes and/or driveway because we live on a country/rural road. One neighbor is contracted with a competitor of theirs and their garbage went twice during the time ours was sitting along the road. There is NO EXCUSE for incompetence.On 2/22 my husband called around noon to cancel our account. He was told billing will go thru the end of month, plus a $30 pickup fee for the garbage can.Plain math shows that “their” system should give us a 86.87 credit. However I pulled up account this morning and they have a $18.75 credit indicated.This is a scam.We cancelled due to their blatant rudeness, lies, games and inability to do their job. We should only pay for the 6 weeks of service we received over this quarter and should not be charged for them to pickup their can. At $350.60 per quarter, I should receive a check for $175.30You also need to know about another scam this company has pulled. We had been paying around $160/quarter. Without notification, or option to cancel service, effective 10/13/18 our billing went to $350/quarter. How is this even LEGAL??

What a bunch of clowns. Missed Pickups then they tore the entire door off of our dumpster enclosure with their truck. Nice. Cant get a phone call back, endless hours on hold....transfers....voicemail. A Total Circle Jerk with one person dumping it on the next person, but no one cares and no one does anything. Line disconnects. Commercial service is awful.....endless transfers. If you have a Business to run dont Use Republic you will spend hours on the phone. Clowns.

So when we moved into our place in the Galleria we had the damn trash truck coming into our place at 5:45am making so much noise picking up the large trash bin that it would wake up both my wife and I plus our 3 year old. After many times I was going to call and complain but weird it stop the day I was planning to make that complaint. Until tonight. Its freakin 3:35 in the morning. Our condo has had the worst service from this company for over 1 1/2 years. They miss our pickup at least once a month and one time they only came once in a 4 week period. We have called the headquarters in AZ and they have done NOTHING to fix the problems. They should not be in business!

We are moving on from this company, which provides a roller coaster of quality in its services. It has a very bad name in our part of New England. Many delayed pickups due to mechanical problems. And callers must wait an average about 20 minutes to talk to someone.

Very very bad service, the worst of the worst I live in an apartment complex in Palm Beach area , FL, this co has Recycling containers that are never picked up, they come and do one side of the complex and they do not go to the other side so all the The dumpster areas get really messy and they don’t care , I have called the Corporate office here in Palm Beach several times , they haven’t done anything cause the problem still persist,Nobody seems to care like it is no ones business
