We stayed at Barefoot for 10 days, it was a very good experience, the unit was very clean, all the amenities were as described. We were there on a Golf vacation, We played two of the on site courses, The DYE Course and the Fazio Course. Both courses were very well operated. Checking in was easy and stress free as well as checking out. Very easy to navigate to and from pretty much anywhere in Myrtle Beach. Would highly recommend that if you are going to the Grand Strand on a Golf Holiday Barefoot Resort is well worth looking into.

Staff at the golf courses were terrific, golf was terrific.Accommodations at the high rise villas left a bit to be desired.Broken showers, broken TVs, broken mirror swept into a closet, broken handles to door walls etc.Staff at rental office did not seem to enjoy their jobs. Annoyed by our questions and presence.Have been to this resort several times and had not experienced these issues in the past.Would still recommend staying and playing golf at Barefoot resorts.

The room was nice and spacious. The bar stool and patio furniture were wobbly. The dishwasher wasnt working properly and the icemaker made ice but it wasnt dispensing. We needed to use a spoon to scoop up the ice. Overall it was nice. The balcony was good to see the fireworks. The elevators were quick. The children enjoyed the pool and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. Loved using codes to get in and out instead of carrying around a key.

Staying here ruined my kids summer vacation!!! Condo was not cleaned or sanitized at all. They apparently are short staffed for the needs of guests and knowing this they still book the entire property. We arrived on time and they had to check us in 2 hours late because they are short staffed according to the one person running the front desk. We finally get into the condo after 6 PM and there is no AC and no lights. Called the 24 hour number for assistance and the gentleman who answered was of no help at all. We were made to wait for 24+ hours with no AC and no lights and when maintenance finally came in the next day the only thing he was able to do was fix the lights.The bathroom hadnt been cleaned or sanitized at all. The last persons dirt was literally in the shower along with their soap and wash cloth. Not only that the shower door was broken and there was mold and mildew in the cracks and crevices. In order to even use the shower we had to buy cleaning supplies to sanitize it ourselves. There was hair all over the sink and dried up toothpaste stains in the mirror and on the faucet.We paid for a two bedroom condo and one was supposed to be a king sized bed, instead of an actual king sized mattress we got two twin sized beds pushed together. It probably wouldnt have been noticed except for the fact that the bed was so low to the floor and did not meet the headboard where it was supposed to. Then the pillows were awfully musty.There were golf chips and unidentified pills left in the room from the previous users as well. My kids found that... hoorayyyy. Ive been coming to Barefoot for the past 10 years Ive had pleasant experiences in the past but this was by far the worst vacation in all my years of vacationing ever. I mean if you knew you didnt have the man power to cover the needs of guests why rent out the entire property??? Disgusted! I took pictures and video of EVERYTHING!

I have vacationed at this resort Pre-pandemic, so after reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous about returning. As you can see, I provided this resort with 5-stars. The stay was fantastic. I had some minor concerns about the coffee maker and not Wi-Fi password that was not provided to me at check-in. But I must admit, the good outweighs the concerns. The resort is quiet, about 4 miles from the beach, and the staff are awesome. The price of a 4-day stay at the Villa was very reasonable and if you are not aware; this resort will price-match from Booking.Com. So, in the end, if you are seeking a nice, quiet, relaxing get away...this is the place to be. Thank you Barefoot for a great stay!!!!

Cheap furniture for the cost. 2 twin beds pushed together to make a King size bed, was not comfortable. Livingroom furniture was out of date real bad and wore out. bedroom TVs out of date. and carpet needed shampooed. beautiful townhouse, great location.

Booked thru MyrtleBeachGolf...Dorothy Miller is A+ to work with for a golf trip. Love Barefoot and its Yacht Club Villas. Love the golf courses even more - especially when its home of your first ever Serious Hackers Invitational Tournament championship. Well see you again next summer!

Booked through a 3rd party didnt get what I paid for and they took my money and didnt spend one night on there property. They tried to give me a room with God only knows what them stains were on the carpet and it smelled mildew. Do not stay its not how it looks in pics and staff is rude

Weve been waiting 2 1/2 hours for our room and its its still not ready. Its now 8:28pm. A resort should not be able to operate like this!!! Check in was supposed to be at 4pm. Now our entire day has been wasted and no discount or anything was offered! Very , very disappointed!!! I had several friends and family members whos booked and after this they stated that theyre canceling their stay with Barefoot!!! Several people are standing outside waiting on their room to be available. One girl was arguing with the manager about her having to wait so long. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This condo rented in Villa 3 has roaches. One particular roach was dead on floor in one of the rooms, one other dead one was in living room behind plant on desk, one live roach was on television stand in living room and a live roach was caught and killed in bathroom along wall and sink area. Lamp shades were very dusty along with baseboards and wall corners. Property has pest control Thursday of every month however pest control ingredients are not working well. Roaches were seen before any luggage’s and personal items were brought into condo. For the amount paid for less than a week of stay, no dust and or roaches should be seen.

