The rooms are...passable and thats it. When I moved here, none of the amenities were open. Rooms are overpriced, especially compared to UCross. Front desk staff will roll their eyes at you and get annoyed when trying to sign someone in. When I had an issue with my neighbors and their excessive partying, the desk flat out ignored the multiple complaints I made. Trash chute has been broken for months now, so we have to send everything down the recycling bin. And the recycling bin gets locked half of the time. I routinely receive mail from past tenants. The leasing office decided to sublet an empty bed space without seeking permission from my roommate and I, and we were stuck with a 25 year old man married with children who barely spoke English, was extremely misogynistic, and caused water to leak into the room beneath us-twice. This place could have been great. It could have had top notch amenities, great staff, and decent rooms. But, sadly, it was too good to be true. Abandon all hope ye who enter

Some good amenities. The one plus was the washer and dryer in the unit. No stove. Expensive. Space was small for what I paid and almost every light went out. Maintenance is intrusive and slow to respond when you actually need them. Sometimes it took me several days to get a package through their mail system, one time they left a perishable item out for days and never notified me it was there. The staff would roll their eyes at me when i asked to sign someone in through their ridiculous system. I also experienced something quite gruesome in this building that made me leave as soon as I could and really made me question if living there and going to drexel was the right choice. It wasn’t.

I enjoy living here. I’ve always had great service with maintenance and security. I’m writing this review for one reason - the mail. During Covid, I let this slide because the mail system was different than usual. Now that they’ve changed mail services back to normal - I can actually say I’m disappointed. Having to wait 2+ days to pick up packages that have been delivered is very frustrating. How often are packages processed? With the amount of mail coming in every day, I understand that this is a long process, but there has to be a way to make this whole thing more simple. I don’t want to give the employees a hard time but this is the only issue that makes me genuinely want to move out. No - I will not be renewing next year. Why? The mailroom is too stressful to keep dealing with.

Absolutely awful living experience. The rooms are okay, but just pray you never have to deal with any of the staff. Ive had nothing but bad experiences with them. There was a month where I was struggling to pay rent, and I was told about a rent hardship program where theyd forgive a month of rent. Emailed who I had to, and I was told an application was sent in. Turns out, they now have no record of any application, and the rent hardship program doesnt apply to past payments, so now because of one of their mistakes Im being forced to pay back all that + late fees

Update: someone just tried to steal my bike in the courtyard and security is useless and cant help me. Do not put your bike in the courtyard. They charge full price despite the fact that most amenities are closed. Even some that are open, have restrictions. The gym has closing hours (it was 24 hour before covid), as if a virus has a bedtime. Also the time it takes for packages to be processed is practically the same amount of time it took to be delivered. They also placed restrictions on guests. As far as Im aware, thats potentially a violation of Pennsylvania Statutes Title 68 PS. Real and Personal Property250.504-A. Tenants rights.

There is amazing study rooms, as well as a great gym open 24 hours for all residents. With all the amenities that come with the Summit, I really couldnt imagine living elsewhere. Also, Taylor, who is one of the staff at the Summit, has always been there to help me with whatever I need and that is something that also makes it an enjoyable experience to live here. I truly wish I could give zero stars. Probably one of the worst places to live on campus. I was charged $1300 for rent when I had already moved out of the establishment and was told I had to wait 4-6 weeks to receive my reimbursement. I called for a follow-up to see where the check was and they told me it wouldnt be sent out until the end of the month. The staff is not on the same page and they will tell you completely different information.

Overpriced apartment honestly. You can get better apartments in center city. The only good part of the experience was moving in and then moving out. The game room has terrible games. The hunting games and basketball nets are broken. Living space wise, it was terrible. The chairs in your room are uncomfortable, the mattress was initially dirty and I cleaned that myself, maintenance takes too long to respond, trash room is always a mess, and if you are sharing with a roommate like I was then your side of the unit isnt that big. The only plus side was the closet space. Also, the security people arent that nice. Honestly, the security staff are clueless people who just sit there on their phones all day. They dont care and there have been times where Ive seen people just walk past them at the check-in counter without them noticing. They also arent helpful either. They just refer me to a student community assistants who also seem just as clueless too. If you have an issue with anything, dont try to email staff. They are too slow and sometimes never answer. Also, the resident portal is poorly designed and the recurring bill payment didnt work one time for me. The site for the resident portal looks like it was designed on Microsoft Paint by a five year old. To the rising sophomores who think about applying to live here, dont. The new car smell will quickly go away after the first two weeks.

The company as a whole showed how little they care about the students they make a profit off of year after year. The place to begin with was over priced but at least had an advantage of being right on campus. The staff has plenty of nice people but the company forced hundreds of students to pay rent for empty apartments when classes were moved online for spring and summer. I luckily can afford the cost but plenty of people I know couldnt. Dont give your money to a company that leeches off students just trying to get an education.

