Just had my Pixel fixed here by Johnny. He really understands customer service and even with a delay in shipping for my part, worked hard to keep me happy. I have to use my phone for work in the hospital and with all the security apps I need for my job, getting a new one running isnt that simple. I hope his boss values him even half as much as I appreciate his hard work and dedication to doing a job well done.

The guy at Tech Heroes on Mineral Point Road, the counter person, Christopher (I think, he never introduced himself) was rude, insensitive, and sarcastic. I politely told him that I wanted to have the main battery replaced. I had the Dell service tag, serial number, model number, and part # from Dell and a description of the OEM battery. He took the computer off the counter and started to unscrew the back panel.The procedure to expose the battery requires many separate steps. I know that because the service manual clearly describes what it takes, about half an hours work.I tried to explain that I didnt want to have him take the computer apart but merely give me a rough estimate of the cost of parts and labor. The battery does not just sit below the back cover. There is an internal bezel and several other disconnects to see the battery specs. I had the information for the specific OEM battery. He jumped up and shouted at me, Are you trying to tell me how to do my job then take your computer somewhere else!Whoa!!!!! Where did that come from? I left with my tail between my legs and Christopher glowering at me.I took it to Madison Computer Works up the road. The counter person met me at door, took the paper I have with all the laptop specs, looked up the cost of an OEM Dell battery, and gave me an estimate on labor. Then told me a timetable to get it installed.Needless to say, I am going to MCW to get the computer fixed. I dont care if it cost a bit more. At least I can feel comfortable about the process.Politeness today means putting the customers’ needs before your own. It means consistently being welcoming, being respectful, and interested in the customer. It means listening to them and watching our language around customers. It means thinking about how one looks, how one sounds, and how one acts around customers and being aware of what may offend. When one is paid for our work by a company, one represents that company to its most valuable resource – it’s customers.

Went here based on all the positive reviews.We brought a broken phone in, they had it over 12 days and were not able to fix it. We had to call to get updates on the status because even though they said they would provide us with updates no one once ever contacted us to explain the diagnosis/delay. Giving 2 stars vs 1 because we were not charged for them to diagnose the issue (broken screen), but waiting that long without a working phone when they told us they could fix it in 2 days was beyond frustrating. They also returned the phone in worse condition then I brought it in (missing screws, no longer able to charge or extract data). I would not go back here.

I went to ubreakifix and they told me my xbox was unrepairable, I took it to tech heroes and the staff was super helpful and nice. They fixed it and it now works perfectly. I will now be going to tech heroes for all my tech needs. I highly suggest this place!

Brought my laptop in to get fixed and was told by the manager to buy a new one because it was too expensive to fix. When I went in to pick it up the man working told me that it was cheaper than the manager claimed ($200 for the part instead of $275 and that labor would be low because it was an easy task). I decided to get the laptop fixed after that because it was within my budget. I was told the laptop would be done within 2 weeks and I could come pick it up. About a month went by and I had not heard from the store at all, so I called them and they told me they chose not to fix it because the manager did not believe it was worth the repair cost. I said I was still interested in fixing it and asked why they would choose not to fix it without telling me. They said they could still fix it and the man in store told me he would call me the following day with a labor estimate. I did not receive a call the next day. I got a call about a week later asking for the password on my laptop, so I asked how much the labor was for this process since they hadn’t ever told me. The manager told me the labor and part would equal about $375 which I did not have. The manager proceeded to get mad at me for the laptop being sent to get fixed again even though I never received a quote and said that I could not afford it at $375. The manager then got mad at me and harassed me on the phone for “making his job hard” and did not even acknowledge that they had my laptop in store for a month without telling me they weren’t going to fix it. He also didn’t acknowledge that I never received a quote for labor before it was sent to him to get fixed. He would not hear me out and cut me off saying I needed to go pickup my laptop from their store tomorrow. He then proceeded to hang up on me. I have had nothing but a stressful confusing process. If the store communicated better with their customers and between their employees this all could have been avoided. I still have to pay for this whole process in order to get my laptop back.Horrible customer service, horrible communication. Do not recommend. Man in the store is very nice, but the manager or owner needs to learn how to communicate with customers.

The touchscreen of my laptop broke. These guys fixed it within a week - including waiting for the correct part to come in - and were upfront with what the price would be (which was what I expected). The employee was really nice, too. Im very happy with the service, and having my laptop fixed! With expensive, important things like a computer you dont want just anyone working on it, and I felt like my laptop was safe with them.

Dropped my laptop and thought I lost all of my pictures and important documents. Went to tech heroes and they were able to retrieve all my info and had it fixed the next day!!

US Cellular recommended UbreakIfix when my phone shut down. They had my phone for maybe 10 minutes and told me it was shot and that they couldnt pull any data off my phone and a new phone was needed. Sick about my loss went back to US Cell spent 900.00 on new phone. They then recommended Tech Heroes to try and retrieve pics....took my phone there and within seconds the tech told me there was NO WAY that there was any attempt to take my phone apart...with the hour they replaced battery and charged it and its fine!

Tech Heroes had a nice guy behind the counter. The place had a respectable atmosphere. Unfortunately the computer fix I needed, whats something they couldnt do and they referred me elsewhere.