Would never stay here again. No curtains and the response was oh well too bad. Floor was disgusting, toilets running constantly, and screen for patio was broken. The freezer had something growing in it, and the wifi didnt work.

Website errors while booking, unclear instructions for checking in and out, the employee checking us in was clearly high, carpets were dirty, trash left in one room, found hair ties in the bed, the shower faucet leaked unless you turned the knob just right, no WiFi, and food was stolen from us while we were out. Management never returned my call and clearly didnt care.EDIT: Just a follow-up to note that nobody reached out to my concerning my stay.

Because their office has a loose regard for customer service, we have to give them the lowest possible rating.We made our reservations a little over a month ago, with a helpful agent who assured us that he could meet our needs. We had two needs: a first floor room and bike paths. We were assured of both.When we arrived at the resort, we were assigned a second floor walkup accommodation - not easy with a wheel chair, or an 87 year old. We asked what had happened to our assured first floor room, and the agent assured us that there was a simple human error, and that the room would be re-assigned - the next day. Somehow, our paraplegic sister butted her way up the stairs, and my able bodied sister and I somehow managed to get my mother up the stairs. We werent going to let an error ruin our vacation.The next day, were were informed about the new room - there was no offer of assistance, and we were given no notice. The move was pretty shoddy. No Wifi info was provided for the new room. No pool pass was provided for the second room. After a visit to the office to pick up the pass the next day, it did not work (and the office took no responsibility). The unit was dirty - bugs in kitchen drawers, petrified carrots under the beds, and the stove burners smoked while debris burned off. There was only warm water at the kitchen sink. The office of Barefoot Beach resort is only open from 9-5, so we had to wait until the next day to ask for anything.We asked that our complaint about not getting the first floor room be addressed, and were told by Ms. Gilroy, the manager on duty, that an assurance was not a guarantee. The manager we spoke to deferred us to the next day so that she could listen to the reservation call transcript, and then advised us that no assurances were made - despite what we could actually see on the reservation notice. How does that meet with reality? Of course, she would not allow us to see the transcript or listen to the phone call. We attempted to elevate the matter to the next level of management, so that we could speak with Ms Wilcoxsin, Resort Manager, who has not returned my calls to date.And bicycling? We were told that the golf course paths were available. Of course, we then were told by golf management that bicycling and walking on the paths was not allowed. We advised the manager of this, and her response was, is that right? thank you for the information. My paraplegic sister had brought her three wheel handcycle 500 miles for biking in some parking lots.The Barefoot resort is a nice place. Their rental service is the fundamental problem. Next time, I will book via VRBO or AirBnB, where I know I will get satisfaction.

The 1st room was dirty from top to bottom including bed sheets, bath towels, bathroom it was less than satisfactory. There was no coffee maker, mini fridge, or even a chair. I wish I could put pictures on here with this review.

The staff at check-in were horrible. At 4:00 p.m, (stated check-in time), we were told that it could take up to 7:00 p.m. to be assigned all 3 rooms in our party. Krisanne W. was the employee at the check-in desk. When asked for a supervisor, she stated that there was not anyone on property and would not give a number to reach the manager. As we all became more anxious and concerned, she showed zero interest and seemed like we were bothering her. She truly is in the wrong profession. One of the rooms in our group was a villa. The people assigned to this room were not provided access until after 7:00 p.m. Once in the unit, it was absolutely DISGUSTING! Filthy carpeting, broken and dirty furniture and mold on the outside balcony. They complained to Krisanne and the manager on staff and NOTHING was done to change to another room or give a refund. I will never stay at Barefoot Landing again. On a side note, the golf course and staff were terrific! Too bad you cant figure out the lodging side of things.

