At first I was skeptical because of the reviews but also we didn’t have a choice because of timing, so we went ahead and moved forward with United Metro. At the end of the day I am not sure why they have such bad reviews because we have had nothing but a great experience. Our start inspection handled with a breeze, United metro solved the issues we pointed out at the beginning just as promised. During the lease no issues and if we did email was easy to communicate and response was fast! During our final inspection it went with a breeze and I can say we got 100% our deposit back with no issues! Now here is the catch I believe that helped, per move out we hired a local company to carpet clean as stated in the lease inspection agreement and we also hired a company to clean the entire house when it was empty. What a relief it was and they did a great job which made it easy for the company and owners to give us our deposit back. We didn’t hang anything on the walls to help with this and quite honestly we used the golden rule, treat others the way you want to be treated. Renting is using someone else’s home so when you are done hire people to do a good job getting the house ready because if that was your home, you would appreciate that in return. All said and done, thanks to the team at United Metro for making a easy transition and if we needed to rent with you guys again we would with no issues!

Wow just wow is all I can say. I explained that I needed to get into a home as soon as possible for my child and I, and I asked a question about their homes that are posted for5, 000 rent when they called I was on my work phone and on the freeway going around the 51 in the spot around the mountains so the quality was poor it was breaking up rather bad as I was in the middle of explaining that my phone of course died. I pulled over to QT to charge and call back with my full attention and better quality. However when my phone turned back on I had a text from their company saying property no longer available. Clearly out of spite as it still shows available. When I explained the call situation she responded with k and then never responded again. I cant believe a company like this has the nerve to preach about how professional they are. I wonder if the owner of the home would be happy to know it will now remain not rented because of someone acting childish. SMH. I will be reporting them ASAP. With all screenshots and proof of entire call. Just ridiculous. I now am at risk of being homeless with my child. Wow.

BEWARE RENTERS AND OWNERS. Me and fiance put in an application paid in full proved all the info. HIS CREIDT SCORE IS 780 They send a text saying we dont make 5,200 combined and they deleted the application. We make 2 times the rent if it gets paid thats all that matters IN MY OPNION. Also We always pay our rent early and on time even through the pandemic remain employed full-time WHICH IS ACTUALLY 100$ LESS THEN WHAT METROS PROPERTY WASLISTED AS, MY LANDLORDS WHO ARE SELLING THE PROPERTY WHICH WE RESIDE EVEN WERE GOING TO GIVE A GOOD REFERENCE BECAUSE THEY LOVE US clean house always quiet people we are. We even offered a cosigner in the application i even called and emailed them to address that.. our co signer whom has an 800 credit score and makes 10x the requirement we offered dealing double deposit or 3 months rent also and move in cost even . Instead of calling me and talking about it, they shot out a text saying they deleted our applications even with the co signer stuff and money we offered.. and didnt care to address the fact we offered a co signer and double than what was required before this text was sent the obviously dont listen to voicemail or emails. They made it seem like their saints trying to give me a refund keep the refund you need it more than i do. Instead learn how to run a business properly and maybe teach your office staff to answer calls and make phone calls customer service classes are needed. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL VERY UN ACCOMIDATEING.

