Absolutely terrible. I thought the low ratings were an exaggeration of peoples experiences when I first moved in. They are overpriced considering that the printers were always down, the laundry room always had broken washing machines, and water pressure was very weak. My roommate had 3 packages go missing although she was told that they delivered to the mailroom. When she asked where her packages were, the staff told her that they never arrived - although she received an email that they did and her previous packages always arrived with no issues... so thats kind of sus. To top that off, during move-out they overcharged me for repair of blinds when there was absolutely nothing wrong with them at the time I handed in my keys. Considering they make you fill out a sheet at move-in of all the damages + wear and tear that occurred from previous residents - that sheet is absolutely useless - because although I made it clear there was previous wear and tear, they still charged me for the blinds upon move-out! (If youre planning to live here make sure to take detailed pictures and videos of every thing in the apartment so they dont overcharge you for things you didnt damage). Finally, The View is incredibly unresponsive. I have been trying to contact them for the past month to resolve this issue and have sent out multiple emails yet received no response from them. I was surprised to see that multiple other residents in the reviews section had the same experience happen to them and worse. I do not recommend living here.

The view was awful. extremely understaffed, don’t care about their residents, wifi would not work half the time during online classes, overcharged for extra fees after move out, would lose my amazon packages, paying waayyyy too much money to share a room in a shoebox. u call with a question and u get no help and have to wait days for an unannounced maintenance visit. do not be fooled by the positive reviews the management is awful and they are just there to take the money of college students in exchange for horrible service. avoid this place at all costs and don’t take the risk of living there

Make sure you take pictures/videos before and after moving out. They will try to get as much money out of you as they can by charging you with moving out charges that are completely wrong. I have video proof of how i left the apartment in great and clean condition and they are claiming over $250 worth of charges. Ive tried disputing the charges for over 2 1/2 months now. I have sent Zach several emails and called the office many times as well and still no response. Because of this, I havent gotten my security deposit back and it seems like they have no plans on giving it back or even responding to me at all. Also, I had a roommate (who was randomly assigned) who let her boyfriend live with us and the both of them smoked weed at all hours of the night. When I talked to office staff about this they seem annoyed that I brought it up, and barely did anything to help with the issue. On a positive note, the location is great and the maintenance staff are super nice and respond quickly. My response to The Views response:All you had to do was communicate better. I had to send over 10 emails just to get a response from someone about the moving out charges, ridiculous.I was NOT at all misleading with what I said. If you did care about not violating the lease, you would have kicked out my roommates boyfriend and had consequences for smoking once I complained to the office but the response I got from Conor Soop was We cant do anything unless you give us the exact times that the boyfriend is entering and leaving the unit cause our cameras only work in the lobby and were not gonna take the time to check them ourselves. And we cant do anything about the weed unless we come to the unit and see it ourselves.THAT was MY experience, regardless of whether or not The View wants to acknowledge it for what it actually was.

Hi. My daughter chose The View for her housing at Temple University because she liked the amenities and that it had a full kitchen. She cooks so she was able to forgo a meal plan at the school. The building has 24 security, so I felt good that strangers would not be able to wander in, since this is considered off campus housing. The apt. was comfortable and both she and I were happy with her freshman year housing experience.

Pros: Great location, decent gym, sky lounge, good security, nice rooms, reliable maintenance. If I could leave zero stars I absolutely would. I can make a never-ending list about the problems with this complex. For starters, during the stay-at-home and safer-at-home orders when outside guests were not allowed (City MANDATED) they were still allowing visitors into the complex - further endangering their inhabitants. They say they match you based on your lifestyle (ie: neat, cold room preference, sleeping habits) but they dont.Next, the amount of packages that have gone missing once delivered to the mailroom/reception is astounding, I had to fight with companies various times to send duplicate packages or fighting for a refund because they were delivered but the mailroom simply didnt have it.Thirdly, the air conditioning breaks every week, when I moved in I was here for two months and the air conditioning broke 5 different times. Not only that, but it takes maintenance WEEKS to even CHECK on the air conditioning and sometimes they would say it was fixed never having come to the apartment.Literally save your money for these overpriced apartments and go elsewhere, I regret living here for a year. I see why they say you cant back out of the lease in the contract now.

Moving in seemed stressful at first, but once I settled in, The View has become a comfortable place. Our apartment is definitely smaller than what we toured, and that kind of threw me and my roommates off at first. It will do for now. I do suggest having people tour the ACTUAL rooms that they will be paying for, not a different layout for the example room. False advertisement. Overall, it at least provides amenities and a safe space to live near campus.