DO NOT RENT HERE!! Update 7/27/21: Its now been almost 2 weeks since I left my voicemail and 1 week since they responded that we will have someone reach out to you concerning these issues. I havent had a call or an email from anyone. Theyre full of lies. Update 7/18/21: Its been 7 days since I left my voicemail and still, no response. They responded to this review and still.....no response. Ive put in a complaint with the BBB, I recommend everyone do the same and force them to fix their issues. WORST.EXPERIENCE.EVER. We stayed at Ironwood bldg 3-323. The room was filthy, carpet was badly stained, toilet seat cracked, no shower curtain, smoke detector falling off the ceiling, badly peeling wall paper, looked like it was never dusted, no internet, the kids room had a broken glass tabletop and more that is just too long to list. I have more pics but they wont all fit. The front desk was less than stellar and wasnt helpful. Ellen, the manager, just kept saying she was sorry but little to no action. She 1st offered a $100 discount on a $1250 rental. Seriously?!? It took 2 days to finally get a shower curtain and someone to clean. Maintenance never showed up or called to repair smoke detector, glass tabletop or help with internet. We found a random sock in the sheets. We couldnt use the balcony because the furniture was badly rusted. There were random stains on the curtains and mattresses. The internet didnt work because they didnt do the FREE fiber optic upgrade the HTC started last October! I spoke to HTC and they have been trying to get someone to let them in to do the upgrade for months! It hasnt been updated since the 80s and in desperate need of an upgrade. We tried to speak to the general manager, Robin and it just went to voicemail that was never answered. DO NOT STAY here. THIS IS A FRAUD! The pictures online do not reflect reality. These rentals are mostly time shares. The property is poorly managed, management is ineffective and quite frankly dont care. When we checked out we ran into another couple who had a very similar experience and tried to reach Robin with no success either. We should be refunded more money given the amount of issues. Everything was booked around the area because its high season so we were stuck. Never again will we rent from these scam artists.

Atleast 4 lightbulbs were out. The carpet had spots. We found a used can of pop in one of the bedrooms when we arrived. I just felt that the room was barely cleaned before we checked-in.The room as the worse part of our trip. I did report these issues to management. They did send a crew to replace the lightbulbs and fix the leak under the kitchen sink promptly.

DO NOT STAY HERE! youve been warned! Too much to even list. We booked to rooms to accommodate a large family get together. A 2 queen bed room, and a 3 bedroom suite.Check in is at 4 if youre lucky. They are short cleaning staff (according to front desk) Office closes at 5. So once we checked into our room and discovered a long list of issues there was no one to answer a call to help us. Also the office or front desk, if you will, isnt located in the buildings. It is a decent walk to a separate building.We booked a 3 bedroom villa. These are set up so that 2 rooms could be rented separately. One of our rooms was not open and we couldnt access it from the suite. We called front desk and was told it would be opened shortly by house keeping. We waited a couple hours and no one came. After calling every number we could find, and pressing every option in every menu, we couldnt reach anyone that could help us. Our first entire day of vacation was ruined from stress and wasting time on hold to never actually reach anyone.My father in-law had to scramble to find another hotel and had to pay an obscene amount since it was last minute on a weekend in myrtle beach.Atter much frustration in attempted to use the door code on the outside access to the room that was locked to the suite. The code didnt work of course but I noticed the door wasnt closed all the way and was able to open it. I walked in and found a disgustingly dirty room. It appeared to have never even been cleaned. There were towels all over, and a toilet that was grosser than any porta potty I have ever been in.On top of all of that, the parts of the rooms we did have access to were far from acceptable. Sheets were dirty and stained, floors were disgusting, carpet had more spots with stains that clean spots. Even the walls were gross. We had 2 bath towels for the entire group. There was broken furniture. Light fixtures missing light bulbs. A ceiling fan that didnt work had exposed wires. There was a drawer in the bathroom that the face of was just sitting there not connected to the rest of the drawer. One toilet appeared to have a leak that was there for a long time with rust build up on the fixture and the floor below it.The other room, the 2 queen bed room, wasnt horrible, but did smell like cat pee. Which is weird for a place that doesnt allow pets.We had to wash all of the bedding because it didnt appear clean at all. There was a washer and dryer but we had to go to a store to buy detergent. So we spent all night just washing bedding.After a horrible night that included arguing, and anxiety caused from the stress, I finally was able to speak to someone in the morning at the front desk.They couldnt offer us different accommodations because everything else was booked. If we could find other accommodations elsewhere we wouldve asked for a full refund. We could not. So the best they could do for us was finally send up housekeeping and clean and officially open up the third bedroom, and refund me the price of the 3 bedroom villa for 1 night. Also was told they didnt know when house keeping would get to it because they had 9 rooms to clean already for incoming guests. Youd think we would get priority as we were before the other incoming guests, but that is a reflection of how they do things here.To top it all of, the next day we all get ready to go to the beach. They offer a beach shuttle on a schedule that they print off and give to you. We at and waited for almost 40 minutes. Shuttle never showed. Asked the front desk and they just said they dont run the shuttle, its a third party service call them. We called and, of course the shuttles office was closed.Overall Id say you should avoid this place.

