First class lodging. Beautiful lobby and top notch front desk staff. No key required for elevators, but doors are watched by the bellhops 24x7. Comfortable, recently renovated rooms in excellent condition. I only wish I could have dined at the lounge, which was closed due to covid (why?).

I had a great experience staying at The Lexington Hotel, the customer service was outstanding (THANK YOU Amein for being so friendly and helping us find food at 1 AM). Our family had the 1 bedroom suite. It was extremely comfortable and quite spacious. We had a separate living room area with a pullout sofa bed. The room was very well cleaned with a decent view of Lexington Ave and 48th street. The front desk team was top notch. They even provided us with umbrellas when the weather called for rain. Couldnt ask for better service. Just an FYI, you cant escape the sounds of NYC even on the 22nd floor. Would definitely go back to this hotel and tell friends. Prices were extremely reasonable for NYC.

My husband and I stayed at the Lexington recently during our visit to NYC. They just reopened on Friday August 6. We were given the “deluxe” room, unfortunately it did not feel very deluxe. The room size itself looked to be the average size of most hotel rooms, and the bathroom was very small with very little counter space. Maybe compared to it’s other rooms it was larger, but I have no way to compare that. Despite that, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. We did have an issue with trying to cool the room down, it felt warm and muggy inside, which made for a lot of tossing and turning at night. We were disappointed that even though the hotel had reopened, their restaurant and bar was still closed, which was important for us and it was not visibly listed on their main page, otherwise we would have booked elsewhere. We tried calling them before our stay to confirm anything was open, but since they did not open until the day we arrived on the 6th, we were unable to reach anyone to verify. This made for a frustrating start to our vacation. During times like these, I would advise to call ahead with your questions if possible to make sure places are open.

Rooms are cramped and some of the services are not online yet. Price per night is decent based on the location but still high based on the lack of amenities. Guest WiFi is moderately slow, decent for web browsing but poor for streaming. Restrooms in the bedrooms and lobby are fairy nice at a glance but have loose fixings and some cheap decoration. A nice hotel at first, but one that is lacking in key areas of comfort and convenience.

I really like the Autograph collection of hotels and stay with them frequently. Each, including this location has unique and enjoyable ambience. This location is excellent and pretty centralized. Staff handling check-in is very pleasant, as is the manager. There was a helpful gentleman working out front who hailed cabs and was eager to assist as necessary. He was very nice. Majority of hotels amenities were not available, despite the advertising of them during booking process. This did not deter the hotel from charging a daily resort fee, even after I brought it to their attention. Shower in room had problems. No coffee machine in room for first 2 days. After that, staff wouldnt refill coffee pods that were used. Bag man was horribly rude. We left bags with him due to our late flight. Each bag had a charge, no matter the size. This was the first time in my travels that I was charged in this manner. Typically I tip for bags. This is the short list of issues. I have never been so disappointed at an Autograph collection hotel, and will write to corporate shortly.

Loved having a drink at the Stayton Room hotel bar before going out. Rooms were clean with good sound-proof walls (next to an elevator). Great location—accessible to all of Midtown and Grand Central if venturing out further. Loved my stay and was sad to leave!

The Lexington is listed as a limited service hotel since they don’t have room service or a restaurant. They do have Starbucks and a breakfast buffet in the AM. I can tell you, don’t let that fool you. What they lack is more than made up for in hospitality and service. The staff here know how to treat you as a customer I feel like family and have now come back many times because of how the staff treats me, and every person I have recommended. Irina is a very special person and the ultimate Ambassador for Marriott. If you have status, they recognize you and make sure your every need is taken care of. If there is an issue during your stay, it’s taken care of immediately. All I can say is that if you are looking for value with Service, you won’t be disappointed in the Lexington. From the drink coupons in the bar with bar bites, to the buffet in the AM to the festive Christmas Decorations, the place is a true treasure and a joy. Well done Lexington Staff. Make sure you get to meet Irina. The most passionate person I have met and I am a solid 75-100 night Marriott traveler.

5 stars isn’t enough to rate this hotel. We were there over the weekend and while they were able to accommodate an early check in, they asked if we’d like rooms next to each other. We were happy to wait a little extra time for the second room. Oscar was extremely generous and helpful throughout our entire stay and every staff member we encountered couldn’t have been more helpful or polite. The location in Midtown is so convenient and the bar in the lobby (Stayton room) is fantastic. Great staff there too. Without a doubt I’ll be staying there during my next trip to New York City.