Although this place is super nice, everything about it sucks. Ive lived here for the past two years, lost power at random more times than the indices on my fingers, gotten stuck with a random roommate who was just god awful, and most of all, I have to allocate at LEAST 30 minutes of my time to leave for class. Living on a higher level floor I understand that the elevators may take some time to get down to all of the floors, however, there are 4 total elevators going from floors 9-24. What they will not tell you whilst on tour is that there are only 2-3 working at a time and in the morning, youll stop at almost every single floor on the way down because maintenance occupies 1-2 of them just to clean the floors. They also wont put them back in service when theyre done. Furthermore, theres no range unless you want to pay an extra $200 for it. For now, you get a hot plate and a microwave. If you needed to bake or broil something, you can go to the top floor to use the sky lounge. Oh wait, the elevator that will take you there is signed out by maintenance, oh well, guess youre not eating tonight. Oh, and if you thought this was a normal apartment, its not. They check in your packages and pay people money to handle your packages instead of paying people money to fix these elevators. If you order something important and it is a necessity, you wont get it for at most a week later. There are several times throughout the week during business hours when no one is operating the package room until 5:00pm. That means there are packages upon packages waiting to be scanned in by a single individual. Oh, and not to mention, if you really need things in a hurry, choosing one day shipping will only result in a possibly valuable package being lost. It would be nice if they would allocate the proper resources to just build an automated system where you can check out your packages. If youre forced by the system to live here for a year, I understand, and its doable, but when youre done, find something cheaper and with a less autocratic management style. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Overpriced, $1,000 for half a room and a 4 person shared common space. Package room closes too early and should be open nearly 24/7. If you order a package they will not let u retrieve what you ordered until you are notified by them which is usually days after your package has arrived and will sometimes give you the wrong package and have lost my package before. You have to scan a key to use the elevator every time. Management takes days to weeks to respond to emails. They will call you months before your rent is due to remind you to pay it and will have the student workers try to be bill collectors and call you while you are at work. They will tell you the manager (Jorden) will get back to you when you have an issue but they don’t even if you press the issue for months. Co-op friendly lease is a scam. The student staff is very unprofessional( most of them except for Taylor and a few others). Printer only prints in black and white and broke so you have to go to the leasing office to get something printed which takes forever because you have to email them what you need printed and they have to find it which takes them forever and print it. Your guest have to take a picture to be signed in and they don’t let your guarantor up either

Overall it’s a pretty good place to live. It may seem expensive but it’s worth it for the amenities. The rooms are already furnished with sofas, chairs, tables, desks, wardrobes, and beds, so you don’t have to stress about furnishing your own room. After spending 2 years living in dormitories, it was a nice change of pace to go from dreary, worn-out, and cramped rooms to something new, modern, and best of all, spacious!I can honestly say that I am beyond happy having selected The Summit as my place of residency. The rooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is incredibly warm and polite. When I first moved in, I couldnt stop comparing this place to a hotel. The Summit is, with a doubt, the best place to live on-campus!The reason my rating is missing two stars is due to a few things. Having to wait days to collect a delivered package is incredibly inconvenient; even moreso when that package contains medication. Being woken up at midnight because of a false-alarm fire alarm is also annoying, though I believe its been happening less frequently than it had been in the past. Also, having to bring raw meats up 30 flights to use an oven is also really inconvenient. And, lastly, having to pay $1000 every month to share a living space with three others is a little unbelievable and overpriced. To be fair, all of these issues are comparable to those of the dormitories on campus. If any of these issues act as deal breakers for you, consider looking into housing off-campus. Having said all that, I still stand by my earlier statement: The Summit truly is the best place to live on-campus.

