Took my truck in to have it inspected a few months back. Was told i had a head gasket leak. Paid for it and they said it was fixed..... Fast forward to months later. Went to change out air filter and noticed a few things wrong. Hoses not connected bolts missing. And the throttle body coolant line was bypassed and leaking which happens to be on the same side they said i had a head gasket leak... I do not recommend having your vehicle worked on here....

New service managers. Craig n Puna are gone. Been a 10 yr customer and they tried to charge me $77 for an oil change. When I pressed on the charge and told them I have never been charged that much before. He asked me what my last name was and looked me up in the system and he said oh, I kno what they did here. I never felt like I was taken advantage of with Puna and Craig. This time I felt like they tried. Service reminder sticker never removed and updated. I will be looking elsewhere for all of my vehicle needs.

I CAME HERE A COUPLE MONTHS AGO AND WAS TREATED GREAT BY THE MANAGER PUNA, NOW THAT I NEED A TUNE UP I CALLED BACK TO TALK TO HIM, I HAVE CALLED AT LEAST 4 TIMES BEFORE I WAS TOLD THAT HE WASNT AT THIS LOCATION ANY MORE. WHEN I ASKED STEVE/SCOTT WHICH STORE HE WAS AT HE SAID HE DIDNT KNOW. FUNNY WHEN I CALLED A DIFFERENT STORE THEY TOLD ME THE NUMBER WHERE I COULD REACH HIM. IN MY OPINION IT DOESNT MATTER WHERE A CUSTOMER GOES IN THE COMPANY AS LONG AS THEY SPEND MONEY AT THE COMPANY. NOT TO GIVE ME INFO ON WHERE I COULD FIND SOMEONE WHO I TRUST IS PETTY AND PATHTIC. I WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION AGAIN

I always take my car here. These guys are good at locating a problem fast. Fair and reasonable prices. Theyre honest too, wont try to sell you fixes and maintenance you dont need.

I had been going to this Sun Devil Auto location for years before I moved. Quality work and reasonable prices. They worked on 3 of my vehicles for everything from transmission repair to coolant pump and routine services. Highly recommend for an honest mechanic shop and local business.

I received a coupon for a free a/c check and couldnt even make a appointment! So mad!! I have 5 kids and drive a hot 2001 chevy suburban with no a/c! Thanks 4 the help, lol!!!

Very poor customer service ! 2 separate appointments, to separate complaints and issues with this place.I called 2 days in advance for simple oil change. When I arrived on the day of my appointment, I was told there were no appointments available. Why would I call 3 days in advance for an appointment, only to be told there are none available ridiculous !Never heard of such a thing. Whats the purpose of making an appointment. This isnt the 1st time weve had trouble with this location, the last time was due to an air conditioned problem on our vehicle. They courted us over $1700. I went elsewhere in got a fix for $256. I totally do not recommend this place for anything!!Then to top it off, the service counter guide once to stay in there and argue with me over it. I will never be back to this shop again

Had to give one star to leave a review. I was told to come at 8AM to get a transmission fluid flush. Its take about 4 hours tops. Its now almost 5 and guy tells me they didnt get to it but can get it in and done by 5! Wtfudge! Nope. I suggest looking else where.

Decent price for an oil change and free tire rotation. However, be careful because they tried to scam me by telling me I need new brakes AND ROTORS because it’s a newer model car and it’s standard to change rotors every time you change your brakes. Luckily, I know better than that and knew they were trying to rip me off. They said it would cost me $360 to change my brakes. When I heard that price, I thought they must be joking!? Be extremely careful when getting your car worked on here.Updated from 2 stars to now 1 star:I just took my front and rear wheels off to inspect the brake pad. Both brake pads have half of pad left on both sides. DO NOT GET ANY SERVICE DONE AT THIS PLACE! Now I’m concerned if they even know how to change oil in a car. They will try to rip you off!