Shameful. We have tried for months to amend or change our lease given the COVID situation on campus. As we are locked into a one year lease they have the audacity to email us promotions where they offer new renters two months for free. We have tried to reach someone to discuss the situation but no one responds. Temple Housing is offering refunds but this place wont even talk to us. Classes are virtual, students have gone home, they are offering discounts to new tenants, but wont offer ANY RELIEF at all to those of us who signed up prior to March. Shameful management.

In contrast, we have been troubling with stove some time because it gets too hot and all of our alarm sensors in the room turn on so easily so we have to be extra carful every time. However, other than that, im happy staying here rather than anywhere else i guess. I put 4 stars because Im still new here and i dont know if I have any trouble and how well they can help me out.Anyway, Caitlin who worked at the view and helped me to get everything done to live here was super kind and easy to talk to. I will be an incoming Freshman for the 2017-2018 year and the uncertainty of not knowing if I will get a dorm on campus makes me very uneasy so I looked into The View and I can say without a doubt the day I get my acceptance letter (crossing my fingers) I will be signing a lease at The View. With all the violence going on on the other side of Broad Street I want to be safe, and with the Temple police station right across the street, extended leasing office hours, and very friendly 24/7 security at the desk I could not think of a better place to call my home away from home. When I went for a tour the office staff was so attentive, kind and patient with me, since this is my first time living away from home they helped me with so many things I wouldn’t have even thought to ask!The sticker shock was a bit much but when they broke it down compared to other off campus housing options, they include everything! I don’t have to worry about putting any bills in my name, forgetting to pay cable/internet. Also, they offer individual leasing so if my roommate fails to pay I won’t be held responsible. My family wanted me to have a dorm experience but while the View is off campus, they still do numerous activities throughout the year and have a student staff who are willing to help with University related issues if need be! The rooms are more spacious than the dorms as well, and with the full size kitchen I won’t need to get a meal plan for I will be so close to campus I can run home for lunch and make a quick PB&J!The gym alone is a huge perk, while the Temple gyms are free to students, they close during breaks and if I were to get an internship, I would have full 24/7 access to this amenity. I know tanning isn’t for everyone, but prepping for spring break is a must! The view offers 2 stand up tanning beds which is great, since the closest tanning location to the University is 2 miles away in center city. All three of my older siblings are Temple Alums and when they saw where I may be living they were so envious! One of my sisters lived in J&H and had a terrible experience then moved to south Philly, one lived in Oxford Village and had a rodent issue, and my brother lived off campus since he was a transfer student when he came in and The View was not an option at the time when they were students. I can say with confidence that this is the most convenient/safest option around campus.

The View at Montgomery was everything I ever hoped and dreamed it would be! When I entered college freshman year, I decided to take the cheaper option and reside at the Edge. However, after many altercations I decided to switch up my living situation for the next year. I went around and reached out to many friends and classmates for their suggestions. They responded to live at the View with absolutely no hesitation! After living there for two years, I could genuinely say it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Their amenities (especially the state of the art gym) along with their convenient location make it extraordinary! Additionally, their staff is so hands-on, professional, and caring! There is really no place I would rather live! The quality greatly exceeds the cost!

Extremely overpriced, better off finding a place off campus to save money or check out university village literally one block away and is cheaper. The amenities that you get for free alway come with a catch, free printing- have to print your own paper/ the printer doesnt work half the time, free laundry- one wash and dry per week on the lowest setting, half the equipment at the gym doesnt work either. Another thing to beware of is trying to sublease your apartment here, if your not going to live here in the summer you still have to pay the rent and if you try to get out of the lease you have to find someone on your own to take your spot plus pay 85% of one months rent on top of all that. There are plenty of closer places just off campus that are just as safe and a lot cheaper !

Overall the View is a nice place. I would not go as far as saying its a great apartment to live in for 12 months. It is very expensive to live there, and I feel like the money that everyone pays does not go towards necessary improvements. The elevators are almost always broken, at least one of them. One of them has been broken for 7 months now. Crowds of at least 15 kids are always waiting in the lobby for the next elevator. But instead of repairing this necessity, we are getting new carpets and paint in the lobby. Packages mailed to the building have to get processed which takes like a day or two after the package is actually delivered. Another thing is scanning an ID every time I enter the building. At this point when I am walking in and out a couple times in an hour, it is obvious I live there and should not have to scan. The parking lot gate works only half the time, making the person get out of the car and stand in front of the gate with the gate pass so that it detects it and opens.. The maintenance staff is friendly but lacks getting things done. My bathroom sink does not feature hot water, only ice cold water comes out and try brushing your teeth with ice cold water. Maintenance said they fixed it, my water is still cold. Overall, I will not be living here next year because I was promised an off campus apartment vibe and it is quite the opposite, I should have just lived in a dorm again because that is what it feels like.

