I have rented from this location for years and I have never had an issue until now. I was charged two months later for a rental and the amount charged was over 600 more than the actual rental amount . Contacted the office (8/30) and was told by Alex that she would contact Corporate and I should see a refund in 1-2 weeks . Called back on 9/20 to inquire about my refund as I have not seen it and spoke with Alex and was advised that she does not recall our previous conversation and did not reach out to corporate as they only have limited access and only the billing department can assist. This is extremely unprofessional as I am waiting on a refund that was not processed as no one was contacted. Very unprofessional.

I wanted to thank everyone that made this experience. I had some last minute changes and it was a sunday but that didnt matter. I was surprised over and over. The type of vehicle(more than enough), the price(lower than others with theirdiscount included), the people, even when returning vehicle it was fast and easy. no hidden cost just a very good experience.

Dirty vehicle. Found used napkins in door and old coke bottles under the seat. Told the man outside (not in front of other customers) about the trash. No sorry. No anything other then charging me for gas when I had already filled up the tank. Called corporate to complain. And they are refunding the gas charge. Won’t go back.

I had reserved a vehicle with them 1mo prior, only to be called at 7pm the night before I was to pick up my rental, that they did not have the car available. And that they could not help me with any other vehicle. Safe to say, I will never try to use them again!!

I applaud this location on their COVID-19 safety measures. Rental car places are a Petri dish for this highly infectious disease, but not on this location’s watch! My vehicle was sanitized on the inside and already pre-inspected, which I greatly appreciated.It’s disheartening that a lot of people in the Mid Tenn area don’t seem to be taking the mask mandate seriously. If more businesses conducted themselves like Avis (at least this specific branch), the spread of Covid would be way more under control. I personally think the company should look at the way this branch is handling the pandemic and make other locations follow suit.In addition to putting my mind at ease, I loved my car! It was very new and changed my previously negative opinion about Kia.

Working in the customer service field. I believe in treating the customer right and with respect.When we went to pick up the car, we were not treated with respect and kindness. Your employees were telling us constantly not to park anywhere and giving dirty looks. When I parked in the back where I thought I was out of the way. I was told most people park at Kroger and walk across. This is unacceptable. I will not put my wife and I in danger crossing one of the busiest roads in Murfreesboro. If you cant provide an adequate safe place to park while doing business, you probably shouldnt be in business. Furthermore, If you have a sign that says No parking, Additional parking in rear. You should allow it. I hope that you as a company improve because there are other companies that will take your business.

As we all know renting a car can not only be time consuming but a hassle. They are not only fast but carefree as well. I love working with them. The best customer service and even better pricing. My car was wrecked insurance set me up with hertz worst experience ever went right across the street and avis got me in a rental at a great price and sent me on my way someone even called me to make sure I was alright with the car and service great place only one I will use from now on. This company is garbage.we rented an SUV a month in advance. We get there this morning because we head out at midnight tonight and they have no car for us.all of our money we paid for this trip just down the drain because we dont have a car to get there and cant be refunded for 3-5 days. Our 1st family vacation ruined because of this company!!! I hope no one rents from them again!!!!

Car was filthy! Steering wheel was sticky, car smelled as if someone smoked in it, wipers were horrible and wiper fluid didn’t work! Had to clean the windows inside and out before leaving for my trip! Also had to stop on the highway to clean the windshield multiple times ! Upon returning the vehicle, the Avis associates could care less about the issues I had. Don’t rent from there! You’ll be sorry!

