Took my vehicle there for a blown head gasket. Car sat out there for a month and they did not touch it. All while the coolant/oil mix ate at my crank and bearings. They finally did the top end work on the car (took about another month) and then they replaced the oils sensing unit and the oil pump due to low oil pressure. Stated they inspect the bottom of the engine (but did not) and I finally got the vehicle back. 2300 miles later the main bearings failed in the vehicle totally destroying the motor. My new mechanic looked at it and sent me the pictures of the rusted and destroyed bearings, metal shavings all throughout. Might be a good place to get tires and oil changed but that is it.***Update 7/7/2017*** Finalized a BBB complaint on the company today. The BBB has closed the case because American Tire & Auto refused to respond to it. They are NOT BBB Accredited, I leave the decision up to you.

Rude front desk staff. I was inquiring to make an apt. was told come back tomorrow first thing and wait is your best bet. No question about what was wrong nothing. I went elsewhere.

Took in my truck driving for small engine repairs and got it back needing a new engine after sitting for almost 7 months. Had to get it towed to a different shop. Dont recommend this place at all!

Had my truck for nearly two months for an exhaust leak. Tires maybe... mechanics definitely not. Nothing but false promises and poor communication. BUYER BEWARE!

Told them I was limited on time because I had to go to work and they put a rush on it for me. Now that is first class service!

Used to be a great place when they were at there former location. Now they are unreliable. Came in to get my tires changed after work. Showed up at 530 and the owner told me they were closed. Their website says 6pm and I also showed him the sticker on the front door of his tire shop that said 6pm. He gave me attitude the whole time like it was my fault he wanted to close early. They did change the tires but I had to bring it back 3 times to get my tires balanced correctly. Also brought a truck in for a tune up and had major problems. So we took the truck to a different shop. Turns out American had broken the retainer screw on the distributor cap and had only replaced 4 of the 8 spark plugs. We paid for 8 plugs but apparently they only replaced the 4 that were easy to get to. Disappointed

We took our Ram 1500 truck to them to have a digital trailer brake installed. We purchased a unit through American Tire and they installed it. The first 4 attempts we were told each time that it was working but really it wasnt. We went Hwy 21 to Lowman with no trailer brake, not fun. My husband had to reach down every time he hit the brake and push the button to wake it up so that it would work. Not very helpful in the switchbacks. The 5th appointment we were told we had to go to the dealership to have an app updated on the truck. So, another 85 dollars, on top of the cost of the unit and installation later, we had everything updated and it still did not work. So back we went again. This time on my 30th wedding anniversary. My husband told them he needed to be gone asap or he would be in trouble. No less than 5 HOURS LATER, he pulled into the driveway saying its fixed we are ready to go. Again, it was not fixed! I was livid! Now that was attempt #6. Then we took it to UHaul. The poor guy spent 2 hours or better trying to get our nice digital unit to work. He brought it out, handed it to my husband and said I have no idea why they did this to this unit. It looked like Medusas hair. There were no less than 5 to 6 connections on each wire of the would be harness. American Tire cut the wiring harness on the first attempted installation and ruined the unit permanently. Then they cut the wiring in our truck! The UHaul guy did NOT charge us the $97.00 he was supposed to. And he actually felt so bad for us that he brought out a different unit he had and GAVE it to us and said good luck. He told us we will probably have to go to the dealership and be totally rewired!! The following day my husband called American Tire and spoke with a female. Jason the owner was standing near her because my husband could hear her talking to him and hear his responses. My husband told her what was going on, she was relaying it to Jason then Jason told her to tell him that he would have to drop off the truck and they would look at it for the 7th time. Yes, the 7th time. He told her he couldnt do that because he doesnt have 3 vehicles and Jasons response was quote, unquote Hell just have to figure it out. REALLY??? We have been going to this shop since they opened up in Nampa on 12th Ave. So for quite a few years now. We have bought tires from them when I had my 2013 Camaro, my van, his Denali, etc. We have had brake jobs done there as well. So its not like we were Joe Blow off the street, which it shouldnt matter anyway. The whole ordeal ended in the 7th appointment. Mike is the only one worth a damn here! They not only could not use the original unit we paid for, which we are out that money as well as the installation cost, but we had to use the free unit the guy from UHaul gave us. At least it works now. I hope no one else has to go through the stress, money, time and headache that we have with these jokers. I am reporting them to the BBB as well.

