I thought I lost all of my pictures for good from my SD card from my phone. We even went to Best Buy and they said it would start at $500 to send it off to try to recover the files. We went in to The Computer Guy and he was very helpful and informative. He was able to get back my pictures in about 30 minutes!!! Wonderful job and not pricey at all!! Thank you!!!!

Wow, these repairs are truly incredible and the service was so friendly and kind. I went in a little hopeless. My phone screen was scary broken, with black spots covering over half the phone, but as soon as I showed Anthony the problem he got to work! He said that it could be finished in 30 minutes and when I came back, it was perfect! I truly am incredibly grateful!!

Took in iPhone 5s for new screen and battery that wouldnt hold charge. Screen was great, battery wasnt replaced. We had a miscommunication when I dropped it off. I paid and took the phone hoping maybe the battery issue was related to the screen. It wasnt. I called and The Computer Guy graciously is willing to replace the battery for the 19.99$ charge rather than the $49 it would normally b for a battery replacement. It is so refreshing to find a company nowadays that takes this approach with customers. I will send anyone I know here and I will be back. I have 3 laptops that need work and because of their honesty and integrity I will surely be doing business here in the future. Thank you so much. Very refreshing. Every time I go there they are always very professional and help me. They are always honest with me and tell me what they can and cannot do. They also take the time and explain to me what is wrong and walk me through what they are going to do. Today one of the employees spent three hours helping me with my smashed iphone. They were very patient and saved all of my photos for me.

PSA: I took my phone here to have my iPhone 8 Plus cracked screen replaced. They did a decent job (The screen stuck out too far on one corner and too far in on the other) and it took them an hour to do, which is great. BUT, yesterday, my phone went through some major temperature changes and created some condensation. On a semi-water resistant phone (claimed by Apple), I thought a little condensation wouldnt hurt it. A few moments after the condensation formed, my phone completely shut off and would not turn back on. I immediately put it in rice for about 15 hours, plugged it up, still nothing. Took it to an apple guy and he opened up my phone and said, Theres no trace of any water damage and no standing water, but have you had your screen replaced? I said yes and he continued to tell me that 1)My screen was a knock-off and 2)Was not put in well and thats how the water leaked in and messed up the screen function. I definitely want my money back from that replacement, but I know thats not going to happen. But I wanted to inform people to NOT GO HERE. Especially trusting that the products are authentic. Unless youre okay with that.

Worst experience ever. Took a phone here to be fixed. He said 30 minutes and it took 2 days before it was fixed. Then my home button wouldnt work. He claimed it was due to after market screens dknt work with apple home buttons. But tech knowledge fixes them and it works. The screen then started not working and shut off. Took it back and told then and said I messed it up and would have to buy another one. Anthony vanhourn is horrible and should never be in buisness

The Computer guy is always very helpful and has recommended and installed systems in my business from an alarm system that is fully integrated with mobile access to smoke alarms, automatic locking/unlocking doors, smoke/heat detectors and thermostat control. We even had him install automatic lighting that can also be controlled with our device. Love the products and the services that he provides and would highly recommended him to others!

The prices are much more affordable than other businesses but I have always had issues with my screen not working properly after getting it replaced by them. Luckily they offer a warranty. If they didnt I wouldnt go back.

I absolutely do NOT recommend this business for any computer of phone needs. I brought my Iphone 8 plus in there to get a new battery, when he was done, he told me my phone screen was broke and there was nothing they could do for me. The owner of the store will not talk to me, only text 2 days later. He wants to look at my phone again, but will not guarantee anything. The owner also lied to me about knowing anything about this situation when I heard his employee talking to him about it on the phone. I stress that you DO NOT use this local business. I am extremely dissatisfied. Anthony Vanhorn does NOT know how to run a local business.

I dropped my IPhone 6 getting out of my car and shattered the screen. I called and Tim told me to bring it in and he could fix in 20 minutes. I drove to Murray and the check in was easy and my phone was like brand new in 20 minutes just as promised. He was very nice and I appreciate how quickly he got to my phone. Great service

Spilled some sort of oily substance onto my iPhone 6 plus. It seeped through the phone and caused a shadow on the screen. I took it to The Computer Guy and he immediately discovered I needed a new screen and gave me a very good price quote. Came back after one hour and he had it fixed. He even had to change out another part but charged me very little for this part. He also had to clean the oil out of the phone. VERY professional and did an excellent job!!!! I hope I dont have to but if anything happens to my phone/tablet/computer Im definitely taking it to The Computer Guy.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Tim Hinton has repaired both of my IPhones several times. He’s professional, fair , and knows what he’s doing. Tim also repaired my Moms computer; I recommend The Computer Guy to everyone.

