In the past used this company to repair my gas oven. The guy who came to do diagnostic managed to double cash my check by posting it thru his phone, and when I canceled second charge, they sent my debt to collection. He also did not provide any report stating that he would contact to me later. After waiting for several weeks I contacted Sears repair and found out that the repairman did not even put the report into system. It turned out that one of the parts was no longer available so they refused to do any repairs. Meanwhile, at the beginning of this ordeal, I was forced into contract with them which I canceled immediately after I found out that they offer only their products as replacements, which I was not interested in. Today, I was trying to call them to schedule refrigerator repair, because they were indicated as only closest service, and the woman on phone told me because I canceled their contract last time they cannot do anything for me, and she gave me a phone number of the repair company that located 25 miles away and not at service at the moment. Pretty much, it sound like an extortion. If I do not have a year contract with them (that amounts to about 800), they refuse the service. I thought they service any clients regardless existence of special annual contract.

Glenn was extremely professional. He arrived and did a comprehensive detailed service. Glenn was very kind, and informative. He gave us some great tips on how to maintain our washer & dryer, and a great plus on how to operate our fire extinguisher.

Our Service Engineer was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and a general pleasure to deal with. My 6-year old son shadowed and he was very good with him. The tractor is 14 years old, but far better than what I saw on show room floors currently. I was told if I keep care of this tractor I could get another 10 years out of it. Repair was sump gasket - I thought the tractor cracked the block the way it leaked. Very happy with the repair, tractor runs great once again.

I have never had a problem they are always professional and extremely friendly. They take care of business. What impressed me the most on this latest service call is when I called in for my icemaker the service technician discovered that the rubber that goes around the fridge had a hole at the bottom😱 He realize something was wrong when he open my refrigerator and saw that there was moisture on the top and the bottom of the glass. He examined the fridge and found the hole. I would have never discovered it. The part was ordered and he gave me a return date on the spot to put the new piece on the fridge. What is even greater is I learned a lesson that day. There is not supposed to be moisture on the top and the bottom of your glass. Must be air getting in from somewhere. Because of the heat wave and how hot it was going to get, he said it had to be fixed immediately. We were so appreciative, GREAT JOB.😊 I would also like to add to the folks out there, if possible KEEP YOUR SERVICE COVERAGE it has SAVED our family THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars over the years. Hopefully this was helpful and hopefully I will always have something positive to say about the service technicians from Sears🤗

Our water dispenser in our Kenmore Elite French Door refrigerator stopped working. I easily scheduled an appointment online and was reminded by text, phone, and email of the upcoming appointment more than once. The technician called 20 minutes before arriving (within the scheduled window of time) and was prompt and courteous. He quickly identified the problem, had the part on his truck, and we were operational within an hour of his arrival. Our experience with Sears Home Services has always been positive. The cost is comparable to other local companies and the convenience of a fast appointment - both in time it took and the availability of appointments - made it worth every penny. Good job, Sears!

My washer was not draining. I called Sears because I thought a repair person associated with a reputable company would be more trustworthy than an independent person. Sears sent someone to analyze the problem. He concluded that the pump was faulty. A part was ordered and a repair was scheduled once the part arrived. Six days after the first visit a repair man came to replace the pump. He did so. He told me that replacing the pump would not fix the problem--though he had replaced it and charged me over $350 to do so! He told me the problem was actually a clogged drain pipe. I asked if the pump was even damaged. He assured me it was and showed me the pump which he had taken apart. At the time I had a very strong feeling he had damaged the pump purposefully once he realized it was not the problem. The pump appeared fine on the outside. The technician had opened the pump himself and claimed an interior component was damaged. He urged me to fix the clogged pipe before restarting the washer or Id have the same problem.I snaked the pipe. I ran water through it. I reattached all the hoses. I ran the washer without clothes, it worked fine. Once I put clothes in and ran it it stopped and had the same initial problem it had previously exhibited and displayed the same error code. I replaced the the clogged pipe and put everything back together. The washer ran beautifully.I believe the only problem the washer ever had was the clogged pipe; a problem I fixed myself for about $40. I think I was charged over $350 for a part and service I did not require. I would not recommend Sears repair service. I found their repair people to be potentially corrupt and most likely their organization to conspiratorially/institutionally corrupt.

Technician was fine and found a clog in the dishwasher line. Sears on the other hand hit me with fees that are unacceptable. To clear a clog in a line took less that 20 minutes and the final bill. $169. I understand that there is a diagnostic fee of $59 but $300 per hour for repair services??? Really???

I tried calling 2 other appliance repair companies and they never returned the call. I was able to schedule an appointment online with Sears, they showed up on time and the price was fair. What more could you possibly want? I would certainly recommend them.

