KC Home Solutions was amazing. The work they did on our basement was top notch. They came in under projected budget and done sooner than quoted. Their project manager kept us informed on every step of the project and kept all subcontractors organized and on time. We always knew who would be working in our house and they did their best to stay out of our way. All employees were kind and highly skilled. We are looking forward to working with them again.

I have not used their services but I was researching them to see if I wanted to interview them for the whole home remodel project I have planned. I’ve been remodeling homes for 13 years now and the best advice I can give to people planning to hire work out - find out how the business treats the people who’ve had bad experiences with them. I have a whole home remodel planned and KC Home’s responses to the negative reviews they received tells me everything I need to know. The fact that they threw a final walk through in one customer’s face for their reports of problems after the work was done & they moved back in - wow. As if a home owner can’t discover problems after the fact. To say nothing of home owners who will sign whatever just to get a bad crew/company out of their home. And a good, honest company never blames someone else, they just fix it. Very unprofessional in how they handle the reviews. It’s never the good reviews that tell you what you need to know. I feel terrible for the people who have had such bad experiences, but thank you for letting us know.

Im not sure what these people are smoking or drinking. But Christine...or whatever her name was...quoted us 33k to build a 12x18 deck and around 100 feet of fencing. That is over 22k more than the next highest quote we have. If you value your dollar, this is not the place for you to do business. Absolutely absurd!

We are so grateful to have found KC Home Solutions for our remodel project! They had their work cut out for them, as we wanted to open up our 1960’s floor plan to include an updated kitchen, living room, dining space, and create a laundry room where one previously did not exist. KC Home Solutions walked us through the entire project and they were so organized, professional, and demonstrated great communication skills throughout the entire process. The 3D renderings that were drawn up prior to the remodel were so helpful in allowing us to envision our new space, and we appreciate how open and willing they were to tweaking the plan as the renovation unfolded. We were always made aware of any additional costs we were accruing and were given the chance to approve before any actions were taken. Our contractor’s attention to quality and detail was impressive. We are thrilled by the results and we never want to leave the house now! If we ever decide to finish our basement, we will definitely be contacting them again. KC Home Solutions did a full basement remodel for us. We had many different quotes for the work over several years while we planned for this work. They stood out to us as the group most willing to work with us on what we wanted that would fit our needs and our budget. Several other groups wanted to pitch us what they wanted to do and werent interested in even minor alterations in the initial quote.Nick, Dan, Michelle and all the workers that came out over the 8 week process were professional, kind and courteous. More than that, they were always upfront and honest about every part of the process. In a job as big as ours there are almost always things that come up as unforeseen obstacles or scope expansions. Our job had several of these, but Dan handled each one calmly with clear communication of our options and provided a professional opinion with no pressure to up-sell.There were many times when I needed advice about the best way to approach existing issues and the whole team always gave me options and answered the questions I had with patience and respect.I recommend this team to anyone looking for home solutions, big or small. KC Home Solutions just completed a major master bathroom remodel for my family. The entire team, from office to crew, is professional, caring, and courteous. They finished the project on time, and within the budget we had determined. And it we absolutely love the end result! We had a few minor setbacks, as with any project, but they communicated with us the entire time and we felt comfortable every step of the way. They even offered valuable tips to save money. They took care to respect and protect our home, arrived on time daily, and cleaned up at the end of each workday. All members of the crew were friendly, happy, and highly skilled. I am beyond pleased with the way my screened-in deck turned out. They used a newer screen and track system than what was originally quoted and it made the look seamless! They also installed a lattice wall under my deck for added privacy.The crew came to my house shortly before 8 am and was done by 4 pm. Fast, efficient and courteous. Overall, the project came in under the original quote even with the newer screen system. I will include KC Home Solutions for some of my future, home projects!

I am so impressed with this company. We needed a load bearing wall removed in an old ranch home and they took care of it while other companies wanted to rehab the whole room. Dan is the best foreman Ive worked with in KC. They are professional, reliable and dont spend my money. I have since had them come in and fix a poor roofing repair and their work was professional and fair. They follow up with everything to make sure Im happy. By far the best contractor for big or small jobs.

I hired KC Home solutions for several jobs including small handyman jobs, bathroom and basement updates, entire house interior painting to have my house ready for resale. I have nothing but amazing experience with everyone I worked with. From estimate to completion of jobs, everything was very smooth, organized and professional. Michelle was such a nice lady to work with scheduling and helping with picking out materials. Dan was my project manager and he was so knowledgeable, trustworthy and really listened and cared his clients. I had a very unfortunate nightmare with untrustworthy interior painter I hired previously quit and damaged my house 2 weeks before I was expecting to list my house. Not only quality of work but also time was really big matter to me. Fortunately, KC Home solutions was already working on my house with bathroom and basement update so I reached out to them right away. Dan and his team quickly came out for estimate, started next day and finished entire interior paintings within a week. Their team even worked Sunday night to make sure there was no delay with my schedule. KC Home Solutions literally saved my life and I am truly happy and impressed with all their efforts and quality of works. I highly recommend them to everyone, and I will definitely call KC Home Solutions again for my future projects.

