I just left this location after a wax service and wanted to be sure to leave a stellar review! The entire staff were kind and extremely efficient. I saw Selena and she was amazing! She addressed any concerns I had, offered great advice, not to mention a nearly painless experience. She was so personable and made me feel completely comfortable. I can’t recommend her enough! I want to personally acknowledge the professionalism and attention that the receptionist, Tara, displayed. I was running a few minutes late to my appointment and missed the 9-minute grace window. Tara politely and clearly explained my options for rescheduling and swiftly found me an appointment the same day with the same waxer that perfectly fit into my schedule. Ive visited several different European Wax Center locations, but none of them had receptionists as understanding and patient as Tara. Shes truly a star, and Im always delighted to see her face when I have an appointment! I know that all my customer needs will be met so that I can actually have a gorgeous day! Thanks Tara!

I had my first brazilian wax in here and didnt feel welcome (reason why Im trying another place to get my second wax). The lady doing the wax didnt explain anything about how the process would be, she just told me to lay down and didnt give even me privacy to remove my pants. She started doing it and when she pulled the strips she barely put pressure on. The whole process was a complete torture. The wax was extremely hot (more than what it is supposed to be I believe) and I just didnt feel comfortable. She kept asking if I was okay but I just didnt want to talk because of the pain. Waxing is hurtful and well l still appreciated her effort in trying to make it painless.

I love them. They are so nice and very professional. I love to see the diversity as well. Made me feel very down to earth and comfortable about waxing.

They I agree I had Selena for the first time and she was wonderful she made me feel comfortable laugh she got all the hair from everywhere and it was over very quick I will come back to her every time, management was great even the front desk gave excellent service

I walked in, on time for my appt and was coldly told that my infant was a liability and couldnt go in back with me because they didnt want him bumping around the equipment and get hurt. MY 2 MONTH OLD!!! When I asked how my infant was a liability, sleeping in his stroller, she just stared at me and said nothing. I walked out. Went to BRAZILLIANS BY CLAUDIA IN MANAYUNK and it looked better, smelled better, customer service was WAAAAAAY better and the prices were better then this place! They let me bring my infant as long as he was in his stroller. European wax center WONT EVER SEE ME AGAIN!

Yesterday I went in for my first Brazilian wax and it was overall a nice and pleasant experience, the woman who waxed me was very nice and thorough in explaining what she was doing and she even made me feel comfortable. Honestly, if not for the woman who waxed me, I don’t believe I’d be coming back.HOWEVER... The man at the front desk in my opinion came off very rude and disinterested, over the phone he seemed to have an attitude and in person he seemed the same way and he even charged me full price for my wax even though it should have been half off for my first time wax experience there. If I’d have to guess I’d assume it was purposefully based on his overall attitude and I would have said something then but I didn’t realize until after I got back home which sucks...That being said, overall, I like this place and will be returning for my next wax but if that man is there next time he’s probably going to have to hear my big mouth for that charge!

This was my first time at European Wax center at first I was hesitant but when I got there I loved the energy, the young lady’s at the desk was very professional! The service was amazing !! Nandi was my wax specialist she was soooooo respectful ! So nice ! Fast and got all my hair removed even explained to me there products and what there used for she was sooo helpful I’ll definitely be going back !

I got my first Wax and Karen was awesome although, for a full Brazilian wax; I shouldn’t have any hair left in the back and I do. That’s discerning for the amount of pain it was smh.

I had come on my lunch break checked in and was told to come to the door well... the door was not opened so I went back to sit in my car for a few minutes while waiting when I came back to the door they told me She canceled my reservation after 9 minutes... but I had received the text telling me to come to the door... I’ve been coming to European wax center over all about 7years they will no longer get my business and I will not refer anyone to go there

First time getting a wax here and some how the women at the front desk wanted to assume I was lying when clearly on record it states I never been, I loved Ms.Lois definitely will return to see her. Btw she made my experience better for me to want to return.

I spoke with Nicole at the Fishtown location on 11/13/20 for a cancellation and $27 refund. She told me she would call me on 11/16/20 or 11/17/20 to follow up. She did not call me and now 7 days later I called in for an update. Nicole refused to acknowledge that she personally failed to provide satisfactory customer service as the center manager. She used multiple excuses and blamed the bank for not releasing my funds. It is no longer an issue of the bank not releasing my funds. This has now become a customer service issue. I was very happy with the services performed by Viviana in October when I came in for my wax but all subsequent interactions with this center have been unacceptable.

I recently visited here and the place was amazing. I have gotten waxed only a few times before and was very anxious. The ladies at the front desk were very polite and sweet. The place itself was very clean and the process was very quick. I already am booking my next appointment with them. I highly recommend going here even for first timers. It is very welcoming and professional. Everyone I encountered was amazing. Thanks ladies.

I took a 30 minutes walk from my house to this location. When I got there on time , they say I should of grab my ID! When I talk to them on the phone nobody said that I should have my ID for wax! Such a waste of my time!

