Wow! What an awesome mecca for all things music. From instruments to sound equipment to everything in between this store knows their stuff! They also do instrument repair and checks so your gear works when you need it to. Staff is the best around and super helpful! A true joy every time I walk in!

Rich is very knowledgeable and does great work. He’s worked on both my main guitars and I couldn’t be happier. He actually called me while he had my bass and talked himself out of some work because he didn’t think it was necessary and he didn’t want to charge me for something I didn’t need, even though I had already asked him to do it. They also have a really nice selection of products, and a huge guitar wall. I will be back again!!

I had my first experience with Dietze in Omaha today and it was awesome. From the way I was greeted when I walked through the door, to the assistance I got from the staff, especially Chris Hartley, who not only took the time to give my guitar some love, he also completely and patiently explained what he was doing and why. That was huge to me. Chris Schrom, thanks for taking the time to chat, greatly appreciate it and I’ll definitely be in touch. Dietze will definitely be my go to from now on.

I had a couple things of the musical variety that really needed to be handled.Kid needed a 1/4 size violin for 4th grade Orchestra. Deitze on Center didnt have it but they offered to get one from the Bellevue store. They slapped a hold on one for me and I went and picked it up.They would have brought it to the Center store for me, but Im a procrastinating parent and waited to the last minute.I brought in one of my bass guitars to get the electronics fixed and get a good tune up. They called me the next business day and had it ready to go. Plays better than it ever has before. Brought in another bass when I picked this one up. Excited to pick it up and drop off another.Would 100% recommend Deitze.

You have to pay to get good music instruments, for us that meant into the thousands for our daughter. Dietzes pay as you go rent/ buy program is wonderful. No interest, just payments for a little over 2 years then we own it. If it doesnt work out in the first few months [child changes mind for instance] just return it, you are only out the monthly charges. They also have great instructors, people to repair instruments, and lower cost musical items (see photo). Great place!

Rich and Brandon are some of the best and most genuinely enthusiastic guitar techs in the area. They came highly recommended to me, and they went above and beyond what I had expected. With employees like them, I would definitely recommend checking Dietze Music out for anything you might need done to your stringed instruments.

As a musician myself, I highly recommend this company. Dietze is a great place to shop, a great place to look, and a great place for service.First, they have a remarkable selection of instruments and sheet music to choose from for just about any modern, mainstream instrument. They also have many different selections of teaching books for many different types of settings (professional, school, academic, etc.).Next, the staff is very friendly and I have come to know many of them. They are great at answering questions and know their product very well. There is almost always a professional or trained musician for each type of instrument that can answer technical questions.The store is very large so there is room to browse and still room to move - especially in the age of COVID. And, there is even a repair shop within the store that has a very quick turnaround with repairs.Overall, this is my favorite place for music and I will always return.

Chris Schrom is amazing. My son is very shy and he took to Chris right away. Hes learned so much already. Hes gained so much potential from Chriss amazing guitar playing and teaching skills. He really is impressive.

I feel like google has already promoted me to review this location. Pretty cool place, Ned is great, checks on you when youre browsing but isnt intrusive. One time, he encouraged me to go into the amp room to test a Tele out at volume. He offered me a special deal on it, too. I still havent bought it but it is still there months later. If I knew they would replace it with another lefty, Id feel a little more inclined to buy it but, without at least one lefty, I wouldnt have a reason to go in anymore lol

I have only gone to Dietze once and that was to have my guitar cleaned and the action lowered; with that being said, Rich in repair is the only staff member I interacted with but he was very polite and professional; he also knew his stuff and I can tell he genuinely likes what he does. The best customer service comes from a person who truly enjoys what they do! The pricing was also extremely reasonable. I recommend him for guitar/instrument repair needs. Thanks, Rich and Dietze!

This is a review for Rich, as I havent purchased much through Dietze, except strings, pedals, and other smaller misc items. I have brought all of my instruments to him over the years for pro setups and repairs. The dude is one of the nicest guys in the industry, and his knowledge/experience is absolutely stellar. Being an ERG (7 and 8 string guitars) guy, it was quite difficult to find someone that didnt fear such instruments. I had unfortunate experiences as Russos before they closed (was literally laughed at with guitars dont come in 7-strings!!) and Guitar Center. Rich had no problem working on these guitars, and provided the BEST setups Ive ever had on them. Perhaps the most appreciated aspect of this guru of guitars is that he has no problem sharing his knowledge with his clients. The fact that he works on literally anything from school band instruments to nearly destroyed metal machines makes his value absolutely priceless. Hes the only reason why I went to Dietze, and now that Ive moved out of state Im missing his work, but have thankfully learned enough from him to keep my guitars maintained on my own. THANK YOU RICH!!!

Cool and helpful staff

Tony was very helpful and went out of his way to assist me with a trade in deal, very helpful individual. I’m not gonna sit here a bash anybody but they know what they did. I actually doubled my money elsewhere so it was a favor really. I did feel like I was being kicked out of the store and even though the trade deal fell through I had 300 in my pocket was still considering buying the bass, but my amp was switched off. Whatever though, Tony did his job well.

Had a repair that needed done on my guitar and my local shop in Iowa was clueless. Took it to Rich here and was beyond impressed. He was professional, informative, and gave me countless different options of repairs that would fit in my budget. This store is about 2 hours away from home, but I will always bring my gear here in the future.