The worst place Ive ever been to take my vehicle no communication at all

It was late Friday afternoon and my battery died. They got me right in and had me on my way with my kids in no time. I really appreciated the service.

I needed something fixed on my Honda Fit by the end of the day so I could go somewhere in the morning and the guys at this shop helped me out on short notice in the last hour of their day even though they were busy. Thank you very much.

AVOID THIS SHOP!!This shop is disrespectful and dishonest. I came in for a simple coolant flush, I had just replaced the water pump and wanted to ensure that the system was free of air. Shortly after dropping the truck off I receive a call stating that they are having issues bleeding the coolant system due to an unknown blockage. They wanted $115 to disassemble and diagnose the problem. I reluctantly agreed. A couple hours after that they call again, now they are claiming the problem was a bad thermostat. This isnt shocking to me, I have a lot of experience working on vehicles and its not unheard of for a cheap autozone thermo to be bad out of the box. Heres the problem. The guy wants $524 to put a new thermostat in!! He says the part is $100 (theyre $44 at oreily, and $27 from rock auto) and labor is the additional $200?? You mean the reassembly labor that I already paid for as part of diagnosis? Or is this place so shady that they really meant to charge me $115 with reassembly not included? Now since I denied letting them rob me blind on a 10 minute job theyre taking the rest of the day to put the truck back together (with no thermostat at all!!) whenever theyre done I get to pay them $215 for wasting my time and treating me like a fool.

I brought my car in for routine maintenance and was able to go home knowing that there was some work to be done on my car. They didnt try to pressure me into getting it done there, which was a nice change. I will definitely be bringing my car back for repairs and maintenance!

Puna is a very wonderful person, he went above and beyond to give me the absolute best service possible, he worked with my schedule and did everything he could to ensure that my vehicle would be returned to me in high quality working order. Went in for a check engine light, $1300 later,told truck was ready, went to pick it up turned it on and check engine light was still on and now vehicle shutters and wants to turn off. But now the problem is a sensor,$200 more for a problem that should have been fixed the first time for $1300, it was part of the same issue. $1500 mistake for using them.

We showed up early for an oil change hoping to get squeezed in. The guy at the counter made it seem like he would get us in. We decided to walk around downtown while we waited and came back a little over an hour later. The guy then tells us our appt wasnt for two more hours and they hadnt touched the car. He couldve just said that we wouldnt be seen until our appt time and we wouldve come back then. No one wants to sit and wait 3hrs for an oil change. He then told us we could go somewhere else and we did. Terrible customer service. Ill add there was not one other customer in the shop. Not sure what the hold up was.

I was really liking sun devil auto until today! I was told 2 days ago to pick my car up on Thursday so I dropped my rental off and spent extra money to take a lyft to get here and then they walk away for 10 mins just to say it isnt ready??? Im now stranded thanks to you guys! Never coming back after this, very inconvenient and unprofessional.

I was literally there on Friday to get an oil change. They asked me if Id like them to rotate my tires as well. I even double checked with the guy and asked if that meant checking the tire pressure as well, he said yes. Its now Wednesday and my tire pressure light came on. I checked all my tires and theyre all below 30, no way theres a leak so Im assuming they didnt do it. From now on Ill get my tires done at discount tire and let these grease monkeys stick to changing my oil.

Whole family brings their vehicles here! Staff is very informative, not pushy if you need work they let you know, give you a quote & let you make the decision. Other places I have gone make it sound like my vehicle will blow up upon pulling away, but here they tell you what needs to be done, the severity of it and allow you to make the decision. Staff is friendly and clean facility!

