I attend the group exercise classes at this YMCA and could not be more happy! One of the best instructors, Missy Simmons, really pushes me and keeps me motivated with her workout routines! Ive also loved the Turbo Kick classes offered and the Total Body Pump with Laurie. I take my kids to the pool to free swim and for swimming lessons! My favorite part about the swimming lessons is, when the instructors talk to each of the parents after each class with how our children are doing, performance wise, in the class. I will always be a YMCA supporter!

Great location, right in the middle of town & close to many businesses.This Ymca is clean & each staff member I crossed was welcoming as I was a new face to their location.Body pump as always is a great class to tone every part of the body, with many level of participants in the Thursday morning class!!Will be back when in the area!

Good selection of sports for all age groups. Competition level is just right.

The programs are great for getting kids exposure to various sports and teaching them fundamentals, teamwork, etc.

Facility is very clean. Great front line staff, very helpful. Look forward to the group classes geared for seniors. Had first training session and it was excellent.

I love this Y. It’s just great and family friendly. I love the older people that work out too, an inspiration to move now so you can move tomorrow! Those Zumba gals, wow! Awesome!My story…I was regular… yoga, body pump (my favorite class), free weights and cardio pre Covid, but I moved 20 minutes away and tried a gym closer. Covid came and I never went back. I got so tired and off my game. I needed to find fitness again for mind, body snd spirit.After a long self talk I knew I just had to get back to my Y. When classes started opening up, I jumped back in. So glad I did. Friendly staff, good quality equipment and classes! I love group fitness, it’s what keeps me coming back. I love bodypump, it’s amazing! Other newer things I like…The app for checking in, no more nasty key fob. Also, the virtual classes, I’ve checked into one and like it. I hope to do others on off gym days.Trust yourself, know yourself. I thought a closer gym would be great, it was real nice but it had few classes, so when the bad Roma came, I just stopped because I had no love for lonely workouts. I AM A GROUP FITNESS PERSON! It’s not the distance, because I make the drive happily. It’s knowing what I like and that I’m a Y girl at heart. Glad to be back at home!

Love the DanceFit and Zumba classes! A great workout and also a fantastic, loving community!

My experience there has been horrible, I felt like I was being judged for what I was wearing from multiple of the staff members. I had loved going to the gym until these bad experiences. Now I feel discouraged and will not be returning.

Instructors are nice and classes are small. 😊

My wife and I have an eight and four year old, we enjoy the variety of activities offered for our whole family. We’ve played youth sports, attended the valentines father daughter dance, participated in group workouts, and have done personal training. Whether your a serious athlete or family, the Y has it all. Amber, my personal trainer, is the best trainer I’ve worked with and I’ve been around athletics all of my life. I also commend the staff for their friendliness and willingness to go above and beyond if you need help.

Staff are always pleasant. I wish that masks were mandated in the weight area as heavy breathing pushes out more molecules but I appreciate the sanitization practices.

My personal trainer is awesome! These workouts really keep me on track and responsible for my fitness as a retired senior.

The staff at Armbrust is wonderful, very supportive, and have worked very hard to keep the place clean and safe since COVID. Without the y, Id be much heavier and less healthy. Its a place I can feel safe to workout and feel good about myself.

Great place with loads of equipment for you to work out with. They have great trainers there to assist you at specific times if you are new or want to try something new. Also really cool classes there as well. Love the swimming pool and the lane size is really nice for 2 people to swim in

I love the variety of classes and the instructors are very motivating and encouraging! The ability to take my kids to Y-care while I workout is so helpful. We also love the pool, its a great family activity! All of the staff are always friendly when we come!

Ashley has made our experience wonderful. She returns calls and emails quickly and has been great at helping us schedule two different classes at nearly the same time and day. Thank you! Definitely goes above and beyond the norm. She is in incredible asset.

There are so many fun programs here to help you de-stress and get into shape. The entire staff is friendly and ready to help you out if need be. It’s a great environment and I will proudly recommend this establishment and give it five stars!

