Got my dogs groomed here for the first time, and they did a great job! Low-stress environment, and they handled my crazy half-mini-Aussie so well.I included before and after photos.(Full disclosure, I work on the retail side)

Thank you for all your help! First of all, my dog Leila was groomed there for the first time last Friday. She is 12. This is the 1st time she came out from being groomed and was not stressed! ❤️😃. That was so comforting! The staff took so much time explaining why Leila could be having some issues she has been having. We found a new dog food. She is a very picky eater. She ate it, loved eat, even though she didnt love all the treats, we found a few different ones she likes. I cannot express how happy I am with my visit and I feel so much better that I am feeding my little girl a healthy dog food!

Being as I moved back to Omaha recently and my prior groomer was no longer in business, I sought out LDFC based on their good reviews. As the location at Village Point very near me is not taking new clients, I opted for the branch off Center. My appointment was to be with Megan this past Saturday, and arrived 15 minutes early. While walking around the store browsing, I was asked if I needed help to which I let them know I was looking since I was so early. The young guy at the counter stated he tried calling me, to which I checked and had no missed calls. He then went, that the groomer called just then and he was going to get ahold of me because she called in sick. I was rather upset that this was less than 15 minutes before my scheduled time, as I had planned my travel and day around this. Had I been given a heads up, it would of been different. He got very rude, started laughing and said it is what it is. There was no sense of understanding or common courtesy. I decided to wait to reschedule with a different groomer (as I had this app booked in advance), and tried calling other locations to speak to a manager. Village Point wouldnt tell me when a manager would be in, and Mid-Town I actually got the store owner. I explained to him what happened--he took my number, saying he would check into it and get back to me. Its been several days and I have heard nothing from him.Ive always enjoyed shopping at this store, but due to this experience and the way I was treated there as well as after, I do not trust my dog with them, nor will I be shopping at their branches anymore. I will take my business to other small deserving owners.

I love the variety of natural and quality food and treats here, being a first time dog owner they always help out with our needs. Today I took my pup to get his nails trimmed with Emily, she did amazing and kept my pup comfortable as well as got his nails nice and smooth. All of the staff is amazing as well, very friendly and knowledgeable.

Just went in to get some treats for my senior dogs last birthday and the staff was so sweet and helpful! They had a great selection of treats: cookies, cupcakes, meat sticks, bones. Weve gotten pupcakes elsewhere and were unimpressed but these were soft and crumbley just like a human cupcake. We will most definitely be back!

I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with my visit to this store.When I arrived to the store I wasnt greeted. I had to approach both employees at the time to get help instead of being greeted and offered help when entering the store. I was going into the store for my dogs very first scheduled nail trimming appointment at this location so it was all kinda new to me. Before I knew it some Billy Eilish look alike came over and snatched my dog from me and proceed to walk towards the back of the store. My dogs leash was still attach to his harness and still wrapped in my hands and she was already walking toward the back of the store! I had to mention the fact of taking the leash off just so she could actually proceed! She didnt try greeting my dog. She didnt try saying hello to me or my wife . She didnt mention where she would be taking him or where the nail cutting room was located. It was just snatch and go from the second she saw him. Now keep in mind this is my VERY first time at this location and first impressions do matter a whole lot especially when youre dealing with some elses pet. If I could rate half a star or even no stars at all, I would definitely do it.

I love LDFC! They helped me get my dog onto a great probiotic and food to completely cut out his allergies.What I need is always in stock, the staff are super friendly, and the prices are comparable to other local chains.

Very friendly and helpful employees. Large selection of healthful dog foods and treats. Its a clean and organized store. They have a self-serve bathtub for dogs which is supplied with gentle oatmeal shampoo & conditioner, towels and a dryer for long-haired dogs.I really appreciate that employees all wear masks and request that customers please wear a mask too.

Every time we go they are so helpful and friendly! Always have great suggestions for new food and treats, and a huge selection of sweaters for big dogs! That is so hard to find, especially when Ive got an 80 pound dog and a 100 pound dog! We buy all our dog food and treats here!