Upon arrival I was promptly greeted by Jose who began my check in process. I had a special weekend planned and Irina came out and welcomed me and was very helpful even setting us up with a bottle of prosecco and a couple champagne glasses. Although, the room was not quite ready I was allowed to take my baggage up and begin setting up for my girlfriends arrival. The concierge was able to direct me to a florist and the Amish Market for a few items. For another review but check out the Amish Market too. Wally the bellman was a tremendous help the next night with a getting a pizza up to our room. All in all the entire staff was really amazing for our special weekend and we couldnt have asked for better service. This is all in addition to the Lexington Hotel just having the coolest vibe to it. We intend on making the Lexington our New York home whenever we come to the city. Irina, Jose, Wally, I apologize but dont remember the concierge name, Thank you all so much!

Oddly enough, 5 years ago while employed with a hospitality marketing company, I re-designed the Lexingtons website and always admired the classic decor, and rich history of the hotel. This weekend, was my first time actually stepping onto the property and I was extremely impressed with the friendly staff, open lobby and the slick vintage 50s B&W film noir video running on flat panels behind the front check-in counter. Again, super cool visual touch! However, my main reason for writing is to credit the on-staff manager (Irina B.) who was extremely understanding after I mentioned my 1st room lacked sufficient window lighting, and kindly upgraded my room.Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for affordable classic, luxury charm in the heart of the city. The Lexington Hotel is located near Grand Central station, in the heart of Manhattan. Central Park is a ten minute walk. We were welcome by Gladys at the check-in desk who was very friendly and sorted us a great room. The lobby is quite funky with lots of Marylin Monroe references. The bar is serving Dom Perignon 2008 (great year) by the glass which made my girlfriend very happy.Only negatives: firstly, the outside of the hotel looks very old, quite a contrast to the stylish interior. Also, despite having a premium room, I thought the room was really small, but then again this is NY.Overall this was perfect for a romantic week end, with triple star for our welcome and for the unbeatable location.

I really liked that the hotel made contact with me via text message. Any concerns I had were immediately addressed and I really appreciate that. The only reason I didnt give the hotel a perfect score is because the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. You can tell that it is an older hotel that has been renovated. Also, as much as I appreciated a hotel that addressed my needs I would prefer for basic necessities to already be provided. For example, the room we stayed in was for 4 people but when we arrived we did not have any wash cloths and only 3 towels. I loved that we got water bottles for free and the tea, coffee, sparkling and still water section was wonderful. Overall the staff was lovely and attentive. The hotel lobby is gorgeous, classy and welcoming but the room leaves a little to be desired.

I booked this hotel because it was in a great location - close to Grand Central - and was within my budget. I definitely think it was worth booking here. The staff was very professional and accommodating - our room wasnt ready when we arrived so they took down our phone number to call when the room was ready as well as removing some room fees and providing us with beverage vouchers for the hotel bar (which was excellent), breakfast vouchers, and upgraded our room. I think they went above and beyond to provide outstanding service and to compensate for the inconvenience. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in and I slept really well both nights. The visit started poorly on a floor that had a bit so great smell in the hallway, but it was quickly handled by Oscar (manager) and upon a switch to a different floor, I was able to enjoy the hotel and character of the building well. The bar menu and service at the Stayton room was great quality and I’d rate the hotel well. I gave a 4 rather than a 5 only due to the poor start and fact we blew a fuse in room bathroom. The accommodations are all that we would want, the location is excellent for theater, restaurants, subway. The best part though, are the people who work at this hotel. We find them to be personable, accommodating, informative and all around delightful. We have been gifted with meeting two of the managers, Dan Briks and Irina Borukhor, both of whom went out of their way to make our stays on two separate visits, extra special. Dan is clearly one of our treasures. He has made each of our stays superb! Our golden treasure, Irina, on this most recent visit, spent quite some time with us chatting and sharing information on restaurants and the area. I have nothing but great things to say about The Lexington. I’ll start off with the location being perfect! Was close enough to all major attraction to walk or take the train if needed. The staff is what made this hotel so great though. We had arrived at 7 am hoping to get into the room to get some rest, the hotel had been sold out so Brena at the front desk did her very best to get us into a room as soon as possible. It had been raining outside so going and napping at Central Park wasn’t an option. She was super nice and accommodating! The location of this hotel is perfect. Midtown and close to just about everything. The lobby is fun and inviting, especially if you are a Marilyn Monroe fan. However, we did encounter a few glitches. We arrived well after check-in time only to be told our room wasnt ready. That in itself was irritating, but was made worse by the room we eventually were given. Tiny, (as is common in NY) had a musty/moldy smell, and a horrendous view. After expressing our displeasure and dissatisfaction, my husband was put in touch with Oscar, who I believe is the manager. Oscar went above and beyond to be helpful and truly made our stay. He got us into a much better room the following day and went out of his way to insure our stay was pleasant. We were only there for 3 nights, so it was a brief visit, but I felt I had to give a positive review due to the service we received from Oscar. It is because of him that I hope to stay at The Lexington Hotel on future visits to NYC.

