Bought my vehicle there many years ago and have been seeing the service department. My service department representative Ken has been amazing. The problem I have is every time that I get a simple oil change. I was instructed that there was to be an alignment check. I have yet to see a check. But my main problems lie after I get my oil changed. Done within a timely manner. But I feel it can be if you skip steps. My vehicle leaves the shop and service tire light comes on. I checked my tires one is very low at 22 lb. The others are just where they were when I brought them in. It makes you wonder what else hasnt been done. I have tried to voice my concern before but the manager Rodney seems just to put me by the wayside and say words that he thinks will comfort me. Im not asking for something free. I could go to Walmart though and get an oil change at half the price but I trust the dealer, but now should i?

I was in the market for 2021 Custom Trail Boss but with the high demand for trucks at the moment I found it extremely difficult to find exactly what I was looking for. Called first to talk to parts depart to see if they had the part in stock in case I needed to replace. Parts guys was nice. He suggested to bring my battery in to get checked by service then they can recommend replacement for sure. I followed this direction. My husband & I showed up and went to service as instructed. We walked in and I noticed food had been delivered and everyone was getting their plates and eating. We asked about getting the battery tested and they told us to go to parts. I said we were told to come here first. There were about 6 guys sitting behind their desk eating and they all looked at each other like whose wants to help. One guy said immediately that battery is out of warranty. We didn’t say anything about a warranty, we just need it tested. Then someone said snarky, we’ll get someone to test it. While waiting, someone else made an appointment for an oil change and they told that customer we don’t do oil changes during lunch hour & told him to make an appointment. This customer said i did do the appointment online and this is the time it provided. WOW is this McCarthy’s face to their customers? Finally someone showed up to test our battery and immediately said you have bad battery, it needs to be replaced. My husband was trying to ask questions and this guy wasn’t listening. WOW McCarthy, you need to put your service dept back through customer service training. There is enough negativity in the world and your team doesn’t need to add to it.

Working with finance on all the paperwork was also super quick and easy, he even threw in some comedy, which made the most boring part entertaining..... And it was all electronic on a fancy desk screen. This is the third vehicle weve bought from this dealer and have been happy every time. Im awaiting my paperworks arrival, but I dont foresee any issues with that as it has been less than a week since the trade. There were no hidden charges or gimmicks during the process, and everyone was as nice as could be, so I wouldnt hesitate to business again with these folks!

Nothing in the Nissan lot worked out so she helped get me into a Chevy Equinox. From the moment I called she stayed in contact with me, letting me know step by step what was going on. I would definitely go back there and recommend them to friends and family.UPDATE!!Well Im very disappointed to say that as soon as we took the car all of the good faith seemed to go away. The car has a chip in the windshield that was supposed to be fixed and has not been fixed. they told us that we would not have to make a payment until November and well that isnt true. The finance company told us otherwise. We have left multiple messages for the finance guy at the dealership and for the salesman and no one is returning our calls. This is very problematic. Definitely not the great service we got when we walked in.

Im flabbergasted as to how this dealership has good reviews! We walked in asking to see a specific car. They said well, idk if we have THAT car still (which they did) and asked our price range. Then they asked okay, but can you go up on budget? No. okay .. ill ask my manager what we have. Then they came back 10 minutes later to try to convince us to up our price range! (Not a great sales tactic when the customers are juggling 3 small kids.) Finally we are shown the car we walked in for. Test drive it, and im not in love. So they pull out their price info to show its valued at 19k just like they listed it at. Yes BUT kbb had it valued at 2k less, to which the finance manager responded with something along the lines of well, KBB is a hard platform for customers to navigate. Seriously??? I literally show them as i type it in, correctly, with every option. Then they say well, what the dealerships can see is different than what customers see. Next, they proceed to explain their $19k is based on having a $2,000 trade in, and a $1,000 deduction for using their financing, meaning the sticker price was $22k. This puts them $3k over price even against their own numbers! Maybe simple addition is just too hard of a platform for them to navigate. Customer service definitely was 🤷We had really great experiences the following week shopping at Tumminia Mazda and Olathe Honda right in that same area. And the Audi dealership in Merriam had stellar customer service, too! So many better options than McCarthy and their stereotypic used car salesman tactics and shady pricing!!

Im giving this review 2 stars only because of the salesman I worked with was nice and helped me out a lot but as for the truck I purchased I’m not so pleased. I had the truck for 2 days and only drove it maybe 7 miles before it had to be taken back to the shop for work. It’s currently being worked on right now. I paid a lot of money for this truck and expected a lot more coming from a big name dealership. I don’t believe this truck was really looked at or driven very much before I purchased it. I worked with Jamie and he was very helpful but as far as the truck goes very disappointed. We’ll see if everything has been fixed when I get the truck back

Great place if your getting ready to purchase a vehicle, BUT afterwards need help- forget it.I have been trying for three weeks to get someone there to help figure out the key code for the tire.This is my daughters first car and she didn’t get a lock for the tires. Gets a flat she is screwed!! To me this is important!!! No one returns voicemail nor gets back to us when they say they would.

