My 30-year old EBEL watch was in need of a new battery. I found that my long term go-to watch repair guy had closed his business...On one day, I was fortunate enough to find Taj Jewelry. First, I wasn’t sure, only because I had never been to this shop. However, when the proprietor asked me if the watch in question was the kind that opened up on the front, not on the back, I knew I came to a good place. He changed the battery for a very reasonable fee. I am so happy. The proprietor is very courteous and professional, plus very friendly. A very nice gentleman. I have no idea why I had never known this shop in the 34 years I’ve lived in Greenwich Village!

He fixed my wedding ring well but then offered to fix my eyeglasses for $40 and was unable to finish the job (but wanted the full amount) so that was disappointing.

Unlike others, had a bad experience, brought my fossil watch in for battery replacement, told me come back in a n hour, when he took the watch out the crystal was cracked, When he saw that I noticed this he said it was cracked when he got it but he changed the battery anyway. Insisted I brought it in that way. If I had noticed it he would have said nothing, insisted I knew it was cracked and that is why I noticed it right away, HE took the battery out as I asked why would you put the battery in a watch that was cracked, Very unhappy, trying to support a small business in my area and I get screwed.
