I am not a commercial shipper. I have never worked with a freight shipper, which is very different than shipping by UPS, FEDEX or USPS. I felt lost in how to proceed. I called YRC and received super assistance from Samantha. She created the documents needed and contacted the receiving YRC depot (Orlando)to make them aware I was taking my package to them. When I arrived, I was greeted by every employee that I saw and provided directions to the correct office. They assisted in unloading my 195 pound package and wished me a good day. I have served as a trained and certified instructor for a branch of the Federal Government. Bottom line: YRC provides outstanding customer service!

I never even a choice in this shipment decision but this company has no idea what there doing and cant seem to do anything right I wish my shipments from now on would come on Estes freight where I had great service from

I have been having a terrible time with YRC Freight. I ordered a piece of furniture off Overstock that I, unfortunately, had to return. Dealing with YRC has been a disaster from drop-off to pick-up.When we originally had the furniture delivered, we asked to be given a heads up when the driver was about an hour away. We werent living in our home at the time, so we needed time to get over there to accept the delivery. The driver ended up calling when he was 20 minutes away, so we had to drop everything and get over there. When we arrived, the driver said he couldnt take the palette into our garage and wed have to take the boxes off ourselves. There were five boxes all upwards of 50 pounds.The real fun starts when we had to return everything. There wasnt any communication from YRC about when they were going to come to pick up our boxes, they just showed up one day. The day they showed up I was at work since I had no idea they were coming. Needless to say, we had to refuse to pick them up and have them come on a different day. Then, they came back a different day and told me I needed to have all of my boxes on a palette and shrink-wrapped - all of which I was never told and didnt just have laying around. So, I needed to reschedule a third time to try and find my materials. Meanwhile, I called YRC multiple times trying to understand how I was responsible for returning the boxes in a manner I didnt receive them. It makes total sense that they need to be on a palette - its easier for the driver to pick them up that way. My frustration came in that I wasnt ever told I needed to have the boxes ready in this fashion.Fast forward, and we eventually worked it out so the boxes could be picked up. Story over, right? Wrong. A week and a half later I receive two $200 invoices from YRC for pickups with no freight. I was charged for the first time they showed up - the one I didnt know they were coming. And then charged for the second time they showed up and surprised me with the fact that I needed to have my boxes on a palette and shrink-wrapped. No time during my several calls did anyone from YRC inform me that I was going to be getting charged for each time a driver came out. And when I did call, they always blame Overstock (which isnt innocent in this situation, by the way). Its been extremely frustrating to be caught in the middle of two companies that dont seem to talk to each other and have no idea what the other is doing.

We are a business and seems the driver can not back his truck in to pickup our pallet. So its been sitting here for 4 days and they said they need a straight tuck which they dont seem to own.Use UPS Freight for your shipping. May cost a little more but better service.

Beware of that company , they gave us low price online for shipping three pallets from NJ to Orlando FL with pickup May26 and delivery May31.since then they are giving non sense excuses for delay.today is June4th and the reason they could not deliver today is our area cannot accept 53 ft truck. which is a lie , we are in industrial area and receiving all kinds of trucks.worst company you may deal with, you will need to wait on hold for at least 20 min to speak to customer service rep who can do nothing but saying we are sorry.

Ordered 3 shelving units from a company that contracted YRC to deliver. All appeared to be on schedule until it wasnt. 3 shelving units were accepted at Ohio location. 3 shelving units were scanned from Ohio to Orlando. We received a call from the local Orlando dock to schedule delivery. Delivery date came a passed. I called to inquire was told 3 shelving units were not on Orlando truck. I asked where they were and was informed they didnt know. I said you lost three heavy duty commercial shelving units? I was told they are not lost. I said then where are they? The customer service rep said they didnt know but they shelving units are not lost! Really? They received the units, Scanned the units in, scanned the units to go on a truck, Dont know where the units are but dont worry they are not lost. Makes perfect sense right?How do you lose an entire pallet weighing over 300 pounds? It is not like it is hiding under something!*****UPDATE******Once I was able to contact the local warehouse our package was immediately located. Terry, informed me that she had a hunch where the units were and would follow up to verify and contact me with the findings. She did as she as said and our units promptly arrived the following day! Albeit the units were late, her knowledge of where they were provided assurances. The key is speaking to someone local who has access to information for the situation. The 800 number inflamed frustrations and their lack of knowledge leads one to conclude incompetence runs amuck. It was only after my 3rd call to the 800 number that I was offered the local #. Why the 2 previous calls failed to secure the number, or why those reps did not call the local office themselves is anyones guess. However, Terry put our mind at ease and followed through in a professional manner. I will add that our units arrived in pristine condition! The driver was also very professional.