This place is a joke! Avoid at all costs!! This is the second time I have had American Tire change my oil and I was not impressed the first time and now I am extremely frustrated with them. I don’t understand why it is so hard to KEEP OIL OUT OF THE CAB of the car! The first time I took it in I was greeted with a hand print of oil on the sun visor. First of all, WHY DO YOUR EMPLOYEES THINK ITS OKAY TO TREAT PEOPLE’S VEHICLES SO POORLY!!!! I specifically told them the second time around that I was not happy with their previous attempt and they assured me this time that they would wear gloves. Unsurprisingly after I picked my car up again there is YET ANOTHER OIL STAIN FROM YOUR MECHANIC’S DIRTY HANDS!!! My experience with American Tire has solidified my decision to ONLY TRUST THE DEAERSHIP. Very poor quality staff and work. Ironically, I was told on my way out the second time that they “Checked to make sure it was clean”. Maybe we have a different definition of what clean means. I can’t stress enough how poorly this place performs in general. My family has had nothing but trouble every time with this place. They should call it American Auto Mess!!!

The workers are fine and do their work. I just had a problem with scheduling. I made a reservation so I could get my car in and out during my lunch hour. I only needed my oil changed. I made an appointment online and after it said someone will call/email to confirm. I didnt get anything. I called on the day of the appointment to confirm. I let them know that I didnt get a confirmation, asking if I was still in, and the guy interrupted me asking what I needed. I said, I made an appointment for my oil change. Is it available? He said, Yes, come in. I got there at my appointment time and 20 minutes after I checked in, I see my car go in. I was finished after 1pm, which is when I needed to be back at work. I arrived back to work late. I brought in a coupon so I cant say anything negative about the service. I just wished they would honor their scheduler since people need to get to work or wherever, and thats why they make appointments.

Had an alignment done. Didnt tighten tie rod nuts, steering wheel crooked, tires towed in to much causeing premature wear. Do not use!

Been needing tires for awhile. Called the night before. Came in the next morning. 45 mins later out the door with 4 new beauties! I have been researching prices for months. Best price especially for oversized truck tires. Very pleasant and courtious. I cant wait to not shake on the freeway!

Tech stood around for awhile, then took his time putting side steps on my truck. They charged me by the hour and the tech sure took his time. They also ripped my steering wheel cover, and the steps are basically turned straight up in the air. Pretty dissatisfied with the service. Also asked them to check my front end for loose parts since I was there over 2 hours, and they forgot.

Great customer service went in for a dismount and mount and it only cost me $15 when everybody else wanted $30.. good looking out American tire.

When I called this company they told me $54.95 for an alignment. I also asked the time frame, I did give them my car make, model and year. I was told an hour. My husband and I took our car up, I needed to run errands and we literally live down the street from this shop we took it in around noon, at 2 it was still sitting in the same spot. It was almost 3 in the afternoon when my husband went to pick up the car. My husband called me and told me they charged him $74.95 when we had been told $54.95 they did refund the money hence the 3 star rating but we will not be taking our vehicles back to this place!!

Dont ever go here these people will not fix anything you bring to them right had to go to them 5 times because they said my pickup was done and it was never done. And then they complained to me about the pickup when they wouldnt even fix it fight the first time.

Fast, professional, courteous. I used to deliver auto parts to these guys and they are great! I bought my tires from them and got a flat one day, brought in the tire with no appointment and they had it fixed no problem and no charge. All they needed was my name.

So where to start went in on Friday for new brakes by the time I got home my brake light was on all weekend went in Monday morning said it needed a adjustment left said it was fixed nope back we go I bought four new tires 2 months ago asked for the alignment be done front and back didn’t get a paper just it’s fine I new it was still off but they said it’s fine month and a half later back tire are balding went back in your alignment is off this place will rip you off every chance they get Jason the owner don’t ask him about what happens in his shop cause he don’t know don’t waste your time or money spend a few extra dollars and go somewhere respectable

Took my sons car out to work today and when getting off the freeway in Nampa I heard a loud ticking. That ticking that comes from a car out of oil. The first parking lot I could pull into was luckily American Tire and Auto. They sent a tech right out to the Jeep and in less than 20 minutes had me ready for the road, full of fluids and no more ticking! Jason and staff are fantastic and very reasonably priced!

