The guys at Tim Worthys have consistently been able to troubleshoot and diagnose any mechanical issue Ive brought them. From tuning up my old carbureted Isuzu by tapping old rusted spark plugs, fixing the oil leak and giving recommendations for future repairs for a developing fuel leak, to doing a full suspension overhaul on my 350z after clearing a check engine light, repairing the issue, and servicing the belts; they generally assure me my vehicle is in optimal condition. I dont think I could get the same degree of certainty going anywhere else, these guys know what theyre doing. Every time Ive been there Ive seen things from large fleet vehicles to old muscle cars in the other bays; even a diesel bulldozer one time. I wouldnt question bringing them anything I need fixed, or telling anyone I know to bring their mechanical issues to them either.

What a nice place. Took my older car there and they looked it over and gave me a free estimate on costs to fix it. So pleasant and friendly. I would go back anytime. Thanks guys.

I dropped a transfer case off that needed rebuilt, once I dropped it off they got right on it and had it back to me the next day. Tim called me and explained what all had failed and needed replaced. I will come here for all my drivetrain needs

Just a question...is it customary for your mechanics or your son (a mechanic) to take your customer cars and drive them when they go to lunch or to take them home for lunch like Gardner? Or is it as long as they sign your paperwork....per your business policy” they can take them anywhere”. Asking for a friend🤫Thank you for the response....does this include taking the cars for test drives to YOUR RESIDENCE!!!! I understand driving on the interstate or around to test the car ( brakes), but does that mean you take it for Lunch or to your house. It doesnt matter, but I assume the worker (YOUR SON) is clocked out for lunch.

Had the transmission in my 1969 Nova rebuild about in 2014 and still runs like new. They installed my fuel injection on the same car along with a new exhaust system. I was impressed enough I took my second car to them for work. I had a 1970 Cuda that I wanted looked at after I bought it in late 2017. They checked everything out. The master cylinder vacuum booster needed rebuild and they did it. They put on a factory replacement exhaust system on it also. A few months ago I needed the 6-pack rebuild on the Cuda and they were not afraid to do it. I had people tell me it was difficult to do but they did a great job on the 6-pack rebuild. I just recently had an alternator put on my 2018 GMC truck by them. I will continue to use Tim Worthys Transmission and Auto Repair for all my automotive needs. They are well worth the call if and when you need your vehicle worked on.

I usually do not trust Auto repair shops, seem like they are out to get every penny they can. Tim and his sons are trust worthy and very honest and friendly. They make you feel like family and do not try to fix things that dont need fixed. Tims Tansmission & auto repair is the is the only shop we trust, we are loyal life time customers. The worthy guys are the best.

The guys at Tim Worthys are A+, treat you right and know there stuff. I took them a 2006 Expedition that needed the transmission rebuilt and had the check engine light on in the dash. They rebuilt the transmission at a reasonable price (best price I was quoted in Olathe) and even took care of my check engine light and the codes my motor was throwing. I cant say enough about how honest and hard working these guys are. It feels like a brand new car again!

I pulled into Mr. Worthys shop with a very loud screaming belt and didnt know what it was. He thought it was the water pump, but it ended up being the tensioner that had frozen. He didnt go ahead and sell me a water pump just to get more money in labor. In talking with Nick, he asked if I had experienced any coolant leading. I had him check the coolant, and since I hadnt flushed the system since I bought the car three years ago, I told him go ahead. Long story short, the radiator was compromised when the tensioner froze up, and when they applied the vacuum to the system, they blew the radiator. They ended up selling me the radiator at cost and reducing the price of a few parts. Replaced some vacuum lines for free. He ended up tearing the whole front end of my car off to get to the radiator, spending more time than the 3.5 hours of labor he charged me for.The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that Im not used to paying $100/hour for labor. But I must be thankful that they were able to get me worked on in a very timely fashion. Very nice guys, communicated well, and explained everything to me in very fine detail. I would recommend them!

As a retired automotive mechanic , with 40+ years experience , it is with my greatest respect for the occupation that I submit this review of T.W.T. ( Tim Worthy Transmission ).Tim & his sons are who I turn to when I need to outsource repairs .Having a lifetime of experience , passed down from father to sons , is an essential part of their business .However , “know-how” without the supportive technology would be useless .To that end , T.W.T. applies the latest and best computer driven diagnostic & repair tools in the industry .Knowledge + technology = a job done right the first time .Having visited several other repair shops in this area , I have paid a lot more ,for a LOT less .If it’s transmission , differential , engine , A/C , or any other automotive components ,Tim Worthy Transmission should be your first call .

Brought my truck to Tim Worthys for repairs after being unable to drive, Tim and his sons worked with me on a repair plan to get her back up and running. The first option was too expensive, but the second option was acceptable. After we settled on a repair option he got me back on the road asap. Thanks again Tim and sons.

Looking forward to meeting these owners and techs, I ran into a man today and asked him how his GMC Envoy served him and he reported he had transmission replaced almost 1 year ago and couldnt say enough good things about this company...my transmission just failed after a good run of 250,000 miles since new in 04 and have debated whether to seek repair...I will be in touch Monday

The worst customer service in a transmission shop around town. Quoted 1250 for a rebuild an mention the cost of a new one for a couple hundred more an instantly got rude an made the comment there isn’t a new transmission out there better then HIS rebuilt.

Tim and Nick went through the motors in both of my 73 Trans Ams and they have never run better. Also rebuilt both transmissions - an original Muncie and a Tremec TKO. These guys can fix anything. They take their time to find out exactly what the problem is and fix it right the first time. I would not take my cars anywhere else. Period.

Nick has fixed several things on my Chevy Cobalt. He replaced my clutch, changed the brakes, flushed brake and clutch fluid. He also noticed that my AC wasnt blowing as hard or as cold as it should and it was dripping water on the passenger side so he recharged my AC, replaced the cabin air filter, and fixed the leak!! My AC is freezing cold now!!