I had two experiences with them about two months apart that were incredibly different. The first experience I came into the shop and I needed some extensive work done. I ended up spending quite a bit of money but it was well worth it because they were complex problems. Amongst those problems was my windshield washer fluid pump. It was not working, or so I thought. After a few days of diagnosis they figured out the problem.Now fast forward to the most recent visit. Since my first visit my windshield washer reservoir has been leaking. I wasn’t sure exactly where it was leaking from so this past week I went under the car to take a look. I found that it was leaking from the pump. I took it back in to McCarthy Chevrolet and let them know that it was leaking from the exact place that they had been working. I dropped my car off at 8:30 in the morning, by 5 o’clock I had heard absolutely nothing. They kept my car overnight without letting me know that they needed to do so. I called back the next morning to find out what the status was of my diagnosis. I was told that it in fact was leaking from the pump but that was not something that they had worked on the last time I was in there. How can you diagnose that a pump is or is not working if you don’t mess with it?I was told that the repair would cost me roughly $326. That is totally unacceptable for something that they caused by working on a part. So you’re going to tell me that I’m going to come get my car fixed, spend $3000, then have an ongoing problem from something that you did and then when I try to come in and get it fixed you’re going to charge me more money? The service rep waived the diagnostic fee as if he was doing me some kind of favor. I went in there telling them what the problem was and where the problem was and that it only started once they worked on my windshield washer pump but they wanted to charge me for it.Two completely different experiences. I’m going to be taking my car somewhere else because I feel like I was being manipulated. Never again will I bring my car here.

Solid deal. Would prefer less push to finance as I do not like making payments on anything but I suppose I get the angle. Paid more than I wanted to but given the shortage I understand.

The slowest service department I’ve ever experienced. I had an appointment at 7:30 for an oil change. It is now 10:00 and the vehicle still isn’t done. Don’t waste your entire day here like I am!

What an easy experience this was. So easy in fact that we were getting ready to leave, thinking they’d forgotten about us, only to find out moments later they were working up the numbers and came back to us with straightforward answers to all the questions we never even had to ask. No hassles, no trick questions, no bs games. Our salesperson Lauryn helped to make this purchase one of our easiest yet. Highly recommend.

I wasnt looking for a vehicle from McCarthy Chevrolet, but decided I found a better than my car with the McCarthy Honda and inquired if Heath McRoy could get that car. I knew I had bad credit, but had recently paid off everything on my report. I didnt think I could get this car, but they came through with flying colors and went and drove my new Lexus over from McCarthy Honda. When I got to McCarthy Chevrolet I was immediately greeted by Bryan White and he knew I was coming in that day to trade in my Cadillac. Bryan (and Heath) made me feel like I was their most important customer, even though I knew I wasnt buying a brand new Corvette. They were the only dealership that had it and didn’t attempt to charge me thousands over MSRP. Bought a new 2020 Traverse on 11-30-2020. After about 1000 miles brakes started making a growling noise. Took to service department for them to see what the problem was. Was advised that there have been problems with the composition in some of the brake pad material. GM is supposedly working on a new brake pad with different composition material to replace the current brake pad. Have called service advisor several times to see if the new pads are available. Six months later still no fix. Very disappointed!

De’Marco was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was very indecisive, he was patient with me and allowed me time to see how each vehicle compared and met my needs. I left with an amazing car and completely satisfied!

The staff was super nice and receptive before and during the sale.However , after the sale , the staff was full of deception.Refusing to return phone calls or even answer any questions you might have.Dont buy from these guys.Jamie H. was my salesperson.I will never do business with these guys again.PS still waiting for a call backThe check engine light came on after owning the car for a week. Absolutely no help from dealership.I wish I could give them 0 starsHorrible experience!!!

It all started out great. Ethan was my salesperson, and Kevin worked the financing. Even had fun buying a car through these two. They are the only reason this a two-star rating and not a one-star. Title paperwork is supposed to be completed and sent out within 60 days pr purchase. I didnt get mine until day 87. So when I got to the DMV, guess who got to pay the penalties for that. Yep, I did. On top of that, we got a call about 2 weeks ago offering a free oil change, which was a nice surprise. Set the appointment for 3:30pm and confirmed they would do a full synthetic oil change. Well, I show up to the service department, and not a soul around. Had to go fine someone, and when I did, he just looked at me twice without saying a word. I finally said, Hi, how are you? He replied, Good. How can I help you? Told him I had a 3:30 appt for a synthetic oil change and he said, Today? I said yes, and his response floored me. Well, that aint happening. Really? Then he asked when I made the appointment, and I told him 2 weeks ago. Then he stated, rather gruffly, We dont do anything after 3:30. No explanation, just a nasty attitude. I said that was fine, Ill just go somewhere else for my business. As I left, he yelled at me, Hang tight! Sorry, but when you get an attitude with me, youve lost my business. Itll be interesting to see if anyone reaches out with a substantial offer to win my business back. At this point, I will not refer anyone to McCarthy Auto Group.

I just purchased a 2018 Chevy traverse from McCarthy. The customer service was amazing! At no point did I feel pushed or forced into anything. Anthony was amazing and so super easy to deal with! Awful place to buy a vehicle. The salesmen will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to buy the vehicle just to put money in their pocket. I was told I was gonna receive a check to get the truck fixed then that day then had to fight with them to get the check over a week later. Manager, salesman, and the business office would not return any calls. I already have a problem with the truck 1 week after buying it but I don’t trust them to fix it so that has to come out of my own pocket. Would not recommend buying anything from these money hungry people.
