Could have been better. To be a large store the shelves were just about empty. This was my first visit and it looks like itll be my last.

It was the best bargain store ever since the 99 cents lots store that I went through! I cant wait to go here again!

Dollar tree had nice selection of things I wanted. But i hate when it takes longer for me to check out than it did for me to shop. ☹

I love to go shopping in the Dollar Tree. The only thing that I didnt like was there was only one cashier to pay my purchases and the person didnt want to work that day.

Theres no reason to write a bad review. Im pretty sure its closed due to Covid. You guys did not follow the rules and choose to be bunched up in lines. This store is way too small for that. This is not Shoprite this is a Dollar Tree. I dont know what made yall want to go food shopping every damn day in this store. Dollar Tree is not for that.

Dollar tree has the most rudest workers on the planet. Please everyone do not go to dollar tree in Newark nj on market street and its always dirty and nasty.

Every single time I go to this Dollar Tree, it is closed. The doors do not open, but the lights inside are on. None of the staff comes to the door. No cars in the parking lot. Its across from the Newark ShopRite, convenient but never open since December when I moved to the area. Everytime I go to ShopRite, from now on, I will look at this Dollar Tree as a joke, a piece of worthless garbage as a store and never bother ever to go over to it, again, to see if it is open, which it is not. Michael.

I been her before and my sperience was good. The reason i am giving a bada review is cuz i went over there a d the place have been shut down and judging by the merch inside it has been close before Christmas. I wsh they could at least update a little saying it is temporarily close.

The cashier was very slow, customers were not respecting the social distancing rules. On the other hand there were a wide variety of items to choose from, the shopping lanes were very clean and in order, I just wish the overall community would show more respect for the business and themselves.

Dollar Tree in Maplewood is awesome. The workers are so polite and helpful. The Dollar Tree on Springfield Ave. and Maple Ave the workers at that store need to be trained by the workers from Maplewood. They have nasty guetto attitudes.

Dollar Tree is located on Springfield Avenue in Newark this Dollar Tree is a newer location the service is good the vibe is decent and of course you can find some pretty cool stuff at Dollar Tree the only problem is the store is always sold out of things and not well stocked so I am a little upset about that but it’s not like a grocery store where you know what you’re getting you just go in there and look for cool things

Horrible customer service. Cashiers always trying to fight with the customers. They have people walking in without masks. Slow service!!! Cant say not enough employees because they will have people grouped somewhere talking ignoring the line forming at the register. And even when in front of the cashiers, they manage to find more use talking to each other than attending to the customers.They just dont care. If that wasnt the cheapest store around no one would bother going in. Theyre just rude! But I guess management is just as unbothered if they manage to hire people of the sort. One star is for the convenience of being around. Horrible staff!

It’s makes no sense how the line is too the back of the store and there is only 1 register open. There are 4 employees on the floor stocking one of them should jump in and help. I asked the manager on duty that’s just hanging in front of the register why don’t she open a register or get someone else to open one her response was we’re killing them when more than 1 register is open that is unacceptable for any business

I went in there just to get me a ice cold drink i was sure thirsty and one of the cashiers like i had to have a mask on or i wont be served i was like whhhuuuhhh i said i drunk from it already are you giving me a free drink or what never mind all that gooffyyyy stuff you talking bout do i have a free drink or naahhhh then he was like well if i get the rona it aint their fault i said dont wish youre sickness on me cause you might turn around and get it

Always had bad experiences at the on sprigfield ave Newark. Today customer request cashier to pull up her mask which she would not. Customers asked her, she did not. Customers ask for manager. I put my purchase down , Walked out never to return . Only had problems with sprigfield ave.

This store has to be the worst Ive seen. Garbage bins outside are Atrocious. Literally boxes everywhere. Little holes in chip bags which Indicates theres mice biting through bags. Nothing stocked. One line open filled with ppl. Management needs to be terminated immediately!

When me and husband enter manager or when ever she is never said hello she just said I need your book bag I told her my debit cards and money was inside my bag she claim it policy to take bags there no sign or proper place to put bags we sit our bags on top of store merchandise and theres no employee watching your bags she clearly walked away and became a cashier which I think is very unacceptable that you have a guard or someone watching it bags if anyone could have came up there and took my bags and theyre going to have some type of policy that you have someone up there in the front with numbers and a hand giving that person number so they can know whos bags it belongs to if anyting was taken it out my bag bag it would have no problem I came do several times and never had this problem

This location by far is the worst!!! Shelves poorly stocked, sales help/cashiers have poor attitudes and every last time I have shopped there the cashiers were engaged in personal conversations, and didnt acknowledge the customers. Ownership should do a surprise visit to witness this failure of a business!!!