Well i am going to keep it simple...i took my car in it had 6 codes but ran fine and has ran fine for a couple years. I had this shop perform a tune up. Also with cleaning the throttle body housing and the fuel system they also said they would do the air filter to. well after the two hours went by the time it was suppose to take to fix it when i pay and start to drive off i notice that the Idle is about 1000 rpm more then usual. I turn around go right back explained the issue. they took and looked at it right away. They colaberate for a short time and then proceeded to tell it was faulty equipement. The only fault was thiers, I brought it in the same way i picked it up with the acception that the idle was messed up. it happened while they had it they even put on the reciept that the owner wanted tune up due to the mileage not because of any issues. The manager recieved my email today and he called me and appologized and said he would do a in store credit and I said ok with my discount or credit tell me how much it would be to put shocks on my car and I said put my credit towards that and give me a quote. They never called back .

Ive been to this location a few times now and Im never disappointed with the service I receive. Craig is great. He is knowledgeable and very will to explain things you may not fully understand. Another service center looked over my vehicle and gave many recommendations, graded my brakes lower, and suggested over 2K in work...that doesnt need to be done. Craig that the guys in the shop checked out my car today and eased my mind. You really feel like you can trust this shop, and thats hard to come by.

While visiting my daughter last week I called around for potential oil change locations for her car. Sun Devil was priced right and they seemed to be booked pretty solid with appointments so that told me a lot about their service and quality. Scheduled an appointment, got there 30 minutes early and they completed the process very promptly and thoroughly. The staff is very knowledgeable and customer friendly. Revisited the next day as my daughters tire treads were different from front and back, they made some noise and pulled to the right. Sun Devil staff offered to switch them back as they were prior to the oil change. They graciously switched them back within moments of my arrival and car movement was back to normal (cause: tire tread difference). Very, very, very customer oriented. Will refer to others and return.

I had an appointment and I was running 5 minutes late, so I called to notify them of the delay. When I arrived, I again apologized for the delay and I was rudely informed that “they will get to it when they can.” It took 4 hours for them to finish the oil change.In addition, I had my baby girl was with me and it was very difficult to keep her patient for 4 hours.It’s a crummy place with crummy people working there.

This was my first experience with Sun Devil Auto, It will not be my last. From the moment I picked up the phone I was treated with respect and kindness. Puna informed me of different options for service, mentioned a coupon I could use due to the amount of work I was requesting and took the time to tell me he looked forward to earning my business. Outstanding. I even called my dealers service center and confirmed that, as I informed, the same services thorough them were double the price!Drop-off was a friendly and professional breeze. He called several times during the day. First to let me know that some of the items I wanted checked out where in good working order and that they recommended a regular 30K mi service that was long overdue and updated the service quote for me so there would be no surprises. Then when he called to let me know the car was done. When I arrived there WAS one surprise that was bill-related. It turned out to be $100 less than originally quoted. There were a couple of services my car didnt need so they didnt charge me for them. They also threw in the inspection since I was having other work done. It was simply the most pleasant experience I could have had with an auto shop. We will be taking both our vehicles to Sun Devil Auto from now on!

The shadiest place ever. Single mom takes her car to check engine light. It took them more than 3 hours to tell me that it was catalytic converter. I knew that. They say they can fix it for eight-hundred dollars. Not just that also they will charge me one-hundred and fifhteen for checking the engine light. All that after they check it. I found a place that will charge $180 for everything. Maybe it was my mistake for not asking the price of checking the engine light. Advice just go to Auto zone they will do it for free..

He gave the best customer service I have ever experienced and made me feel like a VIP customer. I was in and out in in just minutes, at a lower price than anywhere else Ive been, and no surprise charges. Very straightforward, and as a person who is not car savvy, I appreciate people/businesses that do not take advantage of me. This is definitely going to be my go-to auto shop from now on!

Amazing customer service! My battery tested bad while I was getting my oil changed, and instead of forcing me to replace it, the staff reminded me to check my warranty first. Luckily my battery was still under warranty which saved me a lot of money! Im extremely grateful for their honesty and helpful attitudes.

