If there were any other choices for high speed internet providers, I would have chose something else. Prices are outrageous for the services the provide compared to competitors and you only get the good deals if your in a neighborhood with competitive services. Otherwise they just take you through the ringer.

The recent storm took out the cable from the pole to the house. They said the appointment was on Thursday and we waited around all day…nothing. Then they said Saturday, again we waited around all day…nothing. Sunday I got a text stating the appointment was on hold and to call. After calling, the agent said, “they’ll get there when they get around to it,” then she HUNG UP! Still getting charged from Cox with no service, and getting charged $15/gig of overage from Verizon. Horrible service!

I realize there is equipment in my back yard, is needed for multiple homes and not just my own. But its still my yard. And the privacy of my home is exposed. A courtesy doorbell with a note attached (ask the post office or FedEx, theyll teach you how) saying how you will be on my property, just might save your technicians life. Especially today!

0 stars is what i wish i could select. Future field techs beware. Place is all around a good place to work and grow. However if you hope on getting raises they are based off of surveys. Needless to say i worked in a part of town that nobody ever completed a survey so that means no raises for me. When approaching my supervisor to switch parts of town to work in so i could grow within the company i was immediately shut down and not helped because only way i could do that is if I moved. Which is so realistic right?? Their policies are just as bad as their prices. Any field technicians make sure you move to a good part of town before applying. Because after the fact i left and tried to get a hold of human resources there is no possible way to reach them to plead my case. Now that i moved to a good part of town and have a chance at moving up in blacklisted from ever being hired again. So sad to treach people this way.

Cox charges you for a “line of internet” for every extra modem you use in your own home. So cox will rent out cable boxes with only rental fees however if you want to run your own home communication; Cox will stick it to you. Thanks for your help during this CV19 home school.

I am extremely disappointed with Cox s lack of support and respect for their customers. Seriously thinking of switching to another service provider. The technician was supposed to come and I waited and waited just to get an email that the appointment was cancelled because nobody was home, although I was home waiting for them.I am checking my options now seriously.

Ed DaltonChristie (please forgive any misspelling) of the Cox staff in Omaha, Nebraska, did an exceptional job of assisting me and my 90-year-old father whose telephone service was interrupted today. I dont live with dad but rather in a nearby state and do my best to manage his affairs from a distance. When I explained to Christie that this is an upsetting time for him because the church he has attended for many years is closing this weekend, she went out of her way to track down information that was instrumental in getting dads service back online. Shes a wonder and Cox is fortunate to have her representing them. Thanks so much.

Tempted to give less than 3 stars but only had one really bad experience. Besides that once, internet service has been very fast and reliable, which is all I need from them. Rates arent too bad. They let you enroll in auto-pay on a CC, which means we build up points and rewards on our CC every time we pay our bill. Fewer and fewer companies allow this so kudos to Cox in that area at least. The reason I took off two stars was because of the apparently HORRIBLE internal communication in their offices regarding my transfer of service when we moved.1st Communication: Needed to transfer service to our new home and it was VERY simple: After just a few moments of working with her, the cust. serv. lady told me that I was set up and all I had to do was hook up my modem/router at the new house and it would automatically transfer. I asked them about a discount since I was moving and they indefinitely pulled about $7 off my monthly bill. Great, Ill take it!Had service no problem for about 2 months.2nd Communication: Suddenly, in the middle of some important online work, my internet cut out without warning and I could not get it to work. It was too late in the evening to call cust. serv. so I used their online chat (via my cell data obviously). The lady I was chatting with could not find my name associated with my new address, only the old one. I told her I had had internet at the new address for two months now and she was at a TOTAL LOSS and said that was not possible.... What the heck, people????? She had no idea what was going on and basically told me there was nothing she could do because the people who could help me were gone for the night... Which means I lost all my online work on my computer.3rd Communication: The next day I called in to the people who could presumably help me and the guy on the phone said the exact same thing as the lady I had chatted with: He had no remote idea how I could have had service at the new address and saw nothing on my account that indicated that was the case. Long story short, he had to set me up on an entirely new account and cancel my old one and made it sound like that was how it was supposed to work in the first place. I asked about my earlier promised discount and he was just as confused at that and saw no indication in his system about it, but told me he would send a note (or whatever) to the whatchamacallit department to make sure it was all transferred correctly. SURPRISE SURPRISE I am definitely not receiving my promised discount but dread calling them again to straighten it out.So basically I was receiving service at my new address with a new reduced monthly bill and then all of the sudden it all went away and no one at Cox had any idea what was going on or how it all happened. What a joke...Since then, however, I have had no internet problems besides the very occasional loss during a storm or something, but 99% of the time it has been very reliable and fast for gaming, videos, and downloads, and I am only on their 2nd tier of speed.Overall, very satisfied with their *internet* service, but very dissatisfied with their *customer* service.

Im in town visiting my parents. At this time I noticed their high speed internet was much slower than dialup.I contacted Cox support, via chat. The Agent was Chrystal. i explained the situation to her & advised I was here helping my parents, both in their 80s. I requested the issued be resolved before I leave, the following day. She was very understanding & scheduled a tech to come to the house, that very dayOur tech, Scott came that afternoon during the scheduled time. Even though he wasnt late, he called to let us know when he would arrive. Upon arrival, he was VERY kind & helpful. Not only did he check the indoor equipment, he checked all of the outside equipment & changed out all of the outdated equipment, fittings & cables. Scott went above & beyond anything we expectedIf I could give Chrystal & Scott 10 stars I would. Kudos to these 2 Cox employeesAs a daughter who lives so far away, it makes me feel so much better, knowing my parents are well taken care of by CoxBarb Joannsen

My father is 85 years old and lives in Valley and relies on his land-line as his only communication. His phone service went out two days ago, he called them and did not offer to help. They said to reset the modem. He said the neighbor had a COX truck out, a service tech got up on the pole and was working, ever sense that time, the phone has not worked. It is not the modem! I called at 7:30 am this morning, they were supposed to expedite a technician, but put the work order in for 10-12 on Monday morning. Its 8:48pm Sunday and his phone is still not working. A month later cox charged me again the same amount for the cable box even though it showed i returned the box and I have the receipt. This time Cox took the money ouy of my checking account. I thought that being a loyal customer they would refund my money quickly and efficiently. By far thee worst company in my entire life i have ever dealt with. They act ad though they have never even talked to me about this complaint. The several, about 5 supervisors i have talked to said they were filling out paperwork forms and submitting them so that i could be refunded via check which woyld get to me about 4 weeks out because I used my checking accouny number not my debit card. The refund had yet to be even accepted or seen. I was left with a negative balance of over $300 in my account. Its hard enough to survive on a good wage nowadays.i d9nt know what to do....i seriously feel hopeless and i now owe even morw money to the peraon 9 borrowed from because i literally had no money. I want to sue them for the time I have wasted talking to them, trying to figure out how i xan manage my life with zero money, how to get money, and the extreme stress it has cause 9n not jusr me but my family and my job. I just dont undersrand how they can get away with doing this to people. Its not fair and I was being fair t9 them and f8ving them the benefit of the doubt but they have royally screwed me.