I wish I could give 0 stars!I prepaid a month in advance for my sons birthday vacation to Florida only to be advised when I get there that they have NO suv vehicles i prepaid and reserved in advance. No text,no courtesy message or email,No calls! Completely devastated as there is nowhere else open because its Saturday.in absolute shock,because of avis/budget our vacation is ruined.not to mention the thousands of dollars im out that cannot be refunded for our trip.this is by far the worst customer service,as well as business Ive ever experienced,excuse me while I go throw up

Never again. Do NOT waste your time or your money at this location! Within 10 minutes of leaving with my rental car, the emergency tire pressure warning started going off. I immediately called the Murfreesboro location back and was told, just put air in it, we do not have another vehicle for you, or you can call customer service. Do not expect this location to stand behind their vehicles or provide you with any help when their vehicle has an issue. Im really not sure how they stay in business with this kind of customer service.After then spending an hour on the phone with both customer service and their roadside assistance, I was told my options were a) take the car to a body shop and PAY to have the tire changed and Avis would reimburse me or b) drive 45 minutes to Nashville to exchange the car. I obviously, chose option B.

Very rude woman. Eye rolling as if my husband was bothering her and this was high school. Car was nasty, smell of cigars, windows inside an out were dirty, and I had to keep putting air in the back tire. Car was never sanitized. Had to disinfect the whole car. Will never rent from them again.

I never feel like a bother and they all always have a smile on their faces, even if theyre busy. I try to make all of my reservations with Durb when I can because he is always nice, sincere, and very helpful!! This Avis location is the very BEST I have ever had the pleasure to use. They treat you kindly and most professionally and not like an imposition or just another number. I appreciated this treatment because I was worried about getting the right car for a trip that came up suddenly. I had no problems and Durbin Davis hooked me right up with everything I needed to make my trip easy and care free. I am glad to know I have a car rental agency I can trust and believe me I will always use this location.

Location was closed when 800# and Avis vehicle assistance showed it as open. Local numbers shown on the location door went unanswered. Based on signage it appears to be a franchise location that also sold cars and did repairs. Avis needs to explore other options for their Murfreesboro location.

Get your rental somewhere else. Almost 6 months ago now I rented a car through Avis which was covered through my warranty. At the time my boyfriend was asked if he wanted to pay 30 extra dollars for insurance which he did in full that day. 6 months later and three days before Christmas I am contacted and told that unless I had a different card they were going to charge me For 60 dollars that very day, that I never agreed to pay. I proceeded to give them a different card after coming to the realization that the Avis team doesn’t care at all about my situation and was going to get the money anyway. After waiting for a week for the money to be pulled out and the ordeal to be over, the money is still sitting in my account. So I went down there to pay in cash, but guess what?!? They don’t accept cash. But they do accept checks(seems a little weird to me) So now I am waiting once again for the money to be drawn out. Supposedly tomorrow. My advice, go somewhere else, where they care about you as a customer. Avis doesn’t and they will get you wherever they can.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This company has used bully tactics to get more money out of people for their rentals . My mother n law just drove 10 hours with a reservation and set price only to find out she can’t leave the premises without purchasing their insurance !! I have complained with customer service and we’ll see where it goes from there . I recommend anyone just go to uhaul !! Insurance is cheaper also the truck is as well besides mileage . These guys are charging 150.00 insurance and that’s more than what I pay every month for my vehicle insurance ! It’s not right for my mother in law to have drove 10 hours to be bullied out of more money than what was agreed on the reservation!!! I will update after customer service tells me what they will do !!

The people were very friendly and great to work with. Other than that I would not prepay on Avis.com. If you return the vehicle early you do not get any money back. I will no longer use Avis or Budget for my rental vehicles in the future.

Rented a car from Avis for the first time ever for 4 days and was given a vehicle with unlimited mileage. After finding out the location was open on Sundays I told the agent that I would return the car on Sunday. After returning the car I was overcharged by $275 and the only additional equipment I added costed $47.99. After calling them on several occasion and getting the run around, I decided to call customer service. After speaking with a customer service rep I was told I was charged for mileage on a unlimited rental. I was also told because I brought the car back a day early I was charged at a higher rate which was never explained when I told the agent I was bringing the car back a day early. I will never use this location again. If it was their money I’m pretty sure they would have jumped through hoops to correct the error. The gentleman from the call center squared me away and credited me the difference of the overage which is the only good thing to happen in this entire situation. I have rented vehicles for over 20 plus years and I have never been overcharged not once.