Nicolette is always so friendly and helpful with booking my appointments. She is by far the reason I come back every month! If my waxer is out she always suggests someone amazing. Never shaving again.

I call at 4:00 to ask to make an appointment for a brazilian and a quirky receptionist told me there was no need and to just walk in. I said i won’t get there for another hour and was reassured it wasn’t a problem. I arrive at 5:00 ready to go and am told there is no availability and they are booked for the rest of the day and to make an appointment for a later date. this could have been avoided if I was able to make an appointment like I called originally and the front desk didn’t lead me in the wrong direction. So 0 for service. It’s not fair and I don’t appreciate my time being wasted at all. Go to a different location.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I made an appointment post COVID with Nandi and it was the best eyebrow wax experience I have ever had. My eyebrows came out perfect! I have sensitive skin and typically break out in a rash but I barely reacted. Nandi is amazing and I will definitely schedule all my future waxed with her.

1000% 10/10 for my waxer Fatimah she is the only waxer at that location I would go to. She is always happy and doesn’t rush, and pays attention to detail! HOWEVER the lobby and the rooms are sooo HOT! I’ve been there various times to various people over the years and it is soo hot in the lobby and rooms in the summer. Like are the management/owners too cheap to turn on air in the SUMMER! It seems like the girls work very hard especially in this difficult time but management/ownership could do better

They told me to pick my daughter up early. There like no parking. My daughter can’t answer phone. I call the place and they can’t tell me anything and hung up on me. I mean c’mon! They have no interest in customer service smh.

So I just had my first wax at this location my wax was great but the cubby Caucasian girl at the front desk was rude as all hell! I wanted to exchange my product I just purchased 5 seconds ago and was told with an attitude that she couldn’t do because management was not there so I asked her when would management be in she stares at me for a minute than tools her eyes and says Monday! I will never come to this location again!

I purchased the package so I could just pay my waxes off and not have to worry about it. The location is well centered I have had three waxes out of them my second one wasn’t so good hair was left over which I disliked. I’ve stuck with the same person her personality is great. Shocked for $50 for a Brazilian wax they don’t even offer wine while you wait which I’m used to from Naked Peach wax and Wax by Claudia. I’ve only paid $35 and $40 for my waxes at these locations just this is closer for me. After my waxes are up I won’t be returning. They state that they use different products than these companies but I truly do not notice the difference. The staff is nice just want to get my money worth. Just found out another naked peach is not to far from this location.

The waxing has been great, my hair growth has reduced exponentially, however the employee turnover is very high in here. The moment you are satisfied with an esthetician, she decides to leave. Trying to get used to that.

I recommend everyone to ask for Adriana, she was wonderful! She’s very down to earth and the way she waxes is painless. Unfortunately, the first time I came I had a different girl and she was extremely heavy headed and her techniques with waxing were painful and she didn’t get all the hairs! However Adriana was awesome!

I love this place. Grant it I need to go more frequently but I will not go to anyone but Tyisha. She has good conversation and she always makes sure your doing okay. I have been here twice and each time it was a quick and tolerable pain experience. I always say i cannot tolerate pain but going to get a bikini wax is not as bad as a first timer thinks.

First Time Experience on Jan. 21, 2017--I came here for the free wax offered to first time customers and left paying only half off when I decided to switch services, the staff was very friendly and the place is clean. I didnt have to wait long and they told me about all they had to offer when I was checking out. Great service, great prices, I would highly recommend.

This location is great, they never give you a hard time about rescheduling your appointment and they are always on time with appointments. I got to Alyssa and she is great nice personality and good wax technique!

*Worst customer service ever* - I cannot describe how complicated it has been to get an appointment here; youd think this was brain surgery, including based on how arrogant the front desk staff was. They are absolutely terrible at their jobs, and are highly prone to using the oh you must have called a different location when I could clearly show that they were at fault. They will hang up on you or blow you off on hold - every trick in the book just to avoid doing their jobs. Horribly unprofessional, and makes you wonder about what happens behind the scenes.

Customer service at front desk is beyond horrible. My waxer Lanna was beyond wonderful, if she worked at a different location I would return but the front desk is associate is beyond rude.

ASK FOR ADRIANNA! I had been here like 4 years ago for a brazilian that was so bad, I didnt want to try it again. I went back yesterday, 3/18/19 and got Adrianna who was OUTSTANDING. Its obviously an uncomfortable moment but she made me feel so comfortable, we had great conversation, she was so so sweet and really made it a great experience for me. She was knowledgeable about skin which made me feel really good having her, too. She did my eyebrows and brazilian wax, couldnt recommend her more. I dont usually leave reviews online but really felt like she deserved a shout out!