Thursday - Late check in management was very confusing - there was a long wait to get an accurate response to the dial in number...then early Friday morning 2:45 am, the room smoke alarm went off all night....at 0900 Friday morning - I contacted the front desk requested the maintenance staff fix the problem – they replaced the battery and I finalized my check as required and got a new suite access code. We also, requested - House Keeping provide the basic toilet paper / paper towels...they arrived 5 hours later...when another guess arrive assigned to suite (3-201C)...which was already open to our suite…housekeeping failed to close off that side of the suite - causing an inconvenience - interruption to both the new arrival and our anniversary time. Although the front office apologized the house keeping Staff displayed a lack interest in their job and a negative attitude in conversation with my wife... In my view - Immediate Training is required...for the office manager and housekeeping staff. There was no joint inventory or inspection of the room before or after our stay...we noticed broken furniture (round table) when we arrived.) Carpet extremely filthy. On Saturday the front desk changed the code to the suite without letting us know. As a result, we were locked out for over an hour - meanwhile we attempted to contact maintenance as the dairy products we purchased were beginning to spoil. On Sunday, I reported the problem to the front desk – asked for reasonable compensation of a one-night stay for the inconvenience…as a result I was only offered an late check out – which I did not accept.Overall Poor Management!!

We arrived at check in time, which was 4pm. We checked in on time, but wasnt able to get into our rooms untill 9pm. It took 5 hours because they were still cleaning rooms. There were people that got there before we did who were waiting even longer. Up to 6 hrs or more. Our entire day was wasted just waiting on rooms. Of course we would constantly check to see if the rooms were available, and was constantly told not yet. Then we found out that the rooms were ready, but they didnt tell the lady at the front desk. So its possible were waiting way longer than we had to obviously. Then we get to our rooms and you can tell that they hadnt been cleaned properly. The floors were dirty and hadnt been swepted, there were food crumbs everywhere. We even found a pepperoni on the floor. We found other people clothing still left in the room. We asked for pool passes, and they were never given to us. To be fair the lady at the front desk did waive the resort fee and cleaning fees which totaled up to be $69.99 that is supposed to be credited back to my account, but that still remains to be seen. I dont even think we would have gotten that back if we didnt ask for some sort of refund, because it definitely wasnt offered to us. I feel like they should refunded us back an entire day along with everyone else who had to wait 5 hours or more after check-in just to get i to there rooms.

So we are in day two of our golf vacation. Yesterday it took 5 hours to get our room assigned. Once in our condo people opened our door because they had been given our room number and code. When we returned from our golf today our code no longer worked. Two codes later we finally got back in to our unit. On the good side golf was a piece of cake.The excuse is that COVID has made everything work wrong. I did not know COVID affected computers, room codes and competence but hey I’ve been wrong before.

When we checked in, the lobby had a run down feel to it. When we went up to our room, the room felt dirty, bed was thrown together like someone just used it. No blanket, just a spread and dirty unfit sheets. The carpet was stained, only 2 towels. Everything about the room had a dirty feel to it.We returned to the front desk, and we were only offered clean sheets if we wanted to make our bed, not another room.Also no refund, we didnt stay, we went down the street and stayed at a Marriotts, which was a great place.

Robin was very helpful. My first night at Ironwood was awful. When we entered the unit we smelled dog urine. The counter tops in the kitchen had been wiped down with a dirty towel and the residue was still present. In the living room there was pizza crust and food on the floor. The furniture was outdated and stained. In both bathrooms the shower curtains had mildew from the middle of the curtain to the floor. The shower in the main bed room did not work. The spreads on the beds were stained. In order to sleep I took the towels from the bathroom and placed them across the bed because I was not sure what was on the covers. I called customer service after 5 and was told to leave a message in the general mailbox. The next day I did not receive a call. I call the main office and spoke with Robin she was very helpful and empathetic. She apologized and told me to pack my things, come to the office and she would get me and my family in a suitable unit. Robin met me at the front desk and apologized again. She was able to move us to the Yacht club and it was an amazing experience. I was disappointed that I didnt get to enjoy the comfort the first night. My family and I go to barefoot atleast 7 times per yet. After the first night I had decided I was never coming back and would go to the prince resort, but Robin stepped in and helped. Again the first night was terrible and mentally stressful trying to keep myself and my family safe. The only reason we chose barefoot during a pandemic is because we felt the cleaning would be up to par. I appreciate Robin and hope to be able to go back to the yacht club the week of thanksgiving.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. Check in is at 4 and I arrived early to register. I arrived at 4 and was told the room was still not ready and there wasn’t an estimate time on when it would be ready. As a reminder, if I begin to pay for a room at 4 and I am not in that room due to the company not having the room ready, then this means I am paying for a room that I am not using. There was no type of accommodation made other then we could possibly check out later on our departure date but only if no one else was suppose to be coming in after us (not guaranteed). I will not be back to this resort again and if you value your time and money, you won’t either!