I stopped in the other morning as my trailer tire was flat. I asked if they could check it and fix it for me. Well turns out the rim had pin holes in it. I had them mount the good tire on my spare and put that on the trailer. All this took about 10 minutes. So I walked into the office and asked to settle up. The gentlemen at the counter said no charge. I was expecting something for the work they had just done so quickly. Well American Tire and Auto has got my business from now on. Thank you again guys!!

I cant say enough good things about American Tire! I have been having my car wheels and tires serviced there for years. Earlier this week with very short notice, Jason and his staff were able to locate and put on all new wheels for me on my car. I had been hit and the insurance company worked with the auto body shop and American Tire to fix my ride. THANK YOU to the staff at American Tire!!

I always made appointments but they never had me scheduled whenever I brought my car in. With that being said they always made room for me in the schedule though. Also I got quotes from two different auto shops and this one was almost $100 dollars cheaper than the other and they kept to their quote exactly. I will definitely bring my car back here

This place was great, I came in for a flat repair expecting to pay a nominal fee. It was repaired, and the beading on my chrome wheel as well for no cost! Dustin was great and very friendly, will be back.

Slow service and they try to tell you that there is things wrong with your vehicle that is perfectly fine. They thought I was not mechanically trained and told me that I needed to fix this and fix that.... If you are not a mechanic I advise you to get a second opinion because they will bleed you for as much as they can.... This company is garbage and scammers please be AWARE!!!

If I could give a zero I would.Avoid this company as if it would be possible to contract an STD by just thinking of going here.I have taken my cars here a handful of times in the past few years and will NEVER return.Even if it was the last automotive company on earth, I would rather army crawl the rest of my life top less across burning coals; ruining my tatas.The men that work here are condescending. The guy that helped me at the counter asked me if I knew my tire size and license plate number. After telling him what it was he looked at me in disbelief and walked out to check only to confirm what I had already told him.Fellas it is 100% possible for a woman to understand her cars tire size and speed rating. (Its written in modern day English on the inside of the drivers side door.)I can understand there being protocol to look at the car for the facts... than stop wasting everyones time by asking and providing opportunities for haughty expressions.I was also very dissatisfied that they put a very low speed rating tire on my car. When I had brought this up to the owner he informed me it doesnt matter.Sir I work hard for my money and Im looking to pay YOU for the speed rating that is supposed to go on my car.It was also extremely disturbing to me that I had to take my car in 3 flipping times for an alignment!My car had never been in an accident and neither was there anything wrong with the suspension; ergo nothing was wrong with my car to cause it not to become aligned. 1st time I drove away the alignment was worse than when I took it to them. 2nd time after it was pulling in the opposite direction. I called about this they convinced me to come in and they just needed to reset the steering wheel... 3rd time (I know shame on me) there was literally NO change. I took my car to the Honda dealership and paid more money to get the alignment tested... lo and behold they brought a print out to me proving the alignment was still off.I called American *gag* Tire and Auto Service and requested to speak with supervisor... I was connected to the owner (Jason?) and explained that I took it and had a print out that my alignment was still off, he informed me to come in and they would fix it. I told him there was no way in hell his circus was touching my car AGAIN. He offered to give me my money back. I happily went to get my money back to get my car fixed the right way. I will never forget how the owner mentioned he hoped to do business with me in the future... I think I just laughed.I wanted to support a small local business but you guaren-damn-tee I wont do that again for American *gag* Tire and Auto Service.

Amazing!I was referred by a friend and had a 6 lift, tires, wheels, and fender flares put on my company truck. I went in on Monday to pick everything out, Tuesday was 4th of July, and I need everything done by Friday (which I thought was an unreasonable request, BUT Jason and his crew got it done! I spent all day there because I had no ride to get out, and these folks are BUSY in every sense of the word, but they are still able to deliver when they say they can. Megan the counterperson is nice, courteous, and extremely helpful to all. Shes a keeper for sure, and Id hire her in an instant for my business.Overall these guys and girls did a great job, and delivered everything I wanted ON TIME, and for a great price. These guys are honest and wonderful!!! Had a giant nail in my tire, went to les schwab they told me they couldnt patch the hole and I could not buy only one tire even tho my tires are like new..... Went to all american tires and they quoted me 150 for a new matching tire... I agreed I needed it and they went to work to fix it.... After fixing it they let me know their technician was infact able to patch the hole and I was quickly on my way without charge and without having to buy a new tire!!!! Thank you guys so much. Will forever go there!!
