But we regret the time when we switched to AlticeOne..totally totally frustrating and poor customer service. They just want to charge for almost anything..even yesterday trying to deal with this whole connection situation was a wasted consuming time. The operator just hang up the call and never returned my call and when I was explicitly complaining about my experience and didnt feel validated. This companies are just monstrous monopoly that definitely must be corrected with more more more options.

This is the year 2020 and the fact that you have to stand in a third world type of line is unacceptable for a media/cable company that takes hundred of millions from consumers. This office is way too small to service a large area of Westchester. Cablevision/Optimum must do better and spend less on TV commercials. This company is obviously mid managed. Stay home or go to Verizon. No one should have to stand outside in the heat or cold for any reason and when there are choices for TV/Internet/Phone.

I just moved to New York and rely on internet for my job. I made an appointment at the earliest convenience which was about a 3 day wait. After so many phone calls trying to get in touch with someone to go over the details on installation I had almost given up but I thought I would give it another chance. I received a call from a tech on Saturday saying he was in the area and he could do the work at that time. I explained to him I was at work and he said that he could come at 7pm when I was out. So I said sure that’s great thank you. I drove an hour and half in traffic and had to leave work 2 hours early to get home to meet him. After numerous phone calls the tech answered the phone and said that the job was transferred to some one else and was no longer in his control.I have to be working from home but without internet I have to drive an hour and a half to get to the office. They offered to reschedule 4 days later.This company is unbelievably unorganized and incompetent. Highly unprofessional and an embarrassment. I will never recommend optimum to anyone. Your techs are insanely unprofessional as well.

It was a little hard for me to find, but got there. Theres a small parking lot. Customers had to wait outside on the sidewalk, only allowed one person in to each staff rep., there were two working when I was there. The girl that helped me was pleasant and fast.

Not this location, but optimum as a whole. I recently switched from the 300 mbps to the gigspeed and the con artist on the phone told me it was going to be 30 dollars more a month. Then I got my bill and the crooks at optimum charged me more than double what I was already paying for service. Having been a loyal customer for many years now the charletons over at optimum couldnt offer me a deal, but theyll give away service to people just getting their services now for next to nothing. I am not even getting close to what Im paying for speedwise and the amount of money they are charging me you would think they sent me a gold plated gateway. Good job optimum you have lost a customer. I will be going to a different service provider thanks to their shenanigans.

Absolutely the worst company! Zero respect for their customers. I moved into a new apartment a month ago and they have NOT been able to do my installation. I’ve had 6 scheduled installations - 4 they came and said they could not install and that they would contact me to fix the issue, and 2 they left me hanging without showing up. I’ve missed multiple days of work to be there for the installation and they do not show any respect to fix the issue. This is absolutely terrible costumer service. I’ve called multiple times requesting to speak to a supervisor, and I get the β€œthey’ve escalated the situation” talk and that a supervisor will contact me. Something that has NOT happened. Absolutely the worst!!!

In my condo complex, we have had Optimum for a few months and I am very pleased with the service. The few times we did have problems, Shem made sure to take care of our issues and things were resolved in due time. While technical support takes time and is not as quick as other providers, I cannot imagine switching to any other provider. I highly recommend Optimum.

2 people were ahead of me and 3 were speaking to customer service when I arrived, I stood on line for less than 10 minutes before it was my turn, the customer service representative I got was pleasant and I was able to help me with my problem. While I was there an elderly lady came in to try and get the Altice $20 Cell Phone deal and the representative who help her was curt, abrupt and did not offer any help, all he kept repeating was your phone is not compatible and cannot be used he never tried to explain to the lady what phone was compatible with the Altice phone deal.

In December 2018, I was without service, so i called tech support and told them and they said a tech could not come until after the holidays which would have been 2019, so i called VERIZON and they said they will install next day. As of today, i have not received my credit back for two months. I went to location and they said there is nothing they can do. Horrible service. Set up a service appointment for between 11am -2pm. Called in to check after 2pm and was told technitan would be there between 430-530pm. I only found out because I called in. No consideration for making me wait around in an empty house for over 3 hours. They expect you to be there, but dont bother to tell you theyre running late. And of course they cant waive the installation fee even though they dont show up within the appointment time. Worst customer service ever.

I made the switch from Comcast to Optimum after I moved into a new place and have loved the experience so far. Optimum is simple, fast and easy to set up. My technician, Victor Tam, got to my place 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment and was very nice about waiting for me to get there. The set up was super easy--no modem required--and Victor set up my wireless router as well. I had a great experience, especially from being a Comcast customer for years.