I have had my properties in the Phoenix area managed by United Metro for well over 15 years and during that time have been very happy with their knowledge, professionalism and integrity.For those of you who have never been a landlord, you must understand that it involves dealing with the public, most of whom are wonderful and others of whom are a total mess. After being a landlord for over 40 years now, I can easily spot a number of the total mess variety in many of these negative reviews.It is not my fault if you have bad credit. It is not my fault if you have poorly-behaved or untrained pets. It is not my fault if you were not raised by people who taught you how to take care of things and not cause damage to everything. It is not my fault if you are disorganized, and it is certainly not my fault if there are better applicants out there wanting the same property.With regard to damage charges, yes, you could have cleaned that oven for very little. You could have replaced the broken fixture for less. You could have paid less for the door you damaged. BUT YOU DIDN’T. And as a result, I as landlord am forced to pay not just for oven cleaner, or just a fixture, or just a door. I must pay for the time of someone to go buy oven cleaner, the time and mileage for them to drive to the unit, and the time to clean that oven, not even mentioning any value for MY time involved. Same with the fixture and door. Do YOU work for free? Well, surprise! No one else wants to either. So if you CAN fix it, DO fix it! That’s how I got all my deposits returned in the days when I was a renter.I occasionally do walk-throughs on my occupied properties just to stay in touch, and whenever possible, I ask the tenants how United Metro is doing. And in all those years, I’ve never had a complaint. In fact, any comments beyond “fine” generally relate to some issue that happened and how it was taken care of quickly and professionally.It’s been established that unhappy customers generally complain at least three times more often than happy customers give praise. So if you divide the unhappy reviews you see here by 3 and compare them to the number of favorable reviews, that says a lot, especially for a company who by definition has to frequently tell people “no”, or charge them for the damages from their bad behavior, or otherwise make them face the messes they may be.

One of the most unprofessional companies Ive dealt with. Glen is rude and curt. The properties I toured were absolutely filthy, littered with old food in the oven, cupboards, pet urine and feces, disgusting bathrooms, etc. Phone calls and messages go unanswered for days. Liz will eventually call you back only to tell you to call Glenn, who does not return calls, he will TEXT you and tell you to call Liz and then turn around and text, dont call Liz, she has nothing to do with anything. WHAT?!?!?!Renters...Is this the type of service you want when you need to call for a repair or issue? Homeowners...Is this how you want your properties presented to potential residents? Those looking for a management company should look elsewhere if they care anything about customer service and they definitely do NOT have your best interest in mind.Another thing should be noted here, read the other reviews. Their response to one gals review was to plaster her credit issues here!!! Just moved into my rental this holiday weekend!From the beginning its been a great experience-Liz was so nice and called me back every time-she even remembered where my son had started work that week. She is the one that gave me the news of winning the rental and sounded like she was super excited -just like I was! haha. Shes is super cool! I didnt see these reviews until after I won the house rental, then I did become a little nervous-just sayin, Glenn he did only text -we never spoke on the phone, (maybe hes not a phone guy-right) but when we met (and he was on time the day of inspection) sweet guy, he was thorough and answered all my questions. The house is clean all accept for some windows sills and there are a few things to address. When I called the main office before move in to figure out the online pay-they answered and the gal, cant remember her name now- she walked me through the process and was really nice too- my hope is that they will be responsive still after the move in and the items are addressed promptly. All in all- I am super happy and would recommend working with United. Remember- in business today- we see allot of bad reviews some things do happen. If more people that were happy with services wrote good reviews- that would be great!

I just moved into a rental in Prescott and I wanted to tell you what a great experience I had with your staff.The whole experience from looking for a rental to moving in was easy and stress free. Glenn, Liz, Easton and Cathleen were all so helpful! They were readily available, clear about the process, thorough, and super nice! I even received phone calls and text messages from them keeping me informed and up to date.I didn’t know what to expect because I’m from out of state and I was working with a company, but this was the best move in experience I’ve ever had!I love the townhouse too!Thank you everyone!

United Metro has managed my properties for over 10 years. I am an out-of-state investor. Couldnt have done it without them. They are honest, trustworthy, efficient and personable. Maintenance/repairs timely, leasing timely and accounting timely. Tenant violations handled carefully and timely. I always felt comfortable knowing that UM was taking care of my investment properties. The VP is fantastic! Knowledgeable & wise too. I did a 1031 so no longer with them. I highly recommend UM!