I called to get a quote on how much it would be to get the breaks done for the front and back of a 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback. I was quoted 135.00 front and 135.00 for back. I already have Original Nissan parts that I purchased from the nissan dealer and asked how much it would be for them just to put them on? He stated it would still be $135.00. Seriously? The dude I spoke to on the phone had an attitude... as if I was bothering him. Mind you, just moved here and I this is the first impression...not good. Just go to Kelly Clark. They have way better customer service, charged less and guaranteed their work in witting even though I had my own parts.

Good customer service, but to replace a connector and a hose cost me $230 in labor costs alone. Definitely could have got it done for much less somewhere else. Cheap oil change though which is nice but will not be back for repairs at these prices.

Fast and thorough work.

A few years back I took my 2001 Nissan Altima there because I had power steering fluid drops in my driveway. A mechanic there told me that I needed a new power steering pump which was going to cost in the neighborhood of 7 or 8 hundred dollars. Not wanting to spend that much money just before Christmas, I asked one of my brothers what their thoughts were and it was decided that since it just may be a bad hose or loose clamp that I should get a second opinion. One tightened clamp later... problem solved. 7 years later car ended up being in a flood with same power steering pump in now totaled car. Your mom’s should wash all of your mouths out with soap for all of the lies you tell just to make a buck.

My car needed service pronto. They got me in next day and fixed all my issues to my satisfaction. I am a working professional and dont have time to work with shade tree mechanics. 4 hours of work on my vehicle and I am running great.

The most patient and understand people I’ve taken my car to. Everything Craig told me had to go through my dad so there was a lot of back and forth and he was very understanding and gave me the best customer service. I’ve heard horror stories of mechanics trying to rip you off but I absolutely trust Sun Devil Auto

These guys are great! We bring all 3 of our vehicles here for the routine maintenance. They are truthful and honest about the work they do. In the last three years we have been going here we have never had a negative experience and never once felt mislead.

I was sent there from a different Sundevil location where they didnt have the tools to do an alignment for my car. I had already got my quote from the first location and confirmed with them that its gonna be the same. Upon arrival the service rep Ryan doubled the price, when I asked him thats not what they initially said, he goes this is a speciality car requring a special tool which I have, and clearly you went somewhere else and they couldnt fix it so you have no choiceI asked if he was sure he can do it, and he said yes. I left the car there, I get a call two hours later him telling me he couldnt do it, his tools didnt work.Not only they were very unprofessional and disrespectful with the way they treated a consumer, they also were incompetent and wasted my time.Will definitely not go there nor advise anyone to do so.

Wont be going to this Sun Devil. I spoke with a representative who tried to tell me my SES light (which is on, meaning I need an oil change or routine scheduled maintenance) and my CEL (check engine light, which is not on) were the same thing and that something was wrong with my car.He was pretty arrogant and spoke over me the whole time.I dont appreciate that as I feel, with his delivery/tone, that it was implied I didnt know what I was talking about- despite it being in *very* clear verbiage in the users manual (not to mention, basic knowledge everyone should have of their vehicle). I tried to communicate that, but got talked over and dismissed.It was an obvious money grab for an unnecessary diagnostic and who knows what else. Very poor form for customer service.

I called for information on a repair on the guy was not very helpful. He was not interested in finding out the information iI needed and told me I had to come in to ask. Then changed his mind and said give me your name and number I wll check and call you back. He never did call me. So I called another shop, different company all together, founf out what I needed and took my vehicle to them.

This place must be under new management because it’s complete night and day when I was there last year till now. horrible customer service,they said they fix the problem and it was the intake manifold or vacuuming too much air was getting into the engine and they said that it was fixed then it still continued to break down. I go back to next morning the guy said oh no it’s completely normal is the computer resetting well it started breaking down again. I took it back we finally found the issue which should have been found in the first place if they where doing there job! The new thing they found wrong is of course much more expensive, go figure. Plus the work they did on it they didn’t even do right the vacuum they replaced slipped off and the truck wasn’t starting. we had to do it ourselves! Didn’t even offer a refund. Never would have gave the go ahead to do the work if it wasn’t going to fix the issue.