First time renting though Avis and last time renting through Avis. I reserved a standard size vehicle (Jetta or similar). When I picked my car up all they had was a fiesta!!! I was driving out of state for work so I wanted a bigger car. But I decided the fiesta would be ok and I’d save a little money. Well this car’s seat belts in the back seat had been chewed up terribly. The drivers seat had what I can only assume are bodily fluids in it and the maintenance light came on half way through my trip. So I called and they agreed to trade me in Atlanta. Still not to a standard size car though. But it was still an upgrade. Well a found out I had to extend my rental through for work and asked if I could use a gift card I could get through my credit card company. Absolutely they said on the phone so I exchanged air miles to gift cards and guess what? They didn’t take them when I returned the car. So now I have two $100 worthless pieces of paper and out $200 because I’ll never rent from here again and neither will anyone I work with, family, or friends that I can tell to prevent anyone else from enduring the stress of such a terrible business practice.

So far one star. Well see how tomorrow goes and that well determine what the rating will be. Dec 28th I rented a car for a complete week ending on Jan 4th. Today I called at 12:23pm needing to extend the rental. I asked for the price for an additional week. They gave me the price, I told them I would call back before closing(they close at one) and would need to transfer funds and to also see if I can shorten the additional time I would need the vehicle as my own vehicle is being worked on. I called back at 12:36pm. The woman asked to place me on hold, I said sure. I was on hold for 11 minutes. I hung up called back at 12:47pm. A guy answered and asked to place me on hold. I said sure. I hung up at 12:53pm. Called again at 12:53pm and was instantly rerouted to the automated voice. There was an option to extend your rental, I chose that one, the automated voice started that I couldnt extend. It then rerouted me to a live person. Assuming a call center. The person then put my information in the system and found me. He was trying to extend it until Monday for me when a message popped up saying that I have to extend it only at the location that I got the car from. I asked him why and he said that because thats what the boe said. Long story short. I dont like being played, scammed, or anything like that of the sorts. I am concerned that they are going to try and tackle on a fee for not returning the car in before 1pm, even though I was extending and they were okay with that. I am just at a shock honestly and am hoping they do the right thing.Update Jan 16 2020They ended up doing the right thing but did not apologize for the craziness. I will bump them up to 3 stars. I just believe in professionalism. I am thankful to have been able to get back and forth to work while my car was being worked on.

Very inept! First time using AVIS in Murfreesboro, TN. I was told to bring the rental car back to their office and I would get a ride to the shop where my car was being repaired. Instead, I get there and was told the driver had left and would be gone at least an hour. I couldnt lose another hours pay so I took the rental to the repair shop and informed Avis they would have to pick it up. What a way to cost me time and money due to their lack of communication!

I love this place in Murfreesboro. We have rented here several times. Out of the 10 times we have rented we only had one issue. When we told them about the lady rectified it and we were happy. The only reason its not 5 Stars is because the later you set your pickup the car pickings get much smaller. I wish there was a way to hold my car and no walk in can get it.

As far as car rental places go, I like this one. The majority of the staff has been there for years. So when I go, I almost always see a familiar face. I wish there was a way to reserve a specific car, but that isnt possible. Their lot is small and easy to miss, but the staff is friendly. I continue to come year after year for my car rental needs. Why a 4 star instead of a 5? Well that is because I am still cranky about not being able to reserve a specific car. Most likely will revise it to 5 after the sting has worn off.

We rented a car from Avis at this Northwest Austin location. It is really convenient for us as we didnt have to drive all the way to the airport and deal with airport traffic and parking. Its located in a Walmart store so its a really great starting place for any road trip. Customer service was fast and friendly, both at pickup and drop-off. We usually get our car rentals at Enterprise but this Avis location might be my first choice from now on.