I was a bit unsure, since I had just contracted with a property management company that begun to close their doors, and United Metro decided to take on their clients. Ken, Justin, Glenn, and Angela were fantastic and responsive to inquiries. I havent been a landlord in over 12 years, and they guided me through their plans and process most efficiently! Their Maintenance crew, led by Jesse, was one of the most professional, responsive, and detail oriented crew that I, as a Stationary Engineer, have see in quite some time! Definitely an asset to the United Metro Team! When one appointed renter changed their mind at the last minute, Glenn had a better renter to me the next day for approval! They are making my experience so much more enjoyable and stress free! Thanks everyone!

Absolutely terrible property management. Extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone, and if you do they will not answer your questions. Working with them has been an absolute nightmare. The maintenance person screamed to us over the phone. Yes, literally yelled over the phone and said “its your problem” “that’s not my job” and “you do what you have to do.” I am very fortunate to know the owner personally and will be informing them of the unprofessional and disrespectful customer service from United Metro. Pay attention to the MANY negative reviews, and the extremely ridiculous replies that they are posting. Posting PRIVATE information about personal experiences, dates, and phone calls online is not professional at all. If you are an owner, I advise you to stay as far away from them as you can. As a tenant I can say we will be moving on from them as soon as we can, and I can guarantee with this type of costumer service, tenants will be more than happy to find another place rather than stay with unprofessional and rude people. With that said, save yourself from the dreadful experience and find a property management that is respectful, professional, and seems truly invested into making your renting experience more enjoyable.

I have three rental properties managed by United Metro dating back to 2005; they have provided overall excellent service. They are a full service firm and handle all aspects of the rental property process - applicant screening, repair, restoration, rent collection, advertising, etc. They alleviate concern and provide stellar service for a very fair price. However, what separates United from other services is the personal efforts and experience provided by the office management, leasing agents and maintenance crews - they are efficient, thorough, professional, dependable and diligent. They are responsive, conscientious, knowledgeable and helpful. United also seems to have high regard for both tenants and owners, treating both parties fairly and professionally. United Metro has provided a very solid and productive business relationship for over a decade which is deeply appreciated by an owner who is remotely located.

Renters Beware!!!! My fiance and I are excellent tenets and have never had a issue with getting our FULL deposit back. We lived in a rental from United Metro Property for 5 months barely unpacked because we moved from Florida and were looking to buy. The house we moved into was liveable but definitely needed lots of work. When we moved out we left the house in the same condition and they charged us for bu****it so instead of a full deposit which we should of gotten we received $400 less than. They also are hard to get ahold us best way is through text messages or email. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I called two weeks ahead of time to gain access to a property. My husband & I were THRILLED with the appearance of the house & had our hearts set on it. We immediately contacted United Metro and put in an application.I was told I would hear back within the next 2-3 days. 4 days later, I had to call them to check on the status. I was told that our application had been accepted (great - thanks for letting me know). Anyway, I was satisfied that I had gotten some information.4 days prior to move-in date:I asked what the next step was and GLENN SCHNEIDER told me that the owners might be installing a microwave (awesome - things are getting better).3 days prior to our move-in date, I was sent the lease. It had multiple errors and when I called to explain them, Glenn became very condescending & rude. I shook it off & kindly let him know that I would be happy to sign the lease when the errors were corrected & I had a decision on whether or not a microwave would be installed. (Is that so bad?)2 days prior to move-in date:I called (because I hadnt heard back) to check on the status of the microwave for I wanted to move in as much as he wanted me to! He responded telling me that he would have to ask the following day for maintenance had already left for the day. Cutting it close...but okay...1 day prior to move-in date:I was sent the lease again and asked to sign over email, but STILL had not heard back from Glenn. I called to ask the status & he did not return my call.I had been on top of everything that he needed from me from the get-go and his lack of communication ultimately pushed me away. I found a larger, cheaper, better house with a much more friendly and cooperative managing company. I called to let Glenn know that I was pursuing another property due to the lack of communication and apologized that we couldnt make things work. I then received a TEXT stating that a brand new microwave had been installed and he was glad that he didnt have to deal with me anymore. He also told me to learn some manners!EXCUSE ME?!?!A real estate agent, with a supposedly professional company, did THIS? I was appalled! I AM appalled.I truly hope no other prospect tenants or buyers have to deal with the level of unprofessionalism that this company, specifically this agent, exhibited.LOOK ELSEWHERE for another agency to handle your lease and buying needs.

