All of the employees and the service department are very excellent at what they do. They have always been helpful throughout all 3 of my childrens musical careers.

I went to the store this morning to purchase some piano sheet music and to learn about their Trial Purchase Plan. Andrea (the store manager) was very patient. She spent time to explain all the details and to show me different instruments they carry. I’m addition, she was courteous, polite, and friendly. I will definitely visit this store again in the future.

Schmitt is a very welcoming and clean music store. Not only is it welcoming, but also the people who work there are insightful, patient, and friendly. At Schmitt, youre treated like family. They also have a wide selection of sheet music and instruments to suit any musicians needs. I purchased an acoustic piano that was delivered yesterday, and was very satisfied with the quality and care from the delivery service crew.

First instrument of mine was from Schmitt. I’ve stopped in a few times just to look around, and they do allow you to try the instruments in store if you have played them before. Staff was helpful and seemed knowledgeable. There’s a limited selection and provides a simple array of general products. Quite a bit of sheet music and educational books are also available. Great store.

First time coming in looking for sheet music some items for a guitar and questions about a cello staff acted like it was an inconvenience to deal with me. The lady in front of us wanted some things she had called about staff was very put out sorting out what she was talking about. Very sad this looked like a nice place at least I wasn’t in a bind coming in here.

We went to Schmitt Music for my sons first instrument and the service was outstanding. They really took care of him and made sure he was well equipped with his new Trumpet and booklet!

Great experience here! My son came in to try out trumpets, we spent probably 2 hours just playing them and trying different mouthpieces, etc. Andrea, the store manager, was really helpful and gave my son some great suggestions so he could pick the instrument he wanted. He is very pleased and so were we!

Recently purchased a new digital piano from Schmitt Music. The piano specialist Scott was very helpful pointing us towards a good introductory model for our family to grow with. Delivery was easy. We had a issue with a speaker and they have a repair person coming out to take a look. Prompt, knowledgeable and good follow though. I would buy from them again.

This place has everything you could need for a starter band student and seemed to have a big music selection (in terms of music books). The prices were reasonable compared to Amazon and other music shops around town. The parking lot is a little weird to get in and out of. Other than that, it is great! I do love that they remain in an older building! Gives it character!

Disappointed! We rented a trumpet from them for years where we own it. I called to ask approximately what it would be worth and the gentleman who just answered would not give me any information over the phone. I then asked for a price for a new one and he kept trying to get me to come in. I said can you just give me an idea of a new price and he said he couldnt find his sheet. Very, either unknowledgeab or unwilling to take the time to help a previous customer since they werent going to make money on this Deitze Music on West Center provided a general range in a second. Call them instead. Much better attitude and customer service.

I had a great first experience at this shop. My daughter and i got great one on one service. They spent time with us showing instruments and how to determine a good fit, etc. The service was there when you needed the but also allowed to wonder without anyone hovering!Great Store, Great prices, and Fantastic customer service. Went there to contemplate buying a piano. We left with a piano. Very happy with our purchase. Lots of choices and we were allowed space to try a few privately. Someday Ill upgrade to a baby grand and Ill be back.

Great group of people happy to help and excited to get the new younger kids started in music. They have a great variety of instruments from brass like trumpets, French horns, and trombones to drums, guitars and various other items you need for your instruments. Used and new.

Our daughter has had her cello through Schmidt for 2 years. They have been great about upsizing as needed and answering all our questions. So glad we rented through Schmidt!

Palmer Music in Lincoln, an associate store for Schmitt Music, has been wonderful to work with. In the past 4 months, we have purchased a baritone horn, had a trumpet serviced and cleaned, and purchased a mouth piece for the trumpet. Each time I have been in the store I have experienced prompt and knowledgeable service from Kevin and/or Matt!

Courteous and knowledgeable staff. Removed a stuck mouthpiece from my trumpet for free. Wow. Put a $20 in the tip jar and said a thank you to the universe that good people and places still exist.

