Dress was ordered too big. then when picking up at alterations, didn’t notice that they didn’t finish hemming my dress. Unfortunately I did not catch that and now I have walk in sand with a very long dress for the wedding.

Worked with Maria today on a bridal comeback appointment and she was great. She was very helpful, gave us lots of information, was patient, and just overall nice to work with. Prices were reasonable and it’s a nice one stop shop for all your wedding needs.

Daniel was absolutely amazing today. He knew what to do when my friend(bride) was completely lost. It was her first session but I believe it was a great first time for her. She had fun and so do we! Will definitely be going back to try the favorite dress on again to get her to say yes to that dress!!! He also picked out the favorite bridesmaid dress absolutely stunning. I work as a stylist myself and have the honor of working with Daniel, another *wonderful* stylist at the Madison David’s Bridal, and recently went in to DB with my family as a bride. The experience at Davids Bridal is one that will not be forgotten. Tina at the West side Madison location was phenomenal! She was so kind, and really was able to bring together my dream wedding gown. She also was able to lay out the dress so beautifully for pictures. She really got to know my family and I, we were even able to include my MOH who was 1800 miles away. I went in with only the intention of looking at gowns and was able to come out with not only my wedding gown but the gowns for my bridesmaid dresses as well! Thank you Tina for the great experience.

I went here twice with two of my bridesmaids and had Daniel both times as our consultant. He was so amazing and knowledgeable about the dresses. Found the perfect dress here just two days ago! Cara was so sweet and I didnt feel any pressure to make a decision or to buy anything that day. I ended up buying because she was so invested to look if my dress could be made with sleeves (which is what I wanted), and that really sealed the deal! Athena was the best consultant today. I have been procrastinating going into David’s knowing that my bridesmaids dress is FAR too small and I would have to buy a new one. When I came in I found out that the dress I needed had been discontinued over a year ago. But that was not issue for Athena. Not only did she get alterations involved to see if they could work a miracle, she spent the time to find dresses in my size in multiple styles close to the original dress. She made me feel so comfortable and much less upset with myself. She made what could have been a really terrible day into an optimistic and successful shopping experience.

I have had an amazing experience from picking out bridesmaids dresses to getting my alterations done. I had called to get a quote from David’s Bridal for alterations and they answered all of my questions and helped me understand the entire process moving forward. I had an appointment at Davids Bridal yesterday for my first time shopping for my bridal gown. I was so nervous because Im plus sized and the worry of things not fitting or being fat shamed was heavy on my mind. I quickly met up with Daniel and he was amazing! So kind, honest, and such a knowledgeable attendant (?) I was able to have fun and find an amazing dress! Yes, things didnt fit right but they had so many dresses in higher sizes I felt I was able to really get a great idea of what the end result will be!Daniel even had time for my mother to try on dresses and he picked some amazing ones! It gave us a great idea of what she will be wearing to the wedding too!I will be asking to have my next appointment with Daniel when I bring my bridesmaids up! Highly recommended!!

Went in just to look and didn’t want any help. The person at the front was so kind and explained where everything was, asked if I needed help and I said please no I just want to look. She said she would have someone check in. I was looking at all the pretty choices when someone came to check on me a couple times. Point is I appreciated the offer of help but not being pushy! I was able to look and see that yes, I will be calling back to make an appointment with a stylist. Thank you for the kindness without being pushy!

Maria at the Mineral Point Rd in Madison WI was absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable. She knew exactly which size and dresses to bring out based on my niece’s wishes. In fact, every dress she brought fit and looked perfectly. She also had the right advice for each of them in terms of alterations and best use the day of. But, what warmed my heart the most, was when my niece found ‘the’ dress. She understood the moment and said sweetly to my niece to enjoy and take her time with it ❤️ Absolutely wonderful.

My experience was great, I was looking for Bridesmaid dresses and right as I walked in everyone was helpful and kind. My stylist was Daniel and he was very friendly and helpful. We got measured and he directed us to the section we should be looking at while getting our rooms ready. He got the ones we were wanting to try on and guided us to our dressing rooms. He asked the bride about the wedding like what time of year it was and then by comments about the dresses we tried on he got more that we really liked. Overall it was a great experience and we had an amazing stylist.

If you are looking to feel extra special Daniel is the consultant for you. My mom asked him to pull a dress that he thought I would look beautiful in and he delivered far more than I could have ever asked for. There’s been times I’ve come to David’s bridal and haven’t had a good experience. Particularly when I was shopping for my wedding dress, they were pretty cold and acted like I shouldn’t have been there. BUT when it came to looking for my brides maid dress for my sisters wedding it was like a whole new experience. I’m not sure what changed because this was only a couple months apart. It was so easy and everyone I worked with, start to finish, was absolutely amazing. I got a dress ordered and I want to give a major shout out to the alterations manager Elle Smith. She did such a good job with the alterations and really listened to how I wanted it to fit even though it’s not usually what you do (going a little past the floor.) She was great just to talk to. I’m so glad the experience was better the second time around. I’m kind of glad no other stores had the color my sister was going for in her wedding because it gave me a second glance at David’s bridal. Thank you !