Repair person came within a matter of hours of my call and resolved the problem in minutes. So overall very efficient and professional. HOWEVER, all that was needed was to support one of the feet of our dishwasher which had slipped off a small piece of flooring that was obviously placed there to align it when appliance was installed. To then get a charge for almost $200 was mind boggling, especially after being told the diagnostic fee was $59. No parts were involved (other than a simple wood screw that I provided) and labor was minimal. So dont rely on advertised prices, they dont mean a thing.

Sears sent someone to diagnose our leaking dishwasher about 2 months ago. He simply told us we needed to change the detergent we were using, and also (falsely) said it needed a new motor. We said we dont want a new motor and paid the $59 diagnostic fee. We changed detergent, but the dishwasher still leaked. We called Sears again and requested they send a different person for another diagnosis. This time the new guy changed the latch on the door, and the leak is gone. We were happy with the latest repair, but not with the first guy they sent.

Snowblower was running terribly, and it did seem a carburetor problem, It would always start, but couldnt open the choke at all no matter how long it ran. It was also running weak and using too much gas. The technician who came was confident that was typical because of the new gas with ethanol, and changed the carburetor. He knew how to change it, because did it in no time. He recommended adding a gas additive to prevent problems because of the ethanol. It runs much better now, and can take it off choke and have it idle well and run well at full throttle.

Im still waiting for a followup appointment. My preveiously working furnace is now not working. The followup appointment yesterday was cancelled after the tech was supposed to arrive. This was a normal maintenance call, covered by my contract, the technician was knowledgable, on time and seemed to do a good job. My furnace had been working perfectly and stopped working 8 hours after he left. It will be a week before anyone can come an look at it. I dont mind waiting for an appointment to do general maintenance but a week without a furnace in the middle of winter is unacceptable.

The technician came very late in the day. We had to be around all day and only received notification of when he would arrive about 10 minutes before he got to our house. He worked for 15 or 20 minutes. Checked our air handler in house and then said he also did a check up of our outside condenser unit but it seemed very quick and Im not even sure he took the cover off our unit. We paid $140 for 20 minutes of service. Awful high for no real work. Were happy to have had things checked out but disappointed in what feels like less than quality service for the price we paid.

If I could rate them lower and still write a review, I would. On March 23rd, I called and had a technician come out to diagnose a problem with my dryer. It was a hefty repair cost as their diagnosis costs 110 and the drum wrapper was broken (an approx $250 part). They talked me into a whole home warranty to cover the repair and any other issues that came up.After that, for weeks into months, their call center told me the part was back-ordered. They kept scheduling service techs to come to my house and cancelling them. I would call to inquire about the part that I had to pay for in advance, and after an at least ten minute phone call (waiting on hold, confirming my info, asking me questions), they would tell me it was back ordered, that they would get back to me in 48 hours. I was never contacted except for another cancelled service appointment. By the end of April, I finally was fed up and cancelled my service and warranty. They said I would not receive a full refund on the home warranty since I used it. They still have not refunded the part. Im not sure theyve cancelled the order. Last week a tech was on his way to my house. Heres the kicker. I called Samsung. The part was not even back ordered. I ordered from Samsung directly and had the part (cheaper!) in less than 2 weeks, and they got me in touch with a great company (NiSI) to fix it the next day. All in all, Ive spent well over 50 hours on the phone talking to Sears reps, first trying to get my dryer fixed, and then just trying to cancel the service and get my money back. Ive never had to deal with a company so frustrating. How they have such a high rating here is BEYOND comprehension. I hope that I get my money back so I can put this whole thing behind me.

My Sears Kenmore HE Washer was purchased in Oct 2011. It stopped working a few weeks ago and I called Sears for service who visited 3 times and tried to repair the machine. Unfortunately the results were repeatedly unsuccessful so I went out and purchased a Speed Queen from a local vendor out of frustration. Not having the use of a washer for a few weeks is not acceptable to a modern family! Throughout the ordeal I learned that the High Efficiency Machines have a short life ( 5-6 years) and in spite of the competitive price will cost more in the long run due to service requirements. I am unhappy at having spent $260 fore service and have nothing to show for it. I called Sears and asked if they would apply the money towards a new washer and they told me they could not. I have a few other Sears appliances (dryer, stove, refrigerator, lawnmower) and have lost my confidence in the brand. Unless I get reimbursed for lack of service I will not be a return customer. There was a limb on my refrigerator door that was broken. At first I thought they would just come in and replace the spring but after the initial call they ordered a brand new part. the part arrived in one day and we scheduled a tech to come out. the tech was on time and completed the job in a timely manner.

Tech was unable to make any repairs. In fact, he actually worsened the situation. We are loyal Sears customers and have maintenance plans on all of our appliances - this experience has been very upsetting. Sears Stac department has not been helpful either. Disappointing and still in dispute.

The worst company I have had to deal with in a very long time. Sears does not show up for appointments, they mislead about times and I wasted a full day with 5 different times (8am to 10:15 pm) they would come and no one shows up. On the sencond appointment day they showed at 5:30 and they didnt fix the central A/C unit. I only gave them 1 star because I could not post this with no starsPlease be aware
