Its never easy dealing with 46 of water on ones finished basement and mechanical room, but Servpro was beyond fantastic about keeping us posted regarding their arrival time and scope, keeping in touch, and following up (not to mention great, thorough work!). Alex Morello came into our office to introduce himself and offer restoration services. I kindly explained that we already used another company, however if he would send me an idea of pricing for particular issues that I would consider using them as a backup. When the building I run had a water emergency and my current restoration service manager did not answer when I called which was 2:00 AM, I called Alex and he answered the call immediately, coordinated staff to come and handle the issue and came out himself to make sure everything was going smoothly. In the midst of an emergency, the manager of a building needs to focus on preventing any more damage from occurring and coordinating the current staff onsite to work fast to mitigate damage, not chasing down a company to help. Servpro of Society Hill did a tremendous job helping me resolve and issue I had in my home related to water damage. I notice an area under my kitchen that was wet and as a result of the moisture mold had formed. The area was in a very tight crawl space under my kitchen. I contacted Servpro and Dan came out to my house to evaluate the issue. He provided expert advice on next steps for resolution. Because the area was small and difficult to access it was difficult to determine the actual cause of the issue. That did not deter Dan as we continued to research the problem Dan came back to my home on at least 3 separate occasions to help determine the root cause of the issue. He didnt charge me for the subsequent visits because it was clear he saw this as a very unique scenario and he was as determined and I was to find the root cause of the issue and resolve it. I called several large name brand plumbing companies out to my house and each insisted that the source of my water problem was coming from my next door neighbor. They said there was nothing they could do. After the second company came out I called Servpro back and they put me in touch with Drew a contractor that they work with and I asked him to take a look at the issue. Within a few minutes he had determined the cause of the issue, a copper pipe with a pin hole leak in it which had been leaking for a number of years. The Servpro team found an issue that none of the very large plumbing companies could find. After determining the cause of the issue we developed a plan for remediating the plumbing issue and then remediating the issue with the mold. The remediation required removal of cabinet in the kitchen along with some of the flooring. Servpro setup a containment area in the kitchen blocking off the remainder of the house removed the cabinet and the flooring, squeezed down into a very tight area and performed the mold remediation. Then they put everything back just the way it was, like it had never been touched. Im extremely pleased with the service provided by Servpro of Society Hill and wont use anyone else going forward. I feel like I have developed a friendship with Dan and the other members of Servpro of Society Hill team and would highly recommend them for all of your remediation needs.
