Came in and explained the problem with my computer. Without even needing to open it, I was told what parts I needed, where to get them, and to bring it back once Id gotten them. Once I got them I brought it back and gave my computer to them to fix. Within a day I had already gotten a call telling my computer was ready and fixed. Came in and picked it up with only a charge for labor. Great customer service and knowledgeable on computers. Will be going here again for future needs.

Great experience working with these folks! I am really impressed. The job was done in the time that said it would take, they did not charge me for a service charge because they did not find a problem (who does that anymore?) They loaded on some clean-up tools for me and I ended up buying a new mouse. That was the least I could do. I highly recommend this company! Very friendly and personalized service, they greeted me by name, when I stopped back. A few years back I had them repair my Asus Rog G750JW because I had burned out the charger socket piece due to over charging.This time around I came back with the same laptop with the same problem (I know I have a bad habit.)I knew they had done a splendid job before so I figured it would be a breeze to do it again. The guy behind the counter took a look at it and said it was too old to repair.... and that I was better off buying a new one.Im all for upgrading tech but I knew my laptop wasnt too old to still run games like FFXIV and Elder Scrolls so how is it too old to repair?I went and bought the part myself off of amazon and repaired it in a couple hours for 20 bucks. Runs and charges like new. Its too bad, they missed out on some businesss.

Every time Ive done business with Byte Size over the past several years, Im amazed at the consistently excellent customer service I experience. From diagnosing and explaining whats ailing my computer, to fixing it in more than a reasonable amount of time, there is no room for complaint. On occasion I required in-home service, and that too was conducted efficiently, at a reasonable cost. The staff is knowledgeable and a joy to work with. I wont go anywhere else, simply because I cant imagine better service.

Byte Size Solutions is nearby so thought I would give them a try. I needed a diagnosis and install of Windows 10 on my Surface.The service tech guy, Dan, gave me a price to do a diagnosis and install brand new Windows 10. He needed me to leave my brand new Surface and the charging cord but was not even going to give me any kind of receipt . . . huh? Uh, no. So I had him print me something. (jeepers this should be standard business practice, kind of expensive equipment to leave behind without some kind of acknowledgement). Next when I went to pick it up . . . the price he quoted me WAS NOT what he charged me. Guess I should have had that estimate put into writing also. So I paid it. Then I realized he did not even give me a decent receipt, just the Visa slip. But no invoice or anything saying what had been done (which I would want for my records, and again should be standard business practice). Back home and reading through the Nextdoor (social media) thread I see several negative comments about Byte Size (there were some positive too, but more than offset by negative). I need some more computer work on another laptop, but I will try another nearby place next time.

My laptop had a catastrophic liquid/electrical disaster! Dan at BSS was able to recover the contents of my SSD, and had everything transfered to my new machine within 24 hours. In the process, he removed all the bloatware, etc... And the price was very reasonable. He also was very polite, made some great recommendations, and took the time to explain everything he did. I couldnt be happier, nor could I recommend this place more highly. THANK YOU!

This is the best computer service I have ever received! My whole family goes here for any issue we have now. I built my new gaming tower with there help and its amazing. I have had it for about half a year now and no issues ever! Its fast and they even assembled it and got the parts. They sat down and explained to me (in words i would understand) what exactly each thing would do for my computer and what that cost would be. They were honest and would tell me if I needed or really didnt need something. My computer was built and ready in about a week and they even made a house call to set it up in my home for me. It was such friendly and great service I no longer go or talk to anyone else!

I paid them to break my laptop.Let me tell you the story of Bakari(my laptop). I have taken my laptop there before with no issues. They fixed the problem and it was great. So once the same thing started happening again I thought it was no issue for me to take it to them. Boy was I wrong. So I took my laptop in he did the diagnostics and I paid the $50. He tells me that he has to order a part for it and that it would take about a month. Ok cool. I can go without playing Sims for that long. A month later I call him and ask about it. He tells me the part will be in in a couple of days. I call back a week later. He tells me that the part that was shipped was wrong(or broken. I dont remember the line for the first time). He says that the new part should be in next week. Ok. This time he calls me and tells me that the part he received was broken and that I can either get a store credit or get some of my money back because I still had to pay for his labor. Ok. I go to the store to get my laptop and ask for my money back. He asked for my credit card so he can refund. I have American Express so he cant use my card(It says they dont accept AMEX so I figured you cant refund to an AMEX either). He then tells me that I cant give you cash because it will clear out my drawer. Now Im mad. He tells me that he will send a check in the mail. I give him my address then leave. Not even turning on my laptop because there was no work done on it. It should still work right? 2 weeks pass and I still havent received a check. My sister(who is the one that paid for the repairs as a gift for me) goes to them on her off day and ask Why havent we received a check? He blames it on his boss. My sister gives him her card(same card used to pay for the repairs). Instead of refunding it, he charged her again. Taking her checking account into the negative. She explains that now she has an overdraft and he needs to give her $35 extra. He charges his card and takes the $35 in cash and gives it to her. She leaves because now theres nothing that he can do. Fast forward to last week, I turn on Bakari to do some work that doesnt require my fan to work overtime. My laptop doesnt even load now. I just get a black screen. I literally paid them labor to break my laptop. Now I have to go to Geek Squad for them to undo the damage Byte Size Solutions did to my gaming laptop.

My computer stopped working recently. I took it in to be fixed, and they looked at it. Apparently the inside had gotten clogged with dust, and they removed said dust. I got it back a week later and it was working perfectly, and they didnt even charge me. Really friendly customer service, and all around great people. I would highly recommend them for computer issues.

Have been using ByteSize for a couple of years. The last two times the service has not been the greatest and I am disappointed. My computer was not connecting to WiFi and Norton utilities was not working. They ran a diagnostic and found no virus. On the phone I was told they would help me get Norton working when I picked up the computer.I was told to just hit forget if the WiFi wasnt connecting. I picked up the computer and was told to call Norton. I have no idea what forget means and paid $50 for me to call Norton. Eiyee. come down to my level please. I will find another computer repair business- I guess when I take something in to be repaired, I expect to have it repaired.

Did maintenance on my old computer. They made it quite slow. They should have recommended more RAM. I put more RAM in myself.

Had a dispute with Newegg. Got to the point I needed someone local in sales/repair to get involved and write a letter. Noone in town would touch this not Best buy, not Milwaukee PC, no one. ByteSize stepped up and even emailed me the letter I needed to win this dispute. I was worried they would need time and money to make a huge assessment and everything. They heard what I did, agreed, and had a letter to me free of charge in hours! Also I won my dispute. Definitely top on my list for PC stuff from now on!
