Never again! The customer service from rental center was the worst, plus the first come first service is not fun if you have an hour drive and you can not pay over phone and start rental time then so you know your guaranteed your rental item but no I drive all the way down and someone rented it minutes before I got there. Two hours driving wasted. When I came to return unit that guy was pleasant. Until my original home depot employee came out I guess its hard to find good help now day!

Rented some equipment. It did not work. When returned, they could not get it working, and acknowledged something was wrong with it. It had not been checked from the last renter who returned it just prior to our arrival. Lovely for them to charge for the rental despite this. Excellent customer service.

If you dont value your time. Go here. They are for sure the best at wasting it. Especially the tool rental. They should win an award for being the slowest functioning department in madison.

Asked Nicki while she was in the tool department if she was the tool dept expert. She replied she was. I asked about cordless tool manufacturer warranties. When asked about a warranty w/o a receipt, she replied that no manufacturer had any warranty w/o a receipt. I knew better than that. Ridgid has a 3 year warranty based on the serial #. When asked about repair return experience she stated that shes never known of a tool return. The Home Depot tool service and rental dept shelf is full of Ridgid tools out for service.For a dept expert she is full of hot air and not to be trusted. Dont call her on it because shell run to the back of the store to get someone and never return.This place has become the Walmart of home building and remodeling, Incompetence and disrespect has become the default norm. There are a few others there that go above and beyond, but they are the exception, not the rule.

Tool rental department required I pay for a repair of a power tool I was interested in renting.....if I wished to rent it. Ludicrous, just plain insane.