Walked in on a sunday, greeted twice, took a look around. It is definitely a higher end shop, lots same stuff you can find anywhere, unless you are looking for horns, those can be hard to find but they actually have a section for this. Huge sheet music section, somewhat lacking in bass guitar and percussion and like i said a lot of the same looking guitar. One last thing, usually the employees of shops like this are sycophants and only care about one aspect of music in general, this place actually had someone tuning the ukes which i really appreciate, nothing like picking up a tuned instrument.

I have shopped here for 20+ years and always been treated like royalty. I have also observed the customer service they provide their other customers while I am in there shopping at they are the very best! I teach music so I am usually shopping the sheet music area at the front of the store, but on occasion I also wander back to the keyboards and the guys (mostly!) back there are just as friendly and helpful! I never hesitate to send my students to Dietze to pick up music and supplies and also refer my piano students to the guitar and instrumental teachers there as well. BRAVO Dietze Music!

I love this shop. Ive purchased several guitars here, and Ive taken lessons here for about a year. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I usually go here once or twice a week just to window shop, and theyre always very accommodating with letting me look at things and answer questions. Their string instrument repair tech, Rich, recently re-strung one of my guitars, and took the time to show me the entire process and answer all my questions so I could do it myself.

Dietze is the best. Ive been going here my entire musical life and have not once come even close to a bad experience. They are always kind, thoughtful, and willing to help. The staff are people who are truly knowledgeable (from the person at the cash register to the people fixing equipment). Its a music store first and foremost. They arent trying to sell you something you dont want or need. Instead, they take the time to find out about what you do and then help figure out what you need to accomplish your music endeavors. Dietze is and always will be #1 in my book.

Dietze is so great!! If youre looking for sheet music do not go anywhere else. The staff is always so friendly and they have a whole crew of excellent instructors.The amount of instruments they have in-stock is impressive! They also make a point to carry some not-so-common versions of guitars, basses, etc., which I think is just great!

Ive had guitars repaired here and they always do a great job. They tell you exactly what they are going to do and what it will cost. A couple of times the repair guy explained how I could do it myself which I did. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. They dont mind when I test the merchandise either.

Dropped my guitar off for an all around tune up and Rich got it done super quick! Love the guys here theyre always super friendly.

Helped me find a good guitar for a great price. All the employees are really friendly and helpful and know their stuff. They treated me like a regular from the first day I walked in. My guitar instructor, Matt Manning, is phenomenal. He is extremely patient and I have learned a lot from him.

They gave me all the time in the world to test out four different mouthpieces in one of their lesson rooms. Purchasing a mouthpiece from them was actually cheaper than buying one online, plus I had the benefit of trying it out myself! The workers are friendly and quick to help. This will be my go-to store. The only drawback is they dont seem to carry my reeds. Otherwise, great.

A wonderful store with a guitar staff who would love to talk about music. I took lessons here with Bill and learned so much about my style and where i wanted to go with my electric guitar. The staff helped me find a new amp, a case, and gave me plenty of anecdotes and advice through casual conversation. Ill see them again for any of my guitar needs.

These guys save me time and time again. They are always helping me with issues whether its repairing a guitar that was broken due to a wind gust knocking over my guitar stand or making my $100 guitars sound like a million bucks due to constant tweaking. I love this place!

I went in to look at guitars and resonators, none of the acoustic guitars were tuned, or the resonators. They sounded terrible because they were so terribly off key. We asked a sales man for a tuner, he dug around for ten minutes. He stood next to me telling me the name of each guitar string while I tried to tune it, then said oops! This is on a ukulele. He kept interrupting me while I was trying to tune the resonator to tell me I was doing it wrong. We walked around for a good fifteen minutes before anyone talked to us. Im not a fan, and wasnt impressed with the salesman treating me like an idiot, thats E. Thats A. Then hed say, now stop. Youre doing this wrong.

VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES!!On March 12 I tried to exchange a 2ft guitar cable that I was told would be replaced NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I purchased said cable 1 day before. When I asked to exchange the cord, the young blonde gentleman proceeded to test. It worked for him, i took it home and have had the same problems. Finally, on March 22 i returned again, same blonde gentleman want to test it again insisting it worked, arguing over an 8 dollar cable. I assume the manager was the one who finally gave me a different cord.I try to shop local and get treated like this, youd think with Guitar Center right down the road they would be more customer oriented.

I purchased a Ukulele today, and the help I received was fantastic! I was assisted by Al and another gentleman. A great Ukulele was picked out for me based on my budget and what I was personally wanting. Ive been strumming for hours now! When it came to my many questions and lack of musical jargon, Al was able to walk and talk me through each and every one. I am so glad i chose to stop at Dietz and not a chain guitar store.I will definitely be returning for anything else I might need with my Uke and any other instruments I may look into in the future.

I went to this store prepared to buy a rather expensive guitar. I had been researching online & had questions about different pick up configurations.The young man helping me said I dont have time for this. Go look it uo on the internet.I dont recall ever being treated thus way at a retail store.Needless to say, I wont but from them, & if you are someone who thinks that customer service is important, you should go somewhere else. If not, I would suggest taking the clerks advice and look it up on the Internet...while your there, I would buy it from the internet as well.Im really taken aback by this level of unservice given me today.Dietz music has lost at least 1 customer today.