However, the main thing that sucks about this place is the price, it is 950 a month for a shared bedroom with cable that doesnt always work, constant fire alarms, a kitchen I can barely use, little living room and dining room space in general. I called on 3 different occasions to speak to a manager and never received a call back. I went on 2 occasions and the manager refused to speak to me. When my daughter signed up she was told if she had to get out of the contract then the staff will help help to sublet and help her get out of the contract. After she signed the contract , in person at the office she was told they were sorry for giving her wrong information. After that my daughter had to sing a form to give permission for the apartment to be sub- rented to someone else, and in front of me the office personnel stated that her apartment was the type to easily rent, and told us to call back in 1mo. When my daughter went in person ( since when you call they dont answer your messages) , she was told that their open apartments are offered first until they get filled and then they may offer your apartment when a person comes in since they DO NOT HELP with finding any one to take your apartment. This is the worst experience Ive ever had. My daughter was giving a work study position as an RA and that is the reason why she needed to get out of the contract, because she could not live in 2 places at the same time and they said that wasnt a reason for getting out of the contract, but as I understand it there is not one reason to be able to get out. Presently , Im paying over $1000 a month for an apartment my daughter is not living in. One example: I referred a friend to The Summit & we had received an email stating that anyone who referred a new resident would receive a $200 gift card if they signed a lease. Well, they signed a lease, told them 10 different times that they were referred there by us, and they said fine. When I didnt hear anything about the gift card, I called and was told that they didnt put our names on the application. I then find out there is no place on the application for referred by. So, even though our friends repeatedly told them that they were sent there by US, we got nothing for it. Even got to hear their favorite response: sorry, there is nothing we can do about that. If they were a hotel, they would NEVER have a repeat guest. Beware. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. Continue reading other reviews to confirm. Most recently, I have been trying to get my washing machine fixed for over a week. Before that, it took three weeks for The Summit to replace the single light in my bedroom. In two years, I have had a slew of issues that are only appropriately addressed after multiple visits to the leasing office. The turnover rate for staff is very high, so youre unlikely to find somebody with any genuine interest in helping solve your problems. Its a beautiful place to live, but The Summit is very expensive for shared rooming and exceptionally poor service.I will not be renewing my lease.Edit: Darlene, Ive finally been in contact with the AGM, and I am again assured that this is being followed up on. I think what bothered me the most was that the fire alarms would go off all the time, even in the middle of the night. Some other complaints I had were slow maintenance repairs on elevators (I even got stuck in one once), and I was late to class/work multiple times because I had to wait so long for the elevators. The price was pretty high, especially considering I lived with three other people and shared a bedroom. I also had an incomplete kitchen (not stove, oven, or dishwasher) which was, along with the fire alarms, a reason I decided to leave. The wifi connection was pretty weak sometimes. Also, the parking garage attached to the building seemed to be a higher price than any other campus lots. The best things about this place were the in-unit laundry and the beautiful, fully equipped gym. Everything was brand new. I took advantage of the study rooms, sky lounge, and outdoor lounge area when they werent too crowded. These are the only reasons I would give The Summit a second star.

I also was shocked how fast the staff built a waterpark while we were sleeping. I woke up to the blaring alarms that alerted us to beautiful waterfalls indoors. One in particular was raining onto a pool table. They even had the news here to celebrate the opening. Honestly this is one the best waterparks that I have paid $1000 a month to go to!!

There are hot water issues, and random alarms with no emails to explain why they occurred. Its also extremely overpriced for both the area and the quality of the materials used. The people who work here are very nice, but the whole structure of the place is a mess.

I would like to say I was happy with my sons stay at the summit but I cannot the story of matching you with a roommate who has similar likes and interests .What a joke the only thing my son and his roommate had in common was they had the same 1st name. My sons roommate had alredy lived there the year before and had basically taken over the entire apartment except for my sons bedroom the apartment was filthy the day we moved in the kitchen was covered with crusty food the roommate never cleaned. I would come to visit and clean the oven because it is just disgusting. I have heard multiple stories about people not getting security deposits back if their rooms arent a 100% immaculate let me tell you something my son lived in a room with a window that was shattered for almost 6 months it didnt blow out but it was shattered thats dangerous especially since it was in his closet where he needs to go every day and hes on the 23rd floor. I have repeatedly over the past year when he was living there called for someone to talk to about issues. when Im visiting I always would go into the leasing office and it was never the same people we had billing issues where I was getting emails with other kids who happened to have the same last name. I was getting their emails about their rent being paid complain multiple times. My on is not responsible for the rest of the apartment because his roommate was continuing to live there this coming year so we cleaned his bedroom and bathroom and it was fully clean.. I hope I dont have an issue with a security deposit because of the mess that was in the living room and the kitchen from his roommate. I have no problem calling corporate and I have no problem voicing my opinions of how people are treated. We paid for a beautiful apartment and unfortunately because you chose a roommate that had nothing in common with my son he barely would come out of his room because the other roommate always had people over and made tons of noise .the views I will say unbelievable but for what I was paying I think things should have been handled a lot better than they were. Especially when that window shattered it should not have taken 6 months caution tape should never have been put over it a piece of plywood a piece of plexiglass something but you put a piece of flimsy plastic after I complained. I hopefully will get a full refund on my security deposit ..

My entire experience with Summit was quite interesting. I actually quite liked living there. They had all the amenities and stuff so that was good. It is an expensive place to live which kinda makes sense given the facilities. However, I think that this company has a communication issue that they need to resolve. After they canceled my lease and somehow could not reach me effectively, it took them four months to refund my rent. Between the bookkeeper and the other staff, it seems like they did not know how to coordinate themselves.