Very Small, VERY VERY VERY overpriced rooms that have low quality finishes and cheap furniture. No dishwasher in room as promised, buckling floor boards, broken microwave, unfinished ceiling when I moved in. The lock on the front door was broken and I had no hot water when I moved in as well. To their credit they did fix these, but it took two full days without a lock or hot water. Cheap furniture as well. The security is a JOKE. People walk in and use the facilities that do not live there. The management is terribly unorganized and didnt have any security features, guest policy, or mail policy (package pick up) in place. Construction was obviously rushed and it shows if you look close enough. Ive seen countless people looking to sublet their leases and they havent even been up and running for a year yet. Dont be fooled by the management either, they seem nice until there is a problem, then they are ruthlessly cruel to poor college students and will cut you no slack no matter the circumstances. 0/10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.

The only good thing about the View is that its on campus. Its ridiculously overpriced for the tiny bedrooms and its shared bathrooms. Youre better off finding a good location off campus and saving a ton of money. When I signed my lease I told them I was studying abroad and they promised that I wouldnt have to worry about paying rent while abroad. They told me they found someone to sublease my apartment and that she signed my lease, then randomly (weeks later) told me they let her take another unit. This place is the absolute worst! Im not someone who usually writes reviews ever, and I certainly dont have super crazy expectations. I pay about $970 a month, and I just recently moved out (the day classes ended) because I was so ready to be out of there. The ONLY positive to living here is the location, thats all. The appliances are pretty crappy too, which is really frustrating. I thought this was the best option because it was on campus which made it more convenient and the safer alternative. However, I felt like I was living in student housing all over again! (And The View is not exclusively to students, anyone else can live there!) Maintenance would barge into our rooms unannounced and with no notice. One time, a maintenance member walked in while I was in nothing but a bath towel. The man tried to reassure me by telling me Im not looking, dont worry. That was anything but comforting. My mom called with these concerns, and keep in mind that she is a pretty calm person. She was upset when she called, but never loses her temper on office members, since theyre simply just the messengers between tenants and management. However, an office member was screaming at her on the phone, and then she started to get super upset. Im not sure what kind of building allows their staff to talk to their tenants this way, especially with such valid concerns! This place is all around just terrible, and its honestly just laughable at this point how poorly managed this place is. I could list 100 other complaints, but its generally just awful.

The View at Montgomery is definitely the best off-campus housing at Temple University! The gym, tanning salon, and the two restaurants make it very convenient when youre hungry or when you want to work out!

The View is absolutely the very best place to live if you are looking for the most comfortable and best experience. You definitely will not regret your decision.

While the view has some areas that need improvement, the upsides to living here greatly outweigh these areas of needed improvement. I personally only want to live here this year, but i would recommend it to anyone who wants to move off campus.

The View is a great place to live! Its location is perfect, the building is beautiful, and it has everything that you could possibly want or need all in one building.

The View at Montgomery is a beautiful modern apartment complex located directly adjacent to main campus. Rooms are a comfortable size, and well designed. The gym is a great added bonus. My only complaint so far is that the WIFI is pretty pitiful. Signal cuts out and speeds are very slow, unfortunate because the wired internet is incredibly fast and reliable.

Ive lived here for three years now and I have always been very satisfied with the conditions of the building and the friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The only thing good about this place is the location. This place is overcrowded, mediocre, and not worth the extreme high price for what you’re getting. Might seem nice at first but beware. Rooms are tiny with bulky cheap furniture, air conditioner will constantly break, smoke alarms are super sensitive and will go off from just turning on a burner. If you don’t know your roommates beforehand theyll disregard your prefrences when you filled out your online application and pair you with anyone they can find. Windows have no screens so bugs fly in if you try to open one. 1000+ a month to live with a bunch of strangers in a crappy apartment. Can’t wait to move out into an off campus apartment. really disappointing experience.

If you are a Temple student, this is a pretty dope spot to live in. Four bedroom apartment is spacey and the the interior is well structured. The bedrooms can be a little small.
