Yes, the waiting area is comfortable and makes for a pleasant experience, but keep your pockets zipped around these folks. A few years ago they quoted me $1,500 for a repair that I declined and then had done perfectly for $350 by a local independent shop (I expect to pay more at a dealer, but not that much more). And recently, after an oil change, the tech told me I needed some additional work that would cost close to $200. I took it to the independent and was told I needed no such thing. If I buy any more Toyotas, it will not be from Smart Motors.

My wife and I have been driving two 2001 vehicles for years, and have been meaning to purchase new ones since before the pandemic. We heard horror stories about limited options for both new and used vehicles and high prices, but we visited Smart Motors to start the process of looking. We were met by Phyllis as soon as we got out of our car, who listened to our needs and wants, gave us as many options as possible, encouraged us to test drive multiple vehicles, and didnt give up when we didnt find anything that was quite what we were looking for right away. We ended up purchasing a 2013 Tacoma that had just been traded in, which is in excellent shape and exactly what we were looking for, and a used 2021 Corolla that is beautiful and perfect for us in every way. Couldnt be happier, and couldnt recommend them any more highly. Oh, and the prices quoted were reasonable and fair!

Smart motors never paid the registration fees on my truck so I ended up with a $200 bill when I went to renew my plates. Ive bought 3 vehicles from them and have had issues with all 3 of them. The last car I bought from them had to be towed back after driving 45 miles because the coolent drained from the car.

I brought my 2015 Toyota Corolla in to Smart Motors on at least 2 separate occasions for a repair of the stereo. The Corolla was still under the 35,000 mile bumper to bumper certified warranty at the time and the driver side speaker kept cutting out. I was told the first time the technicians did not hear the problem. The second time I was told the technicians noted the problem and thought they may have fixed it. I live approximately 45 minutes away and was having the same problem again by the time I got home. I decided to take a look at the issue myself due to time constraints, work, and rescheduling yet again to have it looked at. After removing the door panel I discovered two wires were out of the speakers; one from the lower door speaker, and the other from the tweeter. A simple fix. I know it is not the biggest deal as it is just a stereo speaker, but I wanted it taken care of under warranty. In hindsight I do not believe the technicians took a minute to explore the issue and blew me off. The problem was obvious and easy to repair.

Smart motors will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. I came to smart motors as a fresh graduate with not much knowledge on leasing cars and they walked me through the entire process. They were able to get me out the door with a car in the same day. Great option.

I wanted to wait a few months before posting this. Looking back on my recent purchase some of the things I wish I had pushed more. The vehicle I purchased is great. However basics cleaning was missed. Please check the car you are looking at purchasing. My vehicle was not properly cleaned. So the detailing was a 1 on a scale from 1-10z If you are buying a vehicle that isn’t a Toyota make sure you are protected. I referred a friend who traded in their car. The car was on the last leg, they were made aware of this and still accepted the trade in. I saw my buddy’s vehicle listed for sale for $1,000++ more than they offered him. There where no changes made to fix up his vehicle when zooming into the picture online there were still noticeable blemishes since I knew the car I spotted them right out. Needless to say the vehicle is not worth the overpriced listing price. When they showed him the price on Kelly blue book they most likely put the car was fair rather than good. Then listed the car for their price by selecting the car was good or very good since there is no way the car is valued at the $1,000+ mark up. If purchasing a vehicle ask about where the vehicle came from and what exactly has been checked and worked on since the vehicle trade in. This is an investment don’t have anyone pressure you. It’s okay to say no and shop around. I purchased my vehicle after shopping around for more than 2 months. I saw several vehicle here and other places. You can really tell how trust worthy a sales person or company is. If they are telling you about a reputation that is great. Yet remember people that do things ethically do not have to announce and prove it. You as a person purchasing will feel it. This company prides themselves on being established and customer service. This is great however if you are selling used cars there should be a mandatory extended warranty more than 6 months. Or drive the car more than normal before the promised warranty ends to make sure you are in the clear with the vehicle purchase.

Weve bought 2 vehicles through Smart Toyota over the past 3 years and both were handled well. Salespeople are thorough and communicated well without being annoying. In both cases we came in for test drives and then didnt move forward right away and the salespeople didnt badger us endlessly afterwards or put us on generic email lists. In both cases our vehicles werent on the lot and were either on order or being transferred from another dealership and in both cases our salespeople kept us regularly updated on the status of where things were at.So far we havent needed much service, but the service that we have had has been smooth and without issue. Its not the same service youd get at a Lexus dealership, but it is better than the average dealership experience.

I have been using smart Toyota services for last 5 years. last week and this week I had stopped by the express maintenance and the wait time is 3 hours to get in and 1 hour to do the work so total 4 hours. waiting times used to be under an hour but now waiting times are insane. website says no appointment needed for express maintenance and based on waiting times it should not be called EXPRESS MAINTENANCE. out of 8 bays only 4 are functional. I would rather service my vehicle at different auto store instead of spending 4 hours at SMART Toyota and it might cost less compared to this big box store.

Bought a truck for my business. I asked several times to assure the truck financing is under the business name and does not show up on my personal credit report. Fast forward one month....financing shows up on my personal credit. Finance department acts clueless when I question them. Contacting my attorney.

After 3 years with my leased car, I realized I no longer needed a second car and sold it back to the dealership. Smart Motors came through and gave me a very competitive offer to buy out my lease (my cars market value exceeded the residual value by an astonishing amount). TJ came to my house to appraise it, and again a couple days later with a check in-hand! TJ is a great person to work with.