We have hired KC Homes for 3 separate jobs over the span of the past 5 years and we have been absolutely thrilled! We opened up our main floor, did a complete deck build, and finished our basement. We worked closely with their whole crew who were always professional and very accommodating. We can’t recommend them to enough people and we even keep a stack of Nick’s cards on hand for visitors who are amazed by our homes transformations. Such an amazing experience working with KC home solutions! From the first phone call enquiring about an estimate to the day they showed up to first start working and all the way to the end when they finished our amazing looking new basement, they were professional the whole time. Jason our project manager was super helpful the whole time, answered any and all questions we had and updated us on progress almost daily. Very responsive and knowledgeable! This company is great to work with and affordable. I have recommended them several times for our real estate business and they have made our customers very happy.

This was a poor experience from start to finish. We did a sizeable renovation, but the project manager always seemed like he had more important things on his plate. We had problems right from the start. They destroyed cabinetry that wasn’t supposed to be removed, and they took down and lost multiple light fixtures. Bathroom tile was not laid correctly and had to be torn out and redone. Some new cabinetry was not built to spec, and some was delivered already damaged. Their painters in particular were terrible: they painted many areas that were not supposed to be painted, and did other areas in the wrong colors. They also used a much cheaper paint than what was in our contract. We finished 4 months ago and have paint cracking all over the house that will need to be redone. The one exception to these issues was our flooring. They used Legacy flooring for our hardwoods, and they did a very nice job. I would hire Legacy again directly, but would not recommend KC home solutions for anything.

Wow! Nick Shepard at KC Home Solutions is incredible! I get to work with a lot of Remodeling companies at Pella Products of Kansas City and its amazing to see the way they deliver on a home remodel or renovation project time after time. In fact (and they dont like to brag), they have won awards for their design and transformations. Nick and his team are creative, out-side the box thinkers, reliable, and trustworthy on every project. They are a breath of fresh air in this industry and its exciting to us to know there are still great businesses to partner with. When looking for a remodeling and renovation company, you dont need to look any further. Meet with them - youll be glad you did!

We had water damage on 11 cabinets and drawers. Nick and his team came out and took off the cabinets and had them completely sanded down and stained to match the original stain. My wife and I cannot be more satisfied with the work and the professionalism that KC Home Solutions has shown us. Thanks again for a job well done.

Excellent job ! They were diligent and professional in every way. I highly recommend this company.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. If I could give zero stars I certainly would do so. There are numerous things that occurred during our 4.5 month basement finish and main level re-model that we were not happy with but Ill simply give a few to give you an idea of how poorly this project was managed:1) I picked out paint colors yet KC Home Solutions decided to try and color match with a preferred paint supplier vs the brand I chose and the colors didnt match. This caused the custom speaker covers we had to not match. They didnt inform me they were doing this - they made this decision on their own with no input from me. They never used the correct paint. Our basement is still painted in colors that I didnt pick.2) They laid carpet early in the process and it took numerous texts, emails etc in order for them to protect it with plastic while their workers walked all over our new carpet in their work shoes/boots. Even after they laid plastic to protect the carpet they didnt protect all of it-just portions of it.3) Poor quality paint job-had to re-paint the basement twice and they argued with me about doing so even though the quality was poor.4) They scratched our new quartz counter tops and were unable to fix them to my liking but I gave up trying to get them fixed to my liking because I was tired of having people in my house non stop for 4.5 months.5) We moved back into our house on 4/27 after the main level remodel was done. Our kitchen floors started buckling on 4/29 so I had KC Home Solutions out to look at them. I was told by the Project Manager that I must have spilled water in that area and let it sit for several days so they couldnt do anything about this. I informed him that we had only been back in the house for only 2 days and I hadnt even wet mopped yet. He didnt reply. I decided to email the President of KC Home Solutions about this to which he didnt reply.6) They hooked our dishwasher back up incorrectly so it was leaking -they did come back out to fix this but when they did the plumber failed to put a clamp on the drain hose. When our new dishwasher arrived from NFM water started pouring out all over floor and they found that the drain hose was missing a clamp. I informed the President of KC Home Solutions about this and he stated that NFM was clearly incorrect and it was their fault that our old dishwasher was installed incorrectly and that they were clearly trying to cover something up.7) We ordered our bathroom vanity and I placed the 4 faucet that was to be installed in it on top of the vanity. Rather than use the 4 faucet sitting right on top of the vanity KC Home Solutions decided to go looking around our house and they found an 8 faucet that they installed in the vanity ...which didnt work and the vanity was damaged. So, they had to re-install an entire new vanity top and the 2nd time they used the correct faucet.There are least 20+ other items that occurred but I dont feel it necessary to list them as I feel Ive provided enough proof as to why you should not hire this company. This company will sell you on quality and perfecting the details yet for our project they over promised and under delivered every step of the way. I am glad the project is over and I would never recommend this company to anyone. Do yourself a favor and find some less expensive company who will do a much better job and actually listen to your concerns and resolve them versus making you feel like its your fault. I will say...I did my due diligence in researching this company and found that most every review was a positive one--from Angies List to Google, etc. I also interviewed and got pricing from 2 other companies. KC Home Solutions was by far the most expensive company but they sold me on their quality which is why I ultimately decided to move forward with them. Again, I did not get the quality for which we so highly paid. This company is good on sales and poor on quality and follow through.