After traveling 5 and a half hours from home, we checked into our Yacht Club 4br condo to discover a very dirty condo waiting for us. The condo had not been cleaned, the carpet was so filthy we had to wear shoes to feel comfortable. We asked to be switched into another condo or for the condo to be cleaned... without an apology, the assistant manager was extremely rude. Stating her advice was to go on with our day because she could not give us a time that it would be cleaned, nor could we be in our condo while it was being clean due to Covid. As we decided to make the best of our trip, I went into shower only to noticed there was a used bar of soap along with many hairs in the bottom of the shower. When I went to get a towel there were hairs on the towels as well. There were also fake eyelashes and M&Ms on the nightstand. Along with a white powdery substance. In another bedroom there were also fake eyelashes and hair in the shower along with a dirty toilet. Many pictures were taken. Unable to get our complaint resolved, they did agree to give a percentage of our money back and on New Year’s eve we were left to find a hotel to accommodate our family! Never again will we return to this facility.

It was a nice community but late check in was a disaster, there were several people waiting to be helped on the phone with customer service. Then we couldnt get the door open for late check in box. We finally accomplished that then when I got to my room it smelled like a dog was there, luckily I had febreze to spray the furniture and curtains. The room had a basic clean like beds, bathrooms, and kitchen. None of the headboards were attached, closet door was off track, and the dining table had not been cleaned. Overall it was nice that we were not located in all the traffic when we were ready to go to the room.

We always enjoy our stays at Barefoot Resorts. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The unit we were assigned needs paint and carpet badly. We had to light candles to get the shrimp smell out. We love the privacy since the rooms are separated and have their own bathrooms. The unit was quite large and our guests were very happy. We will come back.

I initially was put in room 906 of the north tower. Upon entering the room, it had a musky smell, there was mold surrounding every vent. The first night, 2 roaches were found in the kitchen. The master bathroom mat was nasty which was taken by the cleaning lady the next day, the fllors were stained, and the bed blankets were stained. The next morning, a baby roach was located in the bathroom. We called to the front desk and rhey offered to send the vleaning lady up. I requested to move rooms to which they front sesk clerk said they didn3have any other condos available. After the cleaning lady arrived and caried out the nasty bsthroom mat, she also advised thst she would get us moved due to the conditions of the room. She was polite, professional and whether she did or not acted as if she cared. She said that she would personally clean the next room for us and that we would receive a call from the front desk in a out 30 minutes when it was ready. We went to lunch and after about an hour and 15 minutes, the front desk called advising the room was ready. We stoped in the front desk to pick up the room info and passcode. Instead of staying in north tower, they moved me to yacht club villa 1. However the front desk xlerk would give me the new room info and said i had to completely check out the old room first. So i had to load all my stuff, wife and kids stuff, back into our vehicle along with all the groceries i had purchased the night before. Then go back to check out before getting the new room and then unload all the stuff back into the new condo. This is just the first 2 days of my vacation (Monday and Tuesday). Thursday afternoon around 1pm the main door lock stopped working ( no light no sound) i assumed it was a battery issue. When we notified the front desk the provided a separate code for an auxiliary door. The xode worked but the secu3latch was on the door so it only opened a couple inches. We notofied the front desk at approximately 4pm and they advised my wife it qould be an emergency lockout fee of $65. I arrived at the front desk before 5pm and spoke to the clerk. She advised that because we had already checked in that we would be responsible for paying the lockout fee. I argued agaist it bit ultimately i had to get in my condo and requested the maintenance man to respond. She began calling him however he never answered. She went through their own line and still no answer. She advised me that he was off that day and that ot could be 11pm before he showed up. I continued argueing the cost and why i shouldnt be paying due to defective equipment. She stated that she would text her boss who would get in contact with the maintenance man. I asked if there was any other qay to get in the room and she said i could youtube ways to breakin. I then went to the room now its about 630After aearching for items to assist in breakin in, i managed to force the door latch back and gained entry. I called to report it and the clerk said ok and hung up. The next morning (friday) we called twice for maintenance to fix the main entry door. Once at 1030 and again around 1pm. The maintenance guy showed up about an hour later. While talking with him, he advised that he never received a phone call for rhe lockout and further advised that they have been havong problems with that lock before. After changing batteries qhich didnt fix it, he finally poped the center of the handle out revealing a key hole. Then advised me to come to the front desk and get a key. The same key the desk clerk had access to the previous day. So 4 out of 6 days of my vacation i dealt with stuff that wasnt of my making. Still havent heard from the manager. Ive stayed her for the last 6 years and have always had the best experience. Not sure what has changed but i will never be back.