This company is the PG&E of internet and cable. Theyre THAT nefarious. The merger with Altice only made them more impotent and the only thing these shistas can get up is a bill with surcharges for their outsourcing. The WiFi rarely works, they cant find the house, they charge over $200 a month for services they dont provide. If you use internet for work, school, teleconferencing, emergency alerts, this racket will take your money then breach contracts and get away with it because theyre a monopoly. They will not issue credits, not follow through on contracts or fiduciary policy, and the only good theyve done is bring people to Starbucks and libraries for free WiFi. For what they charge, I question what theyre actually trafficking over the internet. Im cancelling. Everyone else gets 4 and 5 star reviews. Theyre actually late because the WiFi in their truck went out and they cant GPS a house theyve done business with for over decade when they were Cablevision. I guess they havent discovered Google Maps, Waze or data plans yet. If youre a lawyer, please go in like a vicious, bloodthirsty shark and take these mopes to the chopping block behind the woodshed and go to town. Ill help in any way I can.

Worst experience with a cable company i have ever had. I tried them out twice, the first time i lasted 2 weeks. A few years later i gave them another shot and lasted less then 24 hours. Nothing worked, they puled the old bait and switch and i spent more time on the phone with customer service then i was able to use the product (which didnt work in the first place). Victor Tam came by to install Optimum internet access. He came by half an hour early, and quickly enabled it. He answered all of my questions and was very helpful in general. At the end of the setup process, he even did a quick speed-test to show me what the speed would be. Wish I had this kind of transparency with other ISPs. This is more about optimum in general than about this branch in particular. We have been loyal customers for years. When Altice announced the $20 a month for life phone bill, i decided to look into it. Went online, chatted with a customer rep who assured me my phone would qualify. (As an aside, the rep had a problem finding the nearest optimum office near me, gave me one like 38 miles away. The website has no locator app, just a bunch of addresses in a pdf). Anyway, i got into the car on a rainy day, drove 30 minutes to their office, only to be told that 1) the new mobile service would only work with samsung S9 and above. the online rep never mentioned any restrictions 2) even if i got an S9, i couldnt use the service unless my spouse was around to do it. because even though we are both on the account now, he got it alone first. so the line would have to be registered in his name. How progressive of you, Altice. ps: said they also require a credit card for automatic billing - which they dont even require for cable. Like seriously, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Looking forward to switching to Verizon soon, where hopefully i will be an equal account holder.

The twice Ive had to go there, there was always someone on line ahead of me grousing about some problem with Cablevisions service so I know its not me.Just the most aggravating, unprofessional company to deal with. My cousin had a tech come over to install her cable TV a few years ago and the guy actually managed to burn something in the wall! Sparks and all. On top of that Optimum / Cablevision then refused to pay for the damage. Eventually they capitulated (my cousin took photos of her burnt wall outlet) by you have to drag them kicking and screaming before theyll ever admit they did something wrong.Theyll always tell you theyre sorry and blah blah blah, but youve gotta really luck out in terms of getting someone, whether its a Tech or Office person who actually knows what theyre talking about.The company was the subject of numerous complaints when they first came into Westchester as strictly a TV cable company (Cablevision) in the early 1980s . I recall all the the articles & editorial complaints in the Journal News, when they were a monopoly back then.Now theres Verizon and other companies and perhaps theyve been forced to improve their service a tiny bit, but Id still give them a D at best. The entire business is like dealing with a used car dealership. You hope for the best going in, but then you find out theres a reason why everyone has such a low opinion of them.I finally dropped my TV service completely, even though it wouldve cost me only a few dollars more, simply because I hated dealing with horrible people who seem to generally hate what theyre doing and it comes across in their robotic voices over the phone. A month of horrible internet service and I made the switch to Verizon Fios. Several service tech appointments and the problem was not fixed. Due to a high bit rate error at optimum’s tap in an underground box my tv was constantly pixelated and the internet was always going out. Optimum always would try to scare me into purchasing their β€œservice protection plan” at 7 bucks a month to avoid a $80 fee if the service tech found a problem that wasn’t related to optimum’s equipment. Imagine if your electric was out and Con Ed charged you $80 to send a trouble shooter to your house!! Made the switch to Fios and couldn’t be happier. Plus, Fios internet is much faster!

The disaster doesnt get any worse! They now charge you an extra $10 when your bill gets to them late, when in fact the mail delivery service from them doesnt get it to you on time. I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years and this is how Im treated. The turn around time when you write out a check and put it in the mail is just impossible and they zap you with a fee. I use this facility for me than the one in Yonkers off Executive Boulevard for my mother. You get decent customer service here. More importantly though Optimum is losing its popularity with customers. The service over the phone is horrible. The company takes away channels and charges you more. TV and Internet frequently go out. All of television has become a joke and an outrage and quite frankly a rip off. The government should go in and set controls because the elderly people are getting ripped off. The extra fees for service charges just in case its your fault is absurd, $85. This company was once well priced and delivered great service and since the buy out by this foreign billionnaire, it has gone progressively downhill. Many customers are changing to Verizon but thats seems to be just as bad. What is our country coming to, especially when companies like this were it by so off. We pay their bills and salaries and executives. Look what we get in return, a cold slap in the face. This new Altice product is a waste of money. I have had cable since the very beginning in the early 1970s and it has become a real travesty in Westchester County, if not all over the country. What a complete ripoff and disaster.