I was in the market for a truck for a while. I wanted specifically a manual transmission because I believe that is the only transmission for a truck. Tacoma was the only option and given its reputation for durability, reliability, and resale value, a Tacoma was the best choice for me. Erick got me set up with a 2021 Tacoma Off Road with all the options I was looking for - and on sign day, the transaction was quick and painless. I really enjoyed working with Erick and the Smart Team!

My last experience at Toyota Smart Motors was simply awful. Horrible customer service, left with the sense they didnt care one bit about me.I had had my Corolla in for an airbag recall and after returning it to me the airbag light was still on so I brought it back in thinking this was an extension of the (free) recall service only to be charged $200.Then they fixed my interior overhead light bulb without telling me that the light still didnt work because it was missing a switch. To top it off they wanted to charge me over $100 to fix the horn, which I just had done elsewhere for $37.I personally would never go here unless you absolutely had to, many better auto shops in the area including Bennets and Jims.

Over priced and stuck up sales people !!I stopped in to check out a new car I had my eye on, it took sometime before Phil approached me while inside the dealer showroom, after a small chat about what I’m looking for he was in a hurry, he showed me what cars they had on their computer, when I tried to discuss the price, he was almost flippant, he almost made it clear that if I’m not willing to pay full price he did not want to waste his time with meHe kept handing me his card and almost walking away , all this was with in less than 5 minutes of talking to himThey really did not have much of a selection, their lot was almost emptyI walked away feeling disappointed as they were arrogant and sleazy at the same time and had no interest in even trying to negotiate a deal.I went to east side Toyota and had the opposite experience and ended up buying the same exact new car for $2k less than what sleazy Phil from smart Toyota insisted on and did not even want to talk to me

Overall I think our experience at Smart Motors was excellent. Our salesperson, Al Franklin, was wonderful - he answered all our questions and made sure we were comfortable with pricing, features, etc. of our 2021 Toyota Highlander. Only downside was the pressure from the finance side to purchase additional warranties and protections, I can understand not wanting to take a no but when a decision is made please let it go. I still rate at 5 star because of the excellent overall experience we had.

This was definitely the best vehicle purchase process I have been through.

I worked with Rodney Potter on recommendation from a friend. Rodney was kind, straightforward, honest, and forthcoming, not often things that you find in car sales. I came in knowing what I wanted in a vehicle, and I had done some research. He was able to beat my other, better price on a very similar vehicle from a different dealership, and he was also able to give us discounts on some of the extras that we were looking at. Kind of my own ignorance but what kind of place, in good faith, charges you $180 to tighten your gas cap? When we called and told them what the check engine light code was they seemed to not know what that meant or even to suggest tightening the gas cap. Be warned if you have a Toyota... Before service please check your gas cap.

We had a great experience! We went through pre-approval with our lender and then Smart staff walked us through the rest of the process. We knew which car we wanted, and by the time we got there (we live over an hour away), all we had to do with sign the paperwork. The process was completed in less than 24 hours, with 1 trip to the dealership. Our sales rep (Phyllis) was fantastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our financing experience was stress free and Lee had us out the door after 10 minutes with him and the paperwork. The car is awesome! I will even go back to Smart for the maintenance work!

Most personable place I’ve ever bought a car.

This morning I brought my vehicle in to have a recall done and was going to be issued a rental car. I was a bit flustered this morning and was not as prepared as I normally am. I went to the rental desk and talked with Cassie and Darnell who were more than patient. They gave me time to collect myself and figure out what information I needed to provide them. After about 15 minutes of calling my husband, calling my insurance company and looking through my car for my up-to-date insurance information they were more than understanding and accommodating. I left feeling very well taken care of and happy to work with Smart Motors. That being said, today I am coming back in to purchase my lease! Recently purchased a new vehicle from Smart Motors and worked with Alex. He made the buying process very smooth and enjoyable!!! I would definitely use Alex and Smart Toyota again in the future!I returned to dealer a couple days later to negotiate on a second vehicle. We were unable to reach a number on the vehicle, but I still give this experience a 5 star. I felt respected and it was not high pressure. Sometimes when purchasing a new vehicle it comes together and sometimes it does not. Both of my interactions with the Smart Toyota staff were very positive, when we came to a mutual number and I purchased and when we were unable to come to an agreeable number and I had to walk away.

Yesterday, we had an issue with our 2020 Toyota Rav4 when it wouldnt start. Since its a Hybrid and so quiet, we dont know if we didnt turn it off when we last used it (more than 36 hours prior) or what transpired. We contacted our sales advisor, Scott Nelson, to just ask what it could possibly be. What did he do? He didnt tell my husband over the phone what it could be, he drove to our house to take a look, connected a battery pack to get it started and he then proceeded to drive it around to get it charged to make sure it was all set! And then, today, he texted to ask if it started ok. Wow! Talk about GREAT customer service! Thank you, Scott!

This is my go-to place for oil changes and car maintenance on my Toyota. Friendly customer service, reasonable wait times, comfortable waiting area, and quality work for the most part. However, twice now when Ive had maintenance done on my tires I leave the service center only to find one of the hubcaps missing on my vehicle once I arrive home. Its a headache to go and buy a new one just because of some lack of attention in making sure things are secure before returning my vehicle. 4/5

Everyone at the dealership was courteous, friendly and helpful.Mike (Sales) spent an inordinate amount of time (to me) finding me a vehicle that met my requirements, both esthetically and within my budget. He was focused on/committed to seeing that I was happy with my purchase. He certainly succeeded!!This is the third vehicle my family has purchased from Smart Motors Toyota.