This was one of the worst vacation spots I have have ever booked. Furniture was was broken torn and worn where you can visibly see it. Love seat arm chair broken, coffee table broken. Walls dirty nasty and filthy, carpet dirty nasty and filthy, patio dirty nasty look like a dump, head board in master bedroom broken. Sofa and love seat stained. Call front office at check in Robin the manager hung up on me twice bC of my complaint, she wouldn’t offer a resolution or apology not even another unit. She was so rude ghetto and unprofessional her and her office staff. I would not recommend this place to no one units are a dump and customer service is beyond horrible. Wish I could show the pictures on this site.

Youre really only paying (way more) for location. Units are dated. Bathrooms and kitchen were bare minimums. Bed sheet had cigarette burn holes. W/D had special instructions to push down on lid if washer stops, which of course I ended up doing. But a nice enough living area, and a wonderful, quiet, friendly neighborhood.Beware of $17 resort fee per day and 1-time $39 damage waiver fee to go along with 11% in taxes.10 am checkout is comical, but luckily I was up early.

Me and three friends stayed the weekend and played 2 courses on Saturday (Love and Norman.) Love was absolutely amazing! Norman was a step down from Love. However the entire place is full of amazing views and scenery. The courses are challenging but can be forgiving at times as well. The sand traps were tough to get out of but we went shortly after a ton of rain.Our 2 bedroom Villa was what we needed. It wasnt super fancy but it was clean, the beds were comfortable and the place provided everything we needed. Ive seen many reviews saying that checkin is so far away... Thats misleading. The place is large but the check in office is at the entrance. I was handed a map with an address to use with GPS. It was a 2 minute drive (within the resort) and easy to find.If youre looking for a golf weekend with some friends, this is a great place to go. I recommend playing Love for sure!

We drove over 8 hours to get to this resort. We arrived at 3:50pm the room was not ready. The reception said it would be ready in 25 minutes and was not . Then we finally was able to get in the room was 2 hours later. This is unacceptable. Then when we finally got into the room we had to clean because there was hair in the tub. There were white rugs in the restroom which one had blood on. The room had an odor. There were several things that were broken. We took pictures and notified the reception then we emailed them to the owner with no reply. We were there 4 nights by then someone should have responded to our concerns but never did.

I like this place. Its not far at all from things to do and downtown Myrtle Beach. The issues I had was with the place that I stayed in. There was a broken chair on the patio, a hole in the rug upon entrance, no toilet paper in the bathroom (well, one of them) , the TVs were outdated and there was only one remote to multiple tvs. The one in the living room didnt work altoghter and although 2 tickets were put in for that, no one ever came. The cleaniness of it all was duable but the interior decoration was soooo outdated. That master bedroom though...the bed slept lovely.Overall, for the price...I REALLY cant complain, BUT for a resort...they need to level up and modernize their units and handle maintenance issues that shouldnt be issues.

Had a family trip planned. Called to make sure the pools were open because all the other hotels and resorts pools were open. The man who answered lied and said the pools were open. After arriving (which is the same day I called to see if the pools were open) I was told the pols had been closed for over a week. I could not get my money back and could not cancel. My family just sat there while I was playing golf. It was miserable. This will never happen again. Lesson learned. I understand these are hard times and people need to make a dollar, but if you do not offer services then be upfront so families can make other arrangements.

When we arrived the suite was not cleaned, we found food and fake eyelashes on the nightstand along with dried (substance?) on the couches and hair in the showers. When we called to ask if the cleaning crew could come clean again, we received horrible customer service from the assistant manager, Robin. She told us that because of Covid-19 there wasn’t anything she could do, and that she doesn’t owe us an apology because “we didn’t seem like we wanted one.” Overall, awful staff and dirty suites during a pandemic.

