I am a former employee and the owners are amazing! I cried the day I had to leave as I was moving cross-country. My manager, Stacy was awesome and made sure her staff followed protocol. I loved the clients and miss them all to this day. If you have someone you love and they have special needs, On Angels Wings is an amazing and safe place to take them for the day. They do weekly outings all over, they go to the park, play games, watch movies, interact in basketball and do so much more for them. They work on daily goals and help the clients with day to day social struggles. I miss working here!!!

I want to attend this day program but is it High functioning and does it do a lot of special olympics sporting events that they have to offer

There were plenty of job opportunities available at Angel’s wings, but because of the abundance of Milton in my skin they have yet to call me for the position I was offered. When they thought I wasn’t paying attention My would be co-works gave me a thumbs down 👎🏽before I can complete the application that (they gave me again) to refill out, so that 3-4 people could walk by just to see little old me... then the receptionist received a phone call from someone that caused her to look 👀 at me then say “it doesn’t look good”. I walk over to a different building to finish my interview process she gives me the job description where my client will be living, what areas I will be going to, and went out of her way to make sure I knew how far all my future clients will be. I was walked out after completing the interview. Where we meet the owner/coordinator. Not sure which one, all I can remember about that encounter of these two women is that I stuck my hand out to shake one, she refused it and made a face. I was really surprised by this considering how unprofessional she was dressed, and the lack of hygiene that I observed. Long story longer I never received my clients information after acceptance of the position. it has been months. But thank goodness😅... sad for the clients though they really would have benefited from my care.

Hello I have been an employee with this company for about 3 years and loving everything about this company. Very nice and caring people. Since I been employed I enjoy every single day working with the individuals. The staff are great and the DTA manager is AWESOME very helpful and willing to help and is very reliable. I love working with the individuals and like the day program structure. Very nice!! The DTA manager is always involve with the individuals and making sure that there happy. Also with the staff as well. I love working here and like helping others. :)

Absolutely unreliable! Never on time! Constantly have providers cancel at last minute, Never show up or say Not sure if they can make it If you are smart, DO NOT choose this agency!

My daughter, Hannah, has attended OAW since 2003, the year it first began!As of now, due to our moving to Avondale, she will not be able to attend OAW any longer! 😢When we moved to Phoenix in 2003, I looked diligently for the right/best place for Hannah! I was in constant Prayer that God be our guide and help us find the place He would have her be! It was OAW!!! When I met with Terri (love you, Terri!!) to talk, tour the place, etc, I knew this was the place Hannah was to be, and that God had prepared for her AND me!While ALL places have faults, inconsistencies, not-so-dedicated employees, etc, OAW tries their best to right the wrong and to better the environment, communication, and interactions for all!I have a strong bond and respect for everyone there! If I was there everyday, I am sure there would be some disappointments and things I would disagree with, but that is to be expected anywhere, and is totally natural!There are soooo many clients there now, and a huge increase in employees! I am sure difficulties arise regularly! Pray for them; stay aware and educated; get involved when and if you can; encourage them; thank them; and trust they are doing their best!Loving you all with Jesus,~ Linda ~

Well i am a former employee of a month and i would like to give a comment of my short lived employment with this company starting off with the transportation they use given i was a van driver and that was my only job with this place the vans they use some are in ok conditions others well for instance one van in particular sometimes it would turn off on me in motion very unsafe while it reeked of gasoline apparently this was not an issue because the vehicle is still in use as for the staff i was hired on by tara she seemed like a nice warm hearted person she is a little off during the interview she seemed to pass out on me a few times while interviewing me .weird. She is very unprofessional though i was told i was gonna be a ride along meaning i was just gonna be a tag along with a driver as they picked up clients that didnt happen long an employee decided to just give up being a driver to pursue the hands on part of the field only tara assured me i was gonna always be with a driver that i was never gonna be alone that i did not have to worry the employee who i assume is just an on call person due to him being able to call off last minute thru out the weeks that i had worked with him and as soon as we would enter the program he would fly out the door never did i see him given any grief for that so i just figured that he let me know that if i was ever left alone if he was not working to count on a client who knows the route pretty well that made me uncomfortable who counts on a client for the program managers lack of knowledge about how to train a new staff so the first day i seen him absent i double checked with the manager because i knew i was gonna be left alone without any notification well low and behold yes you will be alone it did anger me but i let the better of myself get ahold of me and decided to keep at it because i do not give up so easily unless a problem is beyond repair i cannot recall being introduced but i saw a woman by the name of lalani who i think is the assistant program director so she acted like she was nice the first day i saw her just by quick glares at her but that changed i was told by other employees because all i was told by tara was as soon as i pick up all the clients and return to the program i just wait till staff get in thats basically all im their for then i can leave but the employees let me know quickly because some nearly burned a hole in my head from how hard they examined me the first day that i was to sit with clients and not alone and chat with them exactly what i started to do not a problem so from that i started to see the changes in lalani just becoming disrespectful towards staff and clients if she was talking she would put up her finger towards the clients face and let them know she is talking with staff they need to wait till she is done talking that is not a proper way to handle that situation in my opinion if you do not know patience i feel working with people with special needs is not the field for you i sat with a client one day who spilt a small amount of water on the table i was unaware of it thats how small the spill was lalani passed by and demanded that i clean it up with unnecessary attitude i did i went for my check that week she had a stack i gave her my name she probably went thru the whole stack and whoever passed by instead of focusing her attention well on me because i was right in front of her and asked kindly and looking just for my name she handed the checks to whoever would walk by her so ten minutes later she told me i cant find it your gonna have to go next door allright then another day a client was being a bit touchy with other clients well if you force a client who does not like to sit still in all honesty i feel it should not be forced upon a client to sit in a circle with others but lalani was determined this client was friendly touching other clients she looked at me evil and told me to make him stop. i enjoyed the clients they were all friendly but lalani is uncivilized and tara hides in her office they lost a good employee.