I am VERY unhappy with the computer guy. I went for a screen replacement because my screen was cracked. Nothing else was wrong. Just had a cracked screen. He told me my phone would be done in 15-20 minutes. I came back in 30 minutes and my phone still wasn’t finished. I left and came back an hour later and my phone was finished. My screen was fixed but my home button did not work and my phone was glitching. When I would go to call people it would just hang up or it would call someone else and my phone was working sooo slow. (It worked completely fine when I brought it in). So he makes me pay full price for the screen fix even though he messed up my home button. I went to another phone fixing place to see what’s the deal and they tell me that apparently he “dug too deep” when he attempted to take my home button off so I could never have my home button fixed because he completely messed it up. I then go back to the computer guy to get a refund. He tells me I cannot get a refund unless he takes his new screen off my phone and puts my old screen back on. I was very upset because he messed up my home button so If anything he should have just let me have the screen fix for free or a discount at least. I payed for just a screen fix not for a screen fix and a broken home button... anyways, I let him put my old screen back on so I could get my refund and apparently when he put the old screen back on he just threw it on there because now there is black spots in my screen and I cannot use the phone at all. I can’t even see anything on my screen. I asked him what did he do to my phone and he acted completely oblivious to what was wrong with my phone as if he didn’t just do it. He then gets rude with me because I was asking questions so I asked him to give me the managers phone number and when I called the manager he declined my calls multiple times. I would NEVER recommend anyone to this place. Save your money! If you are in Murray i would recommend you go to techknowledge. At least when they make mistakes they own up to them and fix their mistake..

The store in Murray, Ky are crooks. Ruined iPhone as Verizon later verifies. Did nothing to compensate and I mean nothing! Owner was a coward and would not even return calls! Spread the word, if you want something down right stay away from the “Computer Con!”

I had no problems with my phone other than a cracked screen. I never had a problem with the battery even with a cracked screen. I take my phone to the computer guy and get it back an hour later with a new screen and the phone wont stay charged for more than 10 minutes. Its impossible to get the battery to charge and if Im lucky enough to get 50% it will be dead within 10 minutes. The phone reeked of something that smelled like super glue, and conveniently the guy says hope to see to you back soon as Im leaving the store. Will never take anything to this store again. Very high probability they damage other parts of the device on purpose to get more business.

I took two iPhones in last week to have the screens fixed. First I was quoted a different price over the phone than when I went in. They were about $30-$45 more than the other two places I called but had good reviews so decided to leave them there anyway. Was told 30 minutes to 1 hour. After 2-3 hours neither phone was fixed. Took one phone home and left other phone there over night. 11:30-Noon the next day go in to pick up phone and was told 15 more minutes. Waited in parking lot for 30 minutes and then was told there was an issue with the screens and they would need another hour. Finally was able to pick up the one phone. I had left a protective cover and asked if they were able to put it on since they deal with phones and I was afraid to mess it up and was told yes. It was not on straight and was hanging over the button. It was a $55 screen protector that now after 4 days is peeling off because it wasnt put on straight. I called and left a message for the manager to call me back and now days later still havent heard anything. They still have my glass cover for the second phone but I highly doubt I will ever let them touch another phone of mine. 😕***UPDATE - Spoke to the owner and he was extremely friendly and more than happy to do whatever he need to in order to fix the problem. I greatly appreciate that and am defiantly able to now give them 5 stars and continued business. Thank you!

Took my phone in to get screen replaced. Paid $180 for a 15min replacement. Took them a week to finally get it done. When I got it back the screen can be pushed in on some spots. NEVER USE THIS STORE!!!After I posted this they sent me a reply trying to justify their services with excuses.1 I was not happy when I left that store2 I can understand waiting two days for the part to come in but I waited for another 5 days for it to finally get it done3 They attacked my professionalism4 You dont always see mistakes until after you leave.Like I said before NEVER USE THIS STORE!!!

My laptop cooling fan failed. The Computer Guy fixed that, reformatted my hard-drive,saved all of my files and completely restored my computer to like new condition and all it cost me was a few dollars for the new cooling fan. All labor and service was free as part of my service/virus protection plan the Computer Guy offers his customer. A low monthly fee keeps my computer protected and most issues he can resolve on-line w/o me having to take my computer to him. When a hardware failure happens like it did in my case this time. All I paid was for the part! I recommend the Computer Guy and their service plan to everyone!