Went in today to look for a brides dress for me, bridesmaid, and flower girl dress. We were able to walk out having our dresses picked out bc of Ashley. I did a dress alteration (hemming) for my sons wedding. The staff were professional and competent, it was done on time, and the finished product is perfect! I can’t begin to express how comfortable my stylist made me feel. I am a plus size female, and I want to be the center of attention because of my dress, not my weight. I kept saying I wanted a bigger bottom dress to hide my mom bod. I must have picked out 7 or 8 dresses none of them I felt, “this is the one.” Until Daniel came over and said try this one, I know it’s not like these ones but just try a fitted one. IT WAS THE ONE! He kept telling me how stunning and beautiful I looked in it, and I believed him with my entire heart! He was professional but could be himself if that makes sense, we left with each other’s social media information, and I can’t wait to meet up and share my wedding photos with him. Maria was so lovely helping me at my appointment to exchange a bridesmaid dress. The pandemic changed wedding plans multiple times, so I was worried I was out of luck with my dress, but it was easy to get an appointment and make me happy! Maria helped me with picking out some different styles and was able to ensure that the dress arrived before the wedding date! I didnt think that would be possible, and now I have a great dress to wear!

I went to get my wedding dress because In the Madison area there isn’t a lot of places to shop for a dress. The selection they have wasn’t bad, but the person helping did not seem engaged or even interested in my wedding party, she did not seem to care much to the point that some of her coworkers were suggesting ideas and bringing us dresses to try on, I am personally a first impression person and I could definitely tell the person helping us would not be a good one for any one shopping for a dress. I decided on my dress because I like it, but was not even offered to look at the veils. First question the lady asked was if I had a budget I told her I did and it was between 1500-2000 , my dress was less than 1K and she still did not even offer to show me any shoes or things that go with the dress..... Moving forward I would definitely not recommend DB to any of my friends, would much rather drive to Chicago or Milwaukee..

After the 2nd visit I chose my dream dress! My fiancé and I have a running joke that I’m his queen and he’s my king. We both really love Disney okay? So I was determined to find something that made me feel just like a Queen and I did! With all the thanks to Sarah & Daniel! You two made me feel beautiful and were so encouraging! Maria was phenomenal! After coming from a not so great experience at another bridal house I was incredibly anxious going into this. She was extremely patient, always had wonderful suggestions when I was starting to feel too bewildered or lost and made me feel incredibly comfortable. My daughter and I went to get dresses for a wedding in September.35 mins is all it took. First dress for me and her second one for her.Not only was the staff there for our needs, we were able to bring home the dresses we found, and the best part was they were both new style dresses both under $100! I came here and found my dream wedding dress. It was such a special day for all of us; my mom, sister, future MIL and future SIL were there from out of town, and we had a blast looking at dresses. My future SIL came all the way from Kansas City to be there. Everyone took a day off of work to be there with me, and they rearranged their schedules. I bought the dress, and that was that. A couple of months later, I called to check on the dress to see where it was. I hadn’t heard anything, and it was past the date they told me it would be ready, so I wanted to check in (no one from the store bothered to call me with an update). Good thing I called when I did… they told me they would have to look into it and get back to me. They called back, and the dress was nowhere to be found. The warehouse didn’t have it, and the only one available was “damaged”. My dream dress was gone. When I asked what they could do to make this right for me, they said they could give me a refund, exchange the dress for something else, and “maybe” give me a 10% discount if I purchased something different. They would not give me a credit for what I had already paid for the dress, or match what I had already shelled out. Then a few days later they called again and said they found my dress, but in a size too small. They said they’d be willing to set me up with the alterations department to make any changes. Call me crazy, but I didn’t want to take the chance of getting my dream dress in a size too small, and then have the hassle of trying to make it big enough. They also were pushy about me coming back into the store to pick out something else. I just had my heart broken by this situation, so there was no way I could even step foot back into the store. I did not want to make another appointment. I mulled over my options for a few days, taking in the trauma of not getting the dress that I so desperately wanted, and that my entire entourage loved. I went with the refund. Typically I am not the type of person the write a review, but I needed to share this experience. I have shopped at David’s Bridal before for other events, and never had anything like this happen. I am incredibly disappointed in the options you gave me when you did not have my dress (a possible 10% discount is not good enough), and no one bothered to contact me about an update on the dress. I had to call you. Had I not called, I’d be sitting and waiting for the dress to never come. David, I am going to Vera’s House of Bridals where I know I’ll be treated with respect, and excellent customer service. And you know what? I feel like spending a lot more money this time around. You made a big mistake. Huge.

My mom and I stopped in to look for a homecoming dress. They had a good selection of dresses!

