3rd time there in the past 2 weeks to have the air fixed in my Prius. Approximately $200 for a new valve and freon, which did not work. Today we were told that after 3 tries, they cannot find the issue and to take the vehicle to a Toyota dealership to find the issue and then bring it back. Utterly frustrating. I understand I had an oil change as well, thats fine, I dont mind paying for that, however, still a waste of money on the a/c recharge, which did not work

I just moved to town so I was looking for a good nearby mechanic. Very pleased with the ease of scheduling and drop off, and even more pleased when the technician called me to tell me that certain things I thought I needed were unnecessary and that he was able to repair certain items without replacing. Im not used to that kind of integrity from the shops I dealt with in Chicago.

Clean shop, fast work, but beware of pricing. The first job I had done here was for an oil pressure sensor on my vehcile which they quoted me about $240. I didnt have a problem with that price since I had called around other shops and they had one of the best overall prices for that repair and got me in that same day. As for my second visit it did not go as well. I came in for a squeaking I had coming from the engine bay. I had them look at it and they advised me that the problem was an idler pulley and my serpentine belt also needed to be replaced. They quoted me $400, which I felt was pretty high. I did some research on google for average prices for replacement of those parts for my vehcile and also got quotes from other shops. I must say I feel that they tried to take advantage of me by trying to charge me double what other shops were quoting. I called Sun Devil Auto and they quoted me $250, I also called Half Price Auto and they quoted me $150, while these guys were trying to squeeze out an extra $250 out of me! Overall I think the guys are good workers but their pricing needs work. If you do decide to get work done here, be sure to shop around first.***Update***Just took my car to Half Price Auto and they said that what was squeaking was actually my fan in the engine bay and not my idler pulley. If I wouldve went with the recommended repairs that Japanese Auto Pros suggested I wouldve basically flushed $400 down the toilet because replacing the idler pulley and serpentine belt were not the culprits. Now Im frusturated with this company because they charged me $75.00 for the inspection but didnt even do a good job. I would avoid this shop.

Only reason for this star rating is because I called this company and was told they do body work on my vehicle type, however when we got there someone explained they don’t do body work at all. Disappointed

TN and his crew over a Japanese autopros are all you need if you have a Japanese car that needs attention. True story, I just had a turbo go out on my 2015 Nissan juke and was quoted upwards of $3,000 to have the work done by some other places that dont even specialize in Japanese cars. Did it and did it perfectly right for $900 less than I was quoted elsewhere. And that included finding a couple of other things that needed done that he just did because hes thoroughly devoted to attention to detail. Japanese Auto pros, you guys rock!!

Fair priced and always a great and honest service.

I took my car to this shop. First I was told they cleaned the Oil off the solenoid and that would Fix the issue with the car getting stuck in 3rd gear, they informed me that as $80, but they would guarantee the work if I replaced the solenoid for $700. A week later I returned the car after already paying $80 and now paying another $800 for the replacement that took 2 weeks due to the part being ordered. The day I got the car back the car still had the same issue. I returned the car and informed them of the continued issue that only became worse than before. I also took a video of the problem with time and date stamp. I was told the transmission was shot and they would need to replace it for $2700. I would never return a car to this place, and I was never offered any sort or remedy after paying all this money for something that only became worse after they ‘fixed’ it and Guaranteed the work.

So my husband took my Nissan Altima here to get a repair on our exaust pipe which had rusted and broke in half. These guys were professional and took good care of our car , it was straight piped before and was really loud , but now my car is back to normal and drives like a new car , really recommend this place the price was good and they didnt take too long either . Excellent mechanics! Most importantly, HONEST and fair. I had to tow my old (240k miles) car to their shop, it was my first time doing business with them. Gave them recent history and another mechanics diagnostic pointing to a potential time belt adjustment or replacement (which seemed premature, by the way). They took a look at it, and it turned out it was the crankshaft position sensor. They checked the timing marks and made sure everything was OK. They could have hit me with a new timing belt, tensioners, etc., but NO! They are skilled AND honest. Imagine that. Definitely going back. THANK YOU!

I took my wifes 2006 Toyota Corolla to fix the a/c. When the car was completed she was going down the freeway when the car stalled. I troubleshoot the car and figured the battery was bad. I went and got a new battery and she was on her way. My wife only uses the car like once a week. Well three weeks later she is stranded again. Again I realized the new battery was very low so I tried to jump it but it would only start and die. I had it towed to a reputable garage. The guy charged my new battery and showed me how one alternator connection was not hooked up. It seemed that in order to work on my a/c, which sits below the alternator, Japanese Auto Pros had disconnected the wires to the alternator and forgot to hook one of them up. Their mistake cost me a new battery and the tow truck fees. The reputable garage that found my problem charge me $0 to charge my battery and trouble shoot and install the loose alternator connection. I will never take my car back to Japanese Auto Pros. Their mechanics sure dont pay attention to detail.