Its dollar tree. Everything is a dollar. Be careful to speak up to the shoppers that try to disrespect the 6ft rule. The employees wont say anything so you have to speak up

We absolutely love Dollar Tree. It is wonderful for picking up snacks for the week. And I am always delighted at what item that is quite pricey at another store can be found there for just 1 dollar. Dollar Tree is the best!

Just about empty!!!! Everything to cook in was sold out. Its a popular location, so you have to come early. The computers were slow due to the high number of transactions. There were only two registers open....

Ive been to at least 12 Dollar Tree stores this is the dirtiest. The store never has product in freezer or on shelves Boxes are stacked in the aisles with product. You can rarely find what you are looking for or they say they have run out. The few staff you have working are courteous and polite. Its a mess rather a disaster in this store whenever you go. Clean it up hire reliable workers

Great to save big bucks,do not expect to find same products two days later sold out. Store busy .shop early in am . Its a job keeping shelves stocked. Personal stacking often. For my saving.thats the place to try first, then. Big names stores

The store has reopened. For weeks it had been closed by the City of Newark. I wonder why. If its clean, Dollar Tree is a great place for $1.00 deals.

They have one person at the register when they know the store is super busy . It is absolutely ridiculous. Also the shelves are ALWAYS empty when I do there.

Great staff, unfortunately thats where it ends. The garbage outside is always overflowing. The inside is ALWAYS messy. (boxes, garbage etc.) Lastly there are SO many things they just never have. Ive never been to such a crappy location. Ive given it a few chances. Today was the last.

Dollar Tree on Springfield Avenue is the best I like that store and has prices affordable for what you can afford its the best store in this area

Very busy Dollar Tree but they appear to be overwhelmed and under staffed. The balloon area is a joke. Have a little patience when going to this particular DT.

THERE WERE ONLY 2 CASHIERS OPEN ON CHRISTMAS EVE... THE LINES WERE GOING THE AISLE AND THEY STILL WOULDNT OPEN UP ANOTHER REGISTER...BUT THE GOOD PART ABOUT IT THEY HAD EVERY THING I WENT IN THERE FOR.....

When we walked in the store there were no Christmas decorations up. They were getting ready to unpack boxes. I asked the clerk for assistance and she went out of her way to assist. She unpacked boxes just for us. Thank you.

They are always ready for the holidays. Plus they have all the smaller things that you need at home. Very well stocked at times. Their security services is and embarrassing to the neighborhood. Just because youre in an urban areas dont treat us any worst than you treat customers elsewhere. I watched their sales manager,and security mistreat a woman. They wrongly accusing of stealing. I watched the woman bring the item in the store with her. She held it up so everyone could see that it came in with her. She was than charged for the item and she was very angry and told them. To keep both the money and the item. “I am not a crook she kept saying”. She kept asking them to call the police and the manager refused to do so. It was a terrible experience. Other than this the store is okay. Sometimes I stop in here before going to the big supermarket. I found many items here cheaper than the supermarket. Yes, the expiration dates were good. The food sales out of here quickly. So I suggest that you get here early. But beware if you don’t plan on spending a lot of money. The only way that won’t happen. Is if you don’t take all your money with you. You’ll come here for one item and leave out of here with far more. The store is great they just need better customer service and better managers. Very unprofessional behavior at this store.

Great staff but however the store is messy dirty and very sloppy. Boxes all over the place where someone could get hurt and fall. Garbage everywhere inside and out. You cant even get stuff off the shelves because the boxes are piled in front of it. The staff is wonderful but they need more workers. Stop being cheap and hire enough people to run your store efficiently. Otherwise I dont see the store lasting very long.

On 12/29/2016 I needed help with glass plates! I approached one of the girls working at the store and she told that she couldnt go to the back to get more plates, she told me to come back Monday 01/02/2017... This place is harible the manager does not pay attention. The place is always a mess and they always have long lines when only one register is open. I came today usually theyre open at 8 a.m. they have a new sign out front that says 9 a.m. does the people who actually owne this place know that the manager is running this Dollar Tree down the ground. They lost a least over 20 people today that came and left just because they dont want to open at the original time cuz the manager is lazy

I went to the Dollar Tree in Newark to purchase some products along with a drink called Tampico. When I tasted the drink it was nasty. Then I looked at the expiration date May 27th 2018... Today is September 5th 2018. Make sure you check for expired Foods.

What i dont get is how come they freezers are always EMPTY... Its like a waste of time goin there u might as well go to shoprite plus its very dirty in there the staff seems like they just walk around all day doin nothing but getting paid... Its always TONS of boxes all over the store why? When they should be packed out as soon as they get them..