Our Clinic had an Open House the owner came out and set up booth to let people know his locations and what they sell and do. We had so many nice comments from people about how nice he was and they were pleased to know what he had to offer. I recently visited this store and could not find a specific size of the cat food I was there to buy. When I asked the clerk, he directed me to the clearance section where he explained that I could purchase the food *past the best buy date* at a discounted rate but I would need to use it within a shortened time frame. I left without purchasing anything and visited another local pet store and found the same brand/size cat food at full price with the same best buy date. Had the clerk at Long Dog Fat Cat not checked and explained the situation to me, I would have bought the same product at full price elsewhere and ended up with a sick cat some months from now. I dont think Ill be shopping anywhere else from now on. Amazing customer service.

Great store that has my dogs favorite brand on chews. Reasonable prices in bulk treats. Dogs are welcome, but many items are stored at dog level, so if your dog has poor self control be aware.

Great place for healthy food for you animals. Had a great selection of dry food but I went for raw, dehydrated and pre mix for dogs and they did not have a big selection. I also could not find the prices on stuff easily.

We scheduled an appointment to have our dog groomed. When we arrived, we were told that the groomer had gone home not feeling well. Then we were asked if we had missed their phone call (we had no missed calls, they didnt call anyone).In an attempt to give them another shot, we asked if we could reschedule and were told maybe you could check out one of the other groomers around?Thanks. We will.

I have been a long time customer of Long Dog Fat Cat, and ever since Three Dog Bakery removed themselves from the local industry, LDFC has been my only shopping source for my two dogs. However, with recent concerns of some less-than-helpful staff members and my most recent experience...Ive decided to try elsewhere. Im glad I did.LDFC has good prices and good quality food (similar in both categories from my experiences at Three Dog Bakery) but the staff seems to on a decline as I rarely ever see anyone doing anything other than sitting behind the check out counter waiting for you to come to them. (Its a pet food store so I dont expect that, but it wasnt always that way)Today however, has pushed me away from walking in their doors again. Twice this week I reached out to schedule an appointment for today for me to bring my dog in to get his nails trimmed. Monday the groomer is not in, and the person who answered the phone wasnt sure if anyone was even coming in that week. After stumbling over his words and unconfidently stating no appointments are necessary, he gave me the number to the groomer (Sarah) who might be in this week, so I gave her a call. Her voicemail answered with an unorganized mess of details informing me that she only operates business 4 days a week (sometimes 5), So i leave a message and ask her to call me back. The next morning, I promptly receive a call back as her business hours take effect and she assures me that for a nail clipping that no appointment is necessary, walk ins are only accepted for those but she assured me that someone would get me right in. *Cue my skepticism*Fast forward to today (Thursday @ 2pm~) when I walk in the doors with my doggo, and ask to have his nails trimmed. There is no coordination between the check out staff and the groomer I see as she walks me back to the groomers station with confusion on her face, not knowing what to tell me. We get back there and she states that I am here for a nail clipping and to which the groomer immediately states that it will be at least 15 minutes~. I immediately ask, Why couldnt I just make an appointment? and to which the groomer snapped back We have no idea when well have time! Im no expert, but something tells me that part of scheduling appointments is an effort to prevent this kind of issue. Regardless, I repeated myself asking why I couldnt just make an appointment so this wasnt an issue, to which her voice raised IM NOT GOING TO JUST LEAVE THIS WET DOG IN THE BATH.At this point, I had long since decided I was going elsewhere as basic scheduling seems to a service they refused to offer and thats ok, but the horrible attitude I received really just pushed me away. I was instantly infuriated that this was acceptable, and even when I asked the associate who took me to the back why I couldnt just make an appointment to avoid this, she just responded with its walk ins only.This post isnt for entertainment or accuse anyone of not performing their job correctly, its simply to help one or more persons avoid the stresses of a place that is unorganized and struggling to meet customer expectations. I called around a couple places in the area and after talking to a few of them, i decided to head down the road and check out The Green Spot. I arrived about 10 minutes after the phone call, and someone had beaten me to the appointment and that was ok, because when I got to that store it was very very clear that Long Dog Fat Cat was no longer a place that deserved my attention or money. Ive been recommending LDFC for years to friends and family, but after on stop at The Green Spot today I will be sending my business there.