Paid for an car inspection prior to purchasing the vehicle. Explained to gentleman when the brakes was press the car would shake. He stated not for him. The bushings needed to be replaced took the car to another shop. This was a $85 rip off

New to the area and went here to address an issue with my Nissan. Was a major repair. They gave me a fair price and exceeded expectations in completing the work. Found my new repair shop in the neighborhood.

I have a 1996 Honda del Sol SI. I found Japanese Auto Pros using google about 5 years ago when I got tired of corporate prices from Firestone and being just another customer. Japanese Auto Pros have replaced my engine, AC, hoses, radiator and many other parts for low costs. I’ve also had all fluids flushed for a smoother ride! They know my car and I always trust them with their recommendations to keep my car running for another 10 years. This car is my baby and recently I have been in two fender benders. Japanese Auto Pros was able to save my classic from being totaled twice now so that I keep the value and clean title and even repainted the whole thing for an additional reasonable price. These guys have a lot of intellect and heart when it comes to taking care of business. I will never throw my money away at a corporate auto shop. Thank you guys so much!Miguel

I bought an Acura CL and found out that the headlights didn;t work. I talked to one place and they wanted $1200 to fix them. I took it to Japanese Auto Pros and they fixed them for under $700 and they work great. These guys are always friendly they listen to my problems and get the work done on time and at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

Took my 1990 nissan 300zx to the shop, told them about the missing fuel regulator and other problems. They added the fuel regulator and rewired the injector cables. After picking it up from the shop the car started to act worse than before, it began to overheat and it completely died on me aswell. They told me the car is good and that it just has a clogged cat, they offered to change them for $450. However I went to a muffler shop to change old cat to a new on, turns out it was not the cat and the car is acting the same as it came out the shop. I guess they even forgot to install the fuel damper, they just covered it with some plastic.

760$ to replace all three motor mounts on a Honda CR-V. They did it well and also found out three of my four rims are bent. Thank you to everyone that worked on my vehicle.They also replaced my broken axle and replaced my wheel bearings. Went here after my car started shaking and check engine light was on. I was not sure where to go however i checked the google reviews and went here at the first place, called them and went to drop my car around noon. Staffs sounds really good, i had a small debate about the charges though they made clear that the charges for diagnosis wont get charged if I repair with them, which i agreed. Hope they did a good job with the car, but i of course had a good customer experience with them.

Ive been coming here for several years and the reason is that Kevin and Tien are honest and the prices are very fair. Plus they are just nice people to do business with. Its really just that simple. Well, another thing that I like is that they do everything. By that I mean that the shop does more than mechanical work. For example, they did the window tint for one of my cars, buffed the headlight lens for another.

They were quick to fit me in, took good care of me, even letting me know my tail light was burned out. They fixed my car well, and were reasonably priced. I would recommend them to anyone. If you pay cash, they give you a 5 percent discount. Great customer service!

I didnt like the return policy. Especially because they sold me a broken $100 a/c compressor. Which left me with $70 store credit. When I tried to get a new one they said they had no more. Booo

I called Japanese Auto Pros when I ran into issues changing my Toyota Avalon valve cover gasket (smoking out of the exhaust). They recommended a tow company, had it there, diagnosed it, and fixed it the very next day. Couldnt have been happier and I didnt feel that they overcharged for the job they completed. Thank you!

Great place for oil change auto repairs. But air conditioner freon and radiator flush are to expensive.

We have taken our cars for alignments several times and for some reason it is never done right we took our 99 Toyota Corolla here just recently and we were told that the alignment was done correctly but the car was still pulling and the steering wheel was not straight because supposedly we had a bad tire that wasnt balanced we had just gotten new tires couple weeks before that however we did take them back to the shop where we bought them to have them checked and they were balanced already they were put on the machine and we saw the results and they were perfectly balanced so we took the car back for them to check it again and still they couldnt get the wheel straight or stop the pulling because supposedly now we had a bad strut so then we had new struts replaced on the front the manager Act Japanese Auto told us to bring it in and he would align it for free once we replace the struts so we took the car back on Thursday but when we went to pick the car up we were told once again that the alignment was fine but the car was still pulling because of either a bad tire or a bad strut they use this excuse every time we take the car there and complain that the alignment is incorrect they just dont seem to know what theyre doing the tires were fine the struts were installed correctly I dont know what is going on with them but we are never going to go there again they blame everyone else but themselves. I would advise other people not to take their car to them this is the third and last time we will take our car there because this is the third time we have tried to get the alignment correct it is still pulling in fact it is pulling worse now than it was before so we are going to have to pay again to have it aligned were going to take it to another shop mechanic who we have known for years the only reason we took it to the Japanese Auto was because they were a new business and we wanted to try it out but we are seriously unhappy and will not go there again the last thing that I want to mention is when I picked up the car the radio was not on I couldnt hear any sound so I turned it up as far as it would go no sound I couldnt get it on or to play anything and I called the shop and mention this to them and I was told that first that he turned the radio down and then that he turned it off and my reply to him was theres no reason for you to be touching the radio at all and luckily my husband was able to get it to work again but that is really unprofessional the radio is not loud they did not need to turn it on they didnt to touch it at all so in short they dont seem like they know what theyre doing they come up with all kinds of excuses for the reason why their work is not done correctly and we are very disappointed

I appreciate their integrity. While I was there today there was a man who has tire problems, but rather than tell him he needed new ones they repaired his tire and told him to wait 6 months because he didnt need new ones yet. They could have pushed him to spend, but instead treated his car like it was their own and didnt advise any work they wouldnt do on their car.