Horrible place to do business. It was close to closing time when they ignored phone calls.I forgot something very important in the vehicle and remembered 5 minutes up the street started calling 7 minutes before there closing time to inform them I was turning around to pick up the item. When I made it back to the office both agents where inside still sitting at the counter and they watched me knock on the door for 5 minutes. Finally the male agent asked me what I needed and then he went to the car to get my item from the car. I understand being ready to go home but that took him all of 1 minute. How can people be so roofless. I had my rental for over a week so for you all to act that way is unbelievable. I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS AVIS/BUDGET NOR WILL I USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!!!!

This particular location is operated by a couple...this last time, they made sure I wasnt over-paying for my rental due to my pickup/dropoff times. Then, they offered me an upgrade to boot!! HORRIBLE COMPANY AND HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The employees at this location are rude and very unprofessional! As I was standing there trying to get my questions answered she constantly answered other phone calls rolled her eyes to people she was speaking with, and played on her cell phone. I was told one thing by the employee and then spoke with the owner and was told something completely different.(he would not honor what his employees were telling people) so I was over charged and the owner would not help me at all even though his employees told me something completely different. Always busy, always a line. Plan to wait 20 minutes or more to talk to someone. The vehicle we got started showing the low tire pressure warning light, as soon as we left the lot. I returned and when they brought the vehicle back out, said pressure was 1LB low in one tire, and 1LB high in another. The light was out, so I left. It came back on, before leaving for our trip to FLorida, and has never gone out. I took it back to Avis, who told me they would have to return it to the dealer for repair, but that it was not a problem with pressure a little low. I left and the light is still on two weeks later. Driving locally (Ford is paying for it while we await an airbag replacement) and keeping an eye on the tires.

My sisters fiance rented her a car thru priceline from Avis in Michigan everything in her name she was listed as the driver and everything she went to pay the security deposit and pick up the car. They wouldnt let her pick it up because she didnt have a credit card but he did everything on his! Then they keep the $100 deposit. Good job at ripping off your customers Avis in Michigan.

My experience was ok at this location but the down side was that I called in to see if someone could pick up the rental car from the dealership I was getting my new car from since I had no one to take me to the dealership. The lady I spoke to seemed uninterested in my request and simply explained to me that no it can be done and (Can you just bring it back?)...not satisfied with the answer I just thanked her and hung up.I then went to return the rental and explained to the manager (If he is not the manager he is the one with the long beard Lol!!!) my inquiry and how dissatisfied I was with this and he explained to me that they do in fact pick up rentals and then explained the policy.....it would have been nice that the young lady I spoke with knew the policy and was nice about telling me that info as well. Her not knowing this info caused a major inconvenience on my end.The manager did take a day off of the rental and was very nice when talking with me but I hope this is good training opportunity for the reps there. Be careful renting from avis, they stole my money without even making a reservation, then created a reservation without me wanting one, then tried to charge me a cancellation fee. I literally had to talk to 12 different people before i could get the problem resolved and the person who resolved it barely wanted to help.

Avis Preferred does not exist at this location. Yes, its supposed to but does not. I always have to wait at least 15+ mins and they make me check-in again. With the latest rental they charged me for satellite but never activated the signal. I will not be returning to this location anymore.

I was so weary coming into this place after reading all the horrible reviews on Yelp but Im the type of person that gives the place a chance before I judge it. So here it is maybe I got lucky or it could be this little place is turning around. The guy who attended me who sadly I cant remember his name was very nice and efficient. I was there for no more than maybe 10 minutes and most of it was just waiting for the printer to finish printing and signing out the car. I was upgraded because the lot ran out of compacts for free! I was like woohoo! He made sure to mark every scratch on it and I pointed out some he missed so he marked those too. All in all this is was a very pleasant experience and I cant complain.

Rented from them several times using a debit card. Now, they are telling me that I cant use my debit card anymore even though none of the policies have changed. The manager is a complete idiot. I suggest dealing only with the owners.