If you ever had the options of jumping off a cliff and doing business with YRC Freight... WELL let me tell you first hand the cliff is less painful.they are USELESS in every way imaginable - From Orlando to Miami less than a 4 hour driveit takes them 3 - 4 day transit for whatever reason- no ones knows or cares to explain and then have audacity to charge almost me a 1,000 for something 99.9% of all freight carriers could have done in 1 day for less money... lesson Learn..

I purchased a Truck Engine and it was shipped through YRC Freight Orlando. The engine arrived at their dock and sat there for 2 days not being delivered. When we called them to find out the issue there was no good reason given. Since we needed the engine we had to go pick it up ourselves even though we paid for Shipping. It turns out the engine was bad and had to be returned. This time YRC driver stated they couldnt fit onto our COMMERCIAL property because they had a freight truck. I called the office myself to express this was a mechanic shop with already trucks on the property. The rep was very rude and unwilling to listen. We ended up having to take the engine to their location AGAIN. User beware they are lacking skilled truck drivers and dont care if you have a time limit or not.

Thank you YRC for having such flexible shipping options. Until recently, I never realized that you could put any address you wanted to on the outside of a pallet and your company would ship it there regardless of what the bill of lading said, what we paid for, or any other documentation that would normally determine where a shipment would go.I also appreciate your absolute honesty with me that loading dock workers and truck drivers dont actually look at any of the paperwork we provide and go solely on an address they may find. This will save us considerable time in the future. With this new method of shipping, we wont have to fill out anything. Just put an address on a sticky note and call for pickup. I mean, that is some serious service there.If the above was not enough, you still raise the bar even higher.... How you ask? Ill tell you!After you ship something (a lot of something) to an address that has nothing to do with the paperwork we submitted, you explain how youre doing me a favor by shipping it to the original address at no additional charge. That is just absolutely amazing service. Especially considering that it only cost our company $10,000 or so in rescheduled flights and manufacturing costs.Luckily, with the new system of ship anywhere flat rate pricing, we can make up that revenue shortfall with our next few shipments.YRC.... You are the absolute gold standard in service. From quote to pick up to problematic delivery to denial and overrun costs. Nobody can beat you. Keep up the good work. Next pallet that ships will have To:The Moon on the outside. Its nice to know with this new shipping policy, you will actually get it there. Even if I only pay for shipping to Cleveland.

Wow!! This company is one of the rudest companies that I’ve seen. It starts from the driver all the way to dispatch. Some rude lady named Sherry answered when I called was rude and disrespectful when I asked to speak to a manager. She finally connected me to a Chris Johnson. All of this happened because the driver was being lazy and didn’t want to deliver my gate which I have been waiting for a month and a half. The rudest employees I’ve ever met. Sad sad sad. Wish there was another company that would’ve done a better job. Truly disappointed in this company. I would never ever use them again not would I recommend them.

My Costco delivery was shipped by YRC. The delivery guy, Gary AKA Bone was AMAZING! He called me when he was on his way to my home, as I had requested, so I could meet him there. He also waited for me to arrive, and he helped me, in the pelting down pouring rain, get my 550+ pound delivery item to a dry location, which I would not have been able to do without his help, considering the 4-wheeled hand truck I had purchased was too small to fit the pallet my order was on. Gary simply went well above and beyond all I could ask, and he was so courteous, helpful, kind, efficient, and just overall, Awesome! I could not have asked for a better delivery person. He deserves a raise and an extended paid vacation from YRC. Thank you for your immense help, Gary AKA Bone; you are a huge blessing!

I had tried to set up a delivery for the past several days. They were supposed to drop it off at a moving company who would then deliver it to me since YRC doesnt have a truck small enough to deliver to my location.The delivery guy didnt even attempt to deliver it because he had info from the dock that stated the business closed at 1pm. I had someone there all day long who was waiting for the delivery. Again, the delivery guy didnt even try to go by to see if they were open/closed. He just assumed they were closed and went back to Orlando with my shipment. They now can not deliver it until Tuesday since it is a Holiday weekend.I think they should have better communication between their dock and driver and/or the driver should actually attempt to make the deliver even though he may have info that the business is closed.

Excellent service and delivered exactly when promised. Tracking was up to date. Product shipped from Vegas, NV to.FL. I used on-line chat when I had a question and BrendaC answered promptly. Driver was corteous and helped me more than expected.

Added charges after the fact 2x ! Paid first time, will not pay more. Tried to tell me a 48 crate was 60 ! AND DESTROYED ONE CRATE ! I ship all the time. First and LAST time I ship with this carrier. Havent returned calls or emails. THE WORST !!!!!

If i could enter in 0 stars i would.Very unprofessional and rude customer service. Missed delivery time not once, but twice. Then told me it was my fault. They had the correct address from the start, finally the customer service rep told me she had made a mistake with the driver and it will be delivered tomorrow. We will see..