I had my reservations about this place when I first dropped my Nissan off because the manager or whoever that was behind the front desk that first looked at my truck said that it had a carburetor (which it definitely has fuel injection) and then he miss-identified the idle screw for the air/fuel mixture screw. Fortunately, the managers employ mechanics that know a great deal more about the vehicles then they do, and whoever worked on my truck did a fantastic job and it was not that expensive at all. I will definitely be returning here when needed and I have recommended this place to friends and family

One of the few honest mechanic shops Ive ever been too in my life, they have always had excellent service at resonable times. I started going to them when i was 16 and In the last 11 years they have treated me well, worked with me from when I was attempting to restore my old junker (Which they at numerous times advised me to sell it and get a more reliable car. Which I should have listened too and if I would have listened it would have lost them thousands in revenue.) I could go on about all the times they have worked with me and helped me since I started driving but its pointless, the two most important things in a mechanic is workmanship and honesty and Ive found no one better in the valley and I doubt I will.

About six years ago, I had my radiator hose blow on I-17 and came here by chance. Japanese Auto Pros had my car working within 2-3 hours. Ever since then, we come here for all our repairs.Once, I was told that I needed a new engine for my Sentra, and fixing the head gasket was not an option. I found this hard to believe because my car had never actually overheated and it was barely over 100K miles. Japanese Auto Pros fixed my head gasket for about $1100 and the car ran great until I sold it years later.They are also conservative before recommending expensive repairs. When my Toyotas check-engine light went on, the diagnostic code said it was the transmission. Japanese Auto Pros looked at the transmission, and they did not see anything wrong. They recommended watching and waiting. One year later, there have been no issues and no repeat warning lights.This spring, we were told by the dealer that our 10 year old Toyota would need $2200 worth of repairs. Japanese Auto Pros evaluated the car and completed the same repairs for less than $750.We are very pleased with the quality of their work, their honesty, and their prices. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a mechanic.

They are straight up with you about what’s wrong & if you need it fixed ASAP or can wait on it. They go the extra mile & really give you more than what you pay for. Great place to get your car repaired: and here is why, after purchasing a used vehicle from a small lot, the dealer told me his mechanic says there is a small radiator leak, and a grinding noise that is the power steering pump, which may fail now or last long. As the water leaks increased during the last heat wave, I had to get it fixed, with an estimate of $450 to R & R the radiator and hoses, when I picked the vehicle up, they had good new, there is not a radiator leak at all, the water pump is slowly failing, and squirting a small amount on to the radiator, and the grinding noise was the failing water pump, not the power steering pump. Total bill $290.00. Honesty and good mechanical work. The potential for a fraudulent, or mistaken over charge, of both the pump and radiator were bad, was ripe in this instance, and the auto pros, at Japanese Auto, stayed on the high road, all the way to the top! Thanks guys.

They told her she needed new struts, new front brakes, and new front rotors. They quoted almost $3k, and they were going to use aftermarket parts also.I told her to call Kevin and get a quote. He used OEM parts, had it done in less time, and less than half the price. JAPANESE AUTO PROS rock! THANK YOU KEVIN!!!!!!

Not at all happy with my experience. Went away from my normal mechanic because I was buying for time and this place was near my house. Told them I had a drivers side wheel bearing going out. They told me it was not it was a loose axle nut. Took it home it was still howling. Took it back they said it was a carrier bearing. Told me the noise was gone. It was exactly the same! Nobody could not hear the grind! Almost 500$ and didn’t fix anything. Got parts I didn’t even need. Took it to my normal mechanic, problem was my drivers side front wheel bearing. Just like I told them!! Never again. They may of guessed wrong, however the fact they told me it was fixed and no way possible any person could honestly say that because of the unbelievable noise is very unprofessional and dishonest.

Of ALL the car mechanics Ive worked with, these guys are the most honest about their recommendations. Their prices are fair. Their work is top notch, with no issues to follow. Theyve even done some free stuff for me here and there. I literally have zero negative things to say. Especially if you have a Toyota, Kia or other Japanese made car, these guys know them very well.

I rate them a 2 only because they were nice and the place was clean. However, my car had problem, after problem and was never getting fixed. I took it to them 2 or 3 times and issues kept repeating. When I took it some where else all issues were solved 5 months now and my car still runs great.