I was helped by Johnnie.Super friendly as soon as he picked up the phone. He knew what the problem was immediately just from me vaguely explaining it and was knowledgeable about phone brands, phone models and up to date with issues that may be present in each. Was up front about cost, time and the phone parts that would be used to replace my old ones. Johnny has always given us great customer service! Hes so knowledgeable and always gives the best advice for our phones. We dont go anywhere else when we need our phones looked at. I have dealt with this location and the East Wash location and both have been exceptional. The East Wash location replaced any iPhone charger port for my wifes phone, while I waited, for a very competitive price. The Mineral Point location has troubleshooted several Android problems for me and Chris has always gone above and beyond. I would recommend that anyone check with them first for any cell phone repair!

I have been to Tech Heroes (always this location on Mineral Point Road) too many times to count, always for cell phone repair. I have four kids and have had phones that were dropped, cracked, wouldnt restart, were in a loop, wouldnt stop giving error messages, or otherwise had malfunctioned. EVERY TIME BUT ONCE they have been able to fix it. I know not every problem can be repaired, but their batting average is fantastic. They work quickly, and their prices are beyond fair. And the time they couldnt fix it, they didnt even charge me. I dont know if thats their usual policy or they were just cutting me a break, but either way, I love these guys and I recommend them to everyone I know. They truly are HEROES!!!

Tech Heroes are my hero! I tried to replace the battery in my iPhone5c and couldnt get the screen attached correctly. The tech fixed it in 15 minutes and the rates were more than reasonable. The employees are knowledgable and friendly.

Just got back from picking up my wife still cracked galaxy s4 phone. When we dropped if off about two hours ago they said it would be done by 3:45.When I go in to pick it up him and his co-worker are chatting it up with three friends. When I ask for the phone he brings it to me and lets me know then that he didnt have the glass on hand to do the repair. That would have been more helpful to know before we left the phone there and I wasted a trip bad to the store.So yea he isnt my tech hero today.

Kevin was excellent in handling a repair of my iphone camera lens. I went in to his store thinking that it was smashed and would have to be replaced (at a cost of around $80.00 I was told). He could have told me that it was, replaced it, charged me and sent me on my way. I would have been happy that I got it fixed right away at the same cost as Apple Care. Instead he was honest in telling me that it was just dirty and cleaned it on the spot at a fair charge.Excellent service by an honest tech.

Brought my laptop in for repair and they gave me mixed pricing along with horrible communication. The boss is horribly rude and does not communicate well with the guy in store. They also make decisions without talking to the customer about them.

Ive taken my phone to Tech Heroes on Mineral Point Rd twice now, once when it had water damage and another when the screen appeared to come off the base of the phone. I cant say enough about the service I received. They were extremely helpful and saved me a ton of money by fixing my existing iPhone rather than having to purchase a brand new one! I highly recommend them!

Nice guy with quick service, but the quality of the replacement glass/display for the iPhone 7 is subpar. The glass shows more fingerprints and the color saturation is not comparable to OEM screens.

I came in desperate for help with my laptop. It was doing strange things with the keyboard. He said he could help. And I needed two keys I had taken off to be put together and placed back onto my laptop. At first he said that they would have it done by Saturday. Came to pick it up and he said he had not gotten to it. I left it there for a whole week, with this feeling he needed more time because he had so many other things to do. I came back to pick it up more than a week later and it still had not been worked on. I ended up taking it home. I spent 30 mins watching a Youtube tutorial on how to put keys back on. And I was able to get both back on. BY MYSELF! It was easy. I am going to try and figure out my keyboard issue on my own. I know eventually I will figure it out.I was really disappointed. If the problems I presented him were of a level he was unfamiliar with or something he wasnt able to do, I wish he would have just said so. Theres no doubt in my mind that he is a good with other things and very good at replacing screens and whatnot. He was so very kind, friendly and I felt comfortable talking with him. But with the experience I had received this is how I feel, sorry Johnny! :/

I came in and the service technician was awesome. He helped me right away and he fixed my computer. He told me 24 hours and when I arrived after 22 hours it was ready. I will recommend this facility to anyone with computer issues.

Extremely disrespectful staff at both west and east town locations. Picked my phone up in worse shape then when I dropped it off. Within a few weeks it shattered the screen without any pressure applied to it. I called Apple and they said I should call the place I got it done because thats where the problem arose from. I called them and they were extremely rude and unhelpful and told me to call someone else because they dont want to deal with this. Theyre lazy and arent qualified at their jobs.

They don’t stand behind their work. I had an iPad screen replaced. Their work was sloppy with glue all over the outside, but I let it slide since they did it same day. The real issue was when I returned 2 weeks later after the screen cracked when applying a screen protector. They have a no-replacement policy for physical damages, which is understandable if we had dropped or abused the device. But we’ve applied screen protectors before on several phones and this has never happened. The screen was wiped clean with alcohol before applying, but he kept insisting there was a particle on the protector that broke it under pressure. I said that’s ridiculous so he tried to prove it on one of their iPhone’s but failed miserably. He then called his boss who apparently was able to see said particle via FaceTime almost immediately. Even if he had extraordinary vision, I have no clue how the camera would have picked it up especially in indoor lighting. Anyway, the boss was willing to compromise and offered to fix if I paid for the part. They said $40 or I bring the part. If I did, they’d charge me $20 for glue to put it on. Yes, $20 for glue! I told him that I just learned to fix an Apple watch myself and I know how much those adhesives cost, to which he had no answer. There wasn’t any point in arguing because even if they agreed to fix eventually, I’d already lost trust and didn’t want their hands on it. My advise - Avoid these guys if you can, and learn to fix yourself. It’s not rocket science and I regret not having tried that in the first place.