We stayed at the havens 9/25 to 9/27 it was horrible and outdated. My back hurt so bad from the uncomfortable beds. We was suppose to have a king size bed but they put 2 full size beds together which caused us to fall in the middle. The role out bed from the couch was so thin my kids felt the springs and complained of back pain the whole time. The condo was not properly cleaned dust everywhere and funiture outdated and stains all on the chairs. I will never ever recommend this place or return. Even the iron was dirty and old. It says you will stay over looking the beach and Yault club boats. You don’t see none of that. This place cost way to much for it to be outdated and we had no access to the pool saying it’s been closed since March which they never told us when we booked our trip. Always read reviews before booking a trip pictures are deceiving. The front desk lady was rude asking where i was from and when i told her she says oh your from the ghetto. Never been to a rude place like this.

Simply awesome. My wife and i first came down here a few months ago and stayed in the Barefoot community. The Barefoot golf courses are so great but so are all the courses. We arrived at 4pm and had to wait an hour to check in because our room wasn’t ready, when I complained because it was 90 degrees outside and we had to small children in the car I felt they didn’t care. We tried to go to the pool that evening and realized they hadn’t given us an access card and the front desk was closed. Went the next morning to get the pool access card and when we tried to use the card it wouldn’t work, pool attendant was rude. Went back to the office to get it fixed and finally got in the pool. We went back to the pool the next morning and the access card wouldn’t work again, back to the office!! They said the pool doesn’t open till 10 even though the sign at the pool clearly states 9am-10pm. In general they are unhelpful, unapologetic and no one seems to ever know what’s going on. Terrible customer service, seriously the worst I’ve seen ever anywhere! One good thing, the Villa we stayed in was nice.

Not the quality room you would expect for a “resort”. Felt like we were staying in someone’s grandma’s house. Was not COVID cleaned. Property had not been properly maintained. Dirty carpet and walls. Stinks behind toilet. Dining room table had heat damage. Smelled musky. They didn’t even bother to put a skirt on the master bed. Asked for house keeping and that was a waste. I cant give out the 5 stars I want to give due to the fact that the particular condo we rented (North Towers 906) was definitely lacking in the clean category. Simple things to fix that: have the carpets professionally cleaned and get the mold out of the Master Shower... maybe update some of the decor? OTHERWISE: If you can stay at North Towers Barefoot Resort - do it! We had amazing views of the Marina, the Barefoot Landing area (at night the skyline is beautiful) and even a bit of the ocean. It was surprisingly quiet; the pool looked fantastic (unfortunately, our pool pass didnt work and we didnt have a car to go back to the office to get a replacement; it would have been nice if someone offered to bring one to us!) and the little Marina restaurant has the best happy hour around! Well be back (well just find a different condo in the building to rent)!!

Stayed August 1-8.First Yacht Club villa disgusting. Place was filthy, blood or paint on MBR walls, bathrooms dirty, bedsheets not clean, hand prints all around. Unit was worn down and not taken care of. Pictures on their site are nothing like what they tried to give us. Went back to office and refused to stay there. Asked us to look at another unit, this time in a different section of Barefoot altogether, it to was run down, dirty and smelled. We went back to office and asked for our refund. The woman said look at this unit and I think it will be better. We agreed to this as it was now 7:00 at night. It was better and was clean. We stayed. I had to go back the next morning to confirm we could stay in that unit for the week. While waiting in line it was apparent we were not the only ones who were not happy. The complaints were the same, dirty and worn out. The manager on duty was particularly rude to 3 ladies.The buildings are not well maintained, the halls and elevators are dirty, it is loud at midnight as no one enforces the quiet times. The pool was either closed for weather or had no furniture due to COVID.We will never come to this place again. It is poorly run and you know it upon checkin. It is dirty and wore out. The pictures are misleading. It is too bad as the place could be a gem but you can clearly tell the management has no pride.Stay away!

Weve stayed at various times of the year, from Busy July to a calmer November and every stay has been enjoyable. Some of the properties that Ive stayed in could use an update on their furniture, but every unit has always been clean and unique in its own way.

To be honesty this is the only place I will stay when vacationing at Myrtle Beach. I stay at Barefoot twice a year and always have enjoyed my stay and the accommodations. The accommodations is usually the main reason I stay because its always so much better, cleaner and comfortable than a beach front. Unfortunately, this stay(Edgewater 1025) was not the case. This was my first time in this villa section. The furniture from the living space to the patio space was very out dated and very stained. The carpet was stained just as bad. So bad, I did not want my bare feet to touch it. Even the area rug was stained horribly. The carpet, living space furniture and pillows really need to be replaced, there is no hope with cleaning them. The pillows on the bed were so flat there was really no need to have pillows. I tried to stack them but they were so flat it was not helpful. We received no extra nothing that we are use to getting. There was no dish towel. It was just not set up as were use to. My husband and I just thought this must be owned by the property and not a owner, because they do so much to welcome us. Like place a welcome book and instructions to everything. We received none of that. I usually have very high expectation and hopes when I vacation and Barefoot usually lives up to my expectation but unfortunately not this time.

