My wife and I have been with Farmers since at least 2002 (and probably longer). They have been a great insurance company. Even when I was found at fault in a traffic accident, they worked pretty hard for me and my rates didnt go up that much.Timothy Kott is probably the hardest working insurance agent I have ever dealt with. This man drove hours through horrible traffic (the Cardinals were playing and there was some other event going on that night) to meet with my wife and I after hours just to answer some questions. He is very personable, very down to earth and neither of us would hesitate to recommend him.

Ive been happily doing business with Farmers since my agent, Tim Kotts kids were in elementary school. Now his older child is in graduate school and his younger one is looking at colleges. Id say that my agent Tim and I have a good working relationship, wouldnt you?

I have had Farmers for 3 years through Tim. Right from the beginning, I had a gut feeling there were going to be issues with this agent since he was horrible at communicating and returning phone calls or emails. He also never changed my billing address which I asked him many times to do and for some reason, my online account wouldnt allow me to change. Farmers have been raising my premiums on my autos every 6 months for the last few years so I figured it was time to shop around since Tim couldnt compete with other companies rates. When I sent him an email on May 5th stating the reason I was going to cancel effective May 15th, I never got a reply (typical Tim). So when a $99 charge from Farmers showed in my bank account I emailed Tim on May 19th. To my surprise, he actually responded and said: if there are any monies owed you will be refunded. Then I received an email on the 19th from Farmers stating my policies were canceled effective the 19th (same day I emailed him..coincidence I think not). I ended up calling him the 22nd and said my polices were to be canceled the 15th like I had asked weeks previous not the 19th. Also on the cancellation email, he STILL had the wrong address listed so if a refund check is going to be sent it would go to the wrong address (I dont know how many times I told him the billing address is the same address that YOUR homeowners insurance is covering...not an address that I sold and havent lived at in over 3yr). he said he couldnt cancel my policy for the 15th (even though he already did on the 19th) unless I sent him it in writing (thats what an email is) and he wanted copies of my new insurance (probably to see the better rates and $700 annual savings I was now getting). Needless to say, he got very defensive and belligerent with me on the phone when I called him out on his forgetfulness, lack of replying to emails and lying. He even threatened to hold my refund check. Tim finally admitted he got the email but had better or real customers to deal with. I dont know how Farmers allows this guy to be an agent or even how he has customers, hes lazy, deceitful and lacks total professionalism. I ended up calling Farmers and got everything squared away no thanks to Timmy and also talked to the district manager about him. Be cautious of the fake reviews on his Farmers sight because he screens them and you can not add a review. Also, there are reviews from his own family members so of course, they are going to give a 5-star review. In closing Timothy Kott is the worst insurance agent I have ever dealt with!

Tim Kott and Farmers Insurance was recommended to us 10 years ago when we moved to Arizona and we have never been happier with this. The premiums are competitive and Tim is always helpful if I have a question or claim. Very personable and fair.

Sneaky, unethical and not truthful. I have had my personal residence insurance with Tim Kott of Farmers Insurance for a decade. I have also had 10+ other policies including flip homes, vacation rentals, etc. and currently have 4 home owner policies with him.UPDATE: After I reached out to the District Manager overseeing Tim Kott of Farmers Insurance - I received an email from Tim Kott saying he no longer can write my flip house policies for me because they arent worth his time and he doesnt make enough money off of me........are you kidding me? Not only sneaky but spiteful and vengeful. Who says I even want to do any future business with him? I am in the market for a reliable and honest insurance agent and company. PS I havent heard back from District Manager in 4 days to promised to follow up - maybe its Farmers...I have never filed a claim in over 17 years in AZ. I moved into my new house and on the third night it flooded. My insurance premium of $3400 was paid out of escrow and I was never given any paperwork to sign showing me the coverages etc. Apparently, he wrote it with a $10,000 deductible.....all of my other properties are $2500 deductible including my primary residence I have lived in for 17 years. My rentals $2500, one of my flips $5000 deductible.Farmers Insurance Corporate called and said they would be happy to adjust it to the levels of the deductibles showing on all my other properties and in my 17 years but then Tim Kott told them not to. He is unwilling to admit his mistake. Now he is sending me a Subscription Agreement to sign saying I accept the $10,000 deductible or my insurance will be cancelled. I have to sign UNDER DURESS. Very unethical and poor business practices.Then today I come to work and receive a cancellation notice on a home I sold 3 months ago. I requested 3 months ago to cancel and he just did it this week. SOOOOO slippery, sketchy and only out for himself.There are so many choices in insurance stay away from this one at all costs!

Do not use this agent! He is terrible at communicating with you! I have had nothing but problems with this agent and after 6 months of my bill consistently changing ( going up ) and no communication or acknowledge of this till after I would be billed, I decided to cancel. He constantly told me the bill would be X dollars and when I would get charged it would always be more by a lot! I then called and cancelled and even received email from him saying my coverage was cancelled. About 4 months later I find out he never cancelled my coverage and the company was trying to send me to collections! No phone calls, emails, mailed in letters! UNBELIEVABLY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