On the morning of 1/10/20 we had left the hotel around 9 for breakfast and errands and returned back for a short time around 12:30 pm. Our room had not been made up so when we left again at 2 pm we kindly stopped at the front desk and ask that they make up our room. No, problem the women stated and wanted to know the room #. Upon returning at 10:30 PM we entered the room and it was not made up. Very disappointed. We called the front desk and explained that nothing had been done and they would find someone and send them up to make up the room. The housekeeping person was very kind and apologetic when she arrived but by the time (10 min) she left she turned rather angry and was making sarcastic remarks. Im assuming it may have been because we didnt provide her a tip right then. Our thought was why would we tip her for a mistake the front desk made. Upon check out the front desk asked how things were and we explained what happened and her comment was oh, Im sorry. We will give you some points. I wasnt looking for anything for her, but to use an apparent mgmt directive to offer points and get the customer out the door is insulting. I have stayed at the Lexington earlier this past year and was planning on stating again in early April however Im concerned about how we were treated. I do like the Marriott brand, but this leaves a bad taste.Thank you

Loved staying at this property. The lobby was beautiful and have many stylish pictures. Loved all the Marilyn Monroe quotes and posters. The restaurant onsite for breakfast and dinner was delicious. Definitely recommend the chicken pesto panini! The drinks are very tasty too. The rooms were luxurious and comfortable.

The Lexington is a great hotel. I visit NYC often and wouldnt stay at any other. I think its in a great location-easy to get around NYC from there. All the staff are friendly, helpful and always smiling. The rooms are clean and spacious and provide you with everything that you need. The lobby and mezzanine are great and you can tell because a lot of guests use it as a gathering space, and a place to chat and have a drink. There is no other.

Had to come into the city for a weekend business training. Overall it was a good stay, complimentary drink vouchers a really nice touch, and the staff was extremely efficient and accommodating! Nice morning hotel coffee as well as the ability to get a quick drink/food at the Starbucks in the foyer before hailing a cab to my destination! Great business center accessibility to print a quick document I needed!! Room and TV were comfortable for the most part, but I did have some issues with a lukewarm, low water pressure shower both mornings of my stay and A/C thermostat problems... So, it was nice, not thrilling, but nice to stay at the Lexington and enjoy my visit in NYC...! :)

I booked this hotel site unseen and fairly inexperienced in NYC. It was as it portrayed online. The entire hotel was attractive and clean and the staff was lovely...managers, chambermaid and concierge. Only down side was the dressing area options. Didnt have a second area with Tabletop area, mirror and plugs to use outside of small bathroom. We had a double room so it was obvious it should be able to accommodate two people dressing to leave hotel. Also, the hotel lobby was always bustling with people and that was fun...not too crowded though.

I recently stayed here with my dog. The hotel staff are friendly, and the lobby is large and spacious, with a really nice bar and restaurant, and seating in the mezzanine area as well or you could lounge around and relax. The hotel is overall very clean inconveniently located in the heart of Midtown on Lexington Avenue, with lots of subway options nearby. The rooms are a little bit dated but it’s clean and the staff is friendly. There is a Starbucks located in the same building. They also give you drink vouchers for the bar and there are happy hours at the hotel. Overall a very nice stay!

We booked the hotel directly it was quick and easy. On arrival the staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms were small ( but it is New York) but very clean and lots of storage space for clothes & luggage. Housekeeping were very good too. We didn’t have breakfast there, but the all day complementary coffee, teas and water were a brilliant addition. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. They had a very hard job with so many people staying, having meetings. Very impressed. The hotel was really good base for sightseeing, & shopping. I assume for a business base too as a lot of business people there. I would highly recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel before Christmas. We walked into a beautiful setting, Christmas tree, music and complimentary wine. Lots of “wow” factor. However, the magic stopped there. On one side of the hotel, there is a very very loud fan blowing all the time. We were moved room after we spoke to reception but we cannot be the first or the last people to mention this, it’s like an aircraft taking off! Breakfast is cramped and poor also. The amazing atmosphere in reception and exceptional staff do not mask the issues above, hopefully the management can invest to fix things but until they do, stay elsewhere in NYC.

I regularly stay at the Lexington for work and will continue to do so. Staff is friendly and courteous and attentive to requests. The rooms are updated and range from cosy to spacious. I’ve been upgraded in the past. This is one of the better priced Marriott options in this neighborhood typically as well. Gym isn’t crowded. My only hope is, when possible, they add some more food items at the bar. Those they have are good, but it’s a selective menu. However, there are plenary of options around the neighborhood so not a real issue.

Hotel is very well maintained, beds are very comfortable and breakfast is wonderful - great selection and quality. Hotel is very quiet and restful. Staff do their best to accommodate requests. Ask for a higher floor away from the noisy fan at the back of the building. Great location for New York - you can walk everywhere.