Experience started off fine, until we viewed the property and raised questions. Property manager flipped a 180 and lost all sense of professionalism. You people are by far the worse in customer service I have ever dealt with and will be sure to let anyone and everyone I know of who is seeking new homes to walk away from you. If you cant handle questions from potential renters or home buyers Id suggest picking a different profession. Employees at Walmart treat their customers better than you.

We have been dealing this United Metro since early 2002 from the purchase of a property In Surprise, AZ to the management of same property until we sold it in March 2019. Glenn, Ken, Justin, Jesse and others have all have been responsive and held my hand while I was learning the going ons of being a property owner with no prior experience. We went thru three or four tenants in 17 years, some excellent and others not so ideal. They were there fulfilling their duties and contacting us as needed. The income came in faithfully every month. The year end statements came on time for tax filing as well. I have nothing negative to say about the team that assisted us.I would like to add that we had another property in Glendale, AZ managed by another company. The level of customer service did not compare to the excellent care we received from United Metro. When it came time to sell the Glendale property and the Property Management company we had been dealing with began dropping the ball, I called Justin Reiss and asked if United Metro would be willing to complete all maintenance and put the home on the market for us. Justin and Jesse stepped up and the home sold within a few weeks after completion of the necessary maintenance and placing it on the market. Communication was the name of the game.If I ever have a need for a property manager in the Phoenix area, I would not hesitate to contact United Metro again. Top Notch!

I recently moved out of a home I rented for a year and a half managed by United Metro Properties. From move in to move out I never had any major issues and the staff that I personally dealt with ( Kandi, Justin, Jessica, Nancy and Glenn) were all very nice and were always quick to respond to issues and questions. The online rent payment and maintenance request systems are easy to use and the few maintenance issues we had were addressed quickly. I would not hesitate to rent from United Metro again and will suggest friends looking for rentals to check them out.

I inquired on a property they had for rent and the lady they have directing the calls and setting up showings has no idea how to direct people to get reliable answers. It was extremely difficult to get any information past a generic answer. I take not renting a property from this management company as a huge win. I came to the website to get United Metros address, and saw 2 of 3 reviews were negative. I just want to say that Ive had a several years relationship with this property management company, as they are my elderly mother and brothers landlords, and I have had no negative experiences with them at all.All maintenance requests, such as replacing an older, leaking washer, are answered promptly. They replaced the washer with a brand new, high efficiency washer. My mom and brother have been living in this property for 15+ years (with other management for the first half+) and there have been only small and reasonable and infrequent rent increases, which we appreciate since they are on a relatively low and fixed income.Kandi and Jesse, the 2 employees that I have had contact with, have always been helpful and polite. We have had no problems at all and would not hesitate to rent from them or refer someone to them for a rental, or to manage their property.

I should have read the reviews before submitting the application. Do the homeowners know this is how their properties are being managed? No return calls, no return texts, no return emails. I am unsure how this business stays open. I do plan on submitting a complaint to the BB as well as the property management association, I know there is a fee but from all the same exact complaints it is time something is done. I also noticed the same response twice regarding Glenn, copy and paste. Poor way to do business. Also, the responses with LOL is beyond unprofessional. Who runs this company?!

I am a landlord that has used United Metro Properties to manage my properties for over 20 years.I know that the current management team and maintenance team is excellent. They are very responsive to tenants needs and Jesse, the maintenance supervisor, takes his job very seriously. On a number of occasions he has gone on his own time to make sure that the repairs are done in a timely fashion.On the rare occasion where there is is a delay in service it is because I did not get back to Jesse right away.Glenn Schneider the rental manager is very thorough and fair. Any information I need about an applicant is sent to me within a day. I know how unsettling it is for prospective applicants to get feedbackGlenn has always informed applicants for my rentals immediately after I let him know of my decision.So I was surprised to hear that a tenant and an applicant were dissatisfied with United Metro. I chalk that up to disgruntled people and not to United Metro.