We were not informed until we asked upon arrival, that the pools were closed due to COVID-19. Had we known, we would have booked elsewhere. Other area resorts did open pools. Also, the unit was very dated and dangerous. We sunk in cushions when sitting on the couches, and ceiling fan in the master shook so much we were afraid to turn it on for fear it would fall. Carpets were very stained and dirty. We looked to vacuum ourselves, and there was no vacuum in the unit.

We had no a/c and it took maintenance man almost 5 hours to arrive! The front desk NEVER answers the phone. Absolutely disgusting! As soon as we walked into our rental (1733 in ironwood) there were scrapes and gashes out of the walls. We walked around and the carpet was heavily stained and water damage in the ceiling. The master bedroom was no different except the dead bugs all over the floor. The sliding door track was also full of dead bugs and you couldnt even sit on the desk with how dirty it was and the 2 bee hives.The second bathroom had either blood or hair dye down the front of it. The stove top and utensil were full of food and grease. We were there for about an hour and decided to leave. The woman at the front desk was very understanding and got us a refund with no issue. We left and stayed at Hampton Inn Harbourgate, eventhough it was a downgrade to a hotel room it was a much more pleasant experience.

The unit that we were booked in was dimly lit. The kitchen floor was sticky like a movie theater. The carpeting was stained and dingy. There was no linen for the pullout couch and it was difficult to obtain when we requested it. The check in process was slow. The shower drains were slow and so you showered in ankle deep dirty water. Each condo is individually owned and you get what you get when you arrive. The air conditioner didnt work. They fixed it after the second try. Refrigerator leaked, two steak knives, one was broken, pots and pans dirty and disgusting. I wore white socks, lets just say they are no longer white. The location of the condo ( Sea Villas III 210 S. Ocean Blvd #410 North Myrtle Beach) was perfect! However it lacked communication between the owner and rental company. The pool was closed most of the time we were there (due to covid) and the rental office had no updates nor did they know that it was open when it finally did. Unfortunately we only got 2 hours of pool use because we didn’t get the code until the night before leaving. We had 5 school aged children with us and were there for 3 days without the WiFi password for them to do their homework. There is no gas grill as stated. Our patio was not private nor was there a screen door like the rest of the properties condos. When we called about the missing and incorrect information, we were told it was an old ad and there was nothing we could do. There is only one TV in the living room and none in the bedrooms. The freezer was terrible... the bottom of everything we put in there would defrost and/or melt before it would freeze.... ruined lots of ice and popsicles. There is a dishwasher but it sounded like the runway of an airport. Knowing now that the condo is below expectations I would stay again for the location but be prepped to be without many conveniences one would expect when renting a condo for 2 weeks!

Great stay as far as price, size of the unit and amenities. The unit itself, 2303A, needs a deep clean. The carpet and bathroom floors were dirty. The toilet seat and kitchen counters were dirty also. The entry way to the unit needs to be clean too. However, for large groups its the perfect size and has a very large pool. We also take advantage of the sidewalks throughout to workout.

Apartments are very spacious and nice. A bit outdated but with some updates it would be great. Check in personnel are helpful, but I was given keys for an apartment with a keypad. Was given the wrong key code twice. Minor setback, but it was frustrating after a long drive. Pool staff will discriminate if you are not from the area. My children were told not to use floaters, but other children used them previously. They were also told not to use water games, but older people and other children were allowed to. Other than that, this is a great place & I have stayed there two previous times without any issues.

We stayed at the Barefoot Resort North Tower. The facility is grand and has an amazing view of the marina, pool complex and Barefoot Resort. We were on the 9th floor so we were able to see the ocean from our balcony. Parking is easily accessible and the gated entrance made for a safe environment. The pool area being gated is also very nice. The elevators worked quickly and without issue. Our unit was a 3 bedroom, 3 bath and was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was not well appointed and the unit needed a few repairs. Staying at this type of resort one would expect the best both in furnishings and cleanliness. Better houskeeping and general maintenance issues/repairs needed lowered the star rating for this resort. Overall, wonderful resort for families.

Only disappointment was Mother Nature but she hasn’t been to kind to too many this past winter., just a little cool but it did warm up before we had to return North to real winter again.
