Opened account and realized they had my last name misspelled, got new ATM card and was hacked within 2 weeks, monies recovered. Was told that my credit was good and I qualified for consolidation to lower interest rate and build better credit. Brought in credentials to get started. Loan officer called me twice to leave messages to call back as I did, the person never answered back. Got letter sent about loan application expired. I do not consider that very professional when my calls were not answered timely and forced to submit another application. Closed account and moved to different bank. Otherwise, staff is very friendly

The loan department has been very helpful. Erin has worked very diligently for over a month with me. Due to an insurance company not taking care of their end. I cant tell you enough good about her, she has kept in touch with me almost daily since March one to let me know that the insurance company had not held up their end, it was a big pain for her I know because she does have other customers but I would read her a five-star thank you so much. I love the credit union best financial. Ive never had a problem doing business with them thank you again.

I have never had a situation that wasnt handled appropriately and immediately. On line banking easy and convenient. Staff very friendly and greet you with a smile. If the tellers dont have the answer they will get it for you. There are a few things that would make my out-of-town banking easier but they try very hard to accommodate and you cant please everyone all the time. 5 stars from me and Best Financial has lived up to their name as far as Im concerned.

I have been a customer through 3 name changes and would not bank anywhere else! Are they perfect.......no, but then again who is? The staff are always very helpful and pleasant! Great place to go in my opinion!

I applied to be a member of this credit union after a coworker said that they had good dealing with them. I submitted my application, setup the banks transfers for opening the account and was told that someone would review my application and contact me. After two weeks of not hearing anything. I called down there got transferred to several different people at which time they took down my information, said they would forward it to the person handling my account and I would receive a call back in 30-60 minutes later. Well several weeks later still have not heard back from anywhere so I will take my business else where.Reply to response no email was received from CU, no call was made, and isn’t working in KENT county an eligible criteria as states on your membership website page?

Because their the best place Ive ever banked with and my loyalty stays with them.

Their customer service is simply terrible! The tellers can follow their script and that’s about it. I am a huge advocate for credit unions but not for this one. Their lack of professionalism and competency was enough to make me open and close my account within 90 days.

This CU is so crooked! I decided to read the reviews because I just wanted to know if I the only one screwed over on multiple occasions for everything, and what do you know....this CU screws everyone. I do not trust anyone that works here, I have been lied to on several occasions. They literally lie to get you out of money and tell you everything is worked out everything is fine, but its all lies. Unprofessional, Unethical, Lack of Knowledge, and no Integrity! Very sad, I hope they get their act together one day. Fake and poor service. Policy changes without notification demanding of I estatements or else you have to pay more fees. On top of service charge. The good thing is they do have a computer in the lobby where you may print off your statements if you wish.

Bank tells me that my security questions are always wrong. Doesn’t update info after I call. Bank usually tells me it’s not there problem.Don’t recommend

I love this bank, the staff is friendly and they always solve any issues I have right away. I just wish the online website worked I havent been able to use it in awhile so I cant check my balances or transfer money.

Will cancel your debit card with less than 48 hours notice, make you wait 3 days for a new one, and then a week of useless phone calls and lack of service trying to get the new card activated. But activation wont matter - because now your card doesnt work anywhere and they still cant help you.Forget to sign a check at the ATM? No problem, theyll just freeze your account and let your house payment, your insurance payment, and all your checks bounce until you call to ask why. A simple phone call would have worked, or maybe just mail me the check back - but no, destroy my credit score and laugh at me when I tell you about the $300 in fees their stupid stunt just cost me.They open late, close early, and only have a single ATM (which is offline about 16 hours a week) - so access to your money is sketchy at best. Counter help is somewhere between rude and completely disinterested in their clients.Want a loan? Better expect to be treated like a convicted pedophile asking to babysit - even with an 840 credit score it is nearly impossible to get a loan from here, and the rates are so poor compared to every other credit union in the area.When this was the Community Schools CU the service was top notch, but ever since they became Best its been a rapid decline.

Since the bad bumps in the road when Best Financial took this over from Community Schools, they have stepped up and improved 10 fold. They have a great customer service based group of people. Hats off!

I have had an account here for over 20 years. Cash withdrawals are limited to $2000 in person or $1000 ATM -not helpful when paying for big expenses. Customer service was excellent when my debit card was compromised, and they refunded the money stolen and handled all the fraud issues within 24 hours. I will continue to bank here.

Great staff and have me my first car loan even with no credit

Tried to open a new account online. Transferred the required $50 from my other bank to what I thought was my new account at Worst Financial Credit Union. After the money was taken from me I got an email saying my new account could not be set up without first coming in and setting up a savings then they could open my checking. I told them I did not want a savings and that the website did not ask me to open a savings as a matter of fact the account type I opened didnt even mention savings unless I wanted to open one at a later date at my discretion.I then told them never mind just give me my money back I will stick with my current bank since I could not get a clear answer from these idiots. Who wants to trust $1000s to people that dont even understand their own policies.It took 90 days to get my $50 and countless hours on the phone arguing with the very rude branch managers.Do yourself a favor and switch and if you are looking look again!

Have tried to call the phone number for the CU & can never get anyone to answer the phone!! You are not able to transfer $$$ from an outside account to your account when monies are not available in the CU? 😵 It is very frustrating to deal with this CU when you do not live in Muskegon. 😨 Will be cancelling our 2 accts.