WORST property management company. I would recommend every one to steer clear of this company before renting from them. They are very unperfessional. They will NOT speak to you over the phone and when they do they are very rude and short with their answers. They were not fair with move in or move out inspections and deposits. Glenn is not a customer oriented individual and is ignorant to speak with on the phone. He wants to do absolutely nothing to help you and does not want to answer your questions. The only reason this company can possibly continue to stay in business is because of the high demand for rentals at this time. That should not be an excuse for people to be treated like they are an inconvenience and bothering Glenn because they should be expected to know everything about the process or what they need to do I do not know how the owner of this company can keep Glenn around after all the reviews that have been left about him specifically. Must be a family member. I have a wonderful text message conversation with Glenn that shows his adept skills with clients. 0 stars on professionalism. Tried to schedule an appointment in ADVANCE for a unit that was not available for another FIVE days. The property manager was unhelpful and rude. All he wanted to say is that he was repeating himself that the property was not yet available... except it was posted online as for rent and available in only five days. The other companies I contacted were helpful and wanted nothing more but to help a potential renter. Disappointed as this was the townhome I was most hoping to rent. Also disappointed I had to tell a person in a professional career to work on his people skills.

I called the after hours number and left him a voicemail, he called me back in less than 5 minutes. My AC was fixed the next day around 2pm. You guys rock!

Ken Reiss I found very amenalbe to work with and likewise Justin when he took over.More recently I decided to sell a unit and Justin was very , very helpful as my realtor. This company is a bunch of scam artists. When we moved they told us we didnt have to be there for the inspection. We left the house in better condition then we got it in. Had the floors shampood and everything fixed up. They completely worked us. They kept our $800 deposit and sent another 1100 to collections. The charges were ridiculous for everything. We were missing around 5 of the vertical plastic blind slats and they noted that replacing those missing slats cost over $200. This is NORMAL wear and tear. These slats cost 99 CENTS at Home Depot. Bunch of scam artists. $50 for a missing toilet paper holder roll. Everything in the house was dirt cheap but I guarantee they purchased some nice things with my money. The things on their list were ridiculous. Fair warning. Do not rent from this company. Ive never posted a bad review in my life but this company deserves the worst. They charge you for your maintenance requests on things that are normal wear and tear. Ive never had such a bad experience living somewhere in my life. If you are residents of this company TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES WHEN YOU MOVE. They will screw you if you give them the chance. Lesson learned.

I called and left a message asking about a residence for rent. After almost a 24 hour period I finally received a call back. I told the woman that had called me that I was no longer interested in the residence. I had read many bad reviews about this company and I dont want to deal with a difficult management company. The woman on the phone YELLED at me and said GOD LADY YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. I hung up. Then a couple of hours later she called back and had no idea she had called me already.

I agree with all the negative comments on here about this pos company. I had the unfortunate circumstance of dealing with these unprofessional people for 9 months. They never answer the phone or return voicemails...On the very very slim chance you do get someone on the phone they are rude and condescending!! If you sign a lease from these CRIMINALS, they will find a way to make up bogus charges to pocket your FULL security deposit. By far the worst company I have ever worked with in my life. Steer clear of this super shady establishment!!In response to your unnecessary reply:There is no mention of needing to maintain any landscaping in my lease, however I did have the bushes professionally trimmed and pictures sent to United Metro upon moveout. My carpets were professionally cleaned, and as an Army Veteran I am fully aware of how to GI a place, and I left that townhouse spotless!!You all should be ashamed of yourselves...you bully tenants around, and your reputation is catching up to you with all your reviews on Google, Facebook, Yelp, and other sites where you average 1.5-2 stars out of 5 at best...SAD