Moved from out of state almost a year ago and got a membership here. This YMCA seems to have the best staff out of the lot but their GYM is extremely cramped; even during slow times, just a few bodies makes it feel overwhelmed.Very nice equipment, pool seems nice but also extremely crowded. Have not tried the locker rooms due to comments on them being dirty.The Y Play is really nice but they rely heavily on the TV. Staff in Y Play are very nice, too.

The Y is a great place for families! Welcoming, helpful, clean, and inviting, they have something for everyone. The staff that I have encountered have been very nice. I also like that my kids can go without me and be safe.

I like the location of this YMCA in Armbrust area. They huge big parking place. No need to worried about parking your vehicle. The stuffs are nice and friendly.

Went to open membership. Facility is ok, best for bucks. Support team seems reasonably good, but definitely not as I expected, told me good promotion is on it way for thanksgiving will become a member soon , mainly for my daughter swimming classes hopefully she will learn something. Will share my experience in another review after few months.

They were very nice &the pool was perfect not the tiled floor which tends to be slippery. They also let me use their aqua equipment which 2 pools Ive been to wont even after I explained why. It was easier to get to NO STAIRS I glad I moved to this area as its very close to my home.

Nice location with updated equipment. The treadmills are some of the nicest I have used. Decent weights facility as well. Chose to go here for the friendly atmosphere as opposed to other gyms I have gone to.

The staff here is always friendly and ready to answer any questions you might have. The sports the offer for the kids are great and wont break the bank. Plenty of exercise equipment as well to get a good workout in too.

Great equipment, friendly staff, and lots of classes. Not a ton of weight lifting machines, but more than makes up for it with excellent racks, benches, and deadlift platforms. Can be busy depending on the time of day, but the regulars are friendly

Everything I need for a good workout. Friendly staff. No large towels so grab extra small ones or bring your own for a shower.

The pool staff here were so cool. They stayed an extra couple minuets so I could get my BSA mile swim.

Always packed. Parking is rough. Dead spots all over the basketball court.

Overall the staff was helpful and friendly, and the gym equipment was adequate. The lockers are not cleaned to a very high standard while I was a member. There were bugs in the shower ceilings every night. One night there was human feces in the soap holder of the shower. I also had my Apple Watch stolen by the cleaning crew. I tracked it down later, it turned up in the cleaning closet, tucked way back in the latex glove box. Staff was apologetic, and they fired the cleaning service and decided to hire in house for it.Other quick notes: Swimming lanes are always pretty packed. The child care option was very handy.

Always clean, always friendly service, have one of the best summer camp programs around that wont break the bank. All the staff care about the kids and have a great time.

Good family pricing. Locker rooms are very small. The family restrooms need work. The pool is really great with zero entry and the swimming instructors do a fantastic job with little kids.

The pool water is pretty cold at the beginning of the week. Later in the week is better for bringing little ones.

Facility itself is ok, but Ive been a member for several months now and literally every time I drop my son off, they plant him in front of the tv. If I wanted him to watch tv the whole time I was working out I would just leave him at home 😒 I understand that theyre not a licensed daycare, but they exert a little more effort than simply turning not he tv for the kids.

I like to spend time with my children at YMCA. They always enjoy their time at the pool.

The pool and swimming staff are the most welcoming. My kids have taken lessons other places, but have had the most fun and learned the most here. Cant say enough great things about them.

I wish when my girlfriend and I join there they would have told us that they have swimming lessons almost every night of the week in the evening and you can never go swimming there.

Recently upgraded the elliptical area & weight room area, pool runs a little cool, lots of programs for kiddos, nice staff!

The gym has a lot of different types of equipment, a stair machine, treadmills, stationary bikes. There is a 0 entry swimming pool and TaeKwon Do classes that I have used, they take reports of broken equipment seriously and always are interested in helping!

Its pretty nice however for the past couple weeks there have been flies in the shower so they apperently never clean it

Great small gym! The hours are a bit unfortunate since I usually get off of work late, but the membership is cheap, especially if youre a college student or you get a family plan.

This Y has nice equipment, however it gets extremely busy during peak hours with limited parking, treadmills, benches, etc. Unfortunately, locker rooms appear less than sanitary and showers are hardly functional, likely related to the facility being overwhelmed.