While the initial exterior appearance may make you think twice about the Lexington Hotel, any hesitation fades once you set foot in the lively festive lobby. From check-in to evening drinks to breakfast, the atmosphere is buzzing, which I personally enjoyed. Stayed 11 nights -- never got old. My new favorite hotel (and Hotel Elysee was my prior favorite!).

We had a great experience with the hotel. Appreciated the free room upgrade and extra perks like a bar credit. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Overall fun atmosphere. I also appreciated the ability to leave our bags at the hotel after checkout so that we could spend extra time in Midtown without a hassle.

Hotel overall was good. Bathroom was rusty in parts which need a revamp. However staff are friendly and helpful. Bell man think his name was Marcus needs a raise as he is brilliant with the guests all day everyday. Good local 15/20 mins from main shops and Times Square.

The Lexington is my “go to” hotel - I travel to NYC frequently for business, and always try to stay here - it has a cool vibe with a unique decor reminiscent of the days gone by. I love the story that Marilyn Monroe lived here with Joe DiMaggio. The staff is very accommodating - nothing ever seems to be too much to ask. The rooms are comfortable, and some large for NYC. The lobby bar has a jazz trio at night, that is very relaxing after a long day. And Starbucks is just off the lobby. I can not say enough good things about this hotel. Thank you Marriott!

This hotel is unique as soon as you step in the lobby - and not in a way that looks like they are trying too hard, but rather in a way that makes you feel like it is not a cookie-cutter hotel! The person who greeted me at reception was very warm and friendly, which again, did not feel forced but genuine! I appreciated being offered a drink voucher as a nice way to end a day of long travel. The rooms are small but well-maintained and appointed! I would definitely stay here again!

I travel to NY about two times a month for business. I am Marriott loyal and generally stay in Times Square due to the proximity of the office. I love Marriott and have always had a great stay in my typical hotel. On a whim I tried the Lexington as I wanted to check out a new area of town. The Lexington was a beautiful property and the staff was professional, yet fun. I found the hotel inviting and I love the common areas. I booked my next personal trip there as I know my husband will love the property as well. I highly recommend based of location, property and amenities and staff! I now refer to it as my new home away from home.

The Autograph Collection Lexington Hotel in NYC is a great little boutique hotel. Perfect location, near Grand Central and many cafes + restaurants. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to all requests. The inviting lobby features free events almost every night including an awesome magician on Thursday nights and a jazz band on Friday nights. Clean and comfortable rooms, bathrooms are small but fine. We did not eat at the hotel, so we cannot write about the food, but the drinks and lobby bar very nice and the Starbucks is entered from their lobby. We recommend this hotel for business, leisure and family trips.

Excellent stay...room was small but clean and cozy. The location is excellent as well, being within walking distance of Rockefeller Center, and other landmarks including Grand Central Terminal, the Chrysler Building and Central Park.It was nice to receive drink vouchers for use at the bar. Employees were friendly as well. Lobby decorated in 1930s deco style was a nice touch as well.I couldnt stay for my planned third night and I received a refund without hesitation. That was a a relief and greatly appreciated.

The hotel is very nice located and apparently nice and new when you come in...the surprise (negative) comes when you arrive in your room. Very small and not equipped at all. The first night I had no blanket in my bed even if it was one of coldest day of the season in NY . The air conditioning system was old and noisy. I took a shower and the shower soap was never replaced in the following day...Just to say a few of the nice things that happened

Awesome staff, responsiveness and great location! Would have given higher rating but the “perk” of free disposable water bottles is environmentally and must create a tremendous amount of waste each day. Perhaps with NYC tap water being pretty good there could be some alternative solutions? Overall would recommend though!

Ive stayed at the Lexington Hotel on 2 occasions for business in the last year. The Lobby is very inviting and bright. All of the staff during check in were very friendly and inviting! Both rooms I have stayed in were updated and clean. There was nothing I needed that I couldnt get from a quick walk around the corner. Great restaurants right across the street. I would highly recommend this hotel to someone looking for an original, updated, safe and great hotel! I wont be staying anywhere else when visiting NY!

Disgusting interior hallways and guest rooms. Everything smelled like mold and cigarettes, and looked like it hadn’t been replaced in 20 years. Bathroom drain was broken. Room was dirty. Heating system malfunctioned. No sound proofing on the windows. And the thinnest blanked I’ve ever experienced at a hotel on the bed. Horrendous place. The only good thing I can say is that the front desk staff were very friendly.

Great midtown location, good service and a nice lobby bar. There is a fun Marilyn Monroe theme to the hotel because she lived there when she was married to Joe DiMaggio. Just be warned, the rooms are very small and amenities are lacking. Not a big deal for us because we didn’t spend much time in the room, but it’s worth noting.