After they have finished repairing my screen they told my that my home button will never work again!, And they took 100$ dollars for it.After that i went to another computer shop and they fixed everything for me. Unlike The Computer Guy he told me that it’s unfixable, and that’s not true

Took my samsung galaxy s8+ phone to have screen replaced and the visit turned into having to replace battery and USB port. The phone would power on but showed an error. Luckily, days later it spontaneously powered up and I am able to use it again but the back glass is broke from them putting phone back together and the camera doesnt work. Im supposed to return to get back glass replaced but scared my phone will not work again. Good thing about experience, Im only out of pocket for the front replacement screen and labor.

The third time I bought a battery and a protective case; the price was reasonable. I trust this guy--he says he can fix anything that goes wrong with an iphone and I believe him.

Wont buy an iPhone SE 64 GB. Its a $400 dollar phone. How can you not be interested? But anyways thats not the issue. People want to talk to the owner when they call. Not someone else that they have to go through to get their questions answered. The Secretary doesnt know the answers and had to ask the owner. How is that any different than the customer talking directly to the person running the store?

Good prices. BUT when I dropped off my phone on a tuesday, was told part would be in next day and fixed. Called Thursday and was told the owner was the only one who could fix it and he was out til the following monday. The following tuesday, 1 week since drop off, I called and was told the owner is the only employee who can fix it and there is no estimate when he can fix it. Mind I paid for parts and service UPFRONT.

Im worse off than when I brought my laptop in. Said I had a bad ram chip---wrong. Then had to drive an hour to Paducah to buy a new one, because he removed the supposedly bad 4 GB chip and threw it away. Then the Paducah chip didnt work, so I had to drive BACK to Paducah to return it. He said he was going to install a second 8GB chip to replace my 4GB chip that he threw away. He installed 2GB. This laptop is useless now.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! I dropped my I pad pro off 3 weeks ago. The gentleman said he could fix my I pad screen that was broke and the home button. He charged my credit card for the part and said the I pad would be ready the following week. I called last week to see if it was ready and they said no but would be ready today. 3 weeks later. When I called today the guy said Im sorry to tell you that I found out yesterday that we dont work on I pad pros. He also said that I would have to come pick up my I pad and part that I paid for and take it somewhere else. I told him there is no way someone else would work on my I pad with someone elses part and that I shouldnt be charged for the part he ordered. He said he could do nothing about it. Sad to say the police department will be going with me to pick up the iPad and possibly file a complaint. We also have called the credit card company to dispute the charges. Let me remind you he never called me. The owner was very negligent in how he handled this whole situation and only refunded my credit card after he knew I called Murray police and credit card fraud dept. Again, DO NOT USE THE COMPUTER GUY!

Awful. Broke every phone I took to him. Told me 3 or 4 different expected pick up times, full of excuses but short on results. Or positive results I should say. He turned multiple routine screen changes into totaled phones that no longer work. Inconsiderate and obviously incompetent

They screwed up my phone multuple times and never fixed it. Spoke to an expert that said they have no idea how they screwed up my phone so much. Dont evrn bother going there

I had my iPad mini screen replaced here in March and I was satisfied with the way I was treated and how quickly it was serviced. However, the screen quit responding to touch about a month later. I took the iPad back to have it fixed under warranty and I waited 3 weeks to get it fixed. They are a small business with only a few employees and they may have had to prioritizec their jobs, but that still really inconvenienced me because I use my iPad for work and I am always on the go. In addition to all that, the newly replaced screen now acts like it is possessed by a demonic spirit, like someone is randomly tapping the keyboard and swiping my screen up and down or back and forth. Needless to say, I am not happy with my iPad right now, and even if I still was assigned in Murray, KY, I wouldnt go back to The Computer Guy to have it fixed again. My experience seems to be the exception to the usually good work they do. This review is for the benefit of those who work at this business.

My iPhone screen was not responding, and he replaced it with a new one but the issue came back after a couple hours. When I took it back to him to see if he could do anything about it, he was very terse and said it was a software problem (not true) and to contact apple. Apple tells me it is touch disease which is common on the iPhone 6. I kind of felt like I was taken for a ride....Follow up, on 7/25, the owner did reach out to me and said he would refund my money, but that has not happened.