I am giving most recent visit a low rating not because of the service I received for my wax. The esthetician Myeisha, who performed my wax was EXCELLENT and I am giving her 5 stars. However one of the young women who was at the front desk was extremely rude and dismissive and if i could i would give her a negative 5. I was there on Monday August 5th around noon. I generally go on Saturday’s so this was the first time I encountered this person. The woman sitting the seat to right is who I’m referring to. I didn’t get her name but she had a towel wrapped around her waist. I walked in and she just looked at me and said nothing. I said politely hi, I have a 12:15 appt. she responded with what time in a very abrupt manner. So I repeated it and she followed up by saying ok, as if i was bothering her. Then as I was leaving the esthetician put my slip on the side of the counter and she picked it up and tossed it over to the other receptionist. I’m not sure what her issue was but if you are having a bad day, you need to pretend you aren’t when working with the public! The other receptionist was really nice.

Weird!!! They wanted my email, phone number & to see id and when I explained that I didnt want any promotions or any email from them I was told its policy.

The method they use to wax is horrible. I got my armpits waxed which is such a simple service to do but I was left in pain and there was still hair left. The problem is the estheticians wax the entire area all at once. If you know anything about waxing, you know that just isn’t efficient because 1) all the hairs don’t grow in the same direction 2) it’s more painful and 3) it irritates the skin even more when the waxer goes back over the entire area multiple times. Overall it was just poor training and a mess.

Worst customer service! I called them 1 st time they put me on hold like 5 min , the worst part they have never even answered the phone before put you on hold. Then I called again they put me on hold again again again again again again and again .. so within 20 min no one ever answered the phone they were just kept putting me on hold.. I felt at some point that I was calling The White House.. like people are so freaking busy there that have no time even answer the phone.. Ive been this location many many times and this is not the first time happening and I know how busy is there .. I can understand like 5 min, or at least be kind enough to pick up the phone and say sorry can I take your number to call you back, we are currently busy or anything like that which I would much appreciate. Very disappointed !!!!!!!

Very poor customer service. They called me on two occasions telling me that I missed my appointment and reminded me of the no show policy. I spoke to Stephanie. She pretty much hanged up the phone on me when I tried to tell her that Im the wrong person they are booking the appointments under; I dont go to their location; and I dont want the 3 no show rule to go against me since it wasnt me.

The first time I had a wax with Tyisha was awesome!! 5 gold stars for her. On my second visit, I had Rebekah and her full Brazilian wax service was appalling. She left patches of hair blaming it on my irregular waxing. She literally too 7mins to give me a full Brazilian. Please do not not go to her if you want your money’s worth!!!

Everytime I come here I never have a bad experience. Ive been coming to this location for over a year now and Ive stuck with the same Wax Tech and she goes by Alyssa! Since the beginning she has been so pleasant and welcoming. She makes me feel so comfortable and confident when finish. We all have our imperfections and she is so unbothered by them. She does her job extremely well and is consistent Everytime. I would recommend her to any and everybody. She is such a sweet girl with a beautiful personality!!!

Wax was okay, but the girl at the front desk was extremely rude! After taking my money she asked, “so youre not going to tip?” NO! Now I am not. Tiping is not an obligation! Its a choice. She basically tried to force me to tip. Never go to this location! I’ll take my money else where. Period.

EWC charged my card without authorization and they do not refund your money. Your money is held hostage and your forced to return to a place you dislike.

Initially I had a double billing problem with EWC. I was a bit disappointed by the initial response of the manager. However, unbeknownst to me further research by the OWNER of the franchise revealed an usual technical problem. A refund was then issued within 30 minutes after my phone call.There is so little accountability in the world. It’s all about entitlement.Thank you Ken

Honestly pretty disappointed in the service I got at this location. I have been coming to EWC for years and after moving from Texas to Philly I still wanted to continue going to their centers. The waxer that I had at this location was named Celeste and she was very unpleasing to get a wax done by to be honest. The entire time she was giving me my wax the whole conversation was tense because of her hostility. Honestly Im still so confused as to why she was being so condescending during my wax, it was weird... itd seemed personal even though ive never met her until that day??? Ill definitely try this location one more time, im just going to go to someone else next time!

Front desk is Horrible, especially the heavy set woman that i spoken to on the phone with earlier in the day to make an appointment.. once i got there i was not greeted with a hello or anything, just asked for my name and time slot.. then i couldnt be seen cause i arrived 10 minutes late due to parking in center city.. cause ahe said they have a 9minute late policy, like what is that.. very unprofessional.. i dont know whats worse. Not being seen for 1minute over the allowed latenss or by the front desk rudeness...

I love EWC for their awesome customer service. I accidentally called the Rittenhouse location to reschedule my appointment at Horsham. The receptionist was so unbelievably rude. She gave me attitude about calling the wrong location and then told me she couldnt give me the correct number. I was so disgusted that I hung up without asking what her name was again. Then I called a different number and immediately asked if I had the correct number. She was able to help me even though it wasnt horshams specific number. Im so glad that I dont have to ever go to Rittenhouses location!