I took my wedding dress here to get altered on July 18th. I was told it would be ready on September 2nd. On August 28th I received a call saying it wont be ready until September 30th...four weeks late and less than two weeks before my wedding. No apologies, no discount, nothing.

Went with my bestie for her to just get a feel for dresses and see what she likes and we had Maria who was amazing and attentive. Definitely recommend going.

I came in to get my bridesmaid dress, and I got Daniel as a stylist. HE IS AMAZING! He was so educated about the styles and materials, and he gave honest helpful opinions. He was upbeat and so sweet. Highly recommend him if you’re going to get a dress!

We had an appointment for bridesmaids dresses at 4:30. Arrived at 4:20 to check in, and didnt get helped until 5. The girls all picked out 3-4 styles of dresses to try on, and the lady helping us brought all the styles for one girl. And then brought 4 styles for the next girl. So by the time the last girl had her dresses, the first couple were already done. We also had to track the employee down to find different styles and sizes since after she handed the last girl her dresses we never really saw her again. Also had to track her down so we could have some clips. Nobody ever showed us how the dresses were supposed to look. I get the store was busy but isnt that the point of an appointment? Maybe next time dont take so many walk ins.

Had a great experience here! Only reason I gave 4 stars is because some of the dresses I wanted to try on were not in store. This isn’t the fault of this location, just a David’s Bridal thing in general. Breanna was super helpful even though we were pretty chaotic, but she was organized and efficient.

I went in for my appt for a bridesmaid dress by myself expecting a stylist to help me. I believe i was assigned two new girls? I ended up trying to get my own dresses off the rack and trying them on. Half the time I couldnt even zip up the dresses by myself. Im postpartum and have issues currently trying to find my new size. I was trying to only find dresses that i could get in time but again no one assisted me. Daniel saw my struggle and did his best at the very end to salvage the appt when i had brought some dresses to the front but by then it was too late and i had spent an hr 15 minutes struggling to find something to fit. I guess it just depends on who you get so i would request daniel. Btw i got home and the dresses i have on hold wont be delivered in time for the wedding. Time wasted

I live closer to another location that was not as informative about their exchange & in store credit for a dress I did purchase and was extremely unhappy with. Over the phone this location gave me the advice to get the in store credit which I truly appreciated after a tearful sleepless night. This location had more dresses closer to my plus size, I was able to get a better idea how the dresses would look in my size. Overall the young lady that helped me was very nice and helpful yet you could tell she was fairly new as she had to confirm details of how I would be able to use my credit towards alterations & such.

Myself and my friend went in to try in dresses . Daniel was fabulous!! I’m so glad we got him. He listened to what i thought I wanted. Brought them to me. In the end he pick two dresses that I definitely was not interested in. BUT they were the best !!! I can’t thank him enough for putting up with us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was able to find a dress and they were able to order it in my size. I would give 5 stars if (1) the staff wasn’t so busy and (2) they were able to measure the bride to find the right dress for her. Understandably so, COVID precautions didn’t allow for the measurements which made things a bit difficult for the bride to be.

Lovely shopping for a dress for my son’s wedding. No pressure but very good help!

Went there for a bridesmaid dress fitting (dress already picked out, most of the party already ordered, I just need a size), and had to tell 3 different people all of the information about the wedding - date/bride/that I was not picking out my own dress/what color I thought the dress was that was already picked out. I would expect that information to be on file - that I could just say Im a bridesmaid for so-in-so and they would say yes, we have the dress information right here, but nope. Not a big deal really. Then, they didnt have that dress to try on, so I tried on a different one, and then, when they confirmed the date of the wedding as I was purchasing, it was wrong (which made me a little nervous). Then they called me to tell me my dress came in when it was my mom-in-laws dress that was in. Again, not a big deal, but it seems a lot more complicated than it needed to be. Next time, Ill just order online & have it shipped.

Tina was amazing. I had no idea what I wanted and she helped me narrow it down to a perfect dress!

I took my maid of honor and bridesmaids here to see what styles they like well before they need to be purchased. There looked to be a ton of options but there were a lot of the same dress or very similar styles. We were not the only people the consultant worked with at the same time. I don’t feel like we got much attention other than being asked if we had questions.

Had a great experience with my consultant Savannah yesterday trying on and picking out a mother of the bride dress.  It was really easy. I set up an appointment time.  I previewed dresses online @ Davids bridal website and created my favorites list.  Savannah greeted me and graciously pulled my favorites and I found two additional dresses at the store which I had not noticed online. COVID mask wearing, sanitizing and social distancing made me feel safe during my appointment.  Looking forward to my daughters wedding. I have a beautiful dress to wear for her special day.

The staff at the Madison location was amazing! They took their time to work with me and find my dream dress. Looking forward to working with them again for ordering the dress and alterations.

Not enough good words to say about the Madison, Wi location. More than accommodating, excellent customer service, and a clean and organized store! Athena helped me and was very kind. Will be back for future dresses. If you are unsure where to shop, go here! :)
