Great place for the elderly to get help with things they need

After calling beforehand, I had a quick paperwork dropoff

Reagan Smith has helped me on two occasions. Once a few years ago and the second time I called her she remembered my father and me! It is a difficult job being a caregiver and she understands. I like that she takes the time to get the facts and responds accordingly.The agency is a great source of information. Everyone is pleasant, helpful and friendly. I truly wish I had known to call them when my father returned home from acute rehab following a massive stroke in Nov 2003. Hindsight is 20-20 after all.I suggest to anyone becoming a caregiver to call the Area Agency on Aging to get all the information you can. Know your rights beforehand so no person or facility can take advantage. Doctors and administrators will never know your loved one like you do. If their employees cant be kind enouph to explain they are really sorry to be unable to answer a couple of simple questions. If nobody seen working cant even invite me back with even a statement they dont know when but it should be when everyone starts returning around Phoenix area for example saying sorry you could not find out so much as a single little thing about what they do or anything about the busy office. I shall return and post the results stand by for photos, reviews, and my ratings.

It is good in many waysBut its government control the taxes they take make it not worth the effort.

Excellent resource especially for clueless relatives of elderly. Ive called several times and each time Ive talked with Cynthia S. and she is beyond what anyone could expect in terms of knowledge, compassion, and guidance. This is a scary road for many of us and people like Cynthia help make things so much easier.

I am not David Howard. I want everyone to know that the AreA Agency on Aging is worthless. The ‘workers’ believe their job is to find a way not to help.