The second I walked in the door help was on the way. I was looking for a full sized keyboard with real feel keys and found what I wanted in minutes, and at an unbeatable price. Love this place! Ive been there twice and theyve been super friendly and helpful each time, even going above and beyond to assist me. They also have an awesome no-risk, lease-to-own type program for their student instruments, which is great for me because Ive always wanted to try the cello but dont want to waste thousands on something I may not like. Definitely worth checking them out!

I have not visited a music store in over 20 years, but thought I would take up playing my saxophone again. I went in to buy some new reeds and Louis could not have been more friendly and helpful and offered outstanding customer service. Not only did he help me find what I needed he offered me suggestions of other services as well as told me about in-store specials that were going on I would have had no idea about. Louis offered amazing customer service, made it a wonderful shopping experience and I will definitely be going back to this store rather than shopping online the next time I need something.

Andrea was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgable when I called about purchasing an intermediate oboe for my daughter. She provided several oboes for us to try so that my daughter could choose the instrument that was a good fit for her. She provided above and beyond customer service. Took my trumpet in to get it chem cleaned, and they went above and beyond. Rolled out the dents, replaced a missing piece, and put in fresh rubbers. Reasonably priced, and actually human staff. I plan on going here again for my other brass instruments down the road.

Stuff is a little pricy, but thats likely just because they stock mostly higher quality equipment than what I am shopping for at the moment! Great store to browse if you want high end stuff or nice starter gear!

Very bad experience, staff talked through their nose to me and treated me terrible for not knowing as much as they did. I bought some accessories (from them) that they apparently would not have recommended but didnt say anything until I came back a few weeks later. Of course I had opened them so I could not return it.

Staff is courteous & nice. I was greeted immediately & they were open & honest in telling me they did not carry electric guitars in the Omaha Store, despite that the website says they carry Fender, Epiphone and Ibanez. They did have a boxed Fender starter set that came with an amp, but nothing out of the box that you could pick up and get a feel for. I just didnt like the idea of buying an instrument that I never held in my hands. They did have a small section of acoustic guitars if that is your thing, but dont go there looking for an electric. I had read a review that said dont go there for guitars, but it didnt specify why. Hopefully this review saves someone else from wasting their time. Again staff was welcoming and nice, no complaints there.

This is our second year renting instruments from Schmitt Music for our son. He played cello last year, and this year he decided he wanted to make the switch to band. We traded in the cello yesterday for a baritone. The staff is always knowledgeable and courteous.

Just left your Omaha location 15 minutes ago. I took my youngest daughter to get her measured and setup for her first violin to join her schools elementary strings group. It was busy which I can understand but I stood there for over 20 minutes while other moms (mainly) cut in front of me to do the exact same thing. A couple went almost behind the counter to see if they could be helped or if they were in the right place. Instead of asking them to wait in line, they assisted them immediately. In fact, one employee saw me standing there with my daughter and deliberately ignored me and went to other moms to ask if they had been helped. Besides this complete disrespect, I believe that she ignored us because we werent white like all the other moms/parents in your store. There was one Asian mom and her daughter there at the same time and it took them forever before she was helped. We both did the polite and respectful thing by waiting for our turn, and your employees decided not to ignore that completely. Outside of being told bluntly and directly to my face that I should leave because of my heritage, this was the next worse example of racism I have experienced. I will be sending this to the BBB and anyone else who can help with your pathetic excuse of a company. Your employees were completely disorganized and had no order of what to do or how to do it. They should know that it will be crazy and be prepared. As a business owner myself, I prepare for by busy period accordingly.

I hate disinformation! I advised the sales rep. about my billing expectations up front. He advised me that it wouldnt be a problem, then suckered me into a contract which stated different in the small print. TAKE THE 30 MINUTES TO ACTUALLY READ THE ENTIRE CONTRACT!!! I have also discovered that the price points in this business are among the highest in the Omaha Metro area-go elsewhere!

Its okay. This place is for buying pianos or renting band instruments. Go to Dietze or even guitar center for anything and everything else.

The guitar tech was knowledgeable and counter service is accommodating.