Don’t apply. The first option ran out in four minutes so did your second and third choice. The email clearly stated that the first option ran out without saying anything about second and third choice yet they completely ignore your request.

The management of this place is awful. They use the fact that their manager changed as an excuse for requests that are unfulfilled. The manager is awfully rude and incompetent. I scheduled an appointment with her to see her today and she was gone for lunch. If you want to live somewhere with decent management, go to link.

Avoid this place!!! The rooms are terrible and disgustingly overpriced. Management will charge you for things you never agreed to and when you try to dispute the extra charges, they will refuse to engage in dialogue and will just keep adding late fees. They will send you lots of emails to let you know that you owe them money but they will never reply to a single one. When you call them, they will let you know that the manager just left but they can leave a message...however, you will never ever receive a call back. Whatever you do, stay away from this place!!!!

Best on-campus apartment at Drexel! I love that students have the option to have a private bedroom and bathroom, and even a private apartment. Very convenient in terms of walking to class. Features pool tables and other games on the ground floor, as well as a fitness center and 24th floor lounge with beautiful view. Would highly recommend!

Extremely unorganized. They also leave their residents stranded for a two week period when changing leases to their sister buildings, which their company owns and operates. The company treats their residents as children rather than adults. I would never recommend any to live here. Fees are extremely high and are in no way justified. Part of the reason they are able to do this is because they market to students who usually do not know better.

Id suggest you ask permission to record every conversation you have about signing or resigning a lease with the leasing office. They will tell you anything you want to hear to get your money and then say there is nothing they can do when what they promise you falls through. Make sure you know the name and position of the person you are talking to as well as receive everything in writing, for your own sake.

Things I gave Summit-time-money-loveThings Summit gave to me-nothing that was promised when i originally signed lease-constant fire alarms that always wake me up-a sub par eatery-broken/lack of promised appliances-an overpriced parking garage-constant power outages-terrible customer service-long elevator waits-broken elevators-water damage-lost packages-and most importantly, the knowledge that construction should NEVER be rushed especially for the purpose of monetary gains which is all the owners care about. The only positive thing they have going for them is the location which is why they can get away with their outrageous pricing.

If youre looking for an over-priced apartment that had false alarms every other night at 2AM youve found a match! They even had courtesy to assign me a random roommate ( that turned out to be literally the worst person Ive ever met) TWO DAYS before I moved in! Have fun, and remember, you will be an afterthought!

The only reason I am giving this place even one star, is because zero stars is not an option. The elevators break often, keep in mind this building hasnt even had a first birthday. I live on floor 8, on the apartment side there has been an ongoing leak out of the ceiling, creating water damage and god knows what else. The floor boards easily come up, they are fake wood (shocker), the easily break due to the furniture being incompatible with the flooring. Their solution was to put booties on the legs of the furniture to prevent it, unfortunately they dont stay on very well, especially if you move the furniture around to clean and what not. I tried to email the manager 5 times with no reply, Im convinced they dont even have a manager. They cannot answers questions consistently and I have yet to meet anyone that works here who has more than five years experience or isnt a student. The only good thing about this place is the gym, and even then theres some water that is dripping from the ceiling randomly if you use the elliptical. I cannot wait to move out, I thought living in a place that was brand new and less than a year old would be fantastic and have fewer problems, but in reality I had less issues living in a 30 year old dorm. Dont even bother living here, within five years it wont look nearly as nice and the leaking ceilings and floor boards will be even more of a disastrous problem then it is currently.

STAY AWAY! This place is absolutely awful. The most important appliances are the cheapest. My AC has broken 4 times in the heat and my room has gotten to 82 degrees. They fail to fix things in a timely manner unless it would effect them, if its a leak they are on it immediately but if your unable to sleep because youre drenched in sweat theyll be there sometime that week. My dishwasher has broken, my sink has been clogged, my toilet would run endlessly, my shower has been clogged, and my freezer wont shut properly. On top of the poor quality of the building, they have dishonest staff. They lie about the leases and forget to mention certain rules they have. They basically imprison you with no way out of your lease. Everything is ridiculously overpriced. This building is so disappointing and awful.

The location is convenient, the amenities are useful, the staff are considerate, and there is a Starbucks adjacent to the lobby. The biggest drawback is the fire alarm, which goes off at inconvenient times once in a while, partially due to the assortment of retail establishments in the building, but its a small price to pay for the conveniences that the Summit provides.

I had a 4 bedroom 2 bath and the room was spacious and the ceilings were high so it made the living room seem more open. The washer and dryer in your room were nice but I rarely used the game room and study room, although i know my friend found the study room very helpful. The only problems were signing people in is a hassle and the elevators needed matinence almost every month for different reasons.
